Chris walked through his camp in the Westerlands with Stan Pines by his side. He spotted Pam, the battlefield medic he'd met before, writing a letter, and approached her. "Hello, Lady Pam."
"I'm not sure if I'm a lady or not," she said wryly.
"I think any woman of noble birth is called a lady," said Chris. "Isn't that right, Lord Pines?"
"Yeah, that's right, unless she's a queen or a princess," Stan said.
Pam smiled. "Why do you think I'm of noble birth?"
"It just seems obvious," Chris said.
"Well, you're wrong. My father Jerome kept a sleezy bar back in Volantis."
"Now you're lying," said Chris.
She flushed. "It's not nice to accuse a lady of dishonesty!"
"So, you are a lady," Chris said.
Pam realized her mistake. "Yeah. Whoops. Made a mistake there." They both laughed. "I always thought I was a brilliant liar."
"Guess you're better at amputations than you are at lying," said Chris.
She tried to change the subject. "This is a pretty spot. I hope we'll stay here for a while."
"I don't think I'm supposed to discuss troop movements with you," said Chris.
"I'm not a spy, you know," she said.
"Isn't that what a spy would say?" he asked.
Just then Lois came riding up, accompanied by Hayley Smith. "Mom! You're back!" Chris cheered. "This is Pam."
"Nice to meet ya," Lois said, shaking her hand. "I'm Lois."
"I gotta go now, Chris," said Pam. "It was nice talking to you." Lois watched Chris's reaction to her departure. He looked positively forlorn to see her leave.
"I missed you, Mom," said Chris.
"You're not fallin' in love with this girl, are ya?" Lois asked.
Chris was shocked. "What? No!"
"Because you're not allowed to. Remember, you promised you'd marry one of Walder Frey's daughters."
"She's right, Chris," said Stan.
Then Roose Bolton walked up holding a letter. "I have news from Winterfell."

"It can't be true," said Chris. They were inside his command tent.
"It's true," said Roose. "They're saying it at White Harbor, Barrowton, and the Dreadfort. Theon Greyjoy has captured Winterfell and his sister has seized Moat Cailin."
"Why would Theon betray me like this?" Chris wondered.
"Because the Greyjoys are treasonous whores," said Roose.
Lois shook her head. "I told ya, Chris. Never trust a Greyjoy. What happened to Stewie?"
"No word of him," said Roose. "But I did hear that they killed your maester."
Stan Pines was furious. "I left Dipper an' Mabel at your place because you promised they'd be safe! Now we don't know what's happened to them!"
"We've gotta march back north at once," said Chris.
"How can you march north when you've still got a war to win in the south?" Roose Bolton asked.
"How can I call myself a king when I can't hold my own castle?" Chris retorted.
"Being a king means you don't have to do everything yourself," Roose said. "We have the Lannisters on the run now. We'll lose everything we've gained if we march back north. My son can retake Winterfell for you."
"I didn't know you had a son," Chris said.
"He's a bastard. That's why he doesn't have my last name. His name's Ramsay. Ramsay Snow. He'd be happy to bring you back Theon Greyjoy's head."
"Well, I want Theon alive so I can look him in the eye and ask him why, before I execute him," said Chris. "But otherwise that sounds good. But your son has gotta understand that Stewie's safety is the most important thing."
"And Dipper an' Mabel's safety!" Stan added.
"Right. I'll tell him that," said Roose.
