Neville blinked. "What?" he asked.

"I said I know how to find Harry," Daphne said again. She grabbed his arm and pulled him towards one of the empty classrooms on the floor. She locked the door behind her as Neville kept looking at her in confusion and surprise. "I have a way that will help us know where he is," she said looking at him, "but I need your help…or rather Griffin's help."

"You know Griffin and I are…"

"Not on talking terms, yeah," she said. "But this can't be done without him. I can't trust Luna with this and Draco is out of reach. You are the only one who can help me. Please, Neville. I just need one help from you and you wouldn't even have to talk to Griffin for that. being a divine beast's host you can do it on your own without asking Griffin for it."

"We cannot ask common people to join this," Moody said looking at McGonagall.

"Which is why I need you to convince your auror friends at ICW to join this cause," she said. "While it would really be helpful if we could get every single witch and wizard in this, it as to be kept a secret considering no one knows about what divine beasts are. We will have to do with just the aurors and a handful of well-skilled duelists."

Moody nodded with a grunt. "Don't expect much from me though, as I don't know how many of them I will be able to convince."

"Use the memory I gave you" she said. "Neville gave me that in case my words couldn't convince the world leaders. This is actually something one wouldn't come to believe all of a sudden."

Moody smirked before using the head office's floo to head out.

I am still not sure about this," Neville said as Daphne held his hand and apparated him over to Dumbledore's location where he'd kept Ariana. The moment they arrived Neville felt another divine beast's aura. Being a host himself his senses to feel another beast or its host's presence was sharper than anyone else. He could also feel the strength of the wards around the place.

"You still won't tell me how you found out about this place?" he asked.

"Let's get what we came here for then I will tell you everything," Daphne said.

"Just a reminder, if we happen to face Dumbledore then I can't be of much help. I can only use a little bit of Griffin's powers since he decided not to talk to me. That means I can't go on offensive."

"What exactly happened between you and Griffin?" she asked.

"Let's get what we came here for then I will tell you everything," Neville said causing Daphne to smirk. "This way, right?" he asked.

"Yeah," she said. "This way you'll have lest amounts of traps to worry for."

"Nothing will matter the moment we are through the wards," he said. "Once we are through I will be able to sense where Scylla is."

Daphne nodded as Neville got into position. His magical aura flared up causing a small shockwave which almost pushed Daphne back. She brought her hands close to her face to protect her eyes from any flying dust or leaves as Neville's right palm crackled with raw magical energy. He breathed out and charged towards the wards. The next thing she knew she had to close her ears as the shattering noise of the wards was deafening.

"Come on!" she heard Neville shout. "I know where she is!"

Daphne wasted no time as she leapt on her feet following Neville. The wards had been shattered and its fallen pieces were disappearing away slowly. That itself said how dense and powerful they were.

"First floor, room on the left," Neville said. "I will stand guard. I can sense his arrival so you better be quick."

Daphne nodded and ran inside the house. Neville's senses were right. Dumbledore wasn't here…yet. Leaving everything she headed straight for the stairs and then to the left. A revealing charm revealed no traps or wads protecting the room's entrance so she simply flicked her wand to open the door.

Entering she found Ariana, lying on an adult-sized crib. It had runes engraved on every surface, glowing from time to time. She didn't know for what this runes were but her guess was that it meant to keep Ariana or rather Scylla in stasis, which is what Luna had said about Scylla's host – that she was in stasis.

Daphne knew she only needed to somehow wake up Ariana and the rest would be taken care by her. But she didn't know how to do it. Dumbledore wasn't stupid. There was no way she could simply wake Ariana by an enervate. Those runes on her crib would definitely be keeping her in stasis.

She carefully tried to destroy one of the crib's legs with a cutting hex and it just bounced off of it. She then walked over to it and tried to wake her up by calling her name. That didn't work either. She then reached for her but the runes activated all of a sudden, throwing Daphne off of her feet. She hit the walls behind her and fell on the floor. Her falling on the floor masked the sound downstairs.

Unknown to her Neville couldn't inform her about Dumbledore's arrival in time as the old wizard had apprehended the Longbottom heir before he could alert her.

Susan couldn't stop, not after she'd found out what these notes that Daphne had made were of. This was bad. This was really bad. She couldn't understand why Daphne would go to such lengths where she was literally endangering her life. She did understand, Susan. She knew why Daphne was doing this but still, this was too far. The least she could do was tell someone. Susan sighed looking at the remaining notes. There wasn't much left so she quickly went on to the next ones. The faster she finished them the quicker she will know of Daphne's final plans. She already had an idea as to where this was going but she desperately hoped that she was wrong.

Daphne groaned as she opened her eyes. She found herself in the same room where Ariana was but the only difference was that she was on a chair, bound completely to it. The last thing she remembered was getting hit by the rune protections around Ariana's crib so how did she end up like this…her eyes widened with realization. She looked around and soon her eyes fell on Neville, unconscious and tied to the chair beside her.

"Ah, you're awake, Ms Greengrass, or should I say Mrs Potter." She looked up as Dumbledore walked in. A chill ran down her spine as Daphne realized the situation she was in. This was bad, really bad. "I heard Harry is missing."

"Don't you dare say his name!" Daphne spat in pure anger.

"Ah, I wouldn't resolve to anger here, Mrs Potter, especially considering you're the one who's tied to the chair with no wand," he said. "It feels so weird seeing you as his wife. Ginny would've been a better fit but Harry had to do things his way."

"He's not your puppet," Daphne said. "He never was!"

"I got that gist when I first realized my plans going awry," he said. "I was, however, foolish to think that things would go back to the way they were supposed to. I had it simple but he just had to take control of his miserable life."

Daphne glared at him but at the same time she was sensing for her wand. She felt it was with Dumbledore so she sighed mentally. Hopefully he wasn't prepared for everything. Glancing at Neville she knew he wouldn't be of much help. All she needed was a way to wake Ariana up and Scylla would do the rest. At least that's what her ultimate plan for escaping was. Now she was considering it to be something she'd come up foolishly.

"What did you do to her?" she asked looking at Ariana behind him.

"Oh, I just made sure she didn't die from her illness," Dumbledore said. "I love her so much, my dear little sister. It just pains me to see her that way but it's better than her being dead."

"I know you know why I am here, Dumbledore," she said. "You can cut the crap."

He sighed. "What happened to PROFESSOR?!" he shouted as the room crackled with his magical power. It burnt on her slightly as she winced. "I had everything," he said calming down but his voice was still shaky. "But that brat had to ruin it all! In the end I was deemed a criminal and he had a direct role to play in that." He walked closer to her. "Why can't people see how great my vision for the future is? The greater good that could've been for us all…he ruined it."

"You mean you becoming immortal and ruling over everyone," Daphne said.

"Do you see how much hate and violence is there?" he said. "Things need to be put in check. People should be stopped from getting everything they want or desire. That is what is making this world a bad place to live in."

"None of it would matter if we don't stop Merlin," she said.

"And that is why I thank you for bringing Mr Longbottom to me," Dumbledore said. "I was at a loss when my beloved Fawks went away from me. I suppose you all had a role to play in that? But I wouldn't punish you for that. Not now since you brought another divine beast for me. I thank you for making my work easier, Mrs Potter." Daphne tried to get herself free but couldn't. "Your struggles are in vain, Mrs Potter. You cannot get free. I suppose I will use you to get to Harry as well. I would love to see the look of loss on his face when he loses everything he holds dear, just like he made me lose everything."

"You have a plan for everything," Daphne said.

"I don't want to brag about it but I am a very patient man," he said. "With patience everything comes to you. Your generation and many more before you don't know that. You want a quick way out of things, without doing much effort. Isn't that why you brought Mr Longbottom here with you? To help you get through the wards?"

"You knew I was there that day, didn't you?" she asked looking at him.

"OH, I sure did," Dumbledore said. "I knew something about you because I sensed you the moment you apparated at that location. I just wanted to see the tricks you had up your sleeve, how you planned on knowing the layout of that place and I wasn't disappointed. Using that owl to find out I would respond to any abnormalities was an ingenious plan, which is why I didn't get you then and there. I wanted to know how far you could go and you didn't disappoint. You brought me a divine beast."

Daphne smirked. "You think you know everything about us?" she said as she snapped her fingers behind the chair and her wand flew from Dumbledore's holster to her hand. Before Dumbledore could figure out what was happening she had freed herself and threw him off of his feet. Unfortunately she hasted with here spell and instead of firing a damaging spell on him she instead used a shockwave spell to push him away from her.

Daphne was an extremely skilled duelist all thanks to her father's training. Dumbledore wasn't expecting a girl that young to actually be that quick with her moves and spells as he had to conjure a shield to block here barrage of spells coming his way. After acquiring the elder wand he'd given up on his physical skills seeing he held the most powerful wand in the world. His spell casting was quick but he couldn't dodge them so he had to rely on his shields.

Daphne was all over the place firing spells at him from different spots and using quick-spaced apparitions to disappear and appear at different places inside the room. While she couldn't apparate outside of this place because Dumbledore had re-erected the wards she could so inside and this move came as a huge advantage for her.

She strategically fired a few spells towards Dumbledore whose shield deflected them away, one of which hit Neville. Unknown to the old wizard one of those spells was an enervate one and the same spell which hit the boy. Daphne fired a quick slashing hex at both Dumbledore and Neville. Dumbledore blocked the one coming his way – distracted from the other spell which cut the ropes tied around Neville just as he gained consciousness.

He almost fell on his face before steadying himself and standing up. He didn't have his wand but just as Dumbledore didn't know about Daphne's ability to cast wandless spells he didn't know that Neville could do so as well. A wave of his hand and his wand slipped from Dumbledore's holster, flying back in his hand as he began his own barrage of spells aimed at the old wizard.

Dumbledore didn't expect these third-year Hogwarts students to be this good, especially with wandless magic. One didn't achieve wandless skills just like that. it took years to master something like it but these kids did it like it was nothing. It made sense that Neville could do so because he was a host but into Daphne. Also, her dueling skills were far better than many veteran duelist champions. She could even be better than Flitwick, if not at par with him.

Neville tried hard to harness Griffin's power but the beast inside him just refused to help him. He knew Griffin wouldn't let him die, just like he didn't let his parents die but that also meant that Neville couldn't use Griffin's powers to help Daphne and because she wasn't related to him Griffin would choose to ignore her and only protect Neville's life.

The boy cursed under his breath before going all-out at the old wizard. Daphne knew what this meant as she let go of her aims at Dumbledore and ran for the crib of Ariana. Neville did well in terms of having Dumbledore's full attention because Daphne needed all the time she could to figure out how to wake up Ariana. Unfortunately she didn't know how to wake her up. First, she needed to power down those runes that were engraved on her crib because with them in place she couldn't get close to here.

So she started to look for their power source. Something that powerful couldn't be powering by themselves, she knew that. Also, they couldn't be drawing power from the wards because they were still in place wen Neville shattered the wards outside so there had to be a secondary power source. Desperate, an idea came to her mind.

"Temmie!" she called the Potter Manor house elf who apparated beside her the next moment.

"Lady Potter wants Temmie's help?" the elf squeaked.

"I need you to find how these runes are getting powered and if you can, disable them," Daphne said.

The elf nodded before getting to work, totally ignoring the duel going on behind her and Daphne and about ten seconds later she found it. It was a runic symbol drawing powers from the sun, a complicated magic but quite powerful if done right. But it was nothing that a house elf could not stop. House elves were heavily disregarded and for no real reasons. They could apparate in and out of an anti-apparition ward without an effort. They could disarm almost all powerful wards and runes and as Daphne realized it she wondered she could've instead brought Temmie with her rather than Neville but then again house elves weren't meant to be violent. It just wasn't in their nature. They could get worried, sad, happy…but never angry.

That meant that if Dumbledore had found her, which he definitely would considering he was waiting for her to come Daphne would have to face him while trying to wake up Ariana and then it clicked inside her mind as she looked at her house elf. "Temmie," she said as the elf looked at her, "can you wake her up?"

Temmie's ears moved back a little as she examined the female body with elf magic. "The magic is old," she said, "but Temmie can do it."

"Do it," Daphne said as the house elf got to work. Daphne turned around and saw Dumbledore was taking over the fight so she joined Neville from where she was standing and began firing spells at Dumbledore.

Now having to worry about two of them once again Dumbledore had had enough. He was being lenient with these kids for valid reasons. He didn't want to kill Neville because he was a host and he didn't want to kill Daphne because she could be leveraged for Harry but it seemed as if one of them had to be killed as they were getting quite annoying and Dumbledore chose the girl.

It was a very quick move coming from someone as old as Dumbledore. Despite being over a hundred years old and looking feeble and weak the man still had a few tricks up his sleeve as before Neville could understand what had happened a white spell hit Daphne square on her chest, taking her by surprise as she fell on the ground, bleeding through her nose, mouth, eyes and ears.

"Lady Potter?" Temmie looked at her with worried eyes and spoke softly. She stopped working on Ariana and walked over to her. Daphne's body jerked from time to time as she gurgled with her throat filled with blood. All she saw was red because of her bleeding eyes.

"And now it's you," Dumbledore said taking out Neville with a simple spell since he was also distracted with what had happened to Daphne. The boy's wand slipped from his hand and fell into Dumbledore's who snapped it the next moment before taking out Neville with a simple knock-out spell. "It pains me that I can't kill you too," Dumbledore said when something powerful hit him and he was thrown off of his feet.

He floated himself just in time before he could hit the wall with his face before turning around and his eyes widened with shock as he saw Ariana standing there with her hand raised towards him. Her eyes were looking at Daphne whom Temmie was desperately trying to wake. She then turned to look at Dumbledore before clutching her hand and Dumbledore felt his throat being squeezed as he began to gasp and cough from lack of air.

"We don't have time," a vice rang inside Ariana's head so she dropped her hand and turned towards Daphne. Dumbledore fell on the ground coughing and gasping loudly.

"You cannot help her," Ariana said to Temmie who looked up.

"Lad Potter needs help," Temmie squeaked. "Help Lady Potter."

Ariana waved her hand and Daphne's bleeding stopped. She then looked at her brother who was on his knees still recovering from the choke-attack from her. She said nothing as she simply did a swaying motion from her hand and he was thrown out of the house. "You have to do it," she said to her beast. "There's no other way."

"I hope there was," Scylla said.

Susan stood up, feeling chills as she finally finished going through Daphne's notes. She grabbed the communication mirror Augusta had given her. A moment later, Augusta's face emerged in the mirror. "Susan?" the old lady said.

"Come, quick!" Susan said before disconnecting the call. A minute or so later Augusta emerged from the fireplace of Potter manor into the living hall where Susan was already waiting for her.

"What happened?" she asked.

Susan showed her Daphne's notes. "Daphne's in danger!" she said. "I cannot tell you everything because we are already probably too late. Call the aurors and tell them to come to this place," she said showing her the location that was marked in Daphne's notes."

Augusta nodded, sending a patronus to the DMLE before apparating with Susan over to the location that she'd found in Daphne's notes. They appeared outside the wards of the place just as the wards fell down. As they headed for the house they saw Neville walk out with Daphne in his arms. She was unconscious.

Susan ran over to him while Augusta made sure there was no immediate danger as the aurors began to pop around the place.

"What happened?" Susan asked approaching Neville as she looked at Daphne. "Is she okay?"

"She will be," Neville said in a grim tone before he looked at his grandma. "Send the aurors to the north of the property. He's there."

Augusta didn't know what her grandson meant when an auror who'd already been in the spot called the others. Neville walked over to his grandma. "There's…There's a body in there. Please be careful with it. She saved our lives."

Augusta looked from her grandson towards the house. She didn't know what had happened when a group of aurors returned with Dumbledore in binds. He was unconscious. Augusta's eyes widened with shock. She quickly headed for the house with a group of aurors and found the body of a girl inside. a quick test said she was dead. Inside the house it looked as if a battle had taken place which would explain the wounds and cuts on Neville but she didn't understand how Daphne looked so fine physically.

She returned with the body floating behind her and received another shock when Neville told her whose body it was. She looked at the dead girl before looking at Dumbledore. She didn't know how Ariana had stayed so young but Dumbledore was somehow responsible for it and for what had happened here. She hugged her grandson before taking him, Daphne and Susan to the Longbottom Manor while leaving the aurors to clean the mess.
