Chapter 38: And A Starry Night Sky
"What the hell is happening?!" Flair cried out into the open before hearing a loud explosion behind herself.
Everyone piled to the middle as the fighting between Malefor and Spyro went to a whole different level. Nearly every second, an explosion of kicked up wind and hot flames would happen in another location, with the only way of knowing where the battle was taking place were the circle like shockwaves that discharged outwards. Flair stayed low to the ground along with Trish as they had never seen such destruction, and with how badly it seemed they were going at it, the two couldn't tell if this was just a simple spar or a full blown fight. Using the expressions from the others, Flair couldn't tell if what was happening was dangerous to those near or not. Some, like Cynder, Ersa, and Terrador seemed clam. But not only was Carith showing shivers, but so was Ignitus. Hearing what sounded like a crack, they all turned, but it was Ignitus who gave the warning, "Everyone-duck!"
They all did so. Just in the nick of time, the others saw a small glimpse of purple as the two flew right over their heads. Their bodies having flown past brought with a powerful gust of wind that stayed for a couple of seconds, almost forcing everyone to the ground. Luckily, the males were able to support their females, aside from Carith, Bolt, and Sesal as they were all alone. With the massive wave of wind dissipating, the others were able to ease up now. Flair was the first to check her surroundings, but with no feeling of cold to her paws, she looked down first. A loud gasp was let from her as she noticed the snow around her was completely gone. Her head shot up as she looked around the surrounding area, and sure enough, the snow had been completely evaporated from the area. Now the trees, grass, and surrounding wildlife could all be see to everyone in their own respective colors. No one was able to watch for too long as the sky lit up blue. All heads looked up to see a massive ball of blue fire being sent towards a small purple dot in the sky. That blue flame was consumed in a massive purple flame. The skeptical was a sight as the purple flame turned into the mouth of a dragon, biting down and consuming not only the flame, but the other purple dot as well. The dragon-like purple flame gave off a loud roar as it snapped its mouth close. The mouth bursted outwards, sending off a circle of purple flames to cover the sky in a destructive yet beautiful display. The others watched as one of the purple dragons, being Malefor, spun in the air and more above them as he flew. As they watched Spyro, his movements seemed much more fluid, as if he was winning. His body with every move made a snap. Showing off his moves, his body snapped upwards, downwards, left, right, up, down, and finally going fully speed to an almost undetectable and unseeable pattern. While most were able to follow his darkened trail, they would've never expected what he would've done next. Kicking off the air, his body appeared above Malefor before spinning around as fast as he could and elbowing Malefor to the top of his head. With a crack loud enough to be heard in the skies, Malefor's body was sent to the ground. Everyone jumped out of the way as he crashed deep into the earth's soil. Some coughed as dust had been kicked up from where he landed, but others, like Flair and Trish, were focused heavily to what happened to Malefor. As the dust settled, the condition of his body made both the girls and some others freeze. Blood dripped from all around his body, but the main focus was to the gash in his chest, over his left eye, and the holes within his wings. They weren't able to see his back as it was dug to the ground below, but what they had seen was enough. Worst of all, his dark powers seemed all but depleted as darkness showed, but in small puffs of smoke. This forced fear to attack Flair once again as she couldn't understand what had happened, They were only fighting for minutes?! How... How did this... How did this happen?!
"Malefor!" Carith cried, running up to her beaten and bruised lover.
Now Flair had no reason to trust things were going okay as Carith's cry seemed so scared, so afraid of what she was seeing. She wasn't able to watch for long, but with Carith holding Malefor's paw as though he were to die, it was enough to make Flair defensive. No... He... He wouldn't... over a joke...? Over... a... a... a couple of words?! The small crunch of what sounded like leaves broke her from her thoughts. She was quick to inspect Spyro's body, and it was a worry to her to see next to no damage aside from very small amounts of blood dripping from either his forehead, or his neck. His steps scorched the ground in what seemed like black embers, and unfortunately, with no one else doing anything, Flair had to step in, "H-h-hey...!" The panic within her voice completely gave away any sense of her staying strong, but she made sure to keep her fins sharpened, attempting a show of intimidation, "What the hell is wrong with you?! You could've killed him!"
"Hehe... And what are you going to do about it?" Spyro smiled to her, which was a complete turn over as now she had no power in this conversation at all.
With that being said, he continued his way to Malefor. Still keeping strong, Flair stood up against him when no one else would, "I'll kill you, you son of a bitch!" Running up and jumping in front of him, the others were surprised at how much she was protecting Malefor: almost as though she was protecting the family, "You stay the hell away from him and get control of yourself before I knock that pea sized brain back into place! I get you want him dead just as much as I do, but today is not that day!"
Spyro would've normally backed down against her from how she looked. The shivers she gave, the fear she truly had of him but still deciding to stand against him showed dedication. But with the adrenaline coursing through his veins, and the darkness pushing his desire to fight a good fight, he was still looking for a battle, "Even in Malefor's dark form, I need more satisfaction, and maybe you could give that to me. What do you say, Flair? I'd love to see your fighting spirit! To see just how dangerous you really could be," She didn't wish to fight, knowing full well it would be a losing battle, especially after what she had just seen, and without an answer, he was free to continue, "Either you're tagging in for Malefor, or you're backing out. Make your pick before I do."
"Spyro! Enough!" He wanted to play games, but she didn't, "Please. This day was turning out better then I could've ever imagined, and all I want to do now is end it off on a high note. Please don't do this."
"That wasn't an answer. You have two seconds now."
"Damn it, Spyro! Stop being a stupid piece of shit for one second and listen to me!"
"Hehe, oh how the tables will turn when it's you in the ground and not me. You have one second now-oh! Never mind," A wide, evil smile showed to his face as he started to approach her now, "Looks like your times up; both in a decision, and life related."
Her vision shot into slow motion as every step, she saw as her last, and with the closer and closer he got, nothing came to her mind as to what she should do. Why... why is no one else helping...?! Cyril... Cynder... someone! She was able to catch glimpses of the others, each showing different reactions. Cyril's showed a face of worry, Cynder showed a smirk, but not without some worry of her own, and the others all gave different reactions she either couldn't read or weren't useful. Trish stepped forward herself as she wished to stop what was happening. Terrador's wing blocked her from moving forward which she was quick to look to him in fear towards. The only comfort she had was a small smile from him: nothing else. Only steps away now, Flair was running out of options on what to do until something; similar to a lightbulb turning on, the memory came to her.
Chuckling as he was able to get back on track now, Spyro explained it for her, "Did you not notice how I was super aggressive to everyone... well... Ersa... and then Cynder walked over and shut that down in a second?"
"So you're telling me that Cynder's the key to keeping you from becoming a full blown monster?" She didn't like the sound of that, "And what if she dies then? Who's going to stop you?"
That was something Spyro never wished to think of, "I... don't... know..." Even though Flair did wish to push it, hearing the defeat and sadness in his voice made her back up in a way as she actually felt terrible for asking, "Anyone could become a monster if they're alone... if I didn't have Cynder... if I didn't have my family... I..."
"Spyro..." Surprising the others, she stopped him from thinking too deeply about this, "Listen... I get it, okay... I'll just remember your teachings, and now it helps me understand that much more how important Cynder is to you..."
Even as Spyro approached her, seeing a smirk go across her face made him stop near steps away from her. Faced to him, her victory was all but assured now, "You stupid son of a bitch. I hope you enjoy being single," Spyro raised a brow to her saying, but now with the word 'single' being used, he was able to gain some sense of consciousness, "Cynder!" He gasped as he looked over his shoulder, seeing Cynder shake her head as she walked over to the two, "Spyro's threatening my life!"
"Excuse me?" Cynder showed her teeth as she approached the two, and now, the tables had turned as sweat and shivers had taken over Spyro, "So, this is the man I fell in love with? Spyro, I've already told you plenty of times that Flair is a friend of mine; a best friend, and this is how you're going to treat her?" With a sigh, she damned him to give in, "Either leave your darkness now and fix your mistakes, or I'll leave you, and 'fix' a relationship with someone else."
Flair had never heard this voice before, but Cynder's threats caused Spyro to squeal in fear. Seconds were all that was needed for him to get his act together. His darkness healed his body, and as he made a mad dash to Malefor, a quick tap to his body covered his scales in darkness before disappearing; cleaning him of blood and wounds. Kicking off the ground; letting show back his normal colors in the process, and standing back in front of Flair once again, he played it off as though nothing had even happened, "Hehe, so that's when I was like, 'Damn. Cynder's got a nice ass'... Oh! Cynder! I didn't see you there!" She smirked to him, blushing even as she was glad to hear he was checking her out, but for Flair, she showed teeth, "Ahem. Sorry. Me and Flair were just discussing what we thought of our couple. Hehe, of course, Flair wants Cyril dead, whereas I want you... just you... that's pretty much it."
"Uh-huh?" It was a good cover story which she was willing to accept, but she needed confirmation from Flair, "Well, Flair. Is this what really happened, or do I need to start a search for someone new?"
Flair noticed how scared Spyro was every time Cynder said anything related to her leaving him. Rather keep this to herself, she wanted an answer to why, "You know, I hear a lot from you two, but you, Cynder, why do you seem so desperate to leave Spyro?" Once again, Flair was able to see the pure panic in his movements, noticing he feared her words, and Cynder saw it the same, "Usually you could joke about it, but when Spyro teases you, it's classic males looking for some female ass. But with you, your mind seems so dead set on leaving Spyro. So why not just do it already?" Now being the attacked, Spyro slowly backed away as he didn't wish to be see with what was being said of now, "You don't really love him, do you?"
Sighing to her words, it was actually a great point that she wished to thank her for talking about, "You know what, Flair... you make a great point."
"I do?"
"She does?" Spyro murmured, feeling his soul was now ready to leave his body.
"Honestly, after today, what was I thinking?" Spyro now didn't see this as a game, truly believing she was telling the truth, and it turned out, she was, "After Spyro's saved my life, taught me how to swim and kept me from drowning; how he showed me how to sled properly, and how he kept his promise to protect me if we fell off the board... maybe... we 'should' make a change in our relationship," No one knew where this was going aside from one thing coming to most minds as them becoming mates, and even as they looked to one another's eyes, Spyro had fear, but Cynder had hope, "I'm not gonna lie, Spyro. The day after we became lovers, and you teased me because you said you'd leave but in reality wouldn't... Hehe, I'm not gonna lie, that was rather scary, especially after the day we just had previously."
"Oh..." Rubbing his arm about what she had to say, Spyro felt horrible for doing that now, "I'm... sorry I did that..."
"We were both new to love, Spyro, and I..." Taking steps toward him, she blushed, "I've enjoyed our growth together... and from here on out, I wish to ban us ever even attempting a joke of each other leaving the other," Now stood in front of him, nearly nose to nose, the warm breaths of one another gave way to blushes, "I've actually been... rather enjoying this loving, teasing side of you... and I wonder if you feel the same... Or if there's something else you'd like to do...?"
"Oh..." This wasn't something he had expected from her at all, but he liked it, "Honestly... I... like you poisoning me... and the fake threats of your tail blade..." His honesty made her blush, but she smiled as she enjoyed the same, "I don't know if you like that or not though..."
"I have nothing wrong with you giving me power over you," Spyro chuckled to see how she was phrasing it, and both already seemed in agreement to this new way of teasing, "I... love you... Spyro... and I'd never leave you... The only time I ever would, is if I left this world... But I know you'd protect me," A smile showed to hear her understanding, "So now... let's change things up," Backing off only a step away from him, Cynder cleared her throat before making up another side to the story, "So, this is the man I fell in love with?" Having a hard swallow, Spyro wondered where she'd go with this next, "Fine then. No more poison fun or neck licking fun for you until you clean up your act," He gasped to hear her say, "If you behave, my body is yours. But if you're going to be a bad dragon, then you'll be punished like one."
"But... don't you like me being evil in bed?" He purred to her.
"I said bad, not evil."
"Oh! OOOOOOOH-KAY!" Malefor blurted out in anger, "So it's okay for Spyro to be evil to everyone, but when I'm evil to the guys, 'and yes-I'm specifically saying guys so I don't get my ass kicked', all y'all bitches be bitchen!" Crossing his arms as to pout, he knew there was only one way for himself to calm, "Carith, I request your lips, and if I don't get them, then I'll be requesting your tongue," She stood there, purposefully looking far into the distance as if she were ignoring him in a way, and he took notice to her, "Carith... your lips... I need their taste," She blushed, still not answering him, and this forced his paw as he stood up to look at her, "I wouldn't go against my needs, Carith. I'll embarrass you by forcing moans for everyone to hear if you don't obey me," Her lips quivered to hear his threats, but her body trembled, wishing to feel his threats in a way, "Hehe, well... couldn't say I didn't warn ya."
His wings wrapped to her back as he forced her down, both laughing with one another before locking wet lips. With paws to his head, Ignitus cried out as he just realised, "Oh no! The igloo!" Looking over to his son, he had to ask, "Spyro! Did you... did you destroy the perfectly well designed and made Igloo... That no one was even able to enter yet?!"
"Oooooooh... yeah... I... kinda used that to bash Malefor's head in so... it's... definitely gone."
"Nooooooooooooo!" Ignitus fell to his knees, crying for the loss.
"What's he crying for? We were the ones that made it," Terrador grumbled lowly.
"Maybe like me, he wanted to use it as a private place to mate," Trish giggled as she could understand why.
"Damn. You make a good point. If only that Igloo was still there, I totally would've taken you in there too."
"You know these teases are gonna keep building until I just force you. You know that, right?"
"Honestly, if it happens between me and you, it happens."
"I'm going to be taking advantage of your sleeping body tonight. Thanks, Terrador," Trish was rather happy with what he agreed to.
"And it's crazy for me to say out loud but... you're the only female I truly trust to sleep with alone."
"Damn you," She tried to hold back a tear, "Stop using that word! 'Alone'! You're never going to need to use it ever again, so stop thinking about it!"
"Hehe, okay, okay, I promise."
"It's okay, Ignitus... If you need to take me somewhere private, there's always the White Isles," Claire suggested as she still had never been there before, and she remembered what he had told her about which made her blush, "I remember you talked about a bed... maybe a flexed out mussel ability like what you used before on yourself... or you could just show yourself off... and I do mean... all... of you..." Even through his cries, he heard her mention that last part with so much lust that he had to face her, and she giggled to him, "I'm just saying. No one would hear or see if you did anything either so... just, letting that out there."
"It's times like these where I wish I could just read your thoughts or your past to figure out if what you're saying is true or not," Ignitus gave a low grumble, wishing to know if what she was saying was either a tease or a lie, "But then again, you wouldn't... leave me, if I did go through with what you're hinting at... would you...?" She raised a brow to him, smirking even, but not giving a solid answer, "No... No, you wouldn't... Or at least I hope you wouldn't. So for now, I'm going to retract any thought about me having to say the word mate."
"Whoa-woah-woah-woah-whoooohoho, hold up now," This got her to speak, "I mean, if you want to say that word to me to see how it goes then go right ahead. I have no problem with that at all!"
"Yeah, but... We already have Flair, and having you as someone evil as well would be a rather difficult duo to deal with."
"Just wet your body to keep me interested."
"Hey, love birds. Not to break up the moment but, the sun's going down," Malefor wanted to bring up to the two as the others had noticed as well.
With the sun's light easing itself away from the land, the moon now took over slowly, showing off darkness from all around and even to the sky. Unlike the normal darkness that's experienced at night when the moon shines, the clouds above had blocked most, if not all of the light that could've been shown, making the area and view to all that much more darker. The moon was still slightly visible through the clouds, showing off an almost invisible lunar halo. Because of the darkness that surrounded the area, Flair's feeling of unease and loss of comfort made her afraid, "Um... Guys... Can we please go now?"
"Oh, yeah," Because the vision for all was heavily reduced, Ignitus gave his usual command, "I can take us up to the top of the Guardians Building real quick: If you'd all be so kind as to close your eyes."
"What the hell are you talking about?" She didn't see, but the others all did as they were told, even later Celia doing the same after Blitz had a small talk with her, "I'd rather die then..."
Feeling something cold touch her paw, she jerked it back, but once getting a close view of what it was: it was Cyril's paw, "Don't worry, Flair. He's not going to hurt you," Her paw eased back to the ground, "He just has this ability that puts us at super speed basically and, in a way, can teleport us to a specific location," Even in the darkness, he noticed her confusion, "Hehe, yeah. Teleportation, sonic booms, controlling the weather: it's all just normal for us now. But the reason you should close your eyes is because the speed at which we go. Malefor once tried to keep his eyes open and completely fell to the ground, almost throwing up even."
Flair was still a little hesitant about it, "And... you're sure it's safe...? We won't get separated?" He nodded to her, smiling even, but just to make sure, even as her eyes closed, a firm grip was giving to Cyril's paw as she held onto him, "Okay... then... I trust you..."
He was happy to hear her say. Now that the remaining two had their eyes closed, Ignitus was ready to move. Flair's whole body clenched as she prepared for the worst, or at least the feeling of losing something close. In a instant, she felt a gust of wind, a new sense of pressure, and a different, more rough feeling to her paws. As she opened her eyes to see what had happened, a gasp dropped from her opened mouth. Now standing at the top of the building, she pieced what had happened together. The different feeling of pressure was because of how much higher she was from the ground. And the rough feeling to her paw was the roof of the Guardians Building. Everyone sat down with the one they were with down from an almost open row. While still close to the middle of the building's roof, the others were all in a similar patter as the way they sat in the Chambers. To the far left sat Malefor, Carith, Ignitus, Claire, Terrador, and Trish. To the middle sat Ersa, Volteer, Cyril, Flair, Cynder, and Spyro. To the right and at the end of the open ended line sat Blitz, Celia, Bolt, and Sesal. Because they were spread out, some sat closer to the edge of the roof while others sat further back, but each were able to get the view they wanted. However, even as good as things seemed, everyone noticed the clouds that had covered the sky still, blocking all view and any hope of the day ending off on a high note. Flair sighed to see this, but as she thought about the turn around, she didn't mind it, "Cyril... listen..." He faced her, "If we can't watch the meteor shower, that's... okay..." She snuggled up to his shoulder, "After how this day started, I didn't even expect to be here with you. But now that I am... now after what this day brought... maybe..." Nuzzling her head up the side of his neck, he purred to the feeling of her scales, "Maybe just being here with you is all I really want."
"Or..." Standing up from where he sat, Spyro walked over to the two, "I could work my magic just for you two," The two and some others looked to him, "I'll let this one be a freebie, but later down the line, I hope it wouldn't be too much to ask if you could put in a good word or two to Cynder if I help out," Flair remembered the conversation she had with Cyril about this, so she didn't feel a need to show her teeth to him, "All I need to know is, which color do you prefer: purple, blue, or red?"
It was a little confusing of a question, but as her head backed from Cyril, she looked her blue companion in the eyes. His smile already warmed her heart, and because of just this alone, on top of all that he had done for her, Flair admitted with a sigh, "Blue... I'd definitely prefer... and favor... the color blue..."
"Hehe. Alright then. Give me just a second."
Turning from the others, opening his wings, and flying to the sky, this confused everyone on what he was to do. It was hard to keep track as the dark night sky completely consumed any view that they had of him. For a couple of seconds, it went quiet. Those around all looked to the sky in wonder for what was to happen. Suddenly, the darkened sky lit up in a bright blue explosion. Everyone's eyes widened and shined with the blue flames that went across the sky. From the start point of where Spyro was, the flames he let out showed in a circle. The circle of blue flames pushed, burned, or removed any and all clouds that surrounded and blocked the view of the sky. But going more outwards, the flames expanded further and further, pushing away the clouds for miles, now letting show the starry night sky in all its glory. The light show while having ended with blue flames now started once again with the colors of the galaxy above them. With the clouds now gone; the moon and it's halo visible, and almost every star in the galaxy being right at the view of their eyes, gaps were heard from everyone as smiles were shown to the magnificent sight. As Spyro landed back down now with the others on the roof above, Cynder was the only one who really focused to him as everyone was enjoying their time with one another and the view. Spyro wasn't even able to utter a single word as his approach to Cynder made her move. A paw reached up to his chest, held him where he was, and in a surprise, his lips were covered by hers. Though small in time, the kiss was enough to gain the moans and pleasure of both. Her lips smacked as she backed from Spyro, and with a blush, she smiled, "That was very sweet of you to do, my love. Thank you."
"If you hadn't talked to me last night... I might've been a completely different person to her," Spyro wanted to be honest, "It's... all thanks to you that this happened. And by that, I mean... Flair's... happiness," A tear was shed to his helpful words, and he gave a chuckle afterwards as he knew he needed to own up to his mistake, "Hehe, and, after scaring Flair with my darkness, I don't want her on my bad side as I'm sure she'd kill me."
Visibility now showed to all, and with the reflection of the moon's light to Flair's face, Cynder noticed the tear to her eye as she looked to the sky. Her smile and tear wasn't the only one she could see, but just as Spyro had sat next to her left, at the corner of her eye, she noticed a light. Faced up to the sky now; one by one, she watched, and finally was able to experience her first ever meteor shower. Lights showed in all directions of the sky, lighting it from purple, to blue, to red, and even black, but no matter the color, the spectacle and show of all things beautiful combined was a sight of awe. Ooh's and Ah's were heard from just about everyone, and with thoughts in her mind about what she was seeing, Cynder had tears of her own to shed. I never... in my life... ever thought I would be alive to experience something like this... with a family... with friends... with... a lover... Her tears and thoughts gave way to her eyes needing, and begging now more then ever to look to Spyro. Watching him face the sky with such a confident smile on the future, the reflection in his eyes of the light-show, and such an eased body, her body nearly gave in from joy filled sadness. Spyro... I... I... His direction faced to her now as his smile was directed to her and her tears. Not wishing to keep what she wanted to say to her thoughts, she needed him to know as much as she possibly could, "Spyro... I... I love you... I love you so.. so much..."
He kept his smile to her, raising a paw even to wipe a tear from her face, "I love you too, Cynder."
To make things perfect for her, his claw groped down her cheek, to her chin, and with a grip, he gently pulled her forward to which she gave no fight against. A gentle kiss to her lips made even more tears form, and since her eyes had closed before his, she didn't see the tears he had to show for her as well. Others were able to give the same, loving kiss like Ignitus to Claire, Blitz to Celia, and Volteer to Ersa, each shedding tears of their own for those they had close to them. Trish knew she couldn't make a move on Terrador just yet, but with her head resting to his left shoulder, she didn't mind at all, "Hehe... Hey... my love..." He raised a brow to her which she didn't see, and since he didn't say anything back, she took a second take on what she had said, "Oh... sorry... I didn't..."
"Hehe, Trish, it's okay," Terrador gave a gentle voice, "What is it?"
"It's just... well... I never got to do this stuff with Ivan back in the day... And I'm... rather glad if that's weird to say," Because she felt at such peace, it made her remember back to the last time she felt this comfort, "Ivan never really had time to do something fun that I wanted to do: not like you all. I've always wanted to have a big group of friends go to the beach with me, or, watch the sun set, take on adventures, and just... live... you know? And in a way... I'm glad that I didn't because... Ivan would've been there to ruin something like this for me. You on the other paw, remind me of my parents."
"Hehe, I hope that's a good thing."
"It really is... My parents I have no bad memories of. The last time I watched the stars was with my parents, but never with Ivan. So, still, even to this day; these memories, this comfort, still stays true," Nuzzling to his scales once again, her eyes grew a little heavy as this sense of protection and ease made her feel protected, "And it's all thanks to you and this family that you've formed," She didn't notice his drops of tears, but she did notice his shiver, and knowing he was feeling her words to heart, she had to shed tears of her own, "I love you, Terrador, and I will do everything I can to prove, and to show that I do."
With a smack of her lips pulling away from his, Claire was able to pull away with a smile to her face, but for Ignitus, he seemed much more saddened in a way. He showed a smile but it quivered, like he was fighting back against saying something, and while tears did show, she could see many were still being held back, "Ignitus," Wiping a tear from his face, Claire wished to understand why he was bottling up something that was needing to be said, "What's wrong, my love? You seem... afraid, to say something."
"Hehe, damn... I... I knew... I... know... talking about this is... it's... it's gonna make these tears flow," Ignitus tried with all his might to keep himself together but kept stumbling as, while he tried to speak, every word he tried to utter would be met with a deep feeling of downing, "I just... I... goddamn this is a pain in the ass... Hehe..."
"Ignitus... talk to me..."
Hearing her have such worry over him, he knew he needed to suck it up and breathe, "I just... you never really know what someone goes through when you're not around... I mean, the time before I met the other Guardians, the time after, the war that I was left alone for which lasted for ten whole years of my life, and even after, the three years where me and the other four fought day in and day out, contemplating around every corner if living was even worth it..." Claire made sure her presence was known, from both a paw to hold his, and a tail to wrap around his own, "Hehe... I'm... I just... After about a year or two, we each looked to one another... days went by... weeks, months, years, and still... no sign of Spyro or Cynder, and with each passing day... we all looked to our tail blades... at least once... wondering if it was worth it or not..."
"The Ignitus I know would know better then contemplating suicide."
"You'd be right about that as... I was the main one, aside from Terrador, who really had to rally the troops. Cyril hated Volteer, Volteer couldn't take the fighting from both inside Warfang and out, and the only thing that really kept us together were my and Terrador's parents... though... I'd be lying if I said we didn't have major help from the citizens of Warfang... Hehe, I mean, after all, look at Blitz, Sesal, and Bolt. They were the ones who rallied the troops; who stood ready and protected the other three Guardians from death," While he was trying to turn things back around for himself, it turned against him as more painful thoughts just came by, "Even after the war ended, I was bombarded with another future problem to happen so soon that would cause the death of not only my son, but Cynder, and everyone on this planet, and it took us... our timeline to find the truth... but after hearing what happened to all those that failed... all those timelines where my fellow friends... my fellow Guardians are alone... dead... lost in time... I just... I can't stop... I can't stop thinking about it..."
"Ignitus..." With another paw to his right cheek, she wanted him to face her which he willing did, though his tears blurred his vision of her, "Why have you never talked about this before?"
"You don't think about death until you approach it... you don't think about the time you have left until something happens to you, or someone you love, and I just... When I look at our family... what we have... one event could change that forever and we'd never be able to recover... I know I'm the Chronicler; I know I should know all, and yet... even I fear... I cry... I... I..."
"Need to know when you're wrong," Claire smiled to him, and because she was so demanding in a way, he was able to stop for a second to give wide eyes, "Do you doubt my blood thirsty nature? I may be scared at some points, but at my core, I do love a fight or two. But remember, there's two sides to every battle. If the Dark Master were to join us, and he were to control the darkness, what could we possibly fear?" Ignitus had given it some thought, "You've trusted your son through the darkest of times, and just like you, he's strong. Trust him, and believe in him. After all, he is your son."
"Hehe... Does that... doesn't that scare you, Claire? Thinking that I mated with someone else," Ignitus chuckled, remembering back to her fears.
"Oh, hush, you," Claire giggled, "I wanted you to myself, alright. I thought you were already taken."
"Unfortunately, still haven't been taken. I do hope to get laid at some point."
"Oh, trust me. It will happen."
"You have someone in mind?" He wished to see where she'd take this.
"Oh just, someone who's rather excited to know she'll be your first and only," Claire somewhat took the bait.
"You know what, I think I know who you're talking about. Though I can't read her memories so I wouldn't know for sure," Ignitus showed a smile and a blush to which she showed one back.
With a small sigh letting go from his mouth, Malefor wished to stay calm and easy as Carith rested her head to his shoulder: eyes closed and enjoying the moment of peace and silence. Because he was all to himself, he had plenty of time to think on what was next in the chapter for his life, I don't want to lose this... I don't want these times to be lost forever because of some kind of accident or attack. Thinking about what he could possibly do to help out, something came to mind to which he heavily disagreed with. I don't even want to think about doing such a thing but... If I did... Carith would be safe... everyone and the world would be safe... and maybe because of this... I could finally, easily, and safely consider Carith my loving, and beautiful mate. Just the same as his first, the sigh he gave off was low and easy, trying to hide his somewhat discomfort for what he was about to do. I need... to just... breathe... and understand what this could mean rather then what it is. Just do what Spyro has done. Darkness showed to his body, attempting to keep his breath low and controlled. Hey... Da... Dark... Master... can you hear me...? He wasn't surprised that there was no response. Listen, I... I want to talk to you... I want... to... get to know you, I guess... Spyro says you live and breathe and what not, and ever since he talked about you having a heart, I realized that you did... and it's located under my heart isn't it...? His darkness grew a little tense around his body which he didn't feel great about. I'm not going to do anything! I just wanted you to know that... I see you... and I wish to... understand you... The Dark Master kept quiet, and because of the shift in his darkness from before, Malefor knew he could hear him. I don't know what the purple dragon did to you back in the day, but just like Spyro, I'm not like him. I just... I just want to have my life with Carith... No more wars... no more loss... no more death... I know you like fighting so, I will still promise to get stronger so you'll have something to keep you busy. But hey, maybe later down the line, since you're the same as our kind, just slightly different, what do you say we get you a female? Huh? I'm sure you'd love to get your lips wet... Trying to make things better, he only made things weirder. On second thought, let me not talk about you getting laid or something like that as it's... rather creepy for me to say to you. Hehe, but then again, you have to admit; you, and a female?! Malefor chuckled to himself out loud; however now, the Dark Master gave his response. Tensing the darkness against Malefor once again, he could feel the darkness tickling at control over his body but not actually going through with it. This caused sweat as he was afraid a forced attack was imminent, but the Dark Master in a way eased his fears without even knowing it, "Stop, talking, to me, before this roof goes from dark blue to dark red in your lover's blood."
Gaining control back over his body and understand the threat, Malefor gave a huge sigh to see he didn't try anything, though he knew plenty of reasons why. I just want to say this last thing, that's all. With Spyro being around, he knew he'd be able to speak a little more freely then normal with the added protection if something were to happen. No movement happened within his darkness so Malefor took his chances. Thank you for not hurting Carith in the Chambers. I know I was fighting for control but you had a rather nice grip. It just makes me wish and understand Spyro more that you really could be... an ally. His darkness was quick to tense and cause a sharp pain all throughout. Never-mind-never-mind-never-mind! The darkness now eased back down, helping him breathe now as the tight pain almost knocked the wind out of him. Yeah, you're probably right... maybe I'm just so tired and eased right now that I'm just lying to myself at this point. Giving up for now on the talk, Malefor focused back to the stars.
How did I end up here, mom? Flair took a sigh for where she was now; what she was experiencing not only with others around her, but friends, family, and loved ones. It's crazy to believe that I'm even where I am now, and not because of what has happened through the year, but... just what's happened today. The whole thing with Cyril, Dad, my supposed mate: Argus, and even the Dark Master. So much has happened today alone, and yet, here I am. Taking a look to her left, she gave a surprised look to see Cyril had laid his head to his paws below, eyes closed and resting with a smile. What surprised her was the ease at which he laid, even with his wing being to her back and tail wrapped to hers. Does he not remember what happened earlier on in the day?! What if I stabbed him again, what if I had a nightmare, what if... what if... Giving a sigh, some memories helped her understand why he was still continuing to cuddle to her. I've said it once before, and I'll probably say it for the rest of my life but... damn this dragon. With the meteor shower concluding to those who were still watching and hadn't fallen asleep yet, a voice spoke to the minds of all those who weren't asleep yet. "Hey, everyone. This is a clone of Ignitus speaking to you all as to not wake anyone. I hope it's okay that I send everyone to their rooms for the night, and for the Guardians, I hope you all will join me, or, Ignitus, in the sleeping Chambers as talked about yesterday." All understood, including The Friends as they had obeyed the same: closing their eyes and awaiting the send off. Still not use to the whole teleportation thing, Flair made sure to grab a hold of Cyril's paw as she once did before. Clinging to him like some child. Even with the sigh, it wasn't from aggravation, but rather sadness. Closing her eyes now, it only took a second before she felt a massive amount of wind. The change was sudden as her body now rested to her bed within her room; Cyril still laying to her left side, however, their bodies flipped in a way, both facing at the door and not the back wall of the room. Opening her eyes up slowly but surely, her first instinct was to check her surroundings. A quick look around the room, and even to her left to make sure Cyril was still there helped her take a breath, I really wish I knew everyone was safe from that... teleportation, as well. But, before we do go to the Chambers to check on the others... Wishing to end this day off by tying up loose ends, a paw to Cyril's side and a small, gentle shake, she wished to wake him. I need to say this to him. Her movements to his side with her paw was already starting to wake him, though her voice helped him much more, "Cyril... I need to talk to you..."
His grumble scared her, but still seeing his smile helped her calm down, and he did follow up with his voice, "Uuuuuuuugh... You need to, 'talk' to me? Hehe, is this talk going to have to do with you asking for my blood?" Even as he woke from his slumber, Cyril was happy to be woken by her, eyes opened now as he faced to see her blush, "Hehe, waking up from your voice is always so relaxing. I mean, I've only really had it happen a couple of times; today, the girls day, and the day before the whole poisoning thing but, damn does it feel great."
"How are you use to waking up? In fear over me, or..."
"Well, fears, yes, but not over you. Hehe, honestly, me and the Guardians almost never got any sleep because of how loud we all would snore. I was scared to 'DEATH' when we were sleeping together because, while I do believe I had helped even a little our first day we slept together, I knew, if you heard me snoring, I either would've had a blade shoved down my throat or even up my nose," Cyril gave a funny chuckle as where he saw it as nothing more then simple fun, Flair unfortunately could see her doing something like that, "But, ever since me and the Guardians have found others, it seems no one has had to suffer the snores of beasts. Trish hasn't said anything, Claire use to, Ersa sure hasn't, and since I'm not dead, I'm guessing I haven't snored yet?"
"If you were as loud as you said you four were... yeah... you'd definitely know at this point."
"Hehe, thank Ancestors," Because he remembered back to what she said, he wondered now, "So, what's up? You said you needed to talk to me? Or, was that the talk?"
"No... I..." Having him awake now, she didn't know if talking about it was such a good thing, so she needed to make sure she had the power here, "Listen..." She backed from his body as she stood, and while he tried to stand the same, she didn't allow it, "Don't stand!" He was quick to lay back down to the bed, "I need... I need this feeling of power... okay...? I trust you, but... I need to talk to you about... what's happened today..." He was confused as to why she wanted to stand for this where he was to lay, but she answered that without him asking, "I'm afraid you're going to stand over me and yell at me for today, I'm afraid you'll attack me for what I said to you... what I... did to you... So just... please... stay where you are..."
"Why tell me this when I could take advantage of the fact that you're afraid? Similar to how you think Spyro would act?" He noticed her obvious fear filled shiver and the cause of fear she showed in her eyes now, but what surprised him the most was the tightening of her tail that still wrapped to his, "Flair, it's okay... You were right, and so were the others. I acted not only out of care for your safety, but... jealousy as well. I know why you went to him... I know why, even after he betrayed you, and left you for dead... I know why you still went back to him..."
"No you don't," She growled, though from a show of tears from Cyril, Flair gave wide eyes.
"You remember my mate, right? Well... I kinda... went back to her at a point as I... I wanted her back so... so badly... even after what she had done to me. Her name was... Freya... and she... was also a fire dragoness... I was put in a rather difficult decision, one of which she put me in, whereas you haven't. As you said: A Sophie's Choice," Sitting down rather than standing, Flair was now all ears, wishing to hear out what he was put through, "'It's either me or the Guardians', she said. It was either I left my brothers, or I left her, and it wasn't one or the other. I was close to choosing her as..."
"You honestly thought about going back to her?!" Flair already showed teeth, "She cheated on you! You were really going to go back to some kind of... used bitch?!"
"I still loved her... Flair... just as you still loved Argus..." She had nothing to say as it was true, "It was a scary time for me as, back and forth I went with the Guardians and Freya; never knowing who I'd choose to be with, and yet, it wasn't them that gave me a choice. Freya always pushed the whole, me or them thing, whereas the Guardians simply told me to follow what my heart said, and that no matter what, I would still be their brother in arms. Even someone who hated me, or at least who I believed despised, like Volteer, actually cared for me to do the right thing. At the end of the day, I ended up choosing... to be... with Freya."
"What?!" She couldn't believe he had chosen her, "So you're going to take care of a child not your own?! You're going to continue living with someone who's already had sex and chose another man over you?!"
"The Hatchling was a miscarriage..." A powerful shiver enough to shake the bed was released from Flair to hear, "When the Hatchling was... born... the egg was already cracked, and while she tried desperately to save it as quickly as she could, it was dead on arrival. Her supposed mate left her and now her parents shunned her for not taking better care of the Hatchling. She needed someone, and every step of the way, I looked past what had happened as I wished to help her."
"Just like... with me..." It was unfortunate for her to make that connection.
Cyril didn't comment on her connection, "After having comforted her, we spend some time together: about a week or so. I saw the Guardians making some walks to check on the citizens, and when I tried to say 'hi' with a smile, she blocked me, telling me to remember what was agreed upon. I already felt a little... uneasy... but I tried to ignore it and move on from my time with the Guardians. Two more days went by and I found myself back on a bed with her to her back. She was ready to commit, and... so was I..." For some reason, Cyril stopped which Flair couldn't understand, but what scared her more was his voice that sunk deep as he faced away from her, "Are you sure you want to hear the rest of this story, or should we just move on to something else?"
Why is he acting like I'll be afraid for the ending? Was it... really that bad...? She let off a gasp, Or does he already have a son or daughter roaming Warfang already?! It was an unfortunate thought to think about; now only adding to fears of what could've possibly happened, and to her hearts dismay, she took the bait of the story, "I want to hear the story. If you're here, and nothing has really seemed to have changed, I'm assuming nothing bad happened... right...?"
A turn of his head made her brows raise, but he didn't face her, "She started teasing me, but not in a good way. She started going on and on about how I should admit that being with her is way better then being with those filthy Guardians. I grew a little... aggressive. Told her that wasn't true, but once again, she put me in a lose-lose situation. Either I dug my brothers names through the dirt, or I made her believe she wasn't good enough or even better then the Guardians. She started going crazy, saying, 'admit it', 'say it', 'you love me, don't you'?! YOU'LL DO ANYTHING FOR ME, RIGHT?!" His voice suddenly raised rather high, and while she did take steps back, she made sure to inspect the tears and clenched paws he had, "I couldn't... I couldn't give her the answer... and so... she slapped me... Once we were off the bed, she held me by the neck and slapped me across the face again, demanding that I give her an answer," Flair listened in horror for what he had to endure, "As she choked me while I begged; telling her I could feel blood in my eyes, she told me all my problems would go away if I just admitted I was better then those worthless... useless... heartless, and soulless animals I called my brothers. I... snapped... and that... was the first time I ever... hurt... a female..." Not giving a response as it did make her perception of him worse, with the story she had, all that was given was a hard swallow as she noticed he had looked to his claws, "I clawed the side of her neck, and while she was bleeding; begging for my help now, I... I ran... I ran as fast as I could, and once back with the Guardians... I ran... into Ignitus's arms, and the wings of my brothers as they comforted me for everything that had happened."
Afraid to even speak on the matter now as she feared him more for some reason, her voice still showed, "And what happened to Freya...?"
"Don't know... I lived in fear of her return for months. I stayed as close to my brothers as I could out of fear she'd show. I had nightmares day in and day out that destroyed any sleep schedule I could've ever had. Luckily, I did meet Malefor the second time around in my relationship with Freya. Malefor joined the family a while ago, so I had him as well to help, and I definitely consider him my brother... I had the help of my parents, Ignitus's, Terrador's, and Volteer's, and for a couple of days... we had a rather large family group," The chuckle he gave seemed rather forced as he was trying to keep a smile to help her, but it failed miserably, "And yet... I still... I still love her..."
"Cyril!" Being such a surprise to hear, she didn't understand his line of reasoning at all, "You can't be serious!"
"She wasn't always like that, Flair. For the time that I knew her before during our year spent together, of course there were usual upsets here and there, but... how would you react to losing your Hatchling? Your parents, your mate... she lost everything... and I feel like, if I had done something else... if I would've been better... calmer... maybe I could've helped her... but... it's just someone else I failed... hehe... right... Add it to the list... I guess," Flair was now almost fully flustered to hear he still downed himself for what she had done to him, but because she had somewhat done the same, she didn't know if she had room to talk, "I didn't want to tell you that because... I know you'll fear me for it... to think someone who's supposed to be so innocent suddenly attacks... it's like putting your trust into your parents, but they suddenly start attacking you even when they showed they could be trusted by assuring you... comforting you... and being there for you in times of need."
"And since you obviously have feeling for some other BITCH! I guess you don't need me then!" Yanking her tail from his rather forcefully, rather then push his side to roll him, she grabbed him by the right arm, and being as forceful as possibly, she jumped over top his laying figure and pulled his arm to his back to roll him, "Suddenly attacked, huh?! You talking about me?!" With him rolled to his back, she pulled his arm up while using her other paw to cover his neck: supporting herself up with her wings and giving some force to his neck to cause a small deal of pain, "Does this seem fun to you?! I get that she's like me, I get she's a fire dragon: had a terrible past, had her parents betray her and her mate left her, but you need to understand there's points where someone can't be saved!" He only coughed some, not even bothering to fight back, "She nearly killed you, and if you hadn't done something, she might have! You tried and tried and tried to calm her down JUST LIKE WITH ME! In only half a week, your love and care put me back in a position of a new life. The week you were with her, she was still on the offensive, constantly abusing you and trying to control your life and you didn't see that?!"
"Every step of the way, there was always something going on that needed to be dealt with," Cyril struggled at first to speak, and being generous, she eased up as she saw tears, "The construction of Warfang, the constant battling between the other Guardians, Volteer, the apes, dragons on the streets, secondary elemental dragons; it was all just... too much... and being in my twenties, I was desperately looking for a females touch, something to help me more then words, something like..."
"Sex?!"
"A simple... I love you..." He was honest, and she growled to this, knowing he wasn't lying when he said it, "I wanted a female to cuddle with, to kiss me on the forehead as I did the same to her, promising everything would be okay, I just... I look at all the other Guardians now to see how happy they are with someone they love, and that... that was the life I knew I could've had back then... what I wanted... so desperately to have... back then..." Because of such a weak side to him, this helped Flair feel much more calm in understanding just how Cyril operated in a sense, "Even to this day, I just don't... I don't understand what I'm doing wrong... I don't... Flair..."
"Damn it, Cyril, SHUT UP!" At this point, he didn't know what was happening, but for his mind and body, it didn't care either as he simply laid to his back like an empty crying shell, "Look at what you have," As her paw backed from his neck and his arm was released, he gave wide eyes now as she sat to his stomach and opened her wings to show off all of her body, "I'm right here! I literally confessed that we would have a future together, that I like you, that I care about you, and disregarding our relationship was stupid of me!" Resting her paws to his chest now, his blush grew to see her being so gentle to him, "I want what you want... to feel loved, to feel cared about, and I don't want that to be fake. The mornings we've woken up together, aside from today, have been immediate highlights of my day. Even with how awful the morning turned out, you turned it around in a way that I just... I appreciate you so much for..." Now his heart started to kick back into gear to hear such support from her, "You're who I want... you're what I want... she nearly killed you, and then you attacked, but for me, you ran... I don't ever see you hurting me, and I'm glad you clawed that stupid bitch! She's deserving of a spot next to the devil, not an angel such as yourself..." While he was already having the time of his life hearing her support, she ended it off in the best way she could've ever thought possible, "And plus..." Flair gave a mad hard blush as she slightly faced away from him, "You want your first time to be perfect, don't you? Me and Argus never did it, so I'd be brand-new and just for you..."
Flair's entire body burned as she couldn't believe she had just said this, and from the heat trailing all throughout her body, it was almost too much for her to handle. Wanting to go back on what she had said now, suddenly, to both her sides, wings draped over her before being pulled downwards. Laying to his chest now, Flair gave wide eyes to feel his saddened yet thankful hug. His body shivered with tears raining from his eyes, and even using his arms, he wrapped them to the back of her neck to embrace her. She was surprised by such passion, and definitely love within the hug he had given, and while she already had tears of her own to shed as she cried over his shoulder, his cry made it much more tear jerking, "Flair, I... I... Thank you... thank you..." He didn't try to fight his flow of tears, letting show his cries before holding her close and crying lowly, "Thank you..."
Flair didn't bother to say anything of her own as she knew nothing needed to be said. Her body, her mind, and soul all had one idea; and everything agreed to focus on the help and support of Cyril, I know he's the dragon of choice... Mom... I... I know he'll protect me... I know... he'll be the lover Argus never could've been. Snuggling up to him as his wings cooled her, her eyes, along with his, dawned white and blue colored tears, crying happily, together.
"Excited-excited-excited!" Trish happily clapped as she jumped up and down on the bed in the room next to Ersa and Volteer's, "Today's the day!" Terrador laid off to the left on the bed and watched with a smile to see her excitement, both in movement and words, "Ooooooooh, I can't believe this is going to happen-why isn't it happening-oh my gosh-Terrador did I do something wrong-it's my scales isn't it-they don't look tasty do they-I DON'T LOOK TASTY-Oh my sweat berry merry, Terrador, did I hurt you?! I'm so sorry, I didn't...!"
"Easy girl, easy... hehe... Just... waiting for you to lay to your back is all," Terrador gave a chuckle.
"Oh! Right!"
Doing exactly as she was told to do, Trish, was quick to jump up, spin around, and lay straight down to her back. Her tail waged in excitement, her giggles were heard by him which forced a blush, and seeing her body wiggle made him sweat a little. Now standing up to see her, Terrador took a sigh, trying to breathe before continuing with what he was about to do, "Trish..." Hearing some fear in his voice, she tried her best to calm herself in case he needed help, "No... No, I... I trust you... I trust you... I just..." She was ready to speak to help him, but as his lips went, so did his lust, "Just inspecting my property is all," Her body gave a heavy flutter, and she couldn't help herself but to purr in anticipation as he walked up and over her, "You do realize you'll wake up in the Sleeping Chambers in like two seconds once I'm done with you."
"Ooooooh, you'll be waking up a sticky mess when I'm done with you," Terrador showed wide eyes to her lust, and she apologized, "Sorry sorry sorry, it's just... you're so big and muscular and... big... and it makes me... excited... for..." Her eyes adjusted down from his neck, to his chest, and then his hind legs, but she was quick to look back up and correct herself, "Sticky mess from our sweat! I'm excited for our bodies to-AH!"
Finally to ease such hormonal excitement within in, Terrador finally did as he promised he would and bit down onto Trish's neck. At first, he was afraid from the gasp she let out. The bite sent her body and neck upwards in a way like it gave itself to him. The guilt left him though, feeling her body slowed back to the bed in ease which his mouth followed along to. With her gently being placed to the bed, freedom was now shown as Terrador continued with his job, and Trish's enjoyment. Getting a feel for her scales first, his tongue licked around her neck before pressure was placed by his teeth. Testing her in a way, making her sweat more from excitement, he gave small bites to get a feel for every angle and scale on her neck. Thinking about his body while understand and even feeling how easy he was being with her sent her toes and fingers into a curl as she begged for more. Giving a lick back and forth from the middle of her neck, Terrador's saliva dripped all onto her neck, only making her moan more and more from everything that he was doing, and for what she was thinking about. Feeling his teeth ease from her neck as if he was backing from her, Trish couldn't do it anymore, I need more~! As Terrador rasied his maw to inspect what he had done, aside from the noticeable saliva trial he made, he noticed the small bite marks to her neck. Trying to catch his breath even for a little, he was suddenly tossed to his side as something pushed him over. While afraid of hitting the floor, he was saved and pushed to the bed and onto his back now. Before he could even get his surroundings, Terrador asked out, "What the-Mhmm!"
Not able to speak for long, his lips were suddenly covered by someone else's. Giving wide eyes to who it was, Trish had taken control over the situation now and took it upon herself to lock lips with his own as she stood above him. While her eyes stayed closed, wrestling around with his lips and trying to seduce him in a way, it was slightly working as he could feel himself giving into her powerful lust. Kissing her back, his body, same as hers, showed a shiver filled with pleasure, and a moan that escaped from the mouths of both. Even as good as the kiss was, Terrador was strong enough to fight back. Unfortunately, because her desperate need to please Terrador was there, he needed to be a little more forceful to get her off. Using both his paws, a good firm push to her chest helped shove her off. As her body backed, he was quick to get back to his paws and stand some feet away from her. Both had increases in breath, but for Trish, it also included an increase in tears, looking to Terrador in fear for what she had done. Now understanding and coming down off of such a lust filled moment, she cried, "I'm... I'm so sorry...!"
She was quick to turn as everything told her to run for what she had done, but Terrador tried to stop her, "No! Trish, please, wait!"
To his luck, she did stop rather close to the door, and a very small smile showed to his face as he understood why. Quickly jumping off the bed himself, he ran over to her in hopes he'd be able to help her. He listened to her tears and cries, and as he stood in front of her, blocking the door now, Trish cried for forgiveness, "Terrador, I'm... I'm sorry, I just... I..."
"Did I hurt you?" He needed to know after he remembered the push being rather severe, or at least from what he believed.
"Wh... what?"
"I... pushed you rather hard... did I not?"
"No... No... you didn't hurt me... but I... I know I hurt you..." Trish blamed herself for any pain that was caused, "You've told me countless times you're afraid; the scares of the past you're still healing from, the love you wish to have with a female whom you trust not to betray you, and yet...! I... I couldn't control myself... I just... I couldn't do it any longer..." Sitting down now to close her eyes and cry down to the floor, the night she knew would turn into a nightmare was coming true, "Because of all that I've heard from you... your joyful nature, your caring and loving attitude, I just... I wanted... I wanted so desperately to wash that pain away so you'd have nothing to fear ever again... but now... now that I... took... advantage of you... you hate me too... don't you?" Terrador frowned as he watched her tears shed, and he knew at this point, he needed to come to terms with his fears, "I'm sorry... I... I just... wanted to show you... you're truly loved... and that love... is from me to you..."
Biting his lip as he shed a tear of his own, his body shuck some, but he knew what he had decided was the right thing to do. A sigh was needed to help himself as he gave out her name, "Trish..." To help raise her spirit's, and head, with a claw to her chin, he gave some force, enough so that she raised her head on her own, and to truly experience and see his lips and words flow, Trish's eyes now opened to look at him in a show of tears, "You've been nothing but a help throughout the time you've been with me. You've helped me conquer fears and memories I tried to become stale to, but it in return made my emotions the same as well. You... saved me... from becoming something close to a soulless shell of my former self. And for all you've done..." Even from her blurred vision from the tears she had shed, Trish noticed, compared to all the words he had spoken, his last couple of words, she could feel to her lips in his breath, "I've never been able to truly show how much I thank you."
Covering his lips over hers, where his eyes closed, her eyes opened rather wide. The pleasure from feeling him move his lips around hers helped ease her eyes closed. Able to enjoy the kiss himself now, Terrador couldn't hold back his groan as the feeling of having her lips move with his helped bring a smile to his face. She could feel his smile from the way his lips moved, so even for her, a smile showed. Smack after smack, Trish could feel he was rather enjoying the kiss they were having with one another which gave her hope on the days to come, He... really does... love me... This thought, on top of his juicy lips forced a moan from her as now the day had turned back around, so much more then what she could've ever thought possible. To end the kiss, Terrador made sure to be easy; gently taking his lips back and sliding them off of hers, but not without a sudden kiss back to her lips as she gave the same. One final smack was heard as his lips backed, and just the same as her, the two wished to see each other's eyes as theirs opened. Even as the kiss was done, there wasn't any scare or doubt in the words he had to say, "I definitely wouldn't be opposed to us becoming lovers right now as that kiss...that helped me really feel alive again... not that you being with me hasn't, it's just... I've forgotten, and I guess you could say, never experienced what it was like to have someone that loves you, kiss you..."
"Hehe, same," Trish giggled, and her innocence made him chuckle, "I don't want to push us becoming lovers, though... I... hope it wouldn't be too much to ask if we could... continue this..."
"Kissing? Absolutely."
"Yes! Wait," As his claw ducked back to the ground, her claw went up and was placed to his chest, "So you won't love me, but you'll kiss me? So then, you'll mate with me, but not be my mate? Which means you're using me, aren't you?"
"What?! No no no, of course not! It's just... being honest... your love will really help... seduce me, I guess you could say, into loving you."
"Oooooooooh! I like the way you phrase it. In that case, I have no problem with this semi-lover thing we got going on."
"I hope it doesn't stay that way for long though..." Now that he was being outspoken about how he was really feeling on the situation, Terrador didn't mind holding back how he really felt, "It's been... tough... seeing everyone around me getting along with a female; having someone under their wing to talk to and kiss, I've felt... left out... Even for Cyril, Flair still stayed under his wing from time to time, so he had someone, and it felt like I was to just... die alone when you didn't show up the day after the attack on Warfang..." She sighed, but smiled, and before she could call him out for it, he was quick to correct, "I used the word and I shouldn't have! Sorry, Trish... I think back to when it was just me and the Guardians and all we did was cry, hope, and fear for the future. We wanted someone to love us, and in a way, we felt like outcasts."
"And how could no one love someone like you all?"
"Mainly because we wouldn't have the time to be with someone we loved, and also because the Guardians before us forbid love as it would take away from training or the necessities of building up a better and brighter future. As much as we wished to find someone to love, we... detached ourselves from our feelings of pleasure in a way. Now it was just us four, fighting back and forth, frustrated and annoyed that we weren't able to really have an outlook on a future."
"Would you say things have gotten a lot better since you all found females?"
"Hehe, oh absolutely," Terrador chuckled as he remembered clearly how awful the past was for them, "Malefor was a rather huge help in keeping us from killing the other. You may not believe me, but... we've all cried under the wing of the other at some point. We grew from acquaintances, to enemies, to friends, and finally brothers. You saw how Malefor was handling Cyril when he was down after Flair dumped him: that's how he's always acted when he wanted to help us."
"How did you all survive the past?" Trish was amazed to hear how terrible the past truly was to them, "I thought you all would've had it rather well all things considered."
"I wish... ever since we lost Malefor, there was no smiles... only frowns... Even with Cynder's return now that the Terror Of The Skies was dealt with, we all feared her and tried our best to avoid her. For me... I haven't smiled in many, many years... until I met you of course. I mean... I didn't help that, after Spyro and Cynder fought the Dark Master, we thought they had died, along with our friends, and even Ignitus. So now it was just me, Cyril, and Volteer. Those two were still at each other's throats, so now I felt... alone... and I knew at any point, our family could split."
"Hey! Chin up!" Not wishing to hear this sadness any longer as she had just dried her tears, a step up in her voice was needed, and it surprised him, "That's all behind you now. You've looked back long enough to understand that, the only thing you should be doing now, is to look forward. Everyone is where they need to be; where they want to be, and now with me, I all but assured your future as well," His frown was quick to turn to a smile, "I love you, Terrador, and for all the years you've closed yourself from your desires, I shall make it all up to you. So, don't be surprised if I just start taking some kisses from you since... since..." A heavy happy shiver showed to her, "We're basically lovers now, which means..."
Letting off a gasp from her lips, Terrador had moved while she was speaking and suddenly hugged her from out of nowhere. Feeling his wings wrap to her back, and his head as it went to the back of her neck from over her shoulder, she felt him tighten his grip as wet, cool feeling drops of water went to her back. Trish wished to smile for this, but instead, her lips showed a frown, They all really haven't had it easy... To think they're even still alive is a true miracle... which means, for us, for me... I need to step up and truly make his life everything he deserves for what he had to endure. I hope the other girls see this as well... especially Flair. Help was needed to him, so, with a paw to his back to rub, and head over his shoulder the same, Trish gave a smile as she whispered, "Are you crying because you know life is only going to look up for you from here on out, or because you're scared how dry your lips are going to get now that we can kiss?" Her words made him chuckle, and she did the same, "Hehe... don't worry, Terrador... I promise... I will do everything within and beyond my power to make up for the past you had."
"Thank you... Trish..." Terrador murmured, "Thank you... so much..."
"I mean like, it was one of the funniest things I've ever heard in my life!" Cyril laughed happily as he stood in the hallway in front of Flair's door, waiting for her to leave the room the same, "Our Training Room inside the Temple made for some crazy battles! So, because Malefor was thinking he was tough shit, he decided to fight an Ignitus clone while the real one was out helping the other Guardians, so that just left me, Malefor, Terrador, and Volteer," Now that she was out of the room, her paw pulled the door towards her, and with a click to signify it shut, Flair faced forward with Cyril and headed to the Chambers, "Once the clone showed up, Malefor was so confident in his abilities that he looked to us, joked, and then got his head bashed in as the Ignitus clone clocked him in the face. All we heard was, 'Ass', and then he hit the ground like a ton of bricks."
"Please tell me he died," Flair wished, "Even though he's still alive now so, there goes that hope."
"Haha! Which was hysterical because, he stood up, looked to the clone, said he hit like a bitch, and then IMMEDIATELY hit the ground again as the clone swung his fist up and right into his gut! As Malefor is on the ground crying in pain, Ignitus shows back up and sees Malefor begging for someone to help him up. So, Ignitus walks over to him, helps him up, and when Malefor thanked, Ignitus simply said, 'Ladies usually need help from a strong man'!"
"Ah. So Malefor calls others bitches because in reality, he's the true one."
"He's been attacked by literally everyone, aside from Trish. Cynder bitch slapped him, you've choked him, Spyro's tried to kill him, and list goes on and on," Even as happy as he felt, thinking about those memories also made him think on the more dreadful ones, "I just... can't believe we made it through those times... I think about what we have now, and I just have to ask myself... 'how'? I can't believe we never gave up even when we lost everything..."
"Cyril," Wrapping her tail to his, she stopped these thoughts immediately, "Remember what we talked about," Stood at the entrance of the Chambers now, the two made sure to make eye contact, "You are making so much progress right now, so don't ruin it. Everyone worked together to turn this day around, and I know everyone will continue that love and support to death and on. I don't want to ever see you become the broken figure you were today, or the one you were when Freya hurt you. One day, we very well may become lovers, but that's only if you keep that smile high, your chin up, and your chest out."
"Hehe..." Her words immediately helped a smile, "You'd rather have my chest out then my tongue out, on your neck?"
"I knew I shouldn't have let those moans out," She growled to herself, blushing as now he knew she enjoyed herself, "Jokes on you. The others will be back there, so there's nothing you can do to me."
"Oh?" Cyril purred, "I'm sure if your moans get too out of control, my lips should be able to hush you, or even a paw if I'm so focused to your neck."
"You try and cut off my airflow, and I'll do the same to yours."
"Then how would we ever kiss?!"
"I said if you try, that doesn't mean I can't. At least try and keep yourself in check until then."
"Until when?"
"Depends on how well you behave."
"Or, next time your punished, I could always take my chances. You were against my neck bitting at first, so what makes you think you won't be for my lips after a little while."
"Because if that does happen, you better have enjoyed that kiss to your fullest, because I will cut them off once I come to."
"You'll cut them when you come too? I was talking about kissing, not sex."
"T-O!" Flair growled to him, but surprisingly to her, no anger was needed nor found in her little flirt session with Cyril, "You sure are taking some deep steps into some hot, HOT, ass water. But I'm... not going to lie..." Faced slightly away from him, as with last time, she didn't wish to face him directly as saying this was both embarrassing, but also scary to what he may do, "I... really like this side of you... You... really seem to care about me, and I... thank you... I hope now that we're... truly, together... for now and forever... I hope you will continue to be you... To be the dragon that I damn well hate because... you just seem..." Sighing, her head looked down as still, even as she tried to face him, she still wasn't completely ready, "So perfect to me... and I want you to know just how sorry I am for what I did to you... for what I said to you..."
Giving a smile to her, at first, he wished to be as helpful as possible. Lowering his head and kissing her forehead, she gave a smile to this, and as he backed, he helped her now, "We are more together then we've ever been, and I'm thankful to you for sticking by me even after what I myself had done... While I enjoy the nights we cuddle so, so very much... I enjoy the days most of all. Being able to talk with you, see you, smile to you, and nuzzle your smooth, beautiful face... I don't know what I'd do without you..." Her head raised as she wished to see his smile, and not only did she see the smile, but also a blush, "But..." Now that he was done helping, he wished to tease her, "I feel like maybe to help rid these fears, I do wish for my mind to flood with the sounds of you moaning so, I hope it wouldn't be too much to ask if I could... have a taste of your scales again."
"Ugh..." Flair gave a sigh.
"No no no! I don't mean... Flair, if you don't, please tell me... I love..."
"On one condition..." He swallowed hard to hear she had a demand, and her demand was one of which he didn't know he could go through with, "I get to have a taste of the scales on your neck."
"What?!" Cyril gasped, "Bu-bu-but-I wouldn't... I couldn't survive the feeling! I know I said I could control myself, but if you're over ME, kissing and licking my neck... What if... what if I accidentally kiss you?!"
"Tell you what," Moving close to him, touching chest to chest with a paw to his shoulder, she gave him a promise, "If you can hold yourself back; no sexual words, movements, or advancements..." To make it even more seducing to him to help with the mood, she whispered very gently to him, causing each and every individual scale to stand up on end, "I'll trust you enough to have a taste of my lips..." His body acted without thoughts as both his wings grabbed a hold of her back and pushed her closer to him, which only made his body warm up, feeling her body do the same, "I know how amazing you are, and I want so desperately to finally experience the love you have for me without fear. I was excited in my dreams to finally live again with you, and where my dreams failed, I know you won't. So... do we have a deal?" His teeth clenched as he couldn't speak from how he felt, so instead, he closed his eyes to drop tears before nodding to her, "That's a good dragon," To his sudden and joyful surprise, he felt as her tongue licked up his neck, making his head raise up and give a pleased groan, knowing he couldn't feel any better then how he felt now, "Mmhmm... You're already so tasty... Now I see why the others were talking about the brownie being the second best thing they've tasted," Once again, with the use of her tongue, she went up the scales of his neck, forcing another groan as his body nearly jumped in excitement, "You'd definitely be my first."
"Hehe, damn, Flair," Hearing a voice, the two stopped dead and didn't look to the voice at first, both staring off into the distance with dead looks in their eyes, "Never in a million years did I ever expect you'd ever show such... love to someone in such a way like this, especially not Cyril," Both faced over in wide eyes to see who the voice was, and to make things worse, while they knew it was Ersa now, they also saw the blushes and head shakes from Terrador, Trish, and even Volteer, "Ever for a mind such as my own, I could've never imagined seeing something like this. Hehe, it looks like that heat from your body is going to a lot more places then just your scales."
"AND?!" Flair showed her teeth wide as the embarrassment she felt was now an uncomfortable one, "I'm just giving him a... a-a-a... Ugh! A false sense of love! That's it!"
"Damn girl. You can't even deny you like him now," Ersa was rather happy to see the relationship the two had now.
"Ersa! What did I talk about teasing! Especially in front of the others!"
"Hehe, okay, okay, my bad," She still giggled with a happy smile.
"Before I have to kill someone in this hallway, I suggest and heavily advice you all get to walken."
The four were sure not to go against her words and did exactly as they were told. Terrador passed by with Trish as they made their way to the back room, followed by Volteer, and what seemed like Ersa, but she stopped near the front of both Cyril and Flair. Flair gave a confused look, but Volteer gave a worried one, turning to see she wasn't with him. After having seen the two and their new relationship, it seemed like the right idea to comment on it, "You should be thanking Flair, Cyril," He now gave her a confused look as well, but not out of disrespect, "I'm serious when I told you about what he was going through, Flair. And while you may not like to hear it, I'm... feeling better myself too. I really worried for you... both of you... but I'm glad to see my fears weren't needed."
"Yeah, well... I saw where my faults lied..." Ersa and Volteer gave wide eyes to her she was admitting her mistakes, "I may feel better, but I'm not changed. I'm serious when I say that I will not hesitate to kill someone if they threaten me, or my family. So if you're scared of some blood shed, I suggest you don't stand so close to me."
"Don't you mean tear shed?" Ersa giggled, "Didn't know if that was sweat dripping down Cyril's neck, or your tears. You after his tears now, rather then his blood?"
"If you were Malefor, I would love to make an example by taking his bones, rather then his blood."
"I mean, scientifically speaking, bones are rather tasty."
"Oh joy. Seems like I get to eat something else tomorrow then."
"Oh no," Volteer shivered to hear and see Flair's mouth as it watered, "Bro, Malefor, you're so dead."
"You know what really sucks," Claire sighed as she laid next to Ignitus's left on his bed in the dark night that gave dimming light into Sleeping Chambers.
"You could... if I roll to my back maybe..." Ignitus chuckled just mainly as a joke, even though it still made him blush rather hard.
"I mean, if you're offering," She was all for it, standing up even.
"'Offering'?!" The way she said it made him freak, "Wa-wa-wait! What I meant to say was, what sucks?!"
"My mouth. Now roll over. Squirm some and I might use tongue."
"The others could be back any minute! And we aren't mates...! Are we...?"
"I honestly wish I had more time to think about something like that..." Claire sighed as she sat to the bed now, and to give her comfort, he sat up with her, bringing his wing up and over to her back, "I'm probably doing what everyone else is right now where we look back on what we've been through and how we got here. I mainly look back on the time me and you had when I first got here. Hehe... I remember when I told you to leave my room, I heard the door click, and I... was ready to kill you and leave. But when you jumped up onto the bed and helped me... I... I feel like I've never thanked you in a real way... I've never shown just how much your help meant to me."
"Hehe, you helped me more then I helped you," It was easier for him to assure her as when he thought about it, he believed the good only came from her, "I remember how surprised you were when I told you I never mated with someone before, or even kissed for that matter, and you flipped," She giggled from memory, "Now having you around, and being able to have some kind of romantic connection, it makes me wonder that much more how I survived this long."
"We all ask ourselves that every day we live and breathe..." She smiled with Ignitus, "You know what I wish we could do right now, or at least, what I want to do now."
"Is this about the sucking thing?"
"Let's put a pin in that, but I better not be helping you out without you doing the same for me," He didn't have anything to say as this kind of embarrassment froze him, "But, what I wish is for this day to honestly... end..." Ignitus gave a heavy shiver, wondering if she didn't enjoy this day after all, and while he didn't need to say anything, his shiver gave her enough to warrant a quick explanation, "Before you think wrong; no, I didn't hate this day. In fact, I thank Ancestors it didn't turn into a shit show. I'm mainly just... worried about Flair and Cyril. And yeah yeah yeah, I know they might get back together, but... how much longer can the two continue with this back and forth?"
"As much as I know Flair would kill me to say, talking about her past would make more sense to help that understanding. But, to avoid the use of my powers and possibly make things worse, I have hopes Cyril will help her. He's been in a terrible relationship before as you remember from me saying back in the day."
"Yeah... and you also talked about what Freya did to him: how she tried to turn him against you all."
"Nothing was ever simple, that's for sure," Wondering how he would phrase what he had to say, Ignitus took some thought on it, going quiet for a second to really piece together what needed to be said, "Flair... I trust... now more then what I saw before. She wants power, but not to abuse: simply just to feel safe. Cyril trusts her enough to give her that power. She doesn't abuse it, he doesn't force her to worry in a power difference, and both benefit. Both were wrong in how they acted today, but... maybe that's a good thing. The death was unfortunate, but Flair needed to move on."
"Why did she even bother running to his arms in the first place after what he's done to her?"
"Look at the relationship me and you have. While good things and bad things happen, when it comes to someone you really, truly love, and you feel you can't live without, you go blind to the truth. As an example; I save your life, so you feel I deserve to have your life. So you'd blindly follow me because you believe I love you, or that I'm something more, when in reality, you're wasting your life to someone abusive, maybe even sycophantic. You don't know me. You only know the act I put on to seem like the good guy," Claire backed from Ignitus to hear this as it more feared her then informed her, and he was quick to apologize, "No no no, I don't mean me... I'm talking about similar situation to what I've read... or to what happened to my brothers... my family... I... really hope I don't come off that way."
"I would be much more afraid if you hadn't spilled the life stories of you and the other Guardians, so at least if you attack me, I'll have something to use back," Ignitus frowned to hear he really did scare her.
"Sorry... I... didn't mean to scare you..." He murmured.
"Ignitus, we've been together for almost a month. I know you aren't like that," To cheer him up, she snuggled to his side, helping him feel her cool scales that in a way warmed him and his heart, "I was wrong to think you'd attack me... especially since I'm the only one who's hurt the other..." While she warmed his side, he warmed her paw as he placed his over hers, and the two smiled to one another for each of the individuals help, "Going back to something else though; I wanted this day to end because... I really want to see everyone back in the Chambers. I went from hating Malefor to turning around and appreciating his kind hearted nature. I wish to hear him fighting with Spyro, to hear Cyril sighing in joy with Flair... Hehe... the sexual jokes with Volteer and Ersa..."
"Which are next level, not gonna lie," Some jokes of theirs made him borderline uncomfortable.
"To think how many times we've been out there yet, I hope and pray every day will continue to be just the same."
"Might need a renovation in the future though. There's gonna be quite a lot of Hatchlings running around once we all settle."
"So... you believe... the Guardians are with their soul mates?" Claire needed to look into Ignitus's eyes as she asked this question.
He could see rather easily through her asking. For him, he saw lust, excitement, and joy within her eyes. Claire saw different within his eyes, seeing content, delight, and relaxation, combining both of the smiles from the two together from an untroubled and tranquil feeling. It wasn't a surprise to either as each moved in, very gently touching lips that started off smooth. But as their talks really entered one another's minds, Claire's paws went from the bed to the back of his neck as they wrapped, pulling him closer and getting the warmth from his chest. Now his body supported her, feeling her fall to his chest in what he could tell as her trusting him to keep her from falling. This helped him get more into the kiss as her motion eased him in his thoughts, She trusts me... I would never hurt her... and she knows that too. His body moved on it's own as his paw stroked her cheek at first before having his other paw join as well. Moving his paws down her neck, he stayed to her sides for a couple of seconds, but as her tongue touched his, his paws reacted by moving further down. Down to her legs, his paws rested to her back end from both sides, and as he clenched her, she moaned, allowing him to push her forward and more to him. With no way of support from behind, she slipped backwards. His wings acted, catching her from both sides. Their lips smacked as their heads backed away, and a small saliva string feel from their mouths and onto her. Because his paws had to move, Ignitus now placed them next to her as he stood over, giving slightly rasied breaths along with her. The two were ready for the other to make the move at this point, wishing to take the other on the ride of their lives.
"Ahem."
Hearing someone clearing their throat, both were quick to look to their right and saw Flair standing near their bed with Cyril walking up to her. The two noticed as Terrador, Volteer, and their females were already to their beds, and since they were already faced to their right, they noticed the door was already closed as well. Claire growled with teeth as she turned from soothing and sweat, to bloodthirsty, "Son of a... BITCH!" Flair rasied a brow to her anger, not showing any fear as she didn't fear her, but Cyril and Ignitus both shivered heavily, "THIS IS SOME BULLSHIT! You're telling me, the one time we're really about to do something, the ONE, DAY, something spicy may happen, is the one day everyone comes back here!" Thinking about it, her arms dropped from Ignitus, and she placed a claw to his chest as she felt like she knew the reason, "You knew this would happen, didn't you! YOU KNEW ALL ALONG!"
"What?!" Ignitus cried.
"Let me guess; we mate here, and the whole word blows up or something?!" He blushed to hear her get aggressive about them not mating, "You knew, if they didn't show up, something would've happened! So you blocked that, blocked US, from having some fun! If you didn't want something to happen you... ASS GRABBER! Why didn't you say something sooner?! Is it because you know your looks melt me like your fire?! Because you know I'm excited to think and see your... your... your...!"
"Please don't finish that sentence," Flair knew exactly what she was thinking about, "Control yourself, girl."
"I bet the explosion you could make wouldn't compare to Malefor and Spyro's power," Claire made everyone back their heads in embarrassment.
"Claire! Control! Yourself!"
"Hehe, Volteer sure showed me his... explosion, our first night," Ersa purred.
"HEY!" Flair was only getting more and more red in the face as things were getting way too hot and heavy between the girls and their males, "Please keep such disgusting matters to yourselves!" Faced to Cyril, she saw he had a rasied paw with a slightly opened mouth, and this made her show her teeth, "If this has to do with you thinking I'm hopeful about an explosion from you, the only exciting explosion that will come from you will be from your heart when I pop it in my paws," Cyril's mouth clapped shut, "Go sit down before you piss me off any further," He was quick to do as he was told, running off to his left and hurrying to his bed, "Come on, Claire. Even for you, I expected the males to say such dirty shit, but you?"
"It's Ignitus's fault! He grabbed my ass! He seduced me! What was I supposed to do?!"
"Your tongue came into my mouth," Ignitus raised a brow to her.
"At least I know the other wants something in their mouth," Claire growled to him, still in pure lust, "Now give me something to taste, you tease."
"Not tonight!" Flair warned both of them, "If I hear some kind of moan that even HINTS of something sexual, I'm dragging Ignitus's body out with my blade to his heart."
"Damn... Flair really just rooster-blocked me," Ignitus sighed.
"What?!" Claire caught on to exactly what he meant.
"Rooster... blocked?" Flair sighed to hear him say.
"Would you rather me say coc..."
"NO!" She was quick to stop him with the raise of her paw, "Just... ugh... why am I not surprised. Look, I don't give a shit if you two do it, but it's not going to be when I'm in hearing distance, that's for damn sure. If you've supposedly lasted this long without your... sexual desires... another day won't kill you, and if it doesn't, I will. And Ersa!" She already knew she was ready to say something sexual, "I don't care if Volteer proved that fact! I will be the judge of that for myself, with Cyril."
Everyone stayed quiet for a second, but then they all blurted, "WHAT?!"
"Oh please. You're surprised at that, but not the fact that Ignitus said rooster-blocked? Or Claire drooling and upset she didn't have sex with the man she's wanted as her mate for so long?" Ignitus and Claire both blushed as they couldn't look to one another after her saying this, and it was strictly because they still weren't ready out of pure fear, "I've already made it very clear. We're either going to end up mates, or he's going to end up died."
"Wait," Wiggling some, Ignitus knew what that meant, and as he backed off from her, Claire was able to stand back to her paws, "So does that mean... the fights between you and Cyril... they'll no longer happen?" Flair sighed as she understood what she meant, "I understand why you get mad, Flair, but it's... scary not knowing if you two will be separated or, if he'll be dead because of some dispute. If he does something stupid, then please come to us girls and we will help you, I promise. But even for me, when you left Cyril... I was... afraid... afraid that would be it... you would leave, Cyril would forever be left in a destroyed state, and we'd never see you again afterwards..."
"Claire..." Flair took this conversation with ease, "I've tested the waters around here enough to understand what I can or can't do, and from what I've found, it seems I could do anything without repercussions. Now, with that being said, all because I can do something, doesn't mean I will. Things like killing Cyril, leaving, or fighting with him; it's all things I know I can do... but after today, I've realised just how terrible those ideas are."
"Flair... Do you remember this morning, when you looked at me in complete and utter fear for what had happened?"
"What about it?" White shine was shown as Flair gave a show of her teeth.
"You really care for Cyril... don't you."
Flair noticed Cyril's head raised as he wondered just as much as Claire was wondering. But because he was there, waiting in hopes and anticipation, she didn't wish to reveal too much even after all she's said, "I tried to enjoy my life with him today, or at least, I wanted to, but so much happened. I wish to try again tomorrow, and I have hopes things will be different," Thinking about what they did today and how it turned around in a way she never expected, it was unfortunate for Flair, but very fortunate for Cyril, "Of course I care about Cyril, which is why I wish to see what a normal life would be with him. Though for now, I'm simply lying in wait."
"Uhhhhh... what?" Volteer questioned from the bed all the way down to Flair's right as she and the others looked to him, "This is probably stupid for me asking but, do you mean lying and wait to see what will happen, or, lying in wait for an individual, being Cyril, with the intent to kill or conflict serious bodily harm?"
"Depends on if this night goes upside down. I heard you all snore like bears, and if I'm woken in the middle of the night because of this snoring, my blade will visit you in your dreams... and lungs."
"Hehe, which, I mean, Ignitus, you could always just mute our snores so Flair wouldn't hear," Cyril suggested as it was a perfect plan.
"I... could... but unfortunately... something's supposed to happen tonight that I can't change."
"Hehe, yeah... wait-what?"
"Yeah... something about Volteer snoring, so she attacks him, a fight breaks out and he attacks Flair, you attack him, Ersa gets in the middle in, you accidentally hurt her, which the Dark Master then takes advantage of the situation and kills someone, I can't remember," Ignitus spoke with such flow and ease that everyone believed him, so much so the Flair backed from Volteer, both giving wide eyes to the other, "I can't do anything because, well... The Ancestors wish for some, I guess you could say, character development."
"Um... Yeah, I think I'm just gonna go," Cyril stood and was ready to walk out before such a thing happened.
"Cyril! Guys! Relax!" Ignitus saw the fear from Volteer and Terrador as he looked to them, same for Flair and Cyril, though he heard it from his voice, "Flair, if anyone snores, please wake me up and I'll deal with them."
"And where's the fun in that?" Flair questioned, though what he said did scare her, "I'll just make sure the blood isn't from Volteer. He has already shown he'd attack me."
"Flair..." Volteer murmured.
"Look, everything will be fine. I stopped snoring when Claire joined me, and since no one else has complained about snoring, then that just means, as long as we have our females, we should all do fine," Ignitus made sure to ease the others, still wanting to keep an open mind about what was said in case he did need to do something, "You'll all do fine tonight, and since it's gotten so late, let's all just take a breath, lay down, and go to sleep."
"Don't tell me what to do," Flair was quick to growl even though she understood.
Walking to her left and over to where Cyril laid, she stopped at the front of the bed to see his left wing was raised and awaiting her arrival to drop over. To make it even more embarrassing for her, his paws crossed and his claws tapped the bed in a row some. He made sure to look off away from her as he awaited his female's warm body, though because he knew what he was doing as well, he gave a blush the same. Flair growled low enough to where he couldn't hear, Fine... I'll let you have this one. Taking a couple more steps to the bed, she placed one paw to the top of the bed before using her force to pull herself completely up and on top of it. Turned to face the door, her body laid to her stomach and chest, and while not snuggled to his side yet, Cyril put his act into action. Draping his wing to her back, he looked to her with a smirk, "Oh? Would you look at that; laying next to me with such ease, almost like you know I'm your protector: your... Guardian Angel?"
"And those were his last words before I finally gutted him," Having already known exactly what he was to do and say before he even executed his plan made her head shake, but unfortunately for her, it still got a blush off from her cheeks, "What's with this lovey-dovey bullshit?"
"Hehe, sorry, it's just, before I met you, I never knew what it was like to be able to look at someone and smile for no reason," He purposefully said exactly what she was questioning, which only made her growl more, "It's gonna be another good night too, because if I wake up late at night, roll over, and see your face, I'll smile, and know that I'm right where I'm supposed to be."
"Cyril," Flair needed to grow a little more aggressive as her blush was becoming too much, "You're as mushy as you are annoying."
"Maybe you killing me would be a good thing. Because if I had to do my life over again, I'd find you sooner, just so I be with you longer," Having enough of his quotes, her blade was felt to his side as it groped past him and cuffed directly over his neck, and while he would've continued, seeing her eyes, teeth, and claws clench, Cyril made sure to answer her properly now, "I'm just happy is all, Flair..." She waited for him to say something afterwards as a quote, but because he didn't, she wondered what he was talking about, "You asked what was with the lovey-dovey stuff, and, well..." Ducking his head so the others wouldn't hear or see what he was saying, his soul eased as he gave a sigh, "After the talk you had with me... the support you gave to me... I just... how could I ever thank you?"
Taking her blade from his neck, she snuggled completely to his side now, nearly nose to nose with him as she spoke in an eased tone, "You can thank me by making me never do such a thing again...even though..." Sighing, Flair took a peak to see if the others weren't watching, and noticing the others were all laid, eyes closed and cuddled to who they were with, she was able to look back and speak more freely, "You're... welcome... it was the least I could do after you helped me so much since I've been here."
"For now and forever," Placing a paw over hers, he smiled, whereas she blushed.
"Little steps, Cyril, little steps," He chuckled as he knew what she meant, "But... are you sure you want to sleep with me again? After... what happened last night... aren't you afraid?" He was already ready to answer her, but to make sure, she put the fear and every single detail into what she wanted to say to scare him and get his response, "I mean, after the blood that filled your lungs. The holes and blood that spilled from not only your side, but your mouth as well. You do realize I have no control over my nightmares, so if I have one again tonight, there's no guarantee I'd keep myself from stabbing you again."
"Hehe, ah, this again?" Cyril remembered her trying to scare him like this before, "Then in that case," Wrapping his tail completely around hers and wiggling his wing a little to tell her it was there, there was only one thing missing now, "You've tried this before, Flair, hehe, and once again, I'm not afraid. I wasn't afraid when I didn't know I'd get helped by you, and I'm definitely not afraid now, especially since Ignitus is right there to heal me."
"And what I cover your mouth while you bleed to death?" Still trying her best to scare him, it didn't work.
"The only time I could see you covering my mouth is if we're having a little fun, and you don't appreciate me teasing," Her head backed in a show of a blush, knowing exactly what he meant, and he chuckled from the image, "I'm just imagining it now. I'm laid to my back, your bouncing, and while your growling trying to fight back the fact that you love it, I tease you, and so you cover my mouth to..."
"Shut it!" She finally did exactly as she wanted and acted out of her own by slapping her paw to his mouth, and even through her blush and softened voice as she gave a growl, he still kept a smirk, enjoying her embarrassed looks, "Thanks for the image, because now I'm really gonna have a nightmare, you dumbass!" She growled to see how lusty he looked for what he was thinking about, and so, to catch him in the act, a challenge was issued, "Cyril... stand up right now."
"What?" He asked in a mumble from her paw.
"If that image is making you, 'happy', I'm walking out."
"I'm in control, I swear!" Taking her paw from his mouth, she wished to hear his defense, "I mean... it's authentic is it not? Of course you'd have all the control in bed."
"I'm starting to wonder if maybe I should go back on the whole, us being guaranteed mates, thing," A shiver was felt from him after she had said this, "Then stop acting like we're gonna have sex tomorrow or some shit like that!" He swallowed hard as he understood where he was going wrong, "You're doing so good right now: don't ruin this," While she was talking, his paws moved from hers, giving her plenty of space to rest her head to, "I like you, Cyril, and if you wish for us to be more, then I expect you to show you actually care."
"And what would make you think I don't?" He wanted to know as to avoid.
"Cyril... lay with me... comfort me... and go to sleep. Don't worry about anything else right now."
"If you... say so," Not even realizing it, his head so easily laid to the back of her neck and right over the top of one of her fins.
"Are you trying to kill yourself?!" Her sudden growl confused him.
His body gave a shiver from her sudden yell that she tried to keep tamed as to not wake the others, and even from the yell, he didn't move, "Wh... what?"
"You're...! Wait... do you even know what you did...?"
"I... don't... think I do," Cyril was in complete confusion for her sudden upset sounding voice.
"Cyril, I get it, you aren't scared of me. Stop trying to prove that."
"Flair, I'm being completely honest: I have no idea what's going on."
Does he really not know he's laying his head right to the top of my fin? Flair questioned herself now as she didn't understand if what he was saying was with honesty or not, but because his voice did sound rather confused, she shed a tear to him, "Look, just... never mind... I just..." Closing her eyes and letting the feeling of heaviness in her body take over, she whispered to him, "Thank you... okay..." Still confused on what she was saying, he couldn't comment, "Goodnight, Cyril."
"Goodnight... Flair," He closed his eyes the same, deciding not to think on it now, feeling just as tired as her, and because of the comfort and ease from one another's voice and bodies after, the two were both easily able to drift off to sleep.
