Sesshomaru's POV

She is hiding something from me, I will let her keep her secrets for now. "Perhaps." the blush left her cheeks and she refused to keep eye contact with me any longer. "Jakken!"

The Imp seemed to come from nowhere. "Yes Mi Lord?"

I sighed and looked up at the castle. "Show Kagome to a guest room."

He bowed low beside me. "Y-yes Lord Sesshomaru." He paused for a moment. "Is there anyone, in particular, you wish for her?"

I turned away from them and started towards my rooms. "I'm sure you will find something suitable for her."

"Y-yes Mi Lord!" I heard him shuffle towards Kagome before entering the doors and heading down the halls. I need to find out her secrets but the first thing we need is to find her Demon and release it. I felt my heart speed up in excitement at the thought of her demon coming forth. I wonder what spirit she embodies.

"Lord Sesshomaru!"

I sighed and turned. "Idris."

She smirked. "I see you brought that strange demon with you."

I suppressed a growl and turned away from her. "She is none of your concern."

Idris stepped up beside me. "I'm curious to know why you're protecting her so."

I froze and spun around grabbing her by the neck and held her against the wall. "She. Is. Not. Your. Concern."

She froze under my grip and refused to meet my eyes. "Y-yes, my Lord."

I sighed and released her. "Sent for the Fates."

She glanced up quickly. "T-the fates? Has there been a-"

I growled at her. "Do it."

I watched her bow low from the corner of my eye. "Yes, My lord." I sighed as she quickly retreated to wherever she spent her time.

Kagome's POV

I almost had to jog to keep up with the surprisingly quick imp demon. "Jakken?"

He turned his head slightly. "Yes?"

I sighed and clenched my fists. "H-how do you find out a demons type?"

He slowed down to a stop looked me up and down and sighed. "When a demon is born there are certain demons called upon to make sure if the child is a pure species or outside of its species."

I blinked in surprise. "Can you be more than one type?"

He nodded. "Yes but it's rare. Demons tend to stay within their species, there are some however that don't believe in it and will seek out different demons." He paused and looked up at the ceiling before sighing and looking back at me. "Demons born from different species don't always have their true form."

I looked him in the eye. "I won't have a true form will I?"

He shrugged before taking off down the hall gesturing for me to follow. "I don't know. You are something different. If I hadn't known you before no one would be able to convince me you were once a priestess..." He slowed down and turned to me his eyes filled with curiosity. "How did you become a demon? Did you finish the jewel and make a wish?"

I shook my head. "No." I fingered the small pouch on my hip that held the piece of the jewel Naraku had left me with, in his haste to escape his castle. "Naraku changed me."

Jakken froze and suspicion entered his eyes. "Naraku?

I lowered my head not wanting to meet his eyes. "I-"

"She is not working for him nor under his spell."

We both jumped in surprise as Sesshomaru materialized a few feet from us.

Jakken looked at him. "Are you certain Mi Lord?"

Sesshomaru looked me in the eye sending jolts of electricity through my body. "I am certain."

Jakken nodded. "You are never wrong Mi Lord."

He looked up at me and nodded. "Your rooms are this way."

I followed him down the hall glancing back to see that Sesshomaru had vanished just as quickly as he appeared. He stopped at the very end of the hall. "You are to be staying here. I assume Sesshomaru has already sent word to the Fates to meet with you soon." He turned to leave but stopped and turned to me. "How did he do it? Is there a shard in your neck as well?"

I felt my heart drop at the thought or poor Kohaku and shook my head. "No, he took my purity."
