Author's Note: Hey guys, so I'm back and for those who didn't know, I've made the announcement to get back to writing and finishing this story. I've also explained why I stopped writing for a long time and you can find it along with my other stories titled "Where I've Disappeared To After All This Time?". I've talked about the issues going on in my life and basically how life got in the way. So for those who have been expecting this chapter, I'm sorry. But now I'm back and I hope you like this chapter, so enjoy part 3 of The Conquest of Auradon!
Chapter 39: The Conquest of Auradon Part 3
"And that's all for the Defenders, Ladies and Gentlemen! What is the score, Judges?" Snow White said.
Fairy Godmother, Steve Ditko and Stan Lee held up a 4, a 7 and a 3, earning group 17 fourteen points.
"And that puts them in 7th place on the scoreboard!" Snow White said.
She points out to the scoreboard and the 17th score was just entered. The group that dressed up as The Defenders walked off the stage as the audience claps and cheers for them.
"Entry 18, come on out!" Snow White said.
A man and a woman dressed as Cloak and Dagger walks up the stage, leaving behind Quincy and the others who are last.
"Ok, this is it, guys. We're up next. You all know what to do?" Ben said.
"You don't have to tell me twice, Cap. I was born ready!" Quincy said when he snaps his fingers and a small flame lits up on top of his index finger.
"I'm ready!" Doug said pinching his fist into his hand.
"Where you want me at?" Jordan said holding her sword across her chest.
Everyone was pumped up, even Ben himself who was so proud of everyone as they've come so far.
"So who's the opening act of our group?" Audrey asked. "Because we all know that we save the best for last." She smiled and flips her hair.
"And I thought she was delusional before." Jordan whispers to Quincy who laughs quietly.
"Well, I think the captain of the R.O.A.R. team should present last." Jay said.
"Ex Captain, you mean? Everyone know I'm the friendly neighborhood superhero." Lonnie refers to her costume.
"You ain't no Spider-Man." Jay said.
"In her dimension, she is!" Lonnie says back.
"You guys, it doesn't matter, as long as we work together, we'll come out on top." Ben said.
"Yes Ben, I agree, so maybe we should go over this one more time, not that I forgot how to make an entrance, but I'm sure there's some people who might've." Quincy smiled sheepishly.
"Right…" Ben caught on to him. "When they call for us….."
Ben goes over they're presentation with the group and everyone was memorizing how to handle their powers during it. Quincy hopes to keep his under control and not burn down the entire stage. Meanwhile, Eliza was in her own little world, not hearing a word Ben was saying to her. In other words, she feels….guilty.
"Eliza?" She heard her name being said. "Eliza!"
She turns her head towards everyone who was staring at her confused.
"You heard what I said? You good on your part?" Ben said.
"Umm…I…." Eliza stutters.
"Is something wrong?" Ben said.
With this weighing guilt, Eliza decides to let it out. But before she can do it, the judges called out other contestant.
"19!" Fairy Godmother said. "Come on out!"
"That's us!" Ben said. "Let's go!"
"Yeah!" Everyone except Eliza said.
The True Believers made their way close the judges table, but before the audience sees them, Jane's mother steps up in front of them.
"What are you doing?" She asks.
"We're up next." Ben said.
"Sweetie, I think there's been a misunderstanding."
"What do you mean?" Mal asks.
"It's not your turn yet?" Fairy Godmother said.
"What's are you talking about? Of course it is." Mal said.
"And besides, we're the only group left." Jay said.
"That's correct, you all are the only group left, number 19 is a solo act." Fairy Godmother said.
"What? But Mom, I don't see anyone else." Jane said.
"But Jane, she's right behind you." Fairy Godmother pointed.
Jane looks to see who's she's pointing to, and when she and everyone did, they were shocked to see who it was.
"Eliza?" Jay said.
Eliza looked so ashamed that she doesn't bother to hide.
"Yeah, it's me." She says.
"But, that's impossible, you're in the group with us." Jay said.
"I never really did sign up with you." Eliza said.
"Mom, can you give us a second?" Jane said. "Please?"
Fairy Godmother gets the tone from her daughter and understands how serious it was. "I'll stall for a little while." She then went back to the judges table.
"You never signed with us? Why didn't you tell us?" Jay said.
"Because she's a conniving little brat!" Audrey said.
"Wait, I can explain." Eliza said.
"Explain what, how you've been waiting to make a fool out of us?" Jordan said.
"No, I swear I was gonna to ask to switch to you guys, but when we got up to the sign up, they told me it was too late and they gave you my number because they got it mixed up, ask me if I can give it to Mal. I was afraid that y'all would think I wasn't serious about you guys, but I really am. These last few days have been the best I had in a while." Eliza explained.
"Are you saying this because you like us so much, or that you got caught?" Trevor said.
"Sure sounds suspicious." Ally said.
"I knew we couldn't trust you, and I was just starting to think if I should forgive you!" Audrey said.
"Wait, hold on!" Mal said.
"This has to be a mistake." Evie said.
"You're right, it's a mistake to have her apart of this group." Chad said.
"Chad." Quincy said.
"What, Quincy? She lied to us, manipulated us, who knows what else she could've did next? Turn us against each other?" Chad said.
If Quincy wanted to speak like now, then he has no idea what to say.
"Ben!" Eliza said to Ben. "Please, I know what I did to you is wrong, but I'm really didn't mean for this to happen."
"Don't make him help you, you don't deserve anything from him anymore, not after what you did all those years ago!" Audrey said.
"Ok, that's it!" Mal said. "What is the big deal?! What has she done with all you?!"
"Yeah, you guys never talked about what happened?." Jay said.
"You just stay mad about it." Evie said.
"And leaving us in the dark." Carlos said.
"Even my dad was never this secretive." Freddie said.
"We don't have to say anything." Chad said.
"Chad, even I agree with Freddie and we never agree on most things. You don't wanna say anything because you don't wanna relive the past, I get it. I'm from the Isle, you know?" Quincy said.
"Except the pranks you used to do?" Freddie said.
"Don't ruin this." Quincy said.
"The point is…." Evie making it clear. "That if you don't talk this out, it's gonna keep eating you alive.
"I'm never talking about it, ever!" Audrey said crossing her arms and closed her eyes.
"Wha…come on. Guys?" Mal says to the rest of the AKs.
They all looked away with sad expressions on their faces.
"Ben?" Mal said.
But Ben didn't know what to say.
"Uh Eliza, you're up now." Fairy Godmother said awkwardly.
"Ok, I'm coming now." Eliza said then starts walking.
She stops to looks at everyone on her right.
"I'm really sorry." She says softly then continues walking.
Jay held his hand out, but Eliza was gone and pulls it out when he realizes he can't talk to her now.
The contest resumes as Eliza steps on the stage front and center in front of the crowd. They roared with excitement as they see the supermodel in the flesh.
"It's Eliza!" A teen girl said.
"Elsa's daughter!" Another teen girl said.
"Love the costume!" A woman said.
"She's so hot!" A teen boy said.
Eliza was applaud by everyone who knows her since she's famous around Auradon, but even though they love her, she doesn't love herself right now. She was trying to make amends with the people she wronged so long ago, especially Audrey, who was hard to make her forgive her.
Flashback
Eliza was walking to a limo with a woman in a white pantsuit and teal blouse holds the door for her. As Eliza was about to enter, Audrey comes up behind her with an angry rage.
"You manipulating, she-devil!" Audrey said to her.
"Excuse us." Eliza said to the woman who went in the limo.
"I can't believe I was ever friends with you! You used us, got Ben upset and made a fool out of me!" Audrey said.
"Well, it's you word against mine, no one will ever believe you and you'll just make things worse for yourself." Eliza smiles evilly.
"Like Trevor's situation? Thanks to you, we'll never see him again!" Audrey said.
"He made the decision to leave, not me." Eliza said.
"And yesterday, you took everything I worked so hard on away from me! You knew I wanted and you took it out of my life!" Audrey said with tears forming in her eyes.
"I just saw an opportunity and took it when I have the chance." Eliza said.
"You're worst than any villain on the Isle of the Lost!" Audrey said.
"Your words, not mine." Eliza then opens the door up and closes it.
Audrey stares at the window until Eliza rolls it down.
"Oh, don't feel too bad about it, at least you'll now be the prettiest girl in Auradon Prep since I'm about to be prettiest in all of Auradon." She smiles evilly again before she rolls her window up and the limo drives off from Auradon Prep.
As she sees the limo leave, Audrey was still angry, but it wasn't long before the tears start falling and she starts to sob and covers her eyes.
Present
"Eliza?" Fairy Godmother calls out.
It snapped Eliza back into reality and sees she's still on stage.
"Oh sorry." Eliza said. "Let's get this show on the road.
Eliza gets in position and begins to change her body into pure diamond from toe to head while extending her arms. The crowd and judges were amazed at the "special effects" Eliza provided.
"I…I don't have any words." Fairy Godmother.
"Stupendous!" Steve said.
"Outstanding!" Stan Lee said.
"Here's mine, lights!" Eliza shouted.
The lights on top shined on her and Eliza lit up like a disco ball, covering the stage and the entire room with lights, even the audience were blinded by the giant lights. Backstage, things are still tense with the True Believers.
"Great, know she's a even brighter star." Audrey sulks staring at the floor.
Even Jay feels bad for her, wondering what could've happened between her and Eliza. The rest of the AKs were either sad, upset or disappointed with Eliza meanwhile the VKs were still clueless to what's going on.
"I can't think of a more awkward moment." Quincy said.
"So what are gonna do?" Carlos asks.
"I'm not even sure anymore." Mal said. "Even Ben's not talking."
"This is getting frustrating, I'm tired of this mess." Freddie said.
"I don't think anything can go worse from here." Mal said.
Meanwhile in the Audience…
"Argh, why she have to be so bright?"CJ said.
"Hmm…this gives me an idea." Mordo said.
"What about our plan?" CJ said.
"Don't worry, we're not changing it, just simply adding more to it." Mordo said.
Mordo raises his hand and a green glow forms around. He aims it at Eliza to shoot a magic blast at her, making it reflect on Eliza.
"Huh?" Eliza said.
She notices her light were turn green and becoming more vibrant as the blasts were hitting the floor at different spots as Mordo directed the lights. The spots were soon turning into portals in a swirly-like vortex. It got the crowds attention, soon the judges right after. Things were starting to come out of each one of the portals, things that were dark and what looks like made out of rock.
"What are those?!" Snow White said as she stares.
The cameraman was filming the portals, mostly the ones between the stage and the audience. The rocks were coming out and they appear more human-shape with no face except a glowing green eye for each one. The portals disappear as soon as the rock people emerge straight up.
"Huh?" Eliza said when she sees what's happening.
The rock people were standing still, not moving an inch.
All the commotion got Quincy's attention and decides to take a look. He peeps out from the curtain and sees what everyone's talking about. Quincy gasps at the sight when he sees those rock like statues appearing before his very eyes.
"Um, are those statues part of her act?" Quincy asks.
"What are you talking about?" Mal said walking up to Quincy.
She sees what he means by that and her eyes got wide. The statues weren't moving still but they do look alarming.
"Attack!" Mordo whispers.
The statues started to move and The audience, the judges and Eliza got even more worried. The first rock creature stomped on the ground, making the room shake a bit then the others joking along. Eventually the audience screamed, even more when the floor started to crack.
"Ahh!" They screamed.
"Guys!" Mal shouted to everyone.
"Take a look at this!" Quincy said.
"Why's everything shaking?!" Herkie said running up to them.
Soon everyone followed him and got a look.
"What the heck are those things?!" Trevor said.
"I don't know, but those causing a wreck in here!" Jay said.
The audience ran from the stands and out the doors but then they started to close. Some try to push and bang on them, but nothing worked.
"We're trapped!" One of them says.
The lights from above the stage started to fall piece by piece, circling around Eliza, who was still in diamond form. But then the whole light set got loose and now about to hit her and she doesn't even realize.
"Eliza!" Fairy Godmother shouted.
Eliza looked at her but didn't see the what was falling, except Jay did and attempts to save her.
"No!" Jay said.
When Eliza did notice him, she does see the shadow under her getting darker and looks up.
"Aahhhh!" Eliza screamed!
Author's Note: How was that for my comeback? Betrayal, Drama, Danger, all you can expect from this chapter. Will Mordo's plan succeeds? Will Jay save Eliza in time? Stay tuned next weekend for my next chapter and as always, Have a Wicked Day!
