Queen - Don't stop me now

Don't stop them now

Remus had just left and Lina could not stop smiling.

* A boy, a baby boy, Teddy Remus Lupin*

"I need to go and visit Tonks as soon as possible," Lina said while taking a seat at the kitchen table.

Regulus nodded in response, "we will do that , but let them enjoy Teddy together for some time, " he said looking at Lina and then turned his attention towards Harry.

"A godfather Harry, I hope you will give Teddy a better example than the one you have," he said, his grey eyes twinkling while he gave Sirius a big smirk.

"Hey, I am an awesome godfather," Sirius said throwing his arm around Harry's shoulder and hugging him.

Harry rolled his eyes at the display of affection but nodded his head.

"Yes, you are Sirius. But I think I'm going to go upstairs for a bit " and with those words he went up the stairs , quickly followed by Ron and Hermione.

Bill shook his head. "Something's up with them. They have been sneaking around with the Goblin, and I tried to talk to each of them alone but they won't say anything."

Lina nodded. "I have tried as well but I don't know anything."

Sirius and Regulus both shook their heads as well. "I had no luck as well," Regulus said.

"We can only wait and see I suppose," Lina said while she accioed a bottle of Firewhiskey and poured each one a glass.

"But for now, let's make another toast, to one new wonderful wizard in the making: Teddy Remus Lupin."

They all grabbed their glass and cheered : "To Teddy!"

Slipping downstairs to grab a glass of water for her pounding headache, Lina looked outside and saw the sun had just barely begun to rise.

Grabbing a glass and leaning against the kitchen counter Lina closed her eyes and softly cursed.

* My head, I don't want to admit it but that last Firewhiskey is the one whose giving me this headache. I'm not 17 anymore*

Opening her eyes , she started to fill the glass with water and quickly to a sip. Looking outside again, she sputtered out the water and nearly let her glass fall to the ground.

*I'm dreaming, this cannot be happening*, Lina thought while she quickly blinked her eyes and looked outside again.

Shaking her head, she grabbed her wand not sure what to do, running outside or hide , when she suddenly saw Harry's head appearing and the Goblins.

*okay, so if Harry's outside I cannot possible be seeing Bellatrix Lestrange in the garden? What is... Oh Hermione?!... What are they up to? Should I go and stop them?*

Looking outside again, she saw Bellatrix Lestrange taking one last lingering look at the Cottage before disapparanting.

*my headache and hangover are officially gone* Lina thought and she took a seat at the kitchen table , trying to make sense of what she had just seen and wondering if she made the right choice by not stopping them.

*Sirius is going to be furious with me* was the last thought Lina had for a very long time before another person stepped into the kitchen and all hell was about to break loose.

"You let them go?!" Sirius growled at her , while he kept on pacing the floor.

"Why? Why didn't you stop them? You should have stopped them. But ...you... did nothing!" Sirius yelled while pointing a finger at Lina's face.

Having seen and knowing the Blacks family's temper , Lina knew it would all be over soon but she couldn't help herself from responding.

"What was I suppose to do Sirius?!" she asked while looking him straight in the eyes.

"Pull them by their ears back inside like they are naughty little children?!"

"They are children !" Sirius yelled, his grey eyes almost completely black.

"They are adults , they have seen and done more dangerous things then we probably can imagine. This fight is not over , it's probably just barely beginning," Lina said the last sentence whispered.

Sirius pulled at his hair, "but Harry..." he whispered.

Lina nodded and walked towards the door, "I'm going to go for a walk... but Sirius , you are not the only one who loves them" and with those words she closed the door behind her, leaving the other members of Shell Cottage , alone to their thoughts.

Feeling a pair of arms around her waist, she leaned her head back and closed her eyes.

"He is sorry , you know," she heard Regulus whispering into her ear.

Nodding her head in response, she tightened her own arms over his arms and sighed.

"I know but it felt like the right choice."

"It was , but you know Sirius, " Regulus said softly.

Turning in his arms , she looked in his grey eyes and kissed him softly.

"I have this strange feeling like something big is about to happen. Like we need to be ready."

"I thought you hated Divination?" Regulus asked with a chuckle.

"I do but I can't help myself. We need to be ready."

Nodding his head , he kissed her again and hugged her tight.

"We will be."
