Bakugou
The morning after our final test, Shoto was still asleep next to me. I guess it must be at least 6am due to my lack of sleep. I released myself from him slowly trying not to wake him up. Before getting up, I tucked his hair behind his ear; seeing him so peaceful was hypnotic. I placed a kiss on his cheek before leaving the room. Thinking that this can be a daily routine from now on, wouldn't be bad.
After arriving from a run, Shitty–Hair was in the breakfast room with the Duct Tape. Recalling the last messages, he had shared with him, he insisted that this would be the weekend when we would go out. Ever since the last incident he was involved in, he really looked depressed over the death of that pro hero, so I agreed to stop him whining.
– Bakubro, what time is our appointment?
– As soon as I shower, we will go
– Are you going to have a date? – asked the one who was drinking a glass of reddish juice
– Well, no…
– We're just going for a walk. Let's see if this idiot goes back to his usual idiocy. – I answered without waiting for an answer, heading to my room.
When I finished changing, I checked my cell phone to see if there were any messages from the two–colored boy and the only notifications that were, for a change, those of the damn class group. Since it was the weekend and with the heavy sleep that he drives, he had to stay asleep. I had forgotten to tell him the night before that I was going out with the redhead, so I thought I'd send him a message telling him. "I'm going out with Shitty–Hair. We'll be back in the afternoon. When you see this message, write me back. "
– Bakubro! – the loud slam on my door almost made me drop the device
– What the hell?! – I abruptly opened the door
– We'll be late! – The redhead no longer had his nightwear
– Late for what?
– To share a day with my best friend! – his canines stood out in that silly smile of his
– You're a bummer – closing the door behind me, only for him to hang onto my shoulder on the way out.
He was as lively as a dog you go for a walk. We walked to the center, where there were various shop windows of all kinds and entertainment venues. Seeing him this happy was somewhat unnerving, unless he dealt with his dilemmas better than he thought.
– We are here! – It was an arcade venue. Upon entering the premises, it was like a kind of cave, full of strobe lights of various colors and artificial sounds of ships or who knows what the hell. Characters of all ages were enraptured by the colors and animations with which they interacted.
– A fucking arcade?! – He dragged me to one of the cabins that had a couple of plastic weapons and scopes
– Just relax! This'll be fun – putting on my scope and gun in hand. The game got off to a slow start, some damn ships were heading in our direction and with the pull of the plastic trigger, they were eliminated one by one. After a while, the audiovisual increased the number of these invaders while the weapons increased in capacity and range. I must admit that I was getting carried away; Seeing how they were so easily destroyed was addictive and invigorating, with each explosion just wanting to go to the next level. Despite the surround sound effects, I could hear the same euphoria coming from my left; apparently, he was already in a better mood. I guess it was turning out better than I thought. I wonder if Shoto would feel comfortable in a place like this.
I don't know how much time we spent at the video game store, but when we went out, it was already noon.
– That was fantastic!
– It wasn't that bad, Shitty–Hair
– Of course, we did, we got the highest score! – showing his sharp teeth again; sometimes it reminded me of a piranha or a shark.
– Whatever. I'm hungry.
– I know where we'll go! – dragging me back to another place.
He took me to an establishment about ten minutes from where we were. We sat at one of the tables next to the outside windows. I took one of the menus to order.
– What are you going to order? I invite
– Bakubro, it is not necessary, I ...
– You paid for that stupid game. – I interrupted, without taking my eyes off the rectangle I was holding – Besides, you risked your life last time ... I guess inviting you to lunch is not worth it, but it is the best you will get from me. Take it or leave. – Seconds passed before the sound of a strangled sob forced me to look ahead. Damn! His eyes were watery, drawing the attention of those who were in the premises, even passers–by! – If you don't calm down, I'll give you reasons to cry
– I can't help it! – he muttered between gasps – That's very manly, Bakubro!
– Order what you are going to eat to finally get out of here! – finally finding the spicy food section.
After ordering, and waiting a few minutes, the waiter brought what we were going to eat. He had ordered katsudon while I had a spicy ramen, which was not as spicy as I would have liked, but it was edible.
– Bakubro, you are admirable. From here I can feel the sting of the spicy, and you swallow it like nothing
– You and your weak palate.
– You wouldn't say the same if you had seen me fight Rappa – activating his quirk to bump his fists
– So? – Offering him my plate – I dare you to try it – He hesitated, but took it. His eyes whined as he brought the chopsticks to his mouth. After a few seconds he couldn't make out what was redder, his face or his hair. This was a fascinating sight; he couldn't contain his laughter. It reminded me of the time I went out with the bicolor to eat after having frozen the kitchen.
– I need water! – He got up quickly, rising abruptly from the seat.
As I waited for his return, my eyes focused on one of the projectors in one of the neighboring buildings. Between news and the promotion of some uselessly unnecessary product, I saw a hair treatment promotion for the dragon heroine, Ryukyu. He was also in the incident, being the one in charge of one of the big three, the round–faced frog. Unlike Mr. Nighteye, he was unharmed. While I would never advertise of any kind, it is a fact that being a hero involves much more than being the face of a product. If I had learned anything in the damn extracurricular course, it was that cooperation and prioritizing victims, ensuring their emotional and physical health, is essential in risky situations; as well as being an example for future generations, while we avoid dying in the fulfillment of these functions ...
– My tongue still burns. – He complained, still with the red face returning to his seat. – That's hell on a plate! – I wonder if he's okay at all.
When we went to see them at the hospital, their bodies were covered by bandages. Like the hero in charge of him, FatGum and the other of the Big Three, they were seriously injured. Only the damned Deku and Aizawa seemed to be unharmed, at least physically. The most talkative and annoying of the big three, he had lost his quirk to a drug created from the cells of the girl whose rescue cost one of the professionals his life.
…
We walked until we reached the bank of a river, where we sat on the rocks. Shitty–Hair was like a child, throwing rocks into the water, counting the jumps they made when they splashed. He didn't want to cloud his face with some question that would remind him of what happened, but had he really gotten over what happened?
– What's the status of FatGum?
– I didn't think you would be interested in the status of my hero tutor – he commented showing one of his fangs. While it bothered me that he was looking at me with such a stupid face, I couldn't let him divert the conversation.
– For you to end up in the deplorable state in which we saw you when visiting the hospital, it must have been a complicated fight
– It was – taking another rock to throw into the water. His voice dropped one two tones. – I surpassed my limit only for the incredible FatGum to knock out the pair of Yakuzas ... – He paused and I was afraid of being too intrusive – He is now recovered but, for a moment I was afraid of failing and not being strong enough to be his partner, however , I remembered Crimsom Riot and the reason I want to become a hero: fear is inevitable, we risk our lives to protect others after all; but there are worse things than that, like seeing who you could have saved die and the impotence of not being able to avoid it. – I didn't see him that sad since we were reproached by Aizawa when we settled in the bedroom – I want to be a hero without regrets, protecting my allies and saving those I can as far as possible. Being a chivalrous hero! – His face lit up again. I shouldn't have underestimated him. – Thanks for worrying about me. You are very nice, Bakubro.
– Of course not! – getting up to remove the traces of grass – And we better get out of here before dark. – Walking away from him. I could hear him laugh behind me.
At various times of the day I was checking my cell phone with no signs of the bicolor. He wouldn't be able to stay asleep all day, right? Once we got off the train, near the academy, I couldn't help noticing how red the redhead was.
– What's wrong?
– Nothing ... Why do you say it?
– You're redder than your hair.
– So? – That comment seemed to take him out of guard. I wonder if the secondary ravages of the spice he ingested were still having an effect and he had been hiding them from me.
– What do you do?! – He was nervous and with dilated pupils, which confirmed that in fact I was not quite well. I removed his hands from his face, to touch his forehead, which was slightly warm, it even seemed to redden more on contact.
– Why are you hiding that you're sick?!
– I'm not sick!
– Don't lie or pretend to be strong!
– I don't lie! – Taking my arms – Just ... I'm happy – releasing his hold, without looking into my eyes. So much fuss just to tell me that.
– It is not so bad. It wasn't even the first time... – returning to our destination
– Since we are in the dorms, it has no longer been necessary for you to accompany me on the way to my house and I missed this time alone with you; besides that, now you spend more time with Todoroki... – his voice was barely audible – A lot, in fact ...
– He and I only got closer for the damn after–school course
– Does that mean you won't have to spend so much time with him anymore? – He had already noticed that Shoto was not entirely his liking. Although they both risked for my rescue, it isn't that they have been so close before and much less since...
– Why does it bother you so much that I spend time with him? – I stopped my advance, forcing him to look at me. I didn't understand why he was so conflicted. I had dated him the way he wanted and now he'd have more time to be with the other trio of idiots, why did it bother him so much that I was with Shoto?
– I just feel like you've gotten away from us. Things are not like before; you have changed ... – at no time did he look me in the eye
– Of course, I have changed, otherwise I wouldn't have got my provisional license. – I clarified – But that doesn't mean that I will stop talking to you, I mean, – approaching him – I didn't eliminate you when I had the opportunity despite how annoying and insistent, you were – and still are, – I don't think it's worth doing now. – This time he looked up – Now remove that stupid expression. – His fangs slowly protruded again and I turned around, only for him to hang from behind my neck.
We were on the stairs and Shitty–Hair stopped looking at I don't know where the hell at.
– Now what? Are you going to stand there like an idiot? – Approaching him, I looked where his sight was. From his balcony there was a banner that read "Most Chivalrous Hero, Red Riot!" This had to be the doing of the other trio of troublemakers.
– Thank you, Bakugou! – Surrounding me with his arms – You're amazing!
– I have nothing to do with this! – trying to get away
– But a very bad liar – adjusting his arms even more. – Thank you very much for your support – he said the latter in a whisper, it even seemed to me that his voice was breaking
– Let's fucking go inside – finally letting go.
Upon entering, as I imagined, the battery, the acid dispenser and the tape, they surprised the redhead at the entrance. They tried to pull me into their stupid hug, but I chased them away with one of my explosions. I was exhausted and now I could only think about why the double quirk hadn't shown any signs of life all damn day.
I went straight to his room, only to hear no response from the other side, even after knocking on the door and repeatedly calling his cell phone. Maybe he was with the stupid "Dekusquad". Tonight, we would sleep in my room, so eventually I would have to make an appearance. I decided to go change, only to find him sitting on my bed.
– I was calling you on your cell phone – I commented taking off my jacket to place it on a chair – I didn't even receive a message from you all day. – I continued without whispering a word, staring at the ground. He didn't even flinch when he saw me. – What's happening?! – Taking his face in my hands, sitting next to him on the bed. He still didn't look at me and I was getting impatient. – Something's wrong? – I insisted now more calmly.
– You didn't tell me that you would go out with Kirishima – I didn't expect that
– Of course, ... – Looking at the message, I realized that I hadn't even sent it. Recounting what happened, I remembered that I was interrupted by piranha teeth. – I thought I sent you the message. – Putting my cell phone aside. Damn! I hated seeing him like this, and even more so if it was my fault. – Shoto, I'm sorry I didn't tell you – I took his cheek, but he wasn't looking at me. – Shoto, I'm really sorry – joining my forehead with his, continuing to caress his cheeks. Seeing him like this was my weakness.
– From the beginning you have been very close to him ... It would not be illogical to think that you lose track of things when you are together – Was he jealous of Kirishima?
– Shoto – this time I made sure he looked me in the eyes, intertwining one of our hands. – All day I could only think of you – it was tedious having to clarify my feelings, as if they weren't obvious to him. – You are the one who is in my thoughts at all times… And who I want to be with when you are not with me; I like you more than I ever thought possible ... – I said that without thinking, my subconscious got carried away.
Still impressed with my own clarification, my eyes only fixed on the shy smile he was hiding with his head down. I felt my eardrums throb in time with my heavy breathing and hot face. His pout led me to expose myself, and he just remained silent, leaving me devoid of arguments. – It won't happen again – and without warning, I approached him. I could feel his fingers adjust to mine as his lips took control. It was a shy and calm kiss. His breathing was consistent when it collided with mine. I was overwhelmed; Knowing that somehow only he belonged to, left me exposed.
How had he managed to render me defenseless with a simple touch? I had yielded to their authority and the opposite idea was absurd to me; now I belonged entirely to him.
I like to think that deep down Bakugou is very cute.
Fact # 42
In the story I wanted to expand on other aspects besides romance, such as friendship, heartbreak, heroism and other things, that's why I wanted to do a "retelling".
