Sensei

Sipping on the hot chocolate in her hands and watching as people moved down the sidewalk outside, Kagome waited. Her mind was awhirl with thoughts but mostly she was just excited to see an old friend again. On the table before her there were several folder files, all waiting to be examined. For the most part, she was confident in her work and the outcome but Kagome had always been taught to appreciate a second set of eyes. Who better than someone who had impacted her life so much?

When the doors opened and a gust of wind slithered through the crowded, warm coffee shop, she smiled. His aura, like his age, was immense. Setting her cup down, she stood as he approached and moved forward to hug him.

His old withered arms wrapped around her shoulders firmly and he smiled. "It does this old one good to hug a beautiful woman now and again, Higurashi-san," he said dryly, setting her away from him so he could look at her. "It is a blessing to see that my old eyes are still good for something!"

Kagome laughed and led him over to her table. "Bokusenou-sama, you joke too much," she said as they sat.

Bokusenou, still smiling, took a gentle sniff of the air and raised a brow as he patted her hand over the table. "Unless my nose deceives me my dear, congratulations are in order, yes?"

Unable to stop it, she blushed prettily and nodded slowly. "That's partly why I asked you here today, Sensei." Taking a deep breath and offering up a sad, determined smile, she told him everything.
