Sorry, just another buffer chapter here... but it leads into the next story arc (and it's quite different from what you'd expect based on how this one ends ;D)

Entry 39

Despite all that's happened in the past week, I've decided I'm still going to pursue my goal in bringing down a Night Fury. And I think I just might have an idea on how to do it.

You see, the reason no one has ever captured a Night Fury is because no one is fast enough. So each failure just leads to more training, trying to get the ability to throw a weapon as fast as a Night Fury flies. But here's the thing: that's IMPOSSIBLE. Based on everything I've heard about that dragon, a human literally cannot be fast enough, no matter how hard they try. Yet here are my people, always so boar headed, believing that they just need to keep trying to win a losing battle.

That's where my idea comes into play. Since it's physically impossible for a person to take down a Night Fury on their own, then a machine of some sort is NECESSARY. With the right amount of calibration, I'm certain I could make something that can throw better than even the best Vikings. And in the end, it doesn't even matter if it's not as fast as the dragon; if I aim at where the creature will be rather than where it is, surely I can figure out just how far ahead my shot needs to be.

I swear, sometimes I'm the only one around here with any common sense… we probably would have caught a Night Fury ages ago if people just sat down and thought about it for a second…

Until next time…
