The Bahamas did Sam and Jack a world of good. Parasailing together was the highlight of the trip they both decided on the flight home, the sex was a strong second. Sam was still giggling on the flight back home when he touched her, and Jack had a smiled that he couldn't seem to get rid of.

"Honeymoon couple?" The flight attendant asked.

"Not yet." Jack claimed.

"Well it looks like you had a nice time." She claimed.

"We certainly did." Jack claimed.

Sam slapped him in the arm. After the lady walked away.

"Ouch!" Jack wined.

"You didn't have to be so dramatic." Sam claimed.

"Well I certainly had good time with you Major." Jack stated.

"Well Colonel, I guess it was pretty good." Sam teased.

He kissed her lips and she leaned into him the 7 days felt like a blink of an eye, but she was happy to return home, they had 4 more days of vacation, and Jack had asked her to stay with him tonight.

They landed at 4 and got back to Jack's at 6. Elliott wasn't home.

"Must be working or out." Jack shrugged.

His mail was neatly sorted, and he opened the fridge to find it restocked with fresh foods.

He grabbed a beer out of the fridge and Sam pointed her nose up at it.

Jack took a drink and looked around his house, and it seemed that now was the happiest he can remember being in a very long time.

Sam next to him at the kitchen table, and he couldn't help but smile at her. The way she made him feel just being there was overwhelming. He finished the beer and grabbed a water for himself and Sam.

The two were trying to wind down, but Jack started a load of laundry a mix of both of theirs. Sam had put away the stuff of his that she knew where to place it. Soon enough most of his stuff was put away, and Jack had ordered pizza.

The pizza man came and Jack was a little curious where Elliott had been but then again, he wasn't freaked out by the fact at 8pm he still wasn't home.

It was 9 when the door opened and Sam and Jack smiled up at Elliott.

"Wow you guys are tan!" was the first words out of his mouth.

Jack smiled.

"Everything go okay here?" Jack asked.

"Well the house isn't falling down so." Elliot claimed.

"There is pizza in the fridge," Jack stated.

Elliot walked in and grabbed a slice and walked up to his room.

"Glad you're back, have a good night." and he closed his bedroom door.

Sam and Jack smiled at each other, and watched some TV before going to bed their self.

Sam woke up the next morning, and planned to leave without breakfast, but Elliott was awake making waffles and insisted Sam sit and eat as he had made enough batter for the three of them.

She couldn't say no, and Elliott mixed some bananas and a little bit of maple syrup and smeared it over top of her waffle.

"Where's Jack?" Elliott asked.

"Still asleep. I was hoping to sneak out of here early." Sam explained.

"Everything okay? Elliott asked in a semi-panic.

"Yes, I everything's fine, Jack's just very persuasive and if he keeps me here today, I'm not going to get anything done." Sam claimed.

Elliott smiled.

"Leave your stuff, Jack will wash it if you do, and then come back later when your done. I'll tell him." Elliott claimed.

Sam bit her lip.

"Go!" Elliott claimed.

She took the last bite and grabbed her purse and headed off. She should have really taken her stuff, but she didn't want to risk Jack waking up in the mean time.

She drove off back to her home, knowing by the time the afternoon came she'd be back to his house.

Jack came down the steps about 10 minutes later.

"Where's Sam?" Jack asked.

"She said she was really busy today and wanted to get some stuff done around the house but will be back later." Elliott explained.

Jack visabily frowned.

"I told her you'd do her laundry." Elliott claimed.

"Why on earth would you do that?" Jack asked.

"Well I figure she hasn't been home in a while and she feels like she needs to make sure it's all in one piece and you're the one who made her pack the least you can do is clean the clothes." Elliott explained.

Jack thought it was a semi-fair point, it be much easier if she just lived there though, but he didn't want to rush anything even though they had been talking about babies…

Jack grumbled and picked her clothes up in a heap, and thew them in the washer, taking his and her's out of the dryer from the night prior and folding them until his waffles were done.

"Some times I wonder who the adult is here." Jack claimed.

"Yeah well, I got to get to school, so I think we know the answer to that." Elliott claimed.

"Have a good day." Jack said and Elliot walked out the door.

Sam saw her home just sitting there, she didn't think it would have disappeared or anything but it just reminded her that it was a physical separation from Jack. She grabbed her pile of mail, and walked inside. She flicked on the bright lights of the kitchen and looked around the place, it felt like she was in one of those model homes they used for per-fabricated houses. She wasn't sure if she wanted to try to make it more homey or just let it go. It was nice to be just by herself and reflect on the past week. She couldn't believe how bold Jack had been touching her in the Ocean. She couldn't forget a few days later when they had sex out on the balcony. The stars were easy to see, and they had even found a place and bought a cheap telescope, and looked at the night sky. Sam found out that Jack was afraid of birds after a trip to the botanical garden. There was walk in area to feed parrots and other birds and at first Jack acted like it was no big deal and then he flung one off his wrist when it landed on him. He was so uncomfortable but he was doing it for her. The man took multiple pictures and she was sure the look on his face was priceless.

Sam sat on her couch and daydreamed for quite a while. She knew she needed to go back to Jacks but she decided to take a bubble bath something she enjoyed and hadn't gotten to do, in the shower only room they had.

It was pushing 2pm and Sam had figured she had spent enough time at home, and went back to Jack's house.

She was shocked to see all her clothes neatly folded back in her suit case. Jack had pulled some stuff for sandwiches and Jack asked if she had lunch. Jack stacks 100 different things when she is handed her meal she laughs at the cartoon size of it.

Sam ate the huge sandwich and looked around to see Jack had already put away all his stuff. He had put a large sea shell they found washed upon the shore on the table. She reached out her hands and ran her fingers along it's edge.

"Thinking about next time?" Jack asked.

"Next time?" Sam asked.

"When ever you want." Jack claimed.

Sam smirked.

"So 3 more days, any other surprises?" Sam asked.

"I might have one or two up my sleeve." Jack stated.

Sam laughed.

"Really like what?" Sam asked.

"Mmm, hard to say." Jack stated.

"I think I can get it out of you." Sam claimed walking over to him and kissing him hard.

"Oh no," Jack claimed.

"Mmm not giving it away that easily." Jack stated.

Sam smiled.

"Okay." and let it go.

"Wait, just okay?" Jack claimed.

"Yep." Sam said and popped her P.

Jack looked a little disappointed but Sam just walked away.

Jack had the ring in his pocket, he had been putting stuff away and found it in the drawer. It wasn't in a box it hung loose at the bottom of the drawer and he snatched it up.

"Sam?" Jack asked nervously.

She looked at him and knew something was up.

"What?" Sam asked.

"If this is all too sudden…" Jack trailed off.

Sam's heart pounded, was he having second thoughts after the trip? Was he telling her it was working, she frowned and waited for the other shoe to drop.

"I'm sorry what?" Sam asked.

"Look I know we've been talking, and you want a baby and I want a baby but…" he trailed off again.

Sam felt the tears prick her eyes, but she took a deep breath in and held them.

"I want to do this right, well at least the semi right order… Samantha Carter, will you marry me?" Jack asked.

Sam looked at him like he'd gone crazy he had his signature smirk and ring held out to her. She looked down and saw an antique ring, that was flat, something she could wear in the office and not get snagged. It was a little different but beautiful The white gold band had filigree and a bright diamond in the middle.

"Jack?" Sam whispered.

"Is it too much?" Jack asked.

Sam shook her head no and stuck her hand out so he could put the ring on her finger. She hugged him and held him tight and let the tears fall for entirely new reason.

"I love you." Jack whispered.

"I love you too." Sam said and kissed his lips.

He picked her up and spun her around.

"So when are we announcing this?" Sam asked. Staring at the ring on her finger.

"When ever you want." Jack claimed.

How about Friday night,." Sam claimed.

"What ever you want." Jack claimed.

Sam smiled brightly she had no clue that Jack O'Neill would propose to her. She hoped one day, but it wasn't today. She was beyond excited but she couldn't believe it. He really wanted her forever and it made her heart hurt in the best way possible.
