Days Later

It had been days since the therapy session had taken place and Brooke and Lucas were still reeling from it in their own ways. Brooke threw herself into her fashion and designing while Lucas focused on the Cafe. But during one of their more recent quiet lunches the pair knew it couldn't go on like this.

"I think we need to hold off on telling any of the children about our new relationship. It's too early to know for sure where it's going. And another break up could affect them even more then the other changes have." Brooke said.

"I agree until there is something to tell we should keep our relationship status private. And we aren't breaking up again." Lucas confirmed.

"Do you see into the future and forgot to mention that to me.?" She joked. The two were seated beside each other at the cafe.

It was basically empty. The lunch rush already come and gone.

"No i don't. But we know each other and we have know that entering into a relationship at this point in our life with our kids involved makes the stakes that much higher. If we didn't have a clear vision of the future that we shared. We wouldn't be dating at all." Lucas replied.

"You are right about that. And this time around there is no one objecting or against our relationship we can just let life happen and that's comforting and freeing in alot of ways." Brooke said.

"I've been looking at houses. I know you have too. But we haven't actually agreed on a price to stick too." Lucas said.

"Luke money is pouring out of my pore. I have more money then i will ever need. I'll get the house. You don't need to stress over a budget." Brooke said.

"See that's where you're wrong. We are supposed to buy this house together. We only just started dating. You buying the house on you're own means you hold all the control. If we were married this wouldn't be an issue both our names would go down on the needed papers. Most people live in the world with a budget." Lucas replied.

"So because i have money i'm unable to relate to reality.?" She asked her.

"I didn't say that. I think it's important that my kids especially don't get swept into you're world. Hard work and being responsible for you're choices and getting the results you want has it's own rewards. You don't get that if everything is handed to you." Lucas stated.

"We should table this issue for now. We have Theo's basketball game tonight and Lilly's going to cheer. Should be a fun night." Brooke said.

"It will be i just need to double check the schedule to see if Jack is working here this week or not. He's saving up for a car." Lucas informed her.

"We were worried he wouldn't adjust well. He's working here part time. He's doing incredible in school. Maybe all along he just needed to know he wasn't alone." Brooke said.
