A/N: Thank you for the comments. Sorry it has been awhile - I am struggling to get into the swing of writing at the moment.

Jennifer Baratta - Thanks!

Guest (1) - That decision kind of felt inevitable

Guest (2) - Thanks! I agree S1 was the best. I hope the final season goes back to its roots.

"Have you been banned from interrogations?" Lena asked when she entered Kara's apartment with Sam and saw Alex's dark demeanor.

"No. Not yet, but he is probably holding that up his sleeve." Alex said miserably.

"The he being the shrink?" Sam guessed.

"She barely knows you and even she knows you are obsessed with him." Maggie pointed out.

"I am not obsessed with him. But I am focused on proving he is a fraud." Alex replied.

"So what has he done?" Sam asked.

"Passed the physical." Alex said miserably.

"So you are not fired then?" Lena asked.

"No. But now I have to see him." Alex replied.

"I'm really lost." Sam said.

"That's a far better place to be." Maggie said. "Ignorant and happy is better than knowing and despairing."

"The shrink had to pass his physical to work with them." Lena said. "Alex was told to train him and if he didn't pass she would be fired. But while he has been training Alex has managed to avoid sessions. But now she'll have to see him again."

"Right." Sam said still not completely following the saga.

"So tomorrow I get to sit and listen why he tells me what a terrible human being I am." Alex went on.

"I am pretty sure that isn't what he says." Maggie argued.

"Can't you just ask for a different shrink?" Sam asked.

"He has been subbed out." Lena pointed out. "They still couldn't find one they liked."

"Because I don't need a shrink." Alex said downing her beer as Lena and Maggie kept silent. Seeing the look Maggie was giving her she added. "I don't."

As her response was once again met by silence Sam asked. "Where's Kara?"

"Something came up at work." Alex said. "She'll be back soon. In the mean time we have beer, if you are drinking tonight."

"Ruby is spending the night with some friends so no constraints tonight." Sam smiled taking a bottle.

"And seeing Sam finally gets a night off how about we leave the Landon baggage at the door?" Maggie suggested.

"Fine." Alex said choosing to scheme in silence instead.

"Good afternoon." Landon greeted.

"Hi. Wow, how much time have you spent in the gym?" Kara asked when she saw how muscular he was looking.

"Ask your sister." Landon replied.

"Now I know what your backup career should be." Kara commented to Alex.

"Alex the personal trainer is a scary prospect." Landon commented as he waved to the couch where Alex and Kara sat down.

"Now I am fully cleared you will be pleased to hear these sessions will go back to our weekly regular sessions."

"Can't wait." Alex said dryly.

"Would you like to discuss your enthusiasm today?" Landon asked.

"Nope." Alex responded.

"Fair enough. Then why don't we talk about Supergirl's position in the city." He suggested.

"What position?" Alex asked.

"Hero for humans but not aliens."

"What?" Alex asked.

"They are your sister's words not mine." Landon added, sensing Alex was about to become more aggressive than normal.

"What?" Alex repeated causing Landon pull a copy of CatCo magazine from his desk and hand it to Alex who started to read the article.

As she read the article Landon looked at Kara and said. "That was quite a hatchet job you did on Supergirl and seeing as she is you, that is quite number you did on yourself. Regardless of your feelings towards me and therapy it is an indication that you need to talk."

When Kara didn't say anything he said. "Okay, let me start. Up until know you thought that you could be a beacon of hope for everyone. Sure there are your Maxwell Lords and Morgan Edges out there, but apart from that, why wouldn't you appeal to everyone? I mean you are an alien so the aliens love you and you help humans so humans will like you. Only, you recently figured out that the world wasn't like that and aliens and humans dislike you, probably for the same reason, you aren't one of them."

"That's ridiculous." Alex said having skimmed the article.

"Is it? Technically she isn't human. She is Kryptonian. Those aliens aren't." He pointed out.

"So?"

"The thing that unites every living thing is the ability to see the differences, no matter how accurate or artificial they are. But you are smart you know this. So that leads us back to the hatchet job you did on yourself. If you can write all those thoughts down and share them with the world, why can't you share them with me or Alex or J'onn?"

"Technically I have. I mean as you said the article is out there." Kara said.

"While true, it would be better to talk to someone. Anyone."

"Or you could just tell me what I am doing wrong." Kara replied with no hint of sarcasm.

"What?" Landon and Alex responded in unusual harmony.

"You could tell me what I'm doing wrong?"

"That isn't what therapy is about." Landon said.

"Should you tell yourself that?" Alex asked. "I mean you are normally pretty vocal with your criticism."

"My job is to help you understand how and why you act the way you do and to accept yourself. Asking probing questions is part of that. But I can't tell you how to act."

"Again, I think you should tell yourself that." Alex said. "Or maybe write a memo and pin it up in the break room."

"You're right." Landon said.

"I am?" Alex asked suspiciously.

"Maybe it is time I adapt my methods to fit you better. Kara likes writing, so how about from now on Kara you bring a written critique of your thoughts."

"You want Kara to keep a diary and they you want to read it?" Alex asked.

"Not exactly, but seeing Kara is happy to highlight issues with Supergirl and share it with the world I don't see how this is any different. If you want, and Kara is happy with it, you can read it first."

"Okay." Alex said.

"Okay?" Landon asked surprised.

"Okay." Alex confirmed. "But seeing you are giving us homework I think we should call it a day so we can work on it."

"Um, okay." He said confused.

"Great." Alex said standing before looking at Kara who also stood before walking out.

-00-

"What was that?" Alex asked.

"What was what?" Kara countered.

"Don't give me that. Let's start with the article."

"It's my job."

"No it's not."

"Yes it is. When Cat was here she did it, now she isn't someone needs to. Who better to do it than me?"

"Someone who isn't you. If you want a hatchet job done ask Morgan Edge or General Lane. Don't do it yourself. And if you want some one to give you constructive feedback ask Maggie."

"Kara, why aren't you in therapy. Actually forget that, we need Supergirl." J'onn said as he approached them.

"We'll finish this later." Alex called as Kara disappeared.

-00-

"What's wrong?" Maggie asked.

"I'm worried about Kara."

"Why?" Maggie asked. In response Alex passed her a copy of CatCo Magazine.

As she read the headline she said. "Didn't Cat Grant write stories like this all the time?"

"She did." Alex said.

"Then what's the issue?"

"Read the byline." Alex instructed.

"Okay, that's a little messed up." Maggie said before reading the article. "But she's not wrong." As she looked up and saw Alex's scowl she added. "But she probably shouldn't be writing it herself."

"It looks like Kara has finally started listening to you." Lena commented as she entered the apartment.

"How could you let this happen?" Alex asked.

"How is it my fault?"

"You own CatCo." Alex said.

"And James choses what to publish. And it is a good story and shows that CatCo is balanced. It also stops Kara looking like cheer leader for all aliens and puts distance between her and Supergirl. All of which are good. In the end all she has done is committed Maggie's words to print."

"They aren't my words. Well not all of them." Maggie said. "And if they cause Supergirl to think once every so often every one wins." She paused and added. "When she was on the street with me and saw things that really shook her, maybe this is her way of dealing with it."

"Plus Cat told her she need to be held to account. Maybe that is that she is doing." Lena said.

"What did Kara actually say about it?" Maggie asked.

"Nothing really. She was pretty quiet in therapy then ran off to an emergency." Alex said.

"Hey guys." Kara said flying into her apartment. "Is everyone helping?"

"Helping with what?" Maggie asked confused.

"My assignment."

"What assignment?" Lena asked.

"The one Landon assigned me."

"Landon gave you homework and you are actually doing it?" Maggie asked confused.

"Alex wants to." Kara replied.

"I am so lost right now." Lena admitted.

"Landon wants Kara to write her thoughts down and we will discuss next week." Alex explained.

"And you want her to do this?" Lena questioned.

"Yes, because we are going to come up with some thoughts to trap Landon." Alex said.

"Hold that thought. Got to go." Kara said jumping from the window having heard a siren.

"So Kara writes an article lashing out at Supergirl, you are concerned that it is because she is messed up, Landon is concerned and wants to help, but you are going to use that opportunity to trap him?" Maggie asked.

"I'm amazed you still need to ask." Lena commented.

"Shouldn't you use this as a way of helping Kara?" Maggie pressed on.

"Landon won't help Kara. He will use this as a way of breaking her." Alex countered. "Kara doesn't need Landon, she needs support."

"Why are you looking at me?" Maggie asked.

"Well…." Alex started before looking at Lena who rolled her eyes and said.

"You can be a little blunt."

"Well subtle doesn't work." Maggie countered. "I don't criticise Supergirl to be mean, I do it to help."

"That's what my mother and Lex used to say." Lena reminisced.
