A/N: Thank you for the comments. Sorry it has taken so long, I was really struggling with the next chapter. But last night when I went back to check what I had previously done I realised I had forgotten to post this one.
Guest - Thanks.
Jennifer Baratta -Thank you, I am glad you are still enjoying it.
"Have you lost your mind?" Alex asked when she entered her apartment.
"I'm starting to believe that." Maggie commented before adding. "Why?"
"Sponsoring Kara to join the police?"
"Wait. What? I haven't done that. Where did you hear that?"
"Lena."
"That…. What exactly did Lena say?"
"That you inspired a new Supergirl PR stunt."
"And you believed her?"
"Not at first, but then Kara confirmed she was pursuing it because of you. I thought you wanted Supergirl to stay away from the police, not join them."
"I want her to work with the police and within the law." Maggie corrected. "But that doesn't mean I think she should just be given a badge. Is Kara deliberately misunderstanding?" Maggie asked.
"To upset you?" Alex asked.
"Yes."
"Why bother? You get upset when Kara interferes with an investigation." Alex pointed out. "And she did seem really excited."
"Well she is your sister, so un-excite her."
"That would be like kicking a puppy. I'm not doing that." Alex said.
"I so need to learn Kara's pout." Maggie muttered.

"Hey, can I have a word?" Alex asked as she entered J'onn's office.
"Of course. Shut the door." J'onn instructed. "Is this about Kara?"
"Yes." Alex agreed.
"I thought so. That article made for painful reading. Has she talked about it?"
"She said she was channeling her inner Cat."
"For all our sakes I hope she doesn't have an inner Cat." J'onn said before asking. "Are you going to tell me the article is proof therapy isn't working?"
"I wasn't, but that is a good point." Alex said. "Any seeing you thought of it, that must mean you think it isn't working."
"That's not what I said. So why are you here?"
"Landon suggested Kara should start writing her thoughts down."
"Hasn't that ship sailed?" J'onn asked confused. "I mean I assume Landon has seen the article."
"He has. But I meant to discuss in therapy."
"Makes sense. But you don't like this idea?"
"Not when Kara is fragile enough to write that article. If Landon goes for her like he normally does I'm not sure how she would take it. So I want you to take Kara's place, just for the next session."
"Let me get this straight, Landon wanted Kara to write her thoughts down and she has, but you don't want Kara discussing them with him, instead you want me to go as Kara?" J'onn asked.
"Kind of. Yes."
"Because you think Landon will use this as an opportunity to break Kara?" J'onn guessed.
"Yes." Alex confirmed.
"So, you want him to break me instead?" J'onn asked.
"Of course not. But you don't suffer the same issues that Kara does."
"Don't you think you are being paranoid?"
"You read the article she wrote."
"I did."
"And you were concerned."
"I was. And that is why I think she should be taking therapy seriously."
"Which she is. She'll write things down like Landon asked. If you go to the next session and it's fine, next time Kara will go."
"Is Kara okay with this plan?" J'onn asked.
"She will be."
"If Kara tells me that I'll go." J'onn agreed.
"Thank you." Alex smiled.

"You need to write your thoughts down." Alex said handing Kara paper and a pen.
"Why? I thought you and Lena were doing something."
"No, you are."
"Why is it I have to bare my soul but you don't?" Kara asked.
"Because you already have with that article." Alex shrugged. "Plus you already keep a diary."
"Which I don't share with anyone."
"Technically not true." Alex pointed out.
"You reading it without my permission when we were growing up is not the same as me choosing to share it with you." Kara countered.
"You were the one who left it lying around." Alex shrugged. "And it not like you ever respected any of my boundaries."
"Eliza said there was no boundaries in a family." Kara countered.
"She lied." Alex shot back. "Anyway you need to start writing."
"Even if I wanted to, which I don't, I have so much to do."
"And that is why you don't have to go to therapy." Alex said dangling the carrot.
"I don't?" Kara asked.
"No. Write your thoughts down and J'onn will go as you."
"He will?"
"He will."
"Does he know?" Kara asked.
"Of course he does."
"All I have to do is write. No one will make me talk?"
"Yes."
"Okay then, give me that paper." Kara said.
"You're okay with it now?"
"Writing my thoughts down is fine, talking about them not so much. So if I don't actually have to talk it's fine." Kara said as she scribbled notes down before handing it to Alex.
"This is what you are going with?" Alex asked frowning.
"You didn't want the truth?" Kara asked.
"I did, but I'm slightly worried."
"I'm fine. And you said I didn't need to talk about it, with anyone." Kara said.
"With Landon." Alex corrected.
"You said no one will make me talk." Kara countered as her phone buzzed. "It's the DEO. I have to go."
-00-
"Here you go." 'Kara' said handing Landon some paper.
"You wrote your thoughts down?" Landon asked surprised.
"You told me to."
"True, but that rarely means you do it." He pointed out as he sat down and read the notes. As he did he glanced at Alex and asked. "I assume you read these?"
"Yes."
"And what did you think?" He asked.
"Shouldn't you be discussing that with Kara? I mean isn't that the point?"
"Kara has written her thoughts down in a very detailed way, with a lot of reflection, showing that she is far better at processing than I gave her credit for. However, I assume that you are as shocked and concerned reading this as you were the article. So I think the time would be better spent thinking about your reactions."
"You are turning this on me?" Alex asked seeing her careful plan going out of the window.
"I am focusing this session on you." Landon said. "You have so far shown no ability to process and reflect, unlike Kara."
"So you are saying Kara is better at therapy than I am?" Alex asked.
"It's not a competition." Landon said. "But Kara is definitely working harder than you are."
"I assure you I work harder than anyone."
"You work hard at trying to get out of therapy. That's not the same." Landon said. "And you are demonstrating that perfectly now by dodging my questions."
-00-
"How was the seminar?" Alex asked.
"Boring. How was therapy?"
"Annoying."
"So am I screwed up?" Kara asked.
"Always."
"Did Landon say that?"
"No. In fact he praised you for your ability to process and reflect."
"He praised me and I wasn't there?" Kara asked disappointed. "Wait, do you think he knew that, and that is why he did it?"
"I didn't, but that is a good point." Alex said.
"So what else did he say?"
"He was more concerned with me." Alex said.
"What did you do?"
"What didn't I do? I don't reflect or process. You are far better at therapy than I am. Followed by I try to make everything a competition." Alex listed. "The whole thing is exhausting. I came out feeling like I had been in a conflict zone."
"A conflict zone?" Kara asked getting an idea.
"Yes." Alex agreed.
"Don't worry, I will be with you next time." Kara said.
"You sound far too happy about that." Alex countered suspiciously.
"Well we are always better together."
"That is true." Alex agreed.
"Anyway, I should go."
"Already?"
"I need to think about our next session."
"You do?" Alex asked.
"Absolutely. Say hi to Maggie for me."
-00-
"What's the emergency?" Lena asked entering Kara's apartment awhile later.
"I don't get it." Kara said.
"Get what?" Lena asked.
"The point of the course. I mean I can't figure out how to use it."
"Are you arguing with someone in the office?" Lena asked.
"No."
"So this is a pre-emptive use?"
"No. Not exactly. I want to use it."
"In the office?"
"No."
"As Supergirl?"
"Yes, no. I mean not exactly. It is too soon for that."
"So how are you going to practice?"
"I want to use it in therapy. I will bring peace between Landon and Alex."
"What?" Lena asked.
"Why do you sound so surprised? You suggested it could be useful for that." Kara said.
"To get you to go to the seminar." Lena explained.
"Regardless, I will put what I have learned into practice during therapy."
"I thought you thought Landon worked for Cadmus?" Lena said.
"I do."
"Then why do you want Alex to like him?"
"I don't. But if I can get them seeing eye to eye, even for a minute, imagine what I can do in a hostage situation or a robbery."
"Don't you usually just beat up the bad guy?"
"Not always, the time I lost my powers I talked the guy down."
"Well I admire your resolve, but I am not sure a corporate course on Conflict Management will bring peace between Alex and, well anyone, let alone Landon."
"Which is why there is negotiator training." Kara said.
"And failing that phycology degrees." Lena added.
"That's true, but not even I will be able to do CatCo, Supergirl and a degree."
"On that point, technically you aren't doing CatCo right now. You are now up to three articles owed. Including your recent riding with a cop article."
"I know. I'm sorry. I'm working on it." Kara said. "But in my defence, if I hadn't gone to the HR seminar I would have written one of them by now. Probably."
