A/N: This is not The Tales of version of Percy Jackson and the Greek Gods or Percy Jackson and the Greek Heroes, but rather The Tales of version of a book I got of Greek and Roman Mythology I got in Rome Italy. The settings will be after 'The Tales of the Heroes of Olympus: The Blood of Olympus' so please read that before getting in this story. Think of this story as something to pass by until The Trials of Apollo books.
Aglaurus
You think a daughter of the first king of Athens would have more details on her than her daughter, but unfortunately that's not the case.
First Aglaurus was the daughter of Actaeus and he was indeed the first king of Athens, and his wife of Cecrops by whom she had Erysichthon, Aglaurus, Herse, and Pandrosus.
That's it. That's all there is on the mother.
But I guess the fact her daughter as named after her made her worth mentioning.
Her daughter Aglaurus was loved by Ares, by whom she had Alcippe. Later in her life, Aglaurus had gone mad and threw herself off the Athenian Acopolis. Other stories say she didn't go mad but rather was jealous of her sister Herse, who was loved by Hermes.
I guess Hermes took pity on her, because after her suicide he changed her into a stone statue.
Well, I guess being turned into a stone statue is a change of pace compare to other pity stories where the gods turn someone into birds, but I been to Medusa's lair, and I don't see how being a stone statue and I also had friends who seen victims of the Golden touch of King Midas (a couple of them becoming temporary victims themselves), and I think we all would agree that being a stone statue can't be any better than being turned into a bird.
Next is a minor god who reveal himself once in Ancient Greek stories, but again, it's my duty to mention.
