The account stuff has been fixed, I got in touch with support and told them what was going on and they tracked down the account that mine was mixed up with and separated them. It was a glitch I guess, something with their servers.
Tess's POV
Ashe went on and on about their little party last night and how fun it was. Elijah never said a word. I handed him a bottle of water hoping it might help his recovery. As much as I teased him, I still wanted him to feel better. I hoped he wasn't going to be too grumpy today.
"I have a question," I said when Ashe was done. "EJ said last night that he has his own house?"
"I did?" Elijah looked surprised.
Ashe smirked, "He's probably talking about my place. It was our parents house, they technically left it to Elijah but he bailed so I got it."
"Bring that up every chance you get," Elijah mumbled under his breath.
"It's right here," Ashe turned and opened a wooden gate.
The yard was small but well kept. Elijah held the front door open for us since Ashe and my hands were full of clothes. I kind of expected the house to be well kept too but I was proven wrong. Everything was messy.
"I'm sorry," she looked embarrassed. "I told him to clean up last night."
"Him?" I asked. "You said you weren't seeing anyone I thought."
Ashe set the clothes down on the kitchen table and gestured for me to do it too.
"Just because I'm not now doesn't mean I haven't had relationships before," she said then shouted. "Jacob!"
"What?!" A voice shouted from another room.
I glanced over at Elijah who's interest was peaked. Jacob walked into the kitchen, he was probably between 10 and 12 years old.
"Meet your Uncle Elijah," Ashe said then added quietly. "Before I kill you for not cleaning up like I told you to."
"Uh hi," he looked Elijah over.
Elijah stared at him then at Ashe.
"I had a nephew you weren't telling me about?"
Ashe shrugged and dodged the question, "Tess would you help me bring this to the laundry room?"
I nodded and we picked the clothes back up. I followed her across the house to the laundry room. We dropped the clothes on the floor of the laundry room and started sorting them into piles.
"What else do you need done today?" She asked. "We can do some stuff tomorrow too, I don't want you pushing yourself too hard."
I rolled my eyes smiling, "You're not dodging his question for long you know. He's going to want to know why he wasn't told sooner."
"I don't see why its any of his business," Ashe shrugged.
I shifted the subject a little to avoid any arguing, "So does he have magic like EJ and your father?"
Ashe shook her head, "Sadly no, Rich's family didn't ever get into the magic thing so Jacob didn't get any. Its passed down by gender, witches give it to their daughters, warlocks give it to their sons."
"Yeah how did that all start?" I asked curiously. "Werewolves usually stay away from magic."
"It was my great grandmother's idea actually," Ashe said. "When she became Alpha, she proposed integrating werewolf blood and magic blood to make a superior stronger pack. She and other werewolves found magical partners but not everyone agreed with it so it didn't take hold like she hoped. so the magic is slowly working its way out of the pack."
"Fascinating," I said then what she said before finally hit me. "Wait did you say Rich? The blacksmith?"
"I was wondering if you caught that. Don't tell Elijah though, he'll kill Richard," she winked.
Ashe picked up one of the piles of clothes and set them in the washer.
"Why didn't you stay together? If you don't mind me asking."
Ashe shrugged as she added detergent, "It just wasn't right. I liked him but he wasn't the one, you know?"
I nodded, "Does your son know? Sorry if I'm asking too many questions."
Ashe chuckled, "Yes he does and I think its good for him. Jacob gets to see that mates aren't everything. You can find love and happiness and support without mates. That his life doesn't need to revolve around finding the one. And I don't mind the questions at all Tess, its nice actually. You're genuinely interested, no secret ulterior motive or criticism or anything." She paused then added. "You're perfect for Elijah. He needs that genuine love and support. Lord knows he doesn't get it from me."
"That was a bit of a sour move you pulled with Chloe," I nodded.
"That's what sisters do," she hit the start button. "Lets go see how the boys are doing."
I followed her back to the kitchen. To my surprise, Elijah and Jacob were chatting and laughing at the table. Ashe glanced at me, sharing my look of surprise.
"Mom," Jacob said. "Can Uncle Elijah and I play video games?"
Ashe crossed her arms, "Is your schoolwork done?"
He nodded.
"Then yes, but you're cleaning up these counters tonight as soon as he leaves. I told you to clean them yesterday."
He jumped up and ran to the living room. Elijah didn't look that excited until he saw the gamecube controller come out of the drawer.
"Oh you're on kid," he smiled.
"I think Jacob is a hangover cure," I said softly to Ashe. She laughed as Elijah subtly flipped me off without Jacob seeing.
Her son glanced up, hearing what I said too.
"Is that why you're wearing sunglasses inside like a weirdo?" He asked Elijah.
"Jacob!" Ashe snapped. "I've told you not to call people that!"
Chloe's POV
"Where's Emma?" I asked, realizing she wasn't around.
Derek sat next to me on the bed, letting me lean against him a little for support. Jeremy sat by the foot of the bed.
"She went looking for Tess and Elijah, we were really starting to get worried," Jeremy answered.
"You should probably text her that everything's ok," I suggested with a yawn.
Jeremy nodded and pulled out his phone. A moment later the breakfast table vibrated quietly, Emma had left her phone sitting there.
"Umm," Jeremy bit his lip thinking. "I guess we wait then. I hope she doesn't freak them out too much."
I looked at Derek, "Can we go looking for her? Or is it better to wait for her to get back?"
Derek looked surprised at me asking for permission to go find her.
"Why are you asking me?"
"I figured you'd argue with me and want me to stay and rest," I teased.
Derek smiled and shook his head, "Chloe you traveled across the country outside of your body, single handedly took on demons, and pulled Matt out of another universe. I don't think I have the right to tell the all powerful Chloe what to do. Just promise me you'll take it easy if we go looking for Emma."
"I promise," I nodded.
I moved to get off the bed when Jeremy said, "You might want to get changed first."
I looked down, my clothes were still soaking wet from the water. I grabbed my bag and dug around for any clothes. Tess had all of them except a few pairs of socks.
"I'll be fine," I waved it off and set my bag down.
Jeremy snatched his bag and started looking through it. Derek growled protectively knowing he was about to offer me a dry shirt. He pulled out a long sleeve black V-neck and tossed it to me.
"Oh relax Derek it's just a shirt. She's more my size than yours."
I walked to the bathroom and shut the door, hoping those two wouldn't bicker too much while I was gone. I peeled my wet shirt off and dropped it onto the floor. Ew my bra was wet too, not much I could do about that though.
I felt a wet sensation in my nose and looked up at the mirror in time to see a little bit of blood coming out of it. Crap. I quickly stuffed tissues up my nose and put Jeremy's shirt on. He was right, it fit me better than a shirt of Derek's would. Jeremy's shirt was just slightly baggy on me.
When I stepped back out of the bathroom, Derek noticed the tissues right away.
"It's just a little nosebleed," I said before he could question. "I'm fine. I feel just fine. It doesn't hurt."
He looked hesitant as we started walking towards the door but didn't say anything. I think he was trying to trust my judgement or something, which I appreciated.
We stepped outside and Derek immediately put himself between Jeremy and I as we walked. I mentally groaned, were they were going to start fighting for dominance again?
