AN: Back to Merlin now. Just adding to the Xenos arc. I missed a day so hopefully, I can get this out quick enough to make up for it.
ghost777:- Nah I didn't want to go down that path. I will create something else for the pleasure district instead, something unexpected.
ShadoWARmadaN:- I thought about that as well but then decided against it because I wanted a story that wasn't going to end up with countless orgies, although that would've been funny in its own way.
casablanca1317:- Ironically it is all for the story!
Phantom Thief of Hearts:- Yep! The rare reverse harem. I set this scene up from all the way back when Scathach ought Ottar, to harem clues such as Archer's all Artoria harem LOL! Medusa's eyeband is Breaker Gorgon from any of the FSN will do. The important aspects I want to keep is her Dark Temple and her Mystic Eyes of Petrification.
Onishin Tsukitenshi:- LOL! Of course, the public have a right to know! Hestia familia will dob on itself! Such is the craziness of Hestia familia!
AzureKaiser:- To be honest, still undecided yet but I know that there could be so many potential waifu's for him.

Fate Grand Disorder
Chapter 47 – Negotiations
Caster Merlin, Magus of Flowers looked around the hidden village, shaped like an amphitheater as he found a seat. The Xenos watched him suspiciously as they sat around the theatre but they were all curious as to how their most powerful member Avenger Gorgon knew him. Their actions around each other spoke of familiarity.
The first thing Gorgon did when they were finally settled was to turn to the vouire and asked her, "What is your name, little girl?"
The girl seemed a little nervous as if she were unused to speaking as she answered, "I…I don't… have a name."
Avenger tilted her head before a smile formed on her lips, "Then I shall name you, Wiener… because you're so small."
Merlin laughed out loud at this, "Hahahaha! Wiener indeed!" He shook his head in disapproval, "That is just too cruel Avenger!"
"But it fits." Avenger crossed her arms.
"How about we call her Wiene instead, pronounced with a 'V'." Merlin smiled at the girl, "How about it little Wiene? It sounds cute doesn't it?"
The girl whispered the word to herself as if tasting it for the first time and she found she liked it, "Wiene…"
"Fine… Whatever." Gorgon had more important things on her mind, "So, what are you here for?"
"This place is so dreary." Merlin looked around ignoring Gorgon's question. With a slight raise of his staff, flowers started blooming all around the hall to the amazement of the Xenos, many of whom didn't even know what a flower was. "Much better now. Like this, we can receive guests."
Avenger grunted, "Fels, I recognise your stench anywhere. Come out, I highly doubt Caster didn't already know you were here."
"I… I apologize." A dark hooded figure stepped out from the shadows. "I had… thought to observe. I apologize but I was merely being cautious until I understand your intentions."
"A cautious man is a wise man." Merlin merely waved away his concern. "I'm just here to find out what it is the Xenos truly want and what Ouranus has in store for them." He was blunt and to the point.
"Forgive me for asking but… Caster? Is she not your captain? Another Hestian title perhaps?" The wraith was obviously looking for more information.
"Like you didn't already know." Merlin laughed, "She's Caster Leonardo Da Vinci and I'm Caster Merlin." The legends didn't matter to him, they didn't exist or exist in the same way here in Orario. No one would know. "So what is your relationship with the Xenos….Oh, foolish philosopher?"
Fels was momentarily shocked. Regaining his composure he answered Merlin carefully, "I have been giving aid in the way of food and weapons to the Xenos."
"So what does Ouranus hope to achieve from doing this?" Merlin wasn't pulling any punches.
"You're well informed…" Fels could only utter.
"Are you so surprised?" Merlin raised a casual eye at him.
"I suppose nothing from Hestia familia should surprise me anymore." Fels shook his head, "I suppose if you know this much it should be safe to tell you. My lord Ouranus wants to be able to coexist with the Xenos. Living peacefully with all the people above."
"How noble." Merlin smirked, "So Ganesha is in on this too huh?"
"Ganesha?" Fels said he wouldn't be surprised anymore but yet again he was speechless.
"Monsterphilia… Monster taming, really…" Merlin continued, "That's such a short-sighted solution. No true equality there."
"Equality? With us monsters?" It was the scaret lizardman who spoke up in surprise.
"Did you think we were any lesser than those pathetic meat sacks called humans?" Gorgon growled, "They should be honored if 'WE' considered them 'OUR' equals."
"Now now Avenger," Merlin soothed, "No discrimination remember."
Avenger huffed. It was something she had promised Ritsuka a long time ago when she had been summoned by her master to Chaldea. In truth, she had gotten used to hanging around humans and they weren't all bad, although for some reason Mash always seemed to get on her nerves, especially when she was acting all girly-girly around her master. Merlin turned his attention to the rest of the Xenos, "Then what is it you all truly want? What is it you desire for yourselves that you would align yourself with Ouranus against the will of the dungeon?"
Fels was about to complain, argue that Ouranus had truly wanted to help the Xenos but he didn't get a word out before the Xenos interrupted him. "I want to be able to fly freely under the blue endless sky." A red-feathered harpy named Fear answered out loud.
"I want to see the great ball of red rise and fall every day." Another voice called out.
"I want to live happily on the surface breathing fresh clean air!"
"I want to be free and safe. Not hunted by humans and monsters alike day in and day out!" The gruff voice of Gros rose above the crowd.
Many monsters nodded and whispering and murmurs spread throughout the encampment. Merlin laughed out loud, "How noble indeed. With this I am satisfied." He cast his gaze over the room, "Give me your faith, your trust and your cooperation and my goddess and my captain will make sure your dreams come true."
"Your goddess and your captain?" the siren Ray asked.
Merlin nodded, "My goddess Hestia is the goddess of the Hearth and Family. Hestia of the Eternal Flame. If there is one thing she reigns over, it is family and as such, she cannot help but give those who want it, a home, a family. If you would believe in our familia, that is what I can guarantee you."
"How do we know we can trust you?" Lyd asked with hope in his eyes.
"Unfortunate as it is for me to say this…" Avenger almost spat out her words, "but I trust him."
More whisperings and murmurs could be heard throughout the hall as the Xenos discussed matters amongst themselves. Merlin turned back to face Fels, "So Fels, how long have you been working with the Xenos?"
Fels stuttered his answer, "A… Almost… fifteen years."
"Fifteen years… And this is all you achieved." Merlin pinched the bridge of his nose as he shook his head, "Tell Ouranus, give me a year. In a year they will be living among us. I won't guarantee everything will be all roses, but they will have a chance at peace and freedom. In one year they shall be protected and given the opportunity to forge their own paths in peace and equality."
It was Gros who spoke up again, suspicious of Merlin, "What is it you want in return from us?"
"Nothing." Merlin shrugged.
"NOTHING?!" Every Xenos almost shouted at the same time.
"Nothing."
"I find it hard to believe a goddess would put herself into such a dangerous position for no gain of her own. Speak… We are not afraid to negotiate." Gros folded his arms wanting to get to the truth of what Merlin had said. He didn't believe anyone could do something for nothing.
"Well…" Merlin drawled, "If you really want to, just show your gratefulness to goddess Hestia and Hestia familia. That's all we can ask."
Just gratitude? That was all they wanted? It made no sense to the Xenos. More whispers and unbelieving head shakes ran around the room until Gorgon slammed her fist into the ground grabbing everyone's attention. "Listen here you pathetic weaklings. If you can't accept Hestia helping you for nothing then do something in return. Pledge your allegiance, honor the goddess or even just buy her a damned beer. I don't care! Whatever makes you happy!"
"Hahahaha!" Merlin roared, "Truly. If you want to pay her back just honor her, support her and support Hestia familia. That's more than what we could hope for already. We're not doing this for any gain, we are doing this because it is the right thing to do."
Fels was stumped. "What would you like of Ouranus."
"Just do whatever you want to. Hestia does not want to put Ouranus in a bad spot. We'll manage by ourselves if we have to." Merlin flashed him a confident smile.
The Xenos talked amongst themselves discussing everything they had heard so far. Merlin merely watched Fels as he patiently waited for the Xenos to respond. Finally, the lizardman spoke, "What do you want us to do then?"
"Are you willing to fight for your freedom and the freedom of your kin?" Merlin asked seriously now.
"Yes."
"Are you willing to do everything you can to ensure the survival and future of you and your kin, for the future of your children in generations to come?"
"Children?" This was echoed by all the Xenos at the same time.
"Of course! There is a chance and a way after all." Merlin raised a pointed finger in the air, "Think on this, how do you think the monsters on the surface keep existing even after getting culled, if they are not being replaced by monsters from the dungeon? Not many monsters make it to the surface and even less would be able to make it to the wilds, through a city full of adventurers."
This thought gave the Xenos even more to think about and even more motivation to gain their freedom. Finally, it was Gros who spoke up. "What do we have to do?"
Merlin nodded to him, "I will need your three leaders, Lyd, Ray and yourself, Gros, to come with me in secret. There I will ensure your safety as I assign you some simple tasks that will help ensure the future of the Xenos."
The three looked to each other and then to the remaining Xenos, "We can't. We need to look after the others down here."
Gorgon snorted angrily, "Who do you think I am? Do you think for a second I could not protect this pathetic mob!?" Was she angry or insulted? "Go with him. I'll make sure no harm will come to anyone." They had to admit she was right though, she could easily overpower the lot of them by herself.
After another discussion among the three leaders, they asked a final question, "Do you trust Hestia? Do you trust him?" They directed that question at Avenger.
"Yes."
With a final nod, the three agreed. Merlin clapped his hands together and pulled out a mobile phone from his clothing and threw it to Avenger who caught it. "Great! Then this is for you. Six months battery. Relay points are level eighteen and level fifty. Report in when you can. I'll keep track on the poachers."
Avenger rolled her eyes before tapping the device on the screen. A huge grin plastered her face. "It's got 'Candy Crush' on it!"
"I knew you liked playing it."
Fels felt left out and out of depth, raising his hand he tried to ask, "What are you…"
"…Just tell Ouranus we'll take over from here and thanks for his hard work." Merlin interrupted.
