Somebody told me this is the place where everything is better and everything is safe. That sign was hung on the wall first thing after the paint had dried on the walls. I never took the chance to ask her who said those words. I guess i'll never know now.
...
Remember tonight, for it is the beginning of always. A promise. Like a reward for persisting through life so long alone.
The hospital courtyard had been transformed into a theme the couple recognized right away.
"City Of Light. Paris." Lucas said.
Brooke looked to her children. A softened expression on her face.
"This is too much. How did the three of you manage to do all of this.? In such a short time span." Brooke questioned.
"We had help. Alot of it." Kennedy said.
"We just wanted to make sure the both of you were able to have the perfect day you deserved." Rosemary said.
...
"Where exactly are you headed.?" The older woman asked.
"I told you this already. Ryan Davis invited me to join him at his parents wedding reception. I'll be back home the minute it's over." Astrid stated overlooking herself in the mirror.
Second guessing the outfit she picked out. To say she was nervous is putting it lightly.
"I don't know what you're trying to prove. A boy like that. Given who his parents are especially. Should be a huge warning sign. Guys like him. Don't end up with girls like you. That's a fact honey. Trust me i know." The woman proclaimed.
"It would be great. Just for once if you could support me. And encourage me to follow my heart and want more for myself then bitterness and anger. I'm leaving now." Astrid stated turning from her mother as she left the hone.

The hospital courtyard
Awhile Later
There was endless music. Food. And dancing. Sparkling bright lights hung on above everyone.
The love and pure happiness on my parents faces was all the confirmation i needed. That this party was the right idea.
Rosemary danced with our dad. I had just finished dancing with mom. Now it was Kennedy's turn.
When i felt a hand touch my shoulder. I knew exactly who it was.
A bright smile coming to my face. As i turned around.
"Hi. I hope i'm not too late. I wanted to get them a gift." Astrid said.
Ryan stared back at her basically speechless.
Her sun kissed blond hair. And grey eyes. Paired with her smile. Made him nervous. He liked her alot.
"You're right on time. Thanks for coming the invite was last minute." Ryan replied.
"I appreciate you for including me. Plus any excuse to see you more is one i'll take." Astrid admitted. She couldn't believe herself. Being so forward with her feelings.
"Would you like to dance.?" Ryan asked.
"I would like that." Astrid replied. Smiling shly.
...
Years Later
