"You know, people are calling you humanity's savior. For nearly fifteen years you've done more than nearly anyone else to push humanity forward. Relations between the three factions is at an all time high and many people credit you with that. I think the people want to know—how did you manage it?"
"Truthfully, Rod. I'm not certain." Santana said as she looked at Rod Remington Junior. He was a spitting image of his father. "If we're being honest, I was stubborn, and a bit hard headed and racist when I was in my twenties. I mean as the twin's keep on reminding me, I was a terrorist back then. I wasn't, I think they just call me to remind me how far I've come and had to overcome. I never committed any violent acts but many in my group did. We were angry and hurt and we were scared. I think the fear of vampires is what kept humans from flourishing. I think the only reason I'm not dead is that I didn't irritate the twins that much, and I think they found me amusing."
"You were one of the key players in even getting the treaty on the table. How did you manage to get all groups together?" Rod pressed.
"I work with the King of vampires who controls every vampire in the Red Court, so getting her to the table wasn't difficult. Neither were the humans, the shifters were splintered and getting them to all agree was tricky. The one thing I know is that all races want a better world, even the vampires." Santana smiled at this. It had taken ten nearly a decade of bitching and gathering humans from every territory and building up several governments.
"Now let's discuss the rumors that have been circling, is it true that you're stepping down from your position?"
Santana laughed at this, "They're just that Rod, rumors. The truth of the matter I'm taking a sabbatical. As you know for the past few years, there's been a concerted effort to retake the South, and lately I have found my focus has been split. We've found more humans, more shifters in the reclaimed areas of the south that we previously thought. I've simply chosen to focus my attention on their reintegration."
"Well there are more rumors that have been circulating, so I guess the question is—which of the twins are you dating? And is there a marriage in the future?"
That wasn't one of the agreed upon questions and she notices the gleam in Rod's eye, this would make the news all over the world. So, she simply smiles and shrugs it off, people knowing wouldn't change her position. It would only cement her position. "Which one of them am I dating? Well that certainly depends on how much the other one is annoying me at the time, but at this moment, I'm currently in a relationship with the two of them."
This wasn't what Rod or anyone else expected and there was a gasp in the studio, "I—uh—"
"Scandalous isn't it?" Santana smirked at him. "I've been in a relationship with them for years, I really don't see the point in attempting to hide it. They're my lovers and I adore both of them when they aren't getting off in trying to get under my skin. But that's like any relationship isn't it?"
"You let them feed off you?"
"Now isn't that personal? They only feed on me when I give them permission, which isn't often." It was close enough to the truth. Quinn rarely fed off her, but Charlie whenever she saw Charlie, she always made sure to give her some blood. Charlie only drank blood from her. "I am a huge proponent of being with who makes you happy and I've been happy and supported for the past twenty years."
"I—wow."
"That's what I said the last time we were all together," Santana laughs a bit harder. "I was speechless too."
"And with that, we're going to have to go to commercial," Rod manages to stutter out.
Santana laughs openly and as the camera's cut she turns her head to look at Quinn who steps out from the shadows. "The rumors weren't going to go away until I addressed them," she says to Quinn who appeared in front of her.
"You've been gone for too long." Quinn says leaning in and kissing her and gripping her chair.
"I've missed you too," Santana says resting her head against hers. "But I'm needed near the frontlines."
Quinn frowned and placed a hand on her leg, pushing up her skirt and revealing a star shaped scar. "Needed? If Charlie hadn't been there you would have been killed."
Santana gently swats Quinn's hand away, "But I'm fine, and the answer to the question is no."
Quinn rolls her eyes at the statement and stands up turning to look at Rod and bared her fangs at him, "You will stick to the agreed upon questions or I'll make it look accident."
"What—"
"Quinn." Santana rolls her eyes and tugs on her arm. "Shouldn't you be in a meeting now? I'll be home later."
Quinn turned to look at Santana and flashed her a smile, "Charlie's visiting from the front-lines for a few days, we'll discuss your surprise announcement at home, as well as your unnecessary risk-taking."
Santana waved Quinn off, and looked at Rod who watched as Quinn moved and disappeared. "What did she mean like an accident?"
"Your death, I imagine. They're vampires, they still like to remind people that they're dangerous. Now about the interview questions." Santana hummed with a smile. So, she had used the twins to her advantage, but he didn't need to know that.
~O~
"Is that all you have? You've lost a step," Quinn murmured into Santana's ear causing her to go rigid.
"Fuck you," Santana gasped, she had no idea how long they'd been at this, but her legs felt like jelly, and she wished for the days where she could do this for most of the night, where she could go just hard enough to make Quinn claw at her back and beg her for release.
Quinn laughed, "That's what you're attempting to do," she reminded Santana wrapping her legs around Santana's hips and using the position to help her along.
Santana tweaked Quinn's nipple, this had used to be fun but now sleeping with either of the twins seemed to remind of her of her mortality. "Keep that up and I'll stop—" an arm wraps around her shoulders and she can feel Charlie's presence wrap around her. She flashes a smile and rests her head back on Charlie's shoulder. She's rewarded with a kiss on the cheek. "She's reminding me that I'm getting old."
Charlie snorted and looked at Quinn who flashed her a sly grin and she flicks her fingers, her causing the shadowy bindings to wrap around Quinn's limbs holding them in place. "Stay," she says simply to Quinn. "My turn."
Santana groaned, she had hoped for a bit of recovery time, "Take Quinn first, I want to watch you do that," Santana offers looking at Charlie who frowns. "I just need to catch my breath."
"You wouldn't have to if you were like us," Charlie says as she nuzzles Santana's neck. She nips it before Santana can argue with her.
"We've talked about this, I don't want to a vampire—I've talked to them you know and they all say you lose something. I like who I am, I like my humanity."
Charlie huffs they'd been having this argument for about a decade now, and she like Quinn were growing tired of it. "I didn't think you'd remain this stubborn even as you start to grey," Charlie huffed.
Santana rolled her eyes and gently tried to push Charlie away from her, "I work, not everyone can look like they're in their early twenties for all of eternity."
Quinn broke free of her restraints and sat up, "You aged well, like a fine wine. But if you're going to put yourself at risk like you do then we'd prefer if we didn't have to worry about you."
"I already said no, you know the process changes people. I like being able to go out into the sun. I like food. I love you but I love being human."
Quinn looked at Charlie who nodded, and she crosses her legs. "So, we'll turn you into one of us."
Santana narrowed her eyes, "What?"
"You'll become like us, you can eat as much as you want, you'll be more powerful than most other vampires, and you'll be truly immortal." Quinn said looking at her, searching her face to see what she was thinking.
"You don't turn other people," Santana reminded her, she'd heard that a million times. They didn't sire anyone.
"We're immortal Santana, we'll be on this planet until it turns to dust, we agreed that if we were going to bring anyone else into the fold we'd both have to agree because it needs both of us to do it. Charlie never agreed to make Rachel truly immortal, and there's never been anyone else that didn't irritate the fuck out of us. We want to spend eternity with you."
Santana blinked, that changed things. The twins had a soul, sure they had zero tolerance for small irritations but they were human. Charlie barely drank blood as it was, she could pass as human and continue her work until the humans finally figured it out. "Let me—think on it."
"That's not a no," Charlie said looking up at Quinn, who tilted her head slightly.
"I know." Quinn said quietly she flicks her eyes over Santana and looks at Charlie, and moves to wrap her arms around Santana, "Think about it Santana, all the power at your fingertips, all the very dirty things you could do to either of us. All the things you make Charlie do to me you could do it to her."
Santana shivered, all of these were very good points, but their sex life was fine, so long as she had water and food brought to her. "Is that all you two think of? I'm not going to turn into you just so we can continue to have—"
Charlie interrupted her with a deep kiss. "You'll be our equal in every way Santana. And more importantly you'll finally be my squire."
Santana snorted at this, and kissed Charlie who pouted at her outright refusal, "I just don't want you to forget me in a thousand years."
"So, stay with us for a thousand years," Quinn insists. "And more."
"Forever is a very long time," Santana points out. "You'll grow tired of me."
"You'll be free to do what you want, you could explore everything the world has to offer and then come back and we'd still be here," Quinn nips at Santana's neck. "Say yes."
Santana sighed, and licked her lips, fifteen years and they still managed to convince her to do things all the time. "If I say yes, will you shut up and fuck each other for my pleasure?"
"Anything you want," Charlie promised.
Santana shook her head. "Okay, but I want to enjoy being human for a bit longer, so maybe on my birthday."
