We do not own Koihime Musou or Kamen Rider Gaim. They belong to their respective creators. We just thought this idea would be fun and decided to give it a try. If you like it, then that's great. If you don't, then we tried. Anyway, come along and let's see what you think.
Shortly after his revival, Dai Shi returned to the RinJyuDen to view all the information his minions had gathered for him. The entire chamber was filled with screens, showing moving images of the Armored War Gods.
"So much has changed since my time," Dai Shi mused while analyzing the Armored War Gods. The Femme Fatales had done well with gathering all this information for him. It was always best to know your enemy. That way, you had a plan to deal with them and could also come up with contingency plans to counter any plan they may have come up with to counter your initial plan.
There was also this new information about a mysterious forest which existed in another realm. Curious, Dai Shi wanted to see this forest for himself.
But first, it was time for a long-overdue family reunion.

Chapter 62: Dai Shi's Master Plan
Nagata came to, groaning and feeling groggy like he had just woken up from falling asleep in an uncomfortable position. He tried to move but found that he could not. The rattling of chains fully woke him up and he found himself chained up to a dragon statue.
"...What happened?" The last thing he remembered was Dai Shi practically dropping the sun on him and then...darkness.
"So, you're awake."
Nagata looked up to see Masataka in front of him, bound to a tiger statue with chains just like him. He also looked like he had been tortured.
"Masataka?"
"Hello, Nagata-kun. I'd shake your hand but I'm a little tied up at the moment."
Nagata looked around and found both Mitsuki and Hideyoshi. A little confused after witnessing their deaths, he was relieved to see them alive but they were chained up like he was with Mitsuki bound to a phoenix statue while Hideyoshi was bound to a turtle statue.
"Hold on, I'm going to get us out of here," Nagata said as he tried to turn himself into lightning. His eyes crackled with electricity as he attempted to escape. Sadly, that was all he could do as he remained bound. "Damn, I can't use my powers."
"Looks like Dai Shi sealed your powers too," Masataka observed.
"What are you doing here, Masataka?" Nagata questioned. "I thought you were being trained by Brusa Li."
"I was afraid of losing control. So when Brusa Li offered me a chance to learn how to control my powers, I went with him, abandoning Sonken and the others," Masataka said regretfully. "But it was a trap."
"The beast within you must be tamed, which will require discipline, focus and dedication," Brusa Li told Masataka. "You need to be able to draw on its power safely without losing control. It is your power and you control it, it does not control you."
"I understand, Sensei," Masataka obeyed.
Masataka had come to this temple with Brusa Li to learn how to tame the savage animalistic side of his newly awakened powers. He was dressed in a white kung fu shirt and black pants. His training consisted of meditation as well as learning JyuKen from Brusa Li.
Masataka missed his friends, especially Renfa, Sonshoko, and Minmei but he was doing this for them. He could not face them until he had this under control and his training was not yet complete. Brusa Li had told him so.
Many months passed and Masataka had not received any news from the outside world. Brusa Li claimed that Masataka needed to focus on his training and could not afford to have any distractions.
"Your training is now complete, Zangetsu," Brusa Li informed him.
"Are you sure, Sensei?" Masataka asked.
"Yes, you are ready," Brusa Li answered as he returned the Baihu Lockseed to him. Finally, Masataka could go back and be reunited with the others. Now, he could fight alongside them and not lose control. He focused, summoning his white LegenDriver. His God Indicator displayed a tiger's face with three claw marks across it.
[LEGENDRIVER!]
"Henshin!"
[SOIYA! BAIHU ARMS! BYAKKO NO KIBA, TENSHIN!]
As he transformed, he summoned his Sovereign Weapon which was similar to Gaim's DJ Gun but with a white tiger's color scheme and motif as the barrel resembled a tiger's head. This was his Mouko-Hou. He aimed it at the ceiling and fired, shooting out an energy tiger which flew around him and then returned to hit him.
[OVERLORD BAIHU ARMS! PRIMAL GAAAAOOOOO!]
Once Masataka was transformed, he could feel a rush of power but it was tamer now, unlike before when he lost control and went wild. This also resulted in a new suit of metallic ivory armor. His Ride Wear suit seemed to be covered in white fur with black tiger stripes while the armor itself bore a slight resemblance to Nagata's Kachidoki Arms. The armor had white tiger-striped sode spaulders on his shoulders and matching haidate hanging from his belt. The sode had spikes on them with claw-like blades on the bottom.
His gauntlets had sharp golden claws that were folded against his forearms like Kamen Rider OOO and his greaves had small yet noticeable claws on his toes. The armor also had a noticeable 'backpack' which held a pair of sword hilts suggesting that he had swords stored inside. His faceplate had white metallic whiskers and black fangs framing it while his helmet's crescent-shaped crest had become a full circle with a tiger's face resting on his brow. The symbol on his chestplate resembled a tiger's face with his signature crest worn on it like a crown.
He had evolved into Zangetsu Rex.
That was when Brusa Li's attitude changed and he laughed maniacally.
"YES! YES! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"Sensei?"
"Sorry about this but it's time you knew the truth, Byakko."
Brusa Li changed as he became younger and was dressed in black robes. Zangetsu Rex's eyes widened in shock.
"You're not Brusa Li! You're-!"
"I am Dai Shi and you've been a wonderful student."
Zangetsu Rex growled and prepared to fight. He would need to return to his friends and comrades so he could warn them about Dai Shi. This would no doubt be a difficult fight but he was confident that he could escape, somehow.
Combining the Musou Saber and Mouko-Hou, he formed the Mouko Taiken and swung at Dai Shi but he deftly caught the blade between his fingers and ripped it out of Zangetsu Rex's hands before he sent him crashing into the wall with a blast of Rinki.
"Now is that how you treat all your teachers?" Dai Shi tsked, disappointed. "How disrespectful."
"It wasn't Brusa Li but Dai Shi in disguise. I tried to fight him but he was far too powerful for me alone," Masataka finished.
"What happened to the real Brusa Li then?" Nagata asked.
"I killed him," Dai Shi confessed as he stepped into the chamber. The bound Dragon and Tiger Sovereigns craned their necks to look at him. "I hope my last attack did not do any permanent harm, Seiryuu."
"Dai Shi," Nagata growled. The evil bastard looked so smug like he had already won.
"You bastard! I'll kill you!" Masataka roared furiously as tiger stripes appeared on his cheeks and his eyes turned tiger-like. He struggled to free himself in his rage so he could sink his claws into Dai Shi.
"Don't mind him, Seiryuu. He's just angry that I executed his brother." Dai Shi waved it off. Nagata's eyes widened and he turned to look at Masataka who growled and snarled like a wild beast. "He really did not give me much of a choice. If I let him live, that meant giving him another chance to stab me in the back again. I couldn't have that."
"Minato...Minato was just trying to...do the right thing after everything he's done," Masataka gritted out, tears of grief and anger streaming from his eyes. "And you murdered him!"
"He was a dirty traitor and all traitors must die," Dai Shi coldly justified. He then smiled warmly as he addressed Nagata. "How are you feeling, Seiryuu?"
"Like crap and even worse since I have to look at your face," Nagata spat.
"Rude. I see you're still bitter over your loss, Seiryuu. Now, the others should be waking up right about...now."
Mitsuki and Hideyoshi soon came to. Once Mitsuki found that he was bound, he started yelling, rattling his chains as he tried to break free.
"Son of a bitch!" Mitsuki cursed as he struggled. He tried to call on his flames to melt the chains but none appeared, not even the flicker of an ember.
"Where are we?" Hideyoshi groaned. "And why am I chained up? I better not be in some kind of kinky BDSM sex dungeon."
"Dai Shi captured us," Nagata informed him.
"That's even worse," Hideyoshi grimaced.
"Fuck, I can't use my powers!" Mitsuki shouted as he attempted to summon his flames.
"Same here," Hideyoshi stated as he tried to freeze the chains to make them brittle enough so he could break free.
"Don't bother. I sealed your power," Dai Shi informed them. "Wouldn't want you escaping now, would we?"
"Let us go, you bastard!" Mitsuki screamed, eyes blazing.
"After all the trouble I went through to bring you here? I think not," Dai Shi scoffed. "Allow me to commend you, though. You all put up a good fight and it was a valiant effort. You should feel proud of yourselves."
"What do you plan to do with us now?" Nagata demanded. "You've already defeated us so you've practically won. So why keep us alive? Or are we just trophies to you?"
"I'm glad you ask." Dai Shi snapped his fingers and an altar rose up in the center of the circle of statues that the Sovereigns were bound to. He then went and placed the Seal of Heaven onto it. "I anticipated that you would choose to fight instead of surrendering so I had the Seal of Heaven absorb your combat energy during our battle. Every time you landed a blow, every time you delivered an attack, the Seal of Heaven took in that energy."
"So, why do you need us then?" Nagata questioned. "You seem to have everything you need."
"Well, you see, that's still not enough. Just like how my revival required a sacrifice, my own plan requires a sacrifice as well. Four sacrifices, in fact. I need the life force of the vessels who held the power of the Four Sovereigns, namely you four. Once the Seal of Heaven has drained you, I'll use the power it has collected to open a gate big enough that all of Purgatory will cross over into this world," Dai Shi informed them.
"No, you can't!" Nagata protested, eyes wide with panic.
"What's Purgatory?" Hideyoshi questioned.
"It's where the Rinshi and Rinrinshi we've killed go after we vanquished them," Nagata answered, glowering at Dai Shi. "It's also the home of the Grimmbeasts."
"What the fuck are 'Grimmbeasts'?" Mitsuki questioned.
"Allow me to show you," Dai Shi offered as he showed them several images of Grimmbeasts. Nagata recognized them: Badwolves, Murdercrows, Deathworms and so many more nightmarish things he had encountered in Purgatory. He was well acquainted with these creatures as he vividly remembered how they had each killed him on at least one occasion.
"Those things are in Purgatory?" Hideyoshi gulped as the blood drained from his face. They were even more terrifying than the Beastmen and Inves.
"Exactly and they're already gathered on the other side, waiting for me to free them all. Once the Seal of Heaven has fully drained your life force, I'll open a gate big enough that will bring my entire army through to begin the purge. You've been in Purgatory before, Seiryuu. Do you think the people of this world can survive a force of such magnitude?" Nagata did not answer but his expression told Dai Shi what he was thinking, causing him to smile. "The four of you were chosen to house the power of the Sovereigns but to open Purgatory I needed you all to awaken as Overlords. That could only be achieved by having each of you suffer a great tragedy."
Masataka had lost his grandfather and his brother had turned on him. He had also believed he had killed his brother in a fit of berserker rage.
Hideyoshi was betrayed by Sasuke and then his best friend Kenshin sacrificed himself to save him.
Mitsuki lost Mei who had shown him kindness when he came to this world.
And Nagata lost his cousin Karasu when she sacrificed herself to save his life.
"Since you didn't exactly surrender to me, I'm not really obligated to hold up my end of the bargain. However, I am not without mercy so I'll offer you this compromise: I'll allow each of you to name one person and I'll spare them," Dai Shi told them.
"...Only one?" Nagata repeated.
"Yes, each of you is allowed to name one person for me to spare. When I purge this world, they'll survive and won't be turned into my undead servants."
The Four Sovereigns were horrified by the proposition. Dai Shi called this mercy but it was just another cruel choice. He wanted to make them choose who would live once he began his purge, leaving the rest to die.
How could they make that choice?
"...Yue-hime," Hideyoshi whispered as he gave in. He did not want anyone to die but if he could choose at least one person to save, it would be his beloved Totaku.
"Alright, Genbu has made his choice," Dai Shi clapped his hand then addressed Mitsuki. "What about you, Suzaku? Who do you pick? Your surrogate sister Sousou or the mother of your child?"
"Go to Hell," Mitsuki spat as he glared at Dai Shi, wishing he could just burst into flames.
"I'll get back to you," Dai Shi shrugged and looked at Masataka. "How about you, Byakko? Is there anyone you want me to spare? Hm?"
"Please...spare them," Masataka begged.
"Sorry, I can't do that. I only offered to spare one for you so you need to decide," Dai Shi said firmly.
"Son...Son..." Masataka hung his head in shame. "Sonken."
"Your dearly beloved Sonken, the one you abandoned. How charming," Dai Shi smiled. "Guess you don't care what happens to her little sister then, the one who looks at you like a big brother?"
"You're sick," Nagata growled, disgusted by Dai Shi.
"And now it's your turn, Seiryuu," Dai Shi turned to address him. "Which one of your lovers gets to live? Is it Kanu? Chou'un? Bacho? Ryofu? Ryuubi? Let's not forget Sousou. Or maybe you prefer them a little younger like Chouhi or Komei? My goodness, you do get around, don't you?"
Nagata gritted his teeth as he refused to answer. He refused to give Dai Shi the satisfaction.
Dai Shi now had everything he needed to accomplish his goal. Sadly, he did not have everything he wanted.
Brusa Li was meditating in his temple when he sensed a dark yet familiar presence. It was one that he had not sensed in a very, very long time. Opening his eyes, he greeted his 'guest'.
"Welcome home," Brusa Li greeted as Dai Shi stood before him.
"Shishou," Dai Shi responded coldly.
"So, you've returned, my son. You seem well."
"With no thanks to you, old man," Dai Shi scowled. "Fortunately, I had servants who remained loyal to me to the very end. They worked hard to bring me back. They even kept my body preserved for my return."
"And yet, after all this time, I see you have still learned nothing," Brusa Li sighed.
"Oh, I have learned plenty!" Dai Shi snapped. "I've returned to see this world is still in constant chaos. War can arise at any moment and people still suffer! Back then, I had the answer! I could've made sure there was eternal peace!"
"But at what cost? Their lives, their humanity, their freedom?"
"That was something you and the rest of the Order never understood! Sacrifices were needed for the Greater Good! Instead of trying to see things my way, you banished me, your own son!" Dai Shi shouted.
"What would you have me do?" Brusa Li questioned.
"You should've supported me! You told me that the Order of the Claw exists to bring peace to the world! I was working towards that goal!" Dai Shi argued.
"No, son," Brusa Li shook his head. "Your ideas went against the code of the Order. We should never impose our will on others. We must allow them to choose for themselves."
"Free will is the source of chaos! The only way this world can prosper is if there's only one absolute will to control everything!"
"I really hoped you would've learned your lesson," Brusa Li frowned in disappointment.
"Oh, I have learned something alright," Dai Shi smirked. "That sometimes you can't always trust those closest to you. You took me in when I was a boy, became my father after I lost everything, and I'm grateful for that, but then you banished me!" Brusa Li remained silent, allowing Dai Shi to continue. "But my banishment worked out for me in the end. I was able to gain the Emperor's confidence and became his advisor while I continued to work behind the scenes for my ultimate goal. I even managed to create my Seal of Heaven so I could rule the nation while the Emperor acts as my puppet! But your Order of the Claw had to come and ruin things!"
"Wei Lai..."
"Do not call me that!" Dai Shi cut him off. "My name is Dai Shi! The Great Death! And through my power, this land will know eternal peace! For your sake, old man, don't interfere."
"I cannot allow that, my son."
"If you want to stop me, then you know what you'll have to do," Dai Shi said as he entered a combat stance with Brusa Li doing the same. "Let's hope, for your sake, old age hasn't dulled your skills."
"Then you should know that with age comes wisdom," Brusa Li responded.
They soon clashed. It was swift and violent, as their battle shook the temple. However, in the end, there could only be one victor. While one was experienced, he was also ancient, and he eventually lost against his son who was still in the prime of his life.
"You've grown weak, old man. You're not even worth killing. Lucky for you, I'm going to let you watch as I bring peace to this world and make it mine," Dai Shi sneered. "Feel honored that your son will finally succeed."
"I may not be able to stop you, my son, but there are others who will rise up against you," Brusa Li warned.
"If you're referring to your so-called 'Armored War Gods', then I already know about them, and I know just how to deal with them. Now, it's time you give me what should've been mine."
"You don't mean the Sojyuto (Virtuous Beast Sword), do you?" Brusa Li coughed.
"Of course. That is why I've come here. I will finally claim the Sojyuto and I will become the absolute ruler of the past, present and future!" Dai Shi declared.
Dai Shi went deep into the temple and smiled as he found the door. He knew what was waiting behind it. He blasted it open and entered the chamber where the Sojyuto was kept. In the center of the chamber was a pedestal that was guarded by a barrier of Geki. Upon the pedestal sat a jade chest.
Dai Shi approached the pedestal and the Geki barrier reacted. He was not deterred as he reached out and touched the barrier. It tried to repel him but it failed due to the amount of Rinki he was feeding into it. The barrier quickly evaporated, unable to withstand Dai Shi's might.
"Finally, after all this time," Dai Shi smiled in anticipation as he held the chest containing the Sojyuto. He tapped the lock and it broke open, allowing him to open...an empty chest.
The chest was empty.
The chest that was supposed to contain the Sojyuto was empty.
"No...NO!" Dai Shi yelled in outrage as he tossed the chest away. "Where is it!? Where's my Sojyuto!?" Dai Shi heard heavy breathing behind him and turned. Standing in the entrance of the chamber was Brusa Li. "WHERE IS MY SOJYUTO!?"
"It's not here, Wei Lai. It was never meant for you," Brusa Li told him.
"You lost the right to decide for me when you banished me, old man! Now tell me where it is!" Dai Shi demanded.
"I will not, Wei Lai. I'll die before I reveal its location to you."
"If you wish to die so much then allow me to send you to the afterlife."
Brusa Li's eyes flashed gold and he let out a shout. He conjured his aura and it took on the shape of a charging rhinoceros. Dai Shi swung his Dai Shiken at the Geki construct, causing the rhino to shatter into a million pieces. He then charged forward and drove his sword into the grandmaster's stomach.
"All my life, all I wanted to do was to make you proud!" Dai Shi shouted as he twisted the blade in his adoptive father's gut. "You filled my head with dreams and ambition! Then you just gave my Sojyuto away to someone else! When I couldn't live up to your expectations, you banished me! Then when I was so close to my goal, you killed me, your own son!"
"Wei...Lai..." Brusa Li gasped.
"Shut up! Don't call me that! That's not my name anymore! It's Dai Shi!"
Brusa Li looked into his adoptive son's eyes, seeing the rage in them, but then he remembered the boy he had adopted and raised. He watched him grow and absorb all his teachings. He remembered how he had so much potential but then he squandered it all because of his arrogance.
"...I'm sorry," Brusa Li apologized as he reached up to caress his son's face and then his arm went limp and his head rolled to the side.
For a moment, Dai Shi's expression softened but he shook his head and hardened his heart. He withdrew his blade but instead of letting Brusa Li's body drop into a heap, he gently lay it down on the floor.
"It's too late for apologies now, Shishou. The world will change for the better. I'll make sure of it. And all that hope you've placed on these Armored War Gods, you'll see how misplaced it was."
Dai Shi then turned and walked away, leaving his adoptive father and master to dissolve into motes of light.
Dai Shi could not help but feel angry when he remembered how his adoptive father had once again denied him what was rightfully his. He regretted killing him before getting any information out of him. His temper just got the better of him. However, the Sojyuto did not matter right now. Dai Shi had everything he needed to complete his plan and there was nobody left who could stop him. Once he purged this world, he would send all his minions to search for the Sojyuto, even if it meant tearing this world apart.
"You won't win," Mitsuki growled, interrupting Dai Shi's musing. "You may have us captured but our allies will find a way to save us and together we'll stop you."
"Are you deluded or is that hope I hear?" Dai Shi retorted. "Let me tell you something about hope: hope is a lie we tell ourselves to keep us going even when - in reality - we know it's pointless. However, hope does have its uses. It's why I wrote the 'Celestial Chronicles'."
The Sovereigns gaped at him in shock.
"You wrote the 'Celestial Chronicles'?" Masataka questioned in disbelief.
"And the prophecy of the Messenger of Heaven," Dai Shi confessed proudly. "It gave people something to believe in and when you all arrived in this world, people rallied behind you because of a prophecy that they didn't realize was a lie."
"But you could not have known we would arrive," Hideyoshi said, trying to make sense of Dai Shi's claim.
"Actually, I did," Dai Shi smirked. "I wrote the prophecy after I foresaw the future and wrote it down in a journal. How did you think my Femme Fatales were aware of Shoku's future before it even rose into a powerful kingdom? How did they even know about Ryuubi Gentoku and the Five Tiger Generals?"
"So you foresaw our arrival," Nagata concluded.
"More than that, I orchestrated it. I wrote about it in the 'Crucial Keys to the Way of Peace'. It was Ukitsu who deciphered it and found a way to send Saji to your world to try and claim the wish-granting mirror. Of course, someone would try to stop him. I was expecting only four of you to be brought to this world but I can't complain about the results, even if the world has changed because of your wishes. After that, my RinJyuKen Akugata was revived to gather Rinki so they could revive me. However, the truth is that they only existed to drive you all to become stronger until the Seal of Heaven recognized you," Dai Shi explained.
"So, all this time, you've been manipulating us," Hideyoshi realized, paling and feeling nauseous.
"That's fucking bullshit!" Mitsuki snapped angrily as he refused to believe.
"Believe what you want, but the truth is that you've all been following a script that I wrote a long time ago," Dai Shi smirked.
"...I shouldn't have come back," Nagata murmured.
"Oh, but you had to come back, Seiryuu. Like a hero, you could not leave all your friends to fend for themselves," Dai Shi mocked as Nagata started to fall deeper into despair. "You know, you should be grateful. After all, I helped you out of Purgatory, lad."
Dai Shi smirked as Nagata looked at him in stunned realization.
"No…you can't be…"
Dai Shi quickly turned himself into Bucky.
"Howdy, lad! The name's Itachiki but you can call me 'Bucky'! I know Purgatory like the back of my hand!" 'Bucky' said before he changed back into Dai Shi.
"That was you?" Nagata questioned, unable to believe it. "You were Bucky."
"That's right," Dai Shi confirmed, proud of his performance.
"That's how you knew about the exit, about the gate," Nagata realized.
"And I led you there because I needed you back."
"Then what about Nanamomo?" Nagata demanded. "What happened to her after I left?"
The Femme Fatales stood stunned as Dai Shi stood before them. Quickly, they scrambled as they got down on their knees and bowed their heads.
"Dai Shi-sama!" they chorused. "Please forgive us! We apologize for showing disrespect!"
Dai Shi noticed that Nanamomo had not knelt and bowed her head but he was not offended.
"Nanamomo," Dai Shi addressed her and she silently listened. "You've demonstrated great power. How about I bring you back with me?"
"Would it mean attacking people?" Nanamomo asked.
"If I gave you the order, then yes. Besides, you've earned it and I know you have feelings for Seiryuu. This is your chance to be reunited with him."
Nanamomo began to mull over his proposal. It sounded tempting. She would be back in the world of the living and then she could go and look for Nagata. She couldn't wait to see him again.
However, going back would also mean serving Dai Shi and becoming enemies with Nagata again. She would be ordered to actually kill people since Dai Shi would not be satisfied with how she passively absorbed Rinki around her.
She may have been an apathetic bitch who took advantage of men, but she had changed since then. While she could not call herself a good person, she knew she was not evil and killing innocent people was a line she would not cross.
"...No."
"Excuse me?" Dai Shi demanded.
"No," Nanamomo repeated. "No, I won't do it."
"How dare you refuse Dai Shi-sama!?" Shirokumahime yelled.
"Shirokumahime, it's fine," Dai Shi told her. "Nanamomo is free to make her own choices and will face the consequences as well."
"I erased her," Dai Shi answered, snapping his fingers.
"You…erased her?" Nagata responded in horror.
"I erased her," Dai Shi repeated. "She won't be respawning in Purgatory or coming back at all. She's gone, forever." Black veins appeared around Nagata's eyes as he roared, his eyes glowing red as he rattled the chains. He was furious, so full of rage, which only made Dai Shi yell in excitement. "YES, THAT'S RIGHT! GET MAD! SHOW ME THAT RAGE!"
As Nagata continued to roar and try to break free, the Seal of Heaven glowed and hovered into the air. The Seal of Heaven then shot strings of energy at the bound Sovereigns and began to absorb their power.
And it hurt a lot.
Nagata screamed as he felt his energy being ripped from his body. It was like he was being torn to shreds from the inside. The others were not doing any better.
Dai Shi watched as the Sovereigns screamed in agony while the Seal of Heaven absorbed their life force. They would suffer slowly and painfully as every ounce of life energy was sapped out of them until they were left as lifeless husks. However, their sacrifice would not be in vain as they would usher in a new age of peace.
There would be no more wars, death or suffering.
Just peace, quiet and eternal life.
KRC: Now Dai Shi has all the pieces he needs to bring Purgatory to Earth. It looks like his plans have finally come to fruition. He even monologues since he's so sure of his victory. Even more, we find out how Masataka was captured in the first place and what happened to Nanamomo. This chapter also reveals that Masataka had obtained his Overlord form but he was still no match for Dai Shi who has been posing as Brusa Li after murdering him. Anyway, here's some basic information on Overlord Baihu Arms, aka Zangetsu Rex.
Overlord Baihu Arms: This is Zangetsu's Overlord form, dubbed Zangetsu Rex, which is an upgrade of his Baihu Arms. It is equipped with the twin Kiba Sabers in his backpack and the Tora Slasher claws on his gauntlets. He is also equipped with the Mouko-Hou (Fierce Tiger Cannon) which can be combined with the Musou Saber to form the Mouko Taiken (Fierce Tiger Great Sword). Theoretically, Zangetsu has superior physical power and speed in this form compared to his Baihu Arms.
Many centuries ago...
Brusa Li arrived too late with his disciples. The battle was already over and it had been a huge one from the looks of things. Two sides at war for whatever reason and so many lives lost over it. Why could they not resolve things peacefully? Why did they always resort to violence?
It was not just soldiers who lost their lives, but innocent people who were caught in the crossfire as they tried to escape the battle. He could see women and children, lying dead on the ground. He shook his head, distraught at what they had found. If they had only arrived sooner, then perhaps they could have prevented all this.
The bodies would need to be gathered so they could receive a proper burial but then he heard something.
It sounded like a child crying. Could it be a survivor?
Brusa Li followed the sound and found the body of a woman with arrows sticking out of her back. Kneeling next to her body was a young boy, covered in dirt and bleeding from a wound on his head. He couldn't be any older than 3 or 4.
"Mama! Wake up, Mama! Wake up!" he cried desperately.
Brusa Li approached the boy who became frightened at the sight of him. The man put his hands up to show he was unarmed and that he meant no harm.
"Peace, child. I am not here to hurt you. Was this your mother?"
The boy nodded, sniffling loudly.
"What's your name, child? I am Brusa Li."
"Wei...Wei Lai..."
Brusa Li and his disciples gathered all the bodies to give them a proper burial. As they buried the boy's mother, Brusa Li held his hand to comfort him.
