This is it, the final chapter of this story.
Episode 40: Living in the Magical World
After that night at the House of Mouse, things went back to normal- well, relatively normal for the Magical World. Most of my friends went about their days as they usually would, while others decided to try new things. Take Adam, for instance: he's currently off on his own adventure searching for his own 'big find.' With Melanie by his side, I'm sure the two of them will be fully-fledged SEA members soon enough.
In the mountainous desert of Frontierland, Adam and Melanie were making their way through Thunder Mesa, with Adam holding a map while their horse traversed the canyon. The horse's footing started to slip on the cliffs, throwing Adam off and into the canyon below. Before he could fall to his doom, Melanie swooped down and grabbed him, levitating the both of them back to the cliff edge safely.
"Well that was a close one," Adam said.
"Yes, yes it was," Melanie nodded. "You should try to be more careful, Adam."
"Hey, if I get into trouble, I trust you to be there to back me up," the cyborg said, giving his girlfriend a kiss. Seeing as Melanie was a ghost, however, she ended up phasing through Adam halfway through the kiss. "Maybe I should see about making you a physical body to inhabit…"
"Can you two save the lovely-dovey stuff for after we make history?" the horse asked.
"Don't worry, Buck, we'll get to our destination soon," Adam assured, hopping back on his horse. "Once we get to the Rainbow Caverns, our search for a rare Thunderbird Egg will truly commence."
"Let's make sure we ask for permission, though," Melanie warned. "The Thunderbird is what ruined my town in the first place when we didn't heed the warnings."
Not everyone has a grand plan, though. Look at Ana and Berry, who are just trying to get as many signatures as possible from their favorite characters.
At Avengers Campus, the twins were trying to meet as many of the superheroes as possible, but they were having trouble finding one particular hero.
"Aw, come on, where is he?" Berry whined.
"We've met how many spider-people and still no Deadpool?" Ana questioned.
Sitting at a nearby table wearing a "I'm Not Deadpool" T-shirt was the merc with a mouth himself, reading a newspaper and causally sipping on a smoothie. "Don't tell them, but I've been sitting here for an hour now just waiting for them to notice me," Deadpool said to the audience.
Thanks to all my friends meeting, they've even formed new friendships with each other. I've got to make a note of the next game night with everyone. Though it can get pretty competitive at times.
In Toy Story Land, Logan, Chris, Jacob, Ali, Rachel, and Mia all were in line for Toy Story Mania, split up into teams to see who could get the highest score.
"You ready for this, Logan?" Mia asked.
"You bet I am!" the drawing wizard affirmed. "I was born ready!"
"Don't get your hopes up for beating us," Chris said, twirling a yo-yo in his grip.
"Yeah, we're gonna leave you all in the dust with our fiery spirits!" Ali shouted.
"Just remember that there's no magic allowed or else you're disqualified," Jacob warned.
"And don't forget to have fun," Rachel nodded.
The three teams got onto their vehicles, then cheered as the game began.
Of course, there are other things they were able to find as well. Their performances made them pretty popular, and now they have fans of their own.
In the Animal Kingdom, Silver and Soren walking away from Expedition Everest and having a good time. Silver was a bit distracted, however, giving out a sigh as he eyed someone from across the street. Soren got a mischievous look on his face and flew up to some nearby trees, whispering something to the monkeys who nodded in agreement. The primates tossed down a banana peel, making Silver trip and almost fall, though he was luckily caught by someone before faceplanting.
"Woah there," said a strong voice. Silver looked up to see a young man around his age with ginger hair and royal guard uniform on. "Better be careful. The monkeys can get pretty mischievous."
Silver blushed and stood up quicky. "O-oh. Thanks for that. I'm Silver, and you are…?"
"Anthony," the man introduced himself. "You wouldn't happen to have been in that lumberjack dance at the House of Mouse, would you?"
"Yep, that was me," he said. "Not my idea, but we made it work."
Up in the trees, Soren nodded with approval as the two guys started talking, happy that he got Silver to actually talk to someone instead of watching from afar. "Mission accomplished," the Jaquin said to himself.

As for me? Well, Jasiri and I are still going strong, and my duties as Dream Keeper means that our adventures are only just beginning. And with how big a year it's looking to be next year, there's no shortage of-
"Gabriel, come on!" Jasiri called, pulling the raven from his thoughts. "We're going to the beach today, remember?"
"I'm coming!" Gabriel replied, setting down his journal and grabbing his pool bag.
The duo was currently taking a break from their usual adventures, instead hanging out on the sunny beaches of Hawaii for a warm winter vacation alongside a few of their friends. All of them were relaxing at the Aulani resort, just an island-hop away from Kokaua Town, home of Lilo and Stitch.
Racing down to the beach, Gabriel and Jasiri waved to Eda and King, the witch and her demon companion selling magic drinks from the Boiling Isles to vacation-goers. Sora, Donald, and Goofy were all having a sandcastle competition against Riku and Mickey, with Kairi judging both groups. Janja and Madoa were watching over the other hyenas, Jasiri smiling as her family was having fun in the sun.
"There you guys are!" Brooklyn called, leaning up against a surfboard. "You ready to catch some waves?"
"I'm up for anything," Gabriel nodded. The raven had forgone his usual hoodie, instead wearing purple swim trunks and a grey Hawaiian floral shirt.
"Oh, give me a second," Jasiri said. "I've been working on something new." With a flash of magic, the hyena was now in her anthropomorphic form, though instead of her usual dress she was now wearing a swimsuit, which was blue with a seafoam-green pattern going across it, though her blue butterfly remained behind her ear. "I learned a spell to change my clothes. I hope you like it, Gabriel."
The raven blushed and pulled his girlfriend in for a kiss. "Just another reason why I love you," Gabriel replied. "You've gotten good at magic almost as much as I have."
"No way, you're still the best," Jasiri laughed.
"Okay you two, enough of the couple stuff," Brooklyn teased. "There's a board shop just down the beach, so go grab some and meet me back here."
"Will do," Gabriel said, the duo running down the sand to pick up their own surfboards.
Once they got there, the two met Nick and Judy, who were also on vacation for the holidays. The fox and rabbit joined their surf group, and pretty soon it looked like everyone was wanting to try it out. Gabriel felt the sea breeze blow through his feathers, his magic finding the beat in the air and letting it flow through him.
"You guys want to come too?" Jasiri asked Madoa and Janja.
"We would, but we don't have hands to do it properly," Madoa noted.
"I mean, I saw a dog surfing by before, but he was with a human while doing that," Janja added. "At least, I think it was a dog. Are they usually blue?"
"Oh, we can fix that," Gabriel said. "We'll just use that spell we came up with at the jazz club, remember?"
"Oh yeah, that one!" Jasiri replied.
The two held up their hands, magic swirling around before reaching out and swirling around Janja and Madoa. Once the spell ended, both of them were now in a similar form to Jasiri, with Janja wearing black trunks with a green flame pattern and sunglasses, while Madoa was wearing a matching outfit to her sister, just in red and light blue.
"Woah, that felt… odd, but not in a bad way," Madoa said.
"Uh…" Janja stuttered, distracted by Madoa's new appearance. He quickly shook his head and turned away, a blush noticeable on his face. "So, we're doing that surfing stuff, right? Let's go do that."
Gabriel and Jasiri got the two boards of their own, and soon enough the group of friends were all out on the sea. The raven brushed his hand in the water, his magic moving outwards as he let Fantasia bring music to the area. Leading his head back, Gabriel called out to the music as a song started up.
Gabriel:
Aloha ē, aloha ē
ʻAnoʻai ke aloha ē
As he called out, Jasiri joined in, their voices coming together on the wind.
Gabriel & Jasiri:
Aloha ē, aloha ē
ʻAnoʻai ke aloha ē
The music soon started, a casual Hawaiian tune that matched the nature of the waves near the shore. Jasiri playfully splashed water at Gabriel as she sang.
Jasiri:
There's no place I'd rather be
Than on my surfboard out at sea
Madoa paddled over to her sister, adding in her own like to the song.
Madoa:
Lingering in the ocean blue
And if I had one wish come true
The sisters came together as Gabriel let the music go on.
Jasiri & Madoa:
I'd surf 'til the sun sets
Beyond the horizon
ʻĀwikiwiki, mai lohilohi
Lawe mai i ko papa heʻe nalu
Flyin' by on the Hawaiian roller coaster ride
"Here comes the first wave," Brooklyn called. "Just ride over it so we can get farther out to sea."
The group nodded, with Kairi singing the next part of the song.
Kairi:
ʻĀwikiwiki, mai lohilohi
Lawe mai i ko papa heʻe nalu
Piʻi nā nalu lā lahalaha
ʻO ka moana hānupanupa
The Hawaiian sun shined down on the ocean, warming them up even as the cool water rushed underneath them.
Lalala i ka lā hanahana
Me ke kai hoene i ka puʻe one
Hele, hele mai kākou ē
Hawaiian roller coaster ride
"Alright, time to pick it up," Gabriel said. He switched up the song, and soon the calm music was replaced by a rock and roll remix. Just in time for the big waves to come in, Brooklyn smirked as he took the next part.
Brooklyn:
There's no place I'd rather be
Than on the seashore dry, wet free!
Wanting to show off his own skills, and maybe to impress Madoa, Janja decided to join in the song as well.
Janja:
On golden sand is where I lay
And if I only had my way!
The gargoyle and hyena braced themselves as they entered into the big wave.
Brooklyn & Janja:
I'd play 'til the sun sets
Beyond the horizon!
Lalala i ka lā hanahana
Me ke kai hoene i ka puʻe one
It's time to try the Hawaiian Roller coaster ride!
With the time for surfing to truly begin, everyone was ready to get into the sport. While for some they almost instantly fell of their boards, others coasted along the inside of the wave, while a few even tried to do some tricks off the top.
Gabriel:
Hang loose, hang ten, how'zit, shake a shaka
No worry, no fear, ain't no biggie braddah
Cuttin' in, cuttin' up, cuttin' back, cuttin' out
Frontside, backside, goofy footed, wipe out
Judy almost fell of her board, but Nick managed to catch her and bring her over to his own surfboard. Brooklyn shred the wave, doing a triple spin before landing safely back down. Gabriel held his hand out to the water, letting magic send colors out into the water behind him.
Let's get jumpin', surf's up and pumpin'
Coastin' with the motion of the ocean
Whirlpools swirling, cascading, twirling
Hawaiian roller coaster ride
"This next one looks like a big one," Jasiri observed as they coasted out of the current wave.
Aloha ē, aloha ē
ʻAnoʻai ke aloha ē
Aloha ē, aloha ē
ʻAnoʻai ke aloha ē
"You scared?" Gabriel asked.
"Never with you around," Jasiri replied. She hopped over to her boyfriend's board and sat in front of him. "How about we tackle this one how we always do: together."
"You're on," the raven replied. He switched the music again, turning into and energetic acapella as everyone joined in the song.
Gabriel:
There's no place I'd rather be (there's no place I'd rather be)
Than on my surfboard out at sea! (than on my surfboard out at sea)
Lingering in the ocean blue (lingering in the ocean blue)
And if I had one wish come true!
Riding into the big wave, everyone held on as they rocketed through the torrent of water, catching some sweet air at the top before riding into the crest.
I'd surf 'til the sun sets
Beyond the horizon!
ʻĀwikiwiki, mai lohilohi
(Lawe mai i ko papa heʻe nalu)
Flyin' by on the Hawaiian roller coaster-
Everyone:
I'm flyin' by on the Hawaiian roller coaster-
Gabriel:
Flyin' by on the Hawaiian roller coaster ride!
Soon everyone was either wiped out or back on the beach, but Gabriel and Jasiri sang the last verse as they floated back to shore, with their magic creating illusionary dolphins to jump out of the water in time to the song.
Gabriel & Jasiri:
ʻĀwikiwiki, mai lohilohi
(Lawe mai i ko papa heʻe nalu)
Piʻi nā nalu lā lahalaha
(ʻO ka moana hānupanupa)
Lalala i ka lā hanahana
(Me ke kai hoene i ka puʻe one)
Hele, hele mai kākou ē
(Hawaiian roller coaster ride!)
Once they got back, the sun was starting to get to the horizon, signaling to everyone that it was time to held indoors for some dinner and relaxation after a day at the beach. As they always say, time flies when you're having fun.
"That was fun," Jasiri laughed, flopping down on the bed after the day they had.
"You can say that again," Gabriel replied, laying down next to his girlfriend.
"It's a shame that we'll have to go back to everything else after this, though," Jasiri sighed.
"Hey, when I'm with you, every day is an adventure, even when we're on vacation," Gabriel said. "Plus we do plenty of fun stuff even when we are working."
"Yeah, true," Jasiri nodded. "Although we could always use some more time for just the two of us." She snuggled up to Gabriel, the raven pulling her in for a hug.
"I'll talk to Yen Sid about scheduling that out," Gabriel said.
And with one more magical moment, my first year living in the Magical World was over, but it wouldn't be the last. With some many new things going on, Jasiri and I will surely have more stories to tell, friends to meet, and people to help out. For now, though, I'm content with some time off.
Author's Note
I hope everyone that read this story enjoyed it as much as I did writing it. The first part of this chapter wrapped up most of the guest character storylines, while the second part focused on a fun day with Gabriel and Jasiri. "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" is one of my favorite Disney songs, so I had to use it as my send-off song for this story. Whenever I feel down, this is a song I can go to give me those feel-good vibes.
As for what's next, I want to take a break from Disney stories, at least for a little while. There are some other fandoms I want to write in, plus some other stories I need to work on as well. Gabriel and Jasiri will be returning for another adventure in the Magical World, though, so I hope you patiently await their return.
Until next time, keep moving forward. This is The Dragon Saver, signing off!
