There were ten minutes left before the play started, yet most of the seats were already taken, but compared to them, this VIP room really was the best as Swire had said. From here, on the second floor, they could see the entire stage.
Lin Ye looks around curiously.
There were only two seats in the whole room. With its privacy and vantage point, it's no wonder the tickets Swire gave him could be sold at a high price.
But Lin Ye still didn't think it was worth coming here. Nevertheless, he was here, because he didn't want to offend Swire.
"How long will this play last?" Lin Ye asks.
"Did you read the poster outside?" Swire glances at Lin Ye, "About three hours."
"..."
Lin Ye rubs his forehead anxiously.
Three hours!
Quite frankly, he didn't think he could watch this kind of drama for more than one hour, let alone three.
"Do you want anything?" Swire picks up a menu.
"What do they have?"
"We can choose snacks and drinks. Just mark whatever you want and put the menu in the box outside. Someone will deliver them within ten minutes." She gives him the menu, "Take a look."
Lin Ye skims the list and marks a few things, "I'll have the cake and... a glass of orange juice."
"I want a cup of coffee with two cubes of brown sugar and one ounce of milk froth."
Lin Ye marks her orders as well.
Swire leans back in her chair, while Lin Ye goes outside to drop off the menu.

When he comes back, Lin Ye suddenly realizes something.
This large private room has great sound insulation, and it's very dark, suitable for some... secret affairs.
Lin Ye sits back down and leans towards Swire, "Superintendent Swire-"
"Don't call me Superintendent Swire." Swire frowns. "And what is it?"
"Can you tell me more about Rhine Lab?"
"Now?" Swire says, "Can't you just watch the show?"
"It hasn't started yet. " Lin Ye says, "Um. I'm just bored."
"And so you want to talk about Rhine Lab?" Swire says sarcastically.
"Why not?"
She shakes her head, "That's why you don't have a girlfriend."
What does that have to do with this?
Lin Ye rolls his eyes inwardly and lets Swire tease him.
Swire asks, "You have friends that worked there before. Why don't you ask them instead?"
"They won't tell me."
"Why? Do you have a bad relationship with them?"
"No. That's not the problem."
"So, why? By the way, Ch'en said that you're a psychologist in Rhodes Island. Do they really need a psychologist?", Swire turns to look at Lin Ye, "Why does a psychologist carry a sword? Is it decoration or a real weapon?"
Before Lin Ye could answer, all the lights suddenly went out.
A few seconds later, the lights are turned on and concentrated on the stage.
An old silver-haired man steps onto the stage and bows to the audience.
"It's starting soon." Swire almost squeals, her eyes lighting up, "That's Master Walker. Ah~ I finally get to see him in person."
Lin Ye glances at Swire, who was acting like the people in his old world that would fall head over heels for their idols.
"I really admire him." Swire says, eyes beaming, "He's the star for those who like plays."
"..."
{Rhodes Island's Psychologist}
While Master Walker gave his introduction and stuff, Swire filled Lin Ye in on all the deeds and rumors regarding Master Walker.
Lin Ye wasn't really interested in another man's affairs at all, but out of courtesy, he still listens in silence.
Can we talk about Rhine's Lab now?
He can't help but think that she's doing this on purpose.
Fortunately, when the play finally starts, Swire stops talking and focuses her attention on the stage, leaving Lin Ye with no choice but to watch the play with her.

Twenty minutes later, Lin Ye finally understood why he didn't like plays. It's just too boring, and the story wasn't even that interesting, just some cliche about love in Ursus: a commoner meets the son of a noble and blah blah blah...
Lin Ye already knew what's going to happen before seeing the end.
But rather than how to stay interested in the play, Lin Ye found himself facing a bigger problem, how to stay awake.
He turns his head to the side and rubs his temples. He really can't hold on much longer. His mouth is getting dry.
Where's my orange juice?
Shouldn't the waiter have already delivered the food and drinks?
This is weird.
Lin Ye takes a look at his phone. Half an hour has already passed.
"Did they get lost or something?" Lin Ye mutters.
He decides to check for himself.
While he stands up, Lin Ye glances at Swire, only to realize that she's far too absorbed in the play to pay him any mind, so he walks to the door quickly.
When he opens the door, Lin Ye finds a waiter waiting outside with the tray.
"Sir," the waiter whispers, "your orders."
"Thank you." Lin Ye steps aside to let the waiter in, "Just leave it on the table."
"Alright." The waiter walks past Lin Ye toward Swire.
Lin Ye glanced at the tray. There were only two cups of coffee on it.
Huh? Where did the other things go? Did he come to the wrong place?
Lin Ye checks the box outside and sees the menu still inside.
What the hell? They didn't take the list.
Lin Ye had a bad feeling.
He looks at the waiter. For some reason, that waiter seems familiar.
His heart sinks.
Lin Ye rushes back into the room and shouts, "Watch out!"
But it was too late.
The waiter quickly retrieves a knife hidden under the tray and swiftly stabs Swire in the gut.
Swire turns her head shakily to look at her attacker and then the knife that was protruding from her gut.
"Damn you!"
She throws a punch at the man, who quickly steps back to avoid her attack. However, she still manages to grab his wrist.
The waiter stares at her in shock. He hadn't expected her to still be able to move this fast.
Thud*
Swire lands a punch on the waiter's head. In the next second, Lin Ye hears the crunch of bones breaking, and then, he sees the waiter fly across the room, colliding with the wall on the other side, before crumpling to the floor in an unmoving heap.
Lin Ye stared at Swire in newfound fear. If she had used this much force before, he would have already left to see God in person.
Why is every woman that I meet so freaking strong!?
"Ugh!"
Swire fell to her knee while pressing her hands against her abdomen. Her face growing pale.
Lin Ye runs to her immediately. "Are you..."
Boom*
His words were cut short when the stage suddenly explodes. The shockwave instantly blowing away all the people that were nearby.
"AAAAAA!"
"Let me out!"
{Rhodes Island's Psychologist}
The audience falls into chaos.
Then, things turn worse, when the lights are also destroyed.
Darkness sets in immediately.
"Fuck." Swire grits her teeth, "Terrorist attack... but how is that possible? Where are the security guards?"
"Are you alright?" Lin Ye helps her stand up, "Let's get out of here."
Swire shakes her head, "Call the LGD first... We can't let those terrorists get away..."
Lin Ye says, "No. I'll get you out first."
"Don't be stupid! Hurry up and call the LGD!"
"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk."
As soon as her voice falls, a man snickers near the door, "Beatrice Swire, long time no see."
Lin Ye and Swire turn their heads toward the door at the same time.
There stood a man wearing a suit that sported a sinister grin and flanked on both sides by two warriors wearing white cloaks and black masks, holding flaming swords.
