"You're drunk," Hermione stated, picking up the glass and sniffing it. Ginny snorted, grabbing the drink from Hermione and taking another drink.

"Maybe, why? Does it really matter? Does anything really matter?' she asked, not meeting Hermione's eyes. Instead, she looked at the red and gold flickered bar top. She looked at how the sleeves of her leather jacket wrapped around her pale wrists.

"Is this about Ron, Draco, or Harry?" Hermione asked, rolling her honey colored eyes as she slid into the seat next to Ginny. She wasn't surprised to find Ginny drinking at the Goose. She wasn't surprised to find her drunk either. Ginny had been getting worse and worse as the anniversary of the war came closer. Now, she was sitting here drunk, wearing a pair of black jeans, a black leather jacket and a shirt Hermione was fairly certain was really just a bra.

"Does it have to be about a boy?" Ginny asked, her speech slightly slurred. Hermione ordered a glass of water. She wasn't sure if she was planning to drink it, force Ginny to drink it, or dump it over Ginny's head. All three were perfectly good options at the moment.

"Because it usually is," Hermione answered truthfully. "Either you're drinking because Ron hooked up with Draco, Harry dumped you for some moronically heroic reason, or Draco dumped you because he's actually in love with your moronic brother."

"Try all three," Ginny muttered. "Harry broke up with me, then I found Ron and Draco in the middle of the bloody street with their fucking tongues in each others mouths, so I dumped him. He didn't seem to care," she muttered, thinking about that for a moment.

"He wouldn't. I mean, Ron's... well, Ron and we both know how Draco only really cares about one person, that one person being Draco," Hermione stated. Ginny rolled her eyes.

"I don't need a lecture for you Little Miss Perfect," Ginny muttered.

"One, it's not a lecture and two, I'm not perfect."

"Yesh, you are," Ginny slurred. "You've got perfectly pretty eyes that someone could get lost in. There's little flecks of gold in the brown parts."

"I've never noticed," Hermione said dryly, wondering when Ginny had even been staring into her eyes to notice such a thing.

"And your hair..." Ginny's voice trailed off, staring at Hermione's mess of curls. Hermione sighed and put the cup of water in Ginny's hand, forcing the witch to take a drink.

"It's a tangled mess, I know."

"No, it's soo pretty and interconnected like it's all in harmony with itself," Ginny finished, taking another drink of water. Hermione debated summoning a sobering potion, but decided against it. There'd be time for that once she managed to get Ginny out of the bar and somewhere that doing a little bit of magic wouldn't be out of place.

"You're drunk, Ginny. You don't even know what you're saying," Hermione pointed out.

"Am too! And I do so know what I'm saying. I'm telling you the truth, you're beautiful and perfect and soo much better than of the stupid boys," Ginny stated, leaning in closer to Hermione. Hermione could smell Ginny's pineapple shampoo, see the bits of copper sparkles in her eyes. She shook those thoughts from her head. Ginny was drunk. That was the end of it.

"Ginny, come on, let's get you out of here before you do something and actually embarrass yourself?" Hermione suggested, gently taking Ginny's arm. Ginny slid off the bar stool and into Hermione's arms. She looked up at her.

"Can you keep a secret?" she asked, looking into Hermione's eyes. "I think, maybe I should be kissing you instead of the boys," Ginny slurred, giving Hermione a sloppy kiss on the lips. Hermione gently shifted Ginny so their mouths were no longer facing each other.

"Come on, let's get you back to my flat, get you cleaned and sobered up and we can continue this discussion with you in your right mind," Hermione muttered, wishing the kiss hadn't happened. She wasn't ready to confront those feelings yet, and if Ginny did in fact recipocate them... she wasn't sure what would happen.

"Good, and you can get naked and I can show you my everything!" Ginny announced loudly. Hermione just sighed and helped the very drunk Ginny outside where they walked about a block to Hermione's flat. It didn't escape Hermione's notice that Ginny had chosen the closet bar to the flat.

"Alright, there we go, up one more flight of steps," Hermione muttered, helping Ginny. Once inside the flat, Hermione summoned a sobering potion and handed it to Ginny. She stared at it for a moment.

"Take it, I'm not having you throwing up on my carpeting."

"Fine," Ginny grumbled, downing the vial and putting it on the coffee table. "Do you have coffee?" she asked.

"Yes, I'll go brew us some and we can talk about... everything," Hermione stated, slipping into the kitchen. Ginny followed her, setting down on the window seat.

"I meant it, you know," she said after a moment.

"Meant what?" Hermione asked, hoping that Ginny would say she meant her feelings for her. At the same time, the same confession also terrified her.

"About you being perfect and wanting to kiss you. Maybe that's why it never worked out with the boys?" Ginny suggested as Hermione put a steaming mug of coffee in front of her. Ginny picked up the navy mug and took a sip. She sighed.

"I don't want to be your rebound," Hermione said after a moment. Ginny nodded.

"Yeah, I know, and I don't want to mess it up, if there's anything there, so maybe I should try something new, like taking it slow?" she suggested.

"We could try that," Hermione agreed, sitting down next to Ginny. Ginny gave her a smile.

"Only, I'm not quite sure how to do that, I mean, usually... well, things move fast, I move fast and boom disaster!"

"Maybe you could stay the night and we could have breakfast together?" Hermione suggested, her heart pounding at her own boldness.

"By stay the night do you mean... naked or clothed?"

"Clothed! I've got a king sized bed, but... I don't think... I'm not ready..."

"I'm just kidding!" Ginny laughed. "And if you don't mind me snoring, sure," Ginny agreed. Hermione nodded, wondering if this was going to work. She wanted it to work, Ginny seemed to want it to work, so maybe that would make all the difference in the end?
