"Wow.." She was utterly breathless as she gazed at the Sky, alight with Arvandail's Fire, raging for as far the eye could see, and she couldn't help herself as she reached out towards the dancing lights. It took alot of convincing for Toothless, but the overworked Nightfury eventually agreed to taking one more long journery through the air to show her. Mystery had decided to stay behind and look after the younglings, Flint and Tinder hadn't been seen in awhile and Blightfox had wanted to take a flight by himself.

The other dragons just simply didn't care enough for the Lights to fly out this far, and they were still tired from all the heavy lifting they had been doing to help fortify and protect their new home.

Heather wrapped her arms around Hiccup's waist, resting her head on his shoulder as they both admired the view. She patted Toothless on his side in thanks, and the Nightfury allowed a smile to show on his face. Yes, he was tired of flying so much, but to see both Hiccup and Heather as happy as they were, it more than made up for it.

"Thank you.. It's.. Amazing." She hugged Hiccup tighter. She couldn't believe this was actually happening. She'd been flying dragons for long over a week by now, and she still hadn't fully grasped her head around that fact; now she was sitting with someone who had opened up her world so much on the back of a Dragon long thought extinct. What more could she ask for? The dragon began to glide at a slow pace, taking them higher into the sky.

She couldn't help herself when she saw they were getting closer to the Clouds, and she reached up to touch them. It was, a strange concept to the girl. Touching the clouds felt like nothing but at the same time, was full of a magic she couldn't describe.

It was like this for atleast an hour, gliding along with the clouds and watching the fire before it began to fade in the sky. Nothing would ever compare to this. Heather reached out to try and grab a part of the clouds, but it simply dissipated around her hand. Sighing, she hugged Hiccup once again and rested her head on his shoulder.

"This was.. Thank you." She kissed him on the cheek and gently ran her hand along Toothless' side in thanks. The dragon hummed a 'you're welcome' while Hiccup gently grabbed a hold of her hand. He hadn't spoke much since the Fire started, but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence. He was simply enjoying Heather's presence. The dragon flew them down to a small sea stack, more so for the intention of giving his wings a moment to rest.

They dismounted and Hiccup led her to the edge, and they took a seat, staring out over the horizon, the Nightfury laying down idly behind them. She rested her head against his, thanking him again while Hiccup wrapped his arm around her.

"Heather, it.. I'm glad you enjoyed it.." Hiccup sighed, pulling her closer to him. "I've seen the Fire before but never that close." They were just looking out, watching the Moon reflecting against the ocean. She shivered, and without even needing to ask, Toothless had already blasted a fire, letting the heat radiate the area and the dancing embers cast an almost angelic glow on the Vikings.

"If you two are gonna get all lovey dovey.. I will puke." The two Vikings turned to face Toothless, annoyed amusement on their faces. Heather smiled playfully at Hiccup, before closing the distance and sharing a quick, but passionate kiss with him. Hiccup melted into it almost instantly, returning it and tightening his grip around her. "For Gods sake.." Toothless growled, hiding under his wings.

The two parted, getting lost in each others eyes before the annoyed grumble of a dragon snapped them back into reality. "What's the matter T, missing your girlfriend?" Heather teased, laughing softly at the dragon.

"No." He growled, still hiding behind his wing.

"Suuuure you're not." Hiccup chimed in.

"Am not."

"Is too."

"Is not." Snarled the dragon.

"Is too." He teased.

"Is not." He growled, shuffling further away from the two vikings. Hiccup laughed softly but decided to stop. "I refuse to fly you pair ANYWHERE by myself ever again."

"Don't worry Tooth, next time we'll make sure your girlfriend comes with us." Heather laughed. The dragon proceeded to mumble something incoherent under his breath.

"What was that?"

"Nothing... Are we done? Can we go now?"

"Relax, T, its not often we get a night like this."

"Are you kidding? We only came out here to see the Skylights." The dragon faceplanted the ground, an exasperated sigh leaving his lips. He loved seeing his humans happy, but he had only flew out because of the skylights and was under the impression they'd be off back home once it was done. He was missing out on some overdue sleep.

"Please Toothless, just try to enjoy this. Its rare for Midgard to be so calm, you know that."

The dragons annoyed expression dropped softly and he sighed. Hiccup was right, Midgard was almost never as calm and peaceful as it was right now.. Maybe he should just relax and enjoy it.

"Fine.. I guess it is kinda nice." He blasted into the dying fire, rekindling its lifetime and letting the heat wrap around them, and the dragon stared at the flame, more entranced by the embers than the rest of the world, while the two simply sat on the edge, wrapped in eachothers embrace and staring out over the horizon.

"Heather?" Hiccup whispered, feeling a weight on his side; she had drifted off to sleep, leaning against him, and Hiccup soon felt his own lack of sleep starting to catch up to him when he let out a loud yawn. Picking her up bridal style, he walked over to Toothless and rested her against his side, then lay down beside her.

"I wonder what Berk's doing right now.." He mumbled, almost under his breath but Toothless picked it up.

"Probably nothing interesting. Why are you still bothered about that place?"

"I was born there, spent most my life there T.. You don't just forget about somewhere you lived for so long that easily."

"You've told me yourself that after last night, you were done with Berk. So stop thinking about it."

"I meant done with watching over it every other night. I can't just, up and leave Berk behind, when it needs us." Hiccup sighed, shuffling across as Toothless curled himself closer around them.

"It doesn't need us Hiccup.. It hasn't needed us since we took out the Red Death, and it never will need us." Hiccup nodded slowly, knowing what Toothless was saying made sense to a certain degree. Berk had nothing as a village that would make it any sort of target. It had a poor strategic position, no overly fancy or rare resources, and barely a, ny more wealth than half the other villages in the Archipelago.

Toothless was right, it was time to let Berk go, for good. "Yeah.. You're right Toothless.. Starting now, Berk is history. We're never going back, unless we absolutely have to. Deal?"

"Works for me.. Now, am I flying us back to our warm homes or we staying out here in the cold." The Nightfury went to get up and prepare for take-off.

"Yeah.. Let's go home." Lifting Heather into his arms, he climbed onto the saddle, holding the sleeping girl safely in his embrace as the dragon took flight and started making the long journey back home.

It was a peaceful flight through the night, with clear skies full of stars guiding their way back. A comfortable silence had overtook them, and Toothless took the opportunity to let himself get lost in his thoughts as he flew mindlessly back home.
