A/N: Trigger warning for descriptions of torture and murder in this chapter.
Kara had her back up against the glass when Ezra returned, dragging something behind him. Her eyes widened in horror as she realised it was Wren, who appeared unconscious and bleeding from his chest. She was on her feet in an instant, rage coursing through her once again. A smile tugged on Ezra's lips as he saw this reaction, smug that he was able to make her so angry.
"I thought you might be feeling lonely" Ezra announced, dropping his hand from where it had been wrapped around Wren's collar.
"What did you do to him?" Kara exclaimed, her jaw tense.
"Drove him off the road. Don't worry, he'll live…probably" Ezra smirked, taking a step forward so he was inches away from the glass separating them.
"You think you've got everything figured out, don't you?" Kara muttered, as Ezra reached out to place his finger against a panel by the door.
Interesting, Kara thought to herself. To escape whatever hellhole Ezra was keeping her in, she wouldn't need a key. But how the was she going to convince him to open the doors for her? She had no leverage. Not yet.
"I've had a long time to plan this" Ezra told her, as the door unlocked, allowing Ezra to pull it open.
"Clearly, not long enough" Kara mumbled, suddenly lunging at the older man.
Just as her hand grabbed his neck, she felt something sharp in her stomach. Kara's eyes flickered down to see Ezra now holding a syringe, plunging whatever was inside into her stomach. She was quick to shove his hand away before he could inject the whole syringe, but it was too late. With her lips turned up in a snarl, she heard him laugh, not seeming to care that her hand was still wrapped around his neck.
"Like I said, Kara. I'm a perfectionist" Ezra shrugged, as Kara's knees began to feel weak.
"No one's perfect" Kara spat out, pulling a tiny object out from under her sleeve with her fingers.
In one swift motion, Kara slammed the sharp hairgrip she had been hiding into Ezra's eye, causing him to stumble back with a scream. She watched smugly as a small line of blood began to drip down his cheek, as he tried to pull the hairgrip out, which had been sticking out from his eye socket. Before she could even turn to run away, her legs buckled from underneath her, as she fell to the floor beside Wren.
"You fucking bitch!" Ezra yelled, storming over to her, throwing the bloody hairgrip away from him.
As Kara opened her mouth to give him a smart retort, she faltered. Her lips stopped moving. So did her arms, legs…everything. Her eyes snapped to his, the only movement her body seemed capable of. When he brought the heel of his shoe down onto her stomach, she still didn't cry out. She couldn't. Pain ripped through her body, as he shoved her onto her back, coming to loom over her.
"Cece didn't get a lot right…but this paralyzing agent she obtained sure has come in handy" Ezra exclaimed, crouching down beside Kara.
"That short fuse of yours has always led to your downfall, Kara. We could have worked together. You and I. You could have been on the winning team. Instead…look at you now" Ezra went on, pushing her head to the side roughly.
Kara's heart stopped for a moment as she felt something cold press against her head, her eyes flickering to where she saw Ezra was now holding his gun to her skull. His hands didn't shake. He wasn't bluffing.
"You could have blinded me, you know? You'll have to be punished" Ezra muttered, as she heard him take the safety off the gun.
Kara's scrunched her eyes shut, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of seeing the fear in her eyes. She was confused when she felt the gun move away moments later, as she forced her eyes open. A gasp died in her throat as she saw Ezra was now pressing the gun against Wren's temple. It was only then that she realised he had been awake the whole time, only paralyzed like she now was.
"Everyone dies around you, Kara? You ever wonder why?" Ezra pointed out, as Kara's heart sped up.
He couldn't kill Wren…could he? From the anger on his face, and the dark look in his eyes, she wasn't so sure. He was too unpredictable.
"We're ready" A feminine voice announced, as Kara recognized it instantly.
Maya.
"…Put these two at the front. I want them to see everything" Ezra ordered, pulling the gun away, a second later.
"You're bleeding" Maya stated, as Ezra grabbed a tissue from his pocket, dabbing against his eye.
"I can still see. And we're on a tight schedule. Do as I say" Ezra insisted, turning on his heel and marching down the bright corridor.
It was then that Maya came into view, wearing her red coat, her black hair flowing down. Kara tried to make a sound as Maya grabbed her by the shoulders and dragged her towards a wheelchair. She watched as Jenna came into view and slowly pulled Wren towards his own chair, almost walking past the object as she did so. Her sight obviously hadn't improved much. As they were both strapped into their wheelchairs, Kara and Wren's eyes connected, the fear behind them clear. There was no getting out of this.
Kara had blacked out at some point, only awakening when she was pulled out of the wheelchair. Her eyes flickered open as she was roughly hauled up a staircase, her limp body becoming bruised as Maya pulled her along. In the dim lighting, she could make out Jenna doing the same with Wren a few meters down. She was blinded momentarily when a door was opened and light came shining through, a stark contrast to the dark she had just been in. As she was dragged along the cold floor, she could hear the click of another door and suddenly realised where she was. The Church. Her eyes darted around as she was pulled down the aisle of the church, seeing there was a group of people already sitting in the pews. They weren't just random people either, all of the girl's friends, family, and boyfriends seemed to be there. It was practically half the town. Kara couldn't understand why none of them moved to help her until a sickening realization hit her. They were all paralyzed. A grunt died in her throat as Maya pushed her onto a pew at the front of the church, trying to keep her upright as her head lolled to the left. Kara's eyes widened as she saw her brother and Mona sitting beside her, both completely motionless. She felt someone being thrown against her and saw Jenna come into her peripheral vision. Kara strained to look past Mona and was thankful when she saw no sign of Jason. He had got away. A muffled scream from the front of the church, had Kara's eyes flickering forward, her eyes connecting with a familiar face. Alison, Hanna, Spencer, Emily and Aria were all strapped into chairs at the altar, a large table with five switches in front of them. Their mouths had been taped shut, and their limbs tied to the chairs they were sitting on, but from the way they were straining against their binding's, they hadn't been paralyzed like the rest of them. Kara's eyes were drawn to the pretty white dress that Aria was wearing, feeling sick when she realised it must have been her wedding dress. There was a loud bang from behind Kara, as she felt her body tense further. She could hear footsteps coming down the aisle, her heart quickening in fear when she saw it was Ezra, now dressed in a blue suit, a smug smile on his face. The blood on his face had been washed away, but she was glad to see his injured eye was still bloodshot. The church was deathly quiet, the only sound Aria's choked gasp as she realised what was happening.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to watch these pretty little liars get exactly what's coming to them" Ezra grinned, coming to stand in front of the five girls.
He then leaned over the table to roughly rip away the tape from Aria's mouth, who's eyes were already welling with tears. Maya came to stand beside him, quickly doing the same to the other girls, none of who could look her in the eye.
"Hello, wife" Ezra smirked, as Aria's lips turned up in disgust.
"Wife?!" Alison gaped, from the other end of the table.
"Didn't she tell you? We got married a week ago. More or less eloped apart from…well, the handcuffs around her wrists" Ezra chuckled, clearly amused.
"H-how could you do this? After everything—" Aria began, but Ezra quickly cut her off.
"Everything you've done? It was hard, I'll admit. Every day I had to pretend I cared for you, loved you even. But what can I say…I'm the world's greatest actor" Ezra went on, playing with the wedding ring on his finger.
"What have we ever done to you?" Hanna spat out, as Ezra scoffed harshly.
"That's what we're here to find out, Hanna. I want the truth. Once and for all" Ezra explained, turning towards the captive audience.
"What is this?" Alison questioned, looking down at the switches in front of them.
"A game. Our last game together…Truth or dare" Ezra told her, a dark look in his eyes.
"We're not going to play—" Spencer was cut off, as Ezra suddenly pulled a gun out.
A split second later, he was aiming it towards the audience, smiling when he saw the terror in their eyes. Kara tried to move desperately but found that all that twitched was her finger. She was completely at Ezra's mercy.
"Then tell me who I should kill first" Ezra exclaimed, taking the safety off the gun.
"You're insane" Hanna muttered, making Ezra chuckle.
"I'm just as sane as the rest of you. Now, who wants to go first?" Ezra asked, as all the girls looked down.
"Alison! You'll go first. Truth or dare?" Ezra asked.
"Dare" Alison replied, firmly.
"I dare you to flip the switch in front of you" Ezra exclaimed, making the blonde frown.
She only had just enough slack from the ropes around her arm to pull the lever down, a nervous expression on her face. A second later, Spencer let out a high-pitched scream, her whole body starting to shake. Alison quickly flipped the lever back, as Spencer flopped back in her seat, her eyes scrunched back in pain. It was then that Kara was able to see that all the girls had metal bindings around their ankles, connected to the wires coming off the switches.
"Remind you of anything?" Ezra grinned, watching Alison gulp.
"The Dollhouse" Emily mumbled, realizing Spencer had been electrocuted.
"My idea. Although, if I remember correctly, only one of you bore the brunt of that game?" Ezra stated, turning around to face Kara.
"Hanna. You're up next. Truth or dare" Ezra announced, as Hanna's eyes flickered to Aria's for a moment.
"…Dare" Hanna muttered.
Kara jumped as someone grabbed her hair, pulling her forward, the figure just out of her vision. She let out a shaky breath when she felt something placed over her head and could see the wires coming off the device, connected to a box a few meters away. Her eyes flickered to her right, as she could now see it was Jenna, who was walking over to the altar, placing a similar device on Hanna's head. Kara's eyes connected with Wren's, who was gritting his teeth so hard, she could hear them crunching together. She knew what was coming.
"You visited Kara once before in prison. Begged her for forgiveness, told her how sorry you were for everything that happened in the Dollhouse. So, what will you do now, Hanna? Have you really changed?" Ezra went on.
"I don't…I don't understand…" Hanna stuttered, a scared expression on her face.
"Pull the lever and Kara get's shocked. Don't…and I shock you. Your choice" Ezra told her, backing away a few steps and waiting to see what Hanna's decision would be.
It only took a few seconds. Hanna raised her hand up shakily and pulled the lever down, scrunching her eyes shut. Kara instantly began convulsing, her vision going black, eyes rolling into the back of her head. Dylan somehow managed to let a shout out as he watched his sister shaking beside him, knowing there was nothing he could do.
"I think that's enough of that" Ezra mumbled, turning the lever back, as Kara drooped in her seat, almost falling to the floor.
Her eyes fluttered up a few moments later, as she felt the device being pulled off her head, seeing Ezra looming above her. She felt hatred burn through her, as she watched him laugh.
"Bring back fond memories?" Ezra mocked, still pissed off from her attack earlier.
Using all her strength, Kara spat at him, cringing when she saw her spit was mixed with blood. Ezra let out a growl as he wiped at his cheek, his hand raised as he grabbed her face roughly.
"I'm a patient man, Kara. I really am…but try that again and I'll kill you" Ezra told her, no bluff to be found behind his words.
"Spencer! You're next. Truth or dare?" Ezra inquired, turning towards the brunette.
Spencer bit her lip as she sat up a little straighter in her seat, still reeling from being shocked. She had watched in horror as Kara had been electrocuted, clearly given a much stronger current than she had been. Kara frowned as she saw Spencer's eyes also flicker to Aria's, a hidden meaning behind them. It was then that Kara realised that she was beginning to be able to move her facial muscles, much to her own relief.
"Dare" Spencer sighed, as Ezra stalked forward.
Spencer was practically shaking as Ezra placed the device on her own head, knowing what that would mean. Her eyes widened as she watched Maya take out another headset from the box in the middle of the aisle and place it on Peter Hasting's head.
"Dad…" Spencer sobbed, tears welling in her eyes.
"Same rules apply, Spencer. Pull the lever and shock him…or I'll do it to you" Ezra informed her.
Kara's eyes flickered over to Peter's, who had somehow found the strength to give a quick nod, the meaning clear behind it. He wanted Spencer to shock him, just as any parent would.
"Please, don't make me do this" Spencer cried, as Ezra shrugged.
"Refuse and I'll shock you both" Ezra responded, coldly.
With her eyes closed, Spencer reluctantly pulled the lever, cringing as she heard her father begin to shake. With a choked sob, she reached out a few seconds later to turn the lever back, her eyes shooting open when she felt a hand clamp over her own.
"S-stop it!" Spencer exclaimed, her eyes darting to behind Ezra to watch as her father continued to shake.
"You're the one who made the choice, Spencer. You can't go back on a dare" Ezra grinned, his hand gripping hers so hard that his fingernails were biting into her skin.
By the time that Peter had begun to foam at the mouth, Ezra pulled his hand away, allowing Spencer to quickly flip the switch back. Tears were rolling down her cheeks as she watched her father fall to the floor, his body still twitching.
"Oh dear…" Ezra trailed off, walking over to crouch down beside Peter, his fingers pressing against his neck.
"Well, he still has a pulse. Barely. What a shame" Ezra muttered, with a shake of his head.
"…So, Aria. What do you say? Truth or dare?" Ezra exclaimed, turning to his wife.
"Dare" Aria spat out, angrily.
"Really? After what you've just seen? That must be some secret you're hiding" Ezra quirked an eyebrow, gesturing for Maya to move the device to Aria's head.
He then moved over to Byron Montgomery, who flinched as the device was placed on his head, his eyes flickering to Peter who was still lying on the ground. With her head turned away, Aria reached out to pull the lever, her choice clearly already made. Just as before, Ezra rushed over to place his hand over the lever before Aria could pul it back.
"He…he's had enough. Stop!" Aria cried, watching her father shake on the pew.
"I decide when it's enough, Aria" Ezra smirked.
"Y-you're going to kill him!" Aria gasped, watching Bryon slump in his seat, his seizure-like activity continuing.
"Would you like to change your answer?" Ezra questioned, making Aria frown.
"What?" She questioned.
"You can change your answer to truth" Ezra suggested, as Aria bit her lip.
She flinched as Byron flopped to the floor a second later, continuing to shake on his back. She was biting her lip so hard, it was enough to draw blood.
"Okay! Okay, I'll change my answer. Just stop it!" Aria insisted, as Ezra mulled this over.
"…Alright" Ezra nodded, flipping the switch over.
He turned on his heel to inspect Byron's motionless body, giving his body a small kick with his foot. He shrugged as Byron didn't stir, looking over to Kara, who had been watching this with a horrified expression.
"He seems in bad shape. If only there was a medical professional here" Ezra sighed, mockingly.
"Why are you doing this, Ezra? I thought you…I thought we…" Aria stuttered, trailing off when Ezra started to laugh.
"Time for the truth, Aria. Do you know what happened to Bethany Young?" Ezra asked, his eyes connecting with his wife's.
"No—" Aria was immediately cut off, as Ezra lunged forward, flipping the lever once again, as Byron started to convulse.
"Stop! Please!" Aria begged.
"Then tell me the truth!" Ezra yelled; his eyes filled with rage.
"I know! I know who did it…I know everything" Aria cried, as Ezra flipped the switch back.
"What did you do?" Ezra asked, through gritted teeth.
"Why do you care so much about Bethany?" Alison piped up.
"Because she was my everything. And one of you took her from me" Ezra retorted, with a snarl.
"You and Bethany…gross" Hanna mumbled, making Ezra roll his eyes.
"W-wait, that's why…you never—" Aria started, as Ezra cut her off.
"Loved you? Please. You disgust me, Aria. You all do" Ezra explained, his eyes flickering over to Emily.
"So, truth or dare, Em? Remember you have only one parent left, so choose wisely" Ezra pointed out, as Emily's jaw tensed.
"Truth" Emily replied.
"Did you kill her?" Ezra asked, watching Emily's eyes flicker over to Aria.
"Why do you keep doing that?" Ezra frowned, realizing it was almost as if they were asking for Aria's permission to speak.
"They don't remember. Not fully at least" Aria told him, catching the older man's attention.
"And why is that?" Ezra inquired.
"Because I drugged them" Aria confessed coldly, as even Kara's eyes widened, as a memory hit her.
"Ah, got it" Kara mumbled, pulling out a large tin from underneath Aria's bed and pouring the contents out on the floor.
"Jesus, Liam wasn't lying about the amount of this crap that Aria had" Jason pointed out, picking up a box of Diazepam.
"This ones from August 2009" Kara exclaimed, rifling through the medication.
"This one is too" Jason stated, making Kara frown as she picked up another box.
"Wait…they're all from Summer 2009. All from different doctor's…" Kara trailed off.
"She was hoarding them. But why?" Jason asked.
Kara's blood ran cold, now knowing the answer. Aria had drugged her friends the night that Alison had disappeared. What else had she done?
"I'm going to need a little more than that if you don't want me to fry your father, Aria" Ezra goaded.
"We all knew Bethany. Alison's mother was having an affair with her father…she had been inserting herself into all our lives. And then…she found out about the Jenna thing" Aria admitted, her eyes flickering to Jenna's for a moment.
"She threatened me" Alison frowned, as if a memory was coming back.
"You said we had to deal with her…so we set a plan into motion. Hanna would lure her out of Radley and we would scare her into keeping her mouth shut" Aria went on, as Hanna took a sharp intake of breath.
"I…I remember that. But something happened, something went wrong" Hanna murmured, scrunching her eyes shut.
"…Actually, it went exactly according to plan. My plan" Aria stated, as all girls turned to her.
"What do you mean?" Alison questioned.
"I was tired of living in your shadow, always being afraid of you…so I came up with my own plan to get rid of you. Everything fell into place, all I needed was Bethany" Aria replied, as Ezra's jaw tensed.
"Needed her for what?" Ezra inquired.
"Everyone knew how much Alison hated Bethany. She had the motive" Aria informed him, as a look of horror dawned on Alison's face.
"You were going to set me up?" Alison gaped at her, watching Aria nod.
"I want to know everything that happened that night. From the beginning" Ezra spat out, his hands balled into fists.
"I don't know about this, Hanna. Why would Alison want to apologize to me?" Bethany questioned, holding her arms close to her chest, clad in only the yellow t-shirt she had stolen.
"She feels really bad about how she's treated you. She wants to make things right" Hanna insisted, as she led Bethany into Spencer's backyard.
Bethany came to a halt when she saw that it wasn't just Alison in the garden. Aria, Spencer, Emily and Alison stared back at her, smug looks on their face. Her eyes were quickly drawn to the spade that Spencer was holding, her fight or flight response kicking into action.
"Good work, Han" Alison grinned, as the blonde came to stand beside her.
"What's going on?" Bethany asked, unable to keep the nerves out of her voice.
"We know you know about the Jenna thing. You're gonna' keep your mouth shut" Alison ordered, as Bethany scoffed.
"I'm not afraid of you, Alison" Bethany spat out, as Alison quirked an eyebrow.
"You should be" Alison told her.
"Tell your whore of a mother to stay away from my Dad, and maybe I won't tell" Bethany suggested.
"What did you just call my mom?" Alison questioned, through gritted teeth.
"Please, if anyone finds out what we did, our lives will be over!" Hanna insisted, biting her lip.
"Why did you even ask me to come here, Han? I thought…I thought we were friends" Bethany muttered, as Alison laughed harshly.
"Please, who would want to be friends with a freak like you?" Alison mocked, as an angry expression grew on Bethany's face.
"I didn't even know for sure, you know. Whether the rumours about what you did to Jenna were true, but it looks like they are..." Bethany trailed off.
"…How long until your parents are home, Spencer? I wonder what they'll think when I tell them you blinded Jenna!" Bethany spat out.
"You wouldn't…" Spencer gaped off.
"Oh, I would. I'll tell everyone what you bitches are really like!" Bethany shouted, storming towards Spencer's house.
"Stop!" Spencer exclaimed, chasing after her.
"If she tells your parents, we're all dead, Spence" Aria insisted, as the brunette bit her lip.
"Bethany, I said stop!" Spencer all but screamed, her spade raised in the air.
The blonde didn't turn around, unable to see the attack that was coming. The girl's gasped as Spencer brought the spade down onto her head, knocking her to the ground. Hanna's hand flew to her mouth, as she rushed forward towards her former friend.
"What did you do?!" Emily gaped, coming to stand beside Spencer.
"I…I just…I don't know…" Spencer stuttered, as if she had been in a trance.
"Bethany? Bethany, wake up!" Hanna cried, patting the blonde's face.
"Is she okay?" Spencer asked, a pleading tone to her voice.
"I think she's just unconscious" Hanna mumbled.
"Guys, what are we going to do?" Aria announced, as they all turned to her.
"R-right, we should call an ambulance—" Spencer was cut off quickly by Aria.
"And tell them what?! That we lured Bethany here and you hit her?" Alison pointed out.
"You'll go to jail, Spence. We all could…" Aria trailed off, as Emily's eyes widened.
"I can't go to jail! This can't be happening" Emily panicked.
"We can't let her talk" Aria stated.
"What do you mean?" Hanna frowned, from where she was still crouched on the ground.
"We get rid of her" Aria told them, as Hanna's jaw dropped open.
"We can't!" Spencer insisted.
"It's that or we go to jail, Spence" Alison retorted.
"…H-how would we…" Emily trailed off, scrunching her eyes shut.
"The gazebo in my yard. It's not finished, we could just—" Alison was cut off as Bethany suddenly awoke, gasping for air.
"Oh God" Hanna cried, stumbling backwards.
Bethany's hand flew to her bleeding head, her eyes darting around manically. The girl's watched as she began to crawl away, a small blood trail following her. They all stood still, in too much shock to move.
"We need to stop her" Alison bit her lip, taking the spade from Spencer's hand.
"No! Ali, you can't!" Spencer gasped, watching the blonde follow Bethany, who was still crawling on her hands and knees.
"…Em, I don't think I can…help me?" Alison asked, turning around to face the other girl.
"Can't we just talk to her? I mean, she might not—" Emily began, but Alison stopped her.
"Press charges? She'll say we attacked her! It's her or us, Em" Alison insisted, handing the shovel to her.
"I can't" Emily shook her head, as Alison reached out to touch her arm.
"Please, Em. For me" Alison all but begged, watching Emily bite her lip.
Breathing heavily, Emily stormed towards Bethany, who hadn't got very far and raised the shovel above her head. With her eyes closed, she brought the spade down onto Bethany's head, cringing at the sound it made. Spencer let out a scream, as she turned away from the sight, shaking all over. Hanna was crying by now, her legs drawn up to her chest, rocking back and forth. Emily opened her eyes to see Bethany had stopped moving, but she was still breathing. With a sob, she slammed the shovel down onto the blonde's head once again, flinching as she felt something splatter against her face. She threw the spade away from her, wiping at her face and finding a red substance on her hands.
"Is she…?" Alison trailed off.
"She's not moving" Aria muttered.
"Oh God, what have we done?" Spencer cried, looking green.
"We did what we had to" Alison insisted, coming to stand beside Emily, who was completely motionless.
"C'mon, we need to move her before Spencer's parents get home" Aria told them, walking to loom over Bethany's body.
"I can't…I can't do this" Hanna sobbed.
"C'mon, Em. Grab one of her legs" Alison ordered, as she took Bethany's other leg.
Ten minutes later and they had Bethany's body placed next to the gazebo, all three of them digging the hole deeper. They couldn't let anyone ever find the blonde.
"I don't know if I can live with this" Emily exclaimed, her voice trembling.
"Well, you're gonna have to. No one can find out about this. Not ever" Alison warned.
"How long do you really think we can keep this secret, Ali? We all know where the police will turn when they find her body" Aria pointed out, as Alison's eyes narrowed.
"...Where is her body?" Emily gaped, peaking out of the gazebo to see Bethany wasn't where they had left her.
"Oh shit" Aria cried, as she could see Bethany running away into the night.
The blonde's movements were jerky, her hand resting against the back of her head that was still bleeding. She turned to look back at the gazebo, seeing the three girls pulling themselves out, knowing they would quickly be chasing after her. If she could find someone—
Aria, Alison and Emily all came to a sudden halt when they heard the bang, too frozen to move. Hanna stood over Bethany's body, a golf club now in her hand, blood dripping off it. Bethany hadn't even seen her coming, too focused on the girls racing after her.
"Good work, Han" Aria exclaimed, as Hanna dropped the golf club to the ground.
"I…I found it in your bag. I didn't…we couldn't let her get away, right?" Hanna stuttered, turning towards Aria, who nodded.
"C'mon, we need to move. Now!" Alison exclaimed.
Twenty minutes later and they had almost completely buried Bethany's body, only her face was left to disappear under the earth. The rest of the girls had started to shake too much to be able to move the dirt, leaving Aria to finish up. She jumped when she saw Bethany's eyes shot open, letting out a gurgled breath. Gripping the shovel tightly in her hand, Aria continued to throw the earth onto Bethany, who was staring up at her pleadingly. Looking away from the blonde, Aria kept shoveling dirt onto her until the body was no longer able to be seen. She kept going, knowing the gazebo needed to look as it had been when they arrived. She let out a shaky breath, knowing that Bethany would have suffocated under the dirt by now. She had killed someone.
The Church was silent as they heard Aria recount the events of that night, the other girls looking horrified. It was clear they remembered some of it, but it seemed to have been buried deep in their minds. Kara remembered how both Spencer and Emily had nightmares years ago of killing Alison and realised their memories must have got messed up. They had helped to kill a different blonde. No wonder Aria had a breakdown after that night. Kara's eyes flickered over to Wren, watching a tear roll down his cheek. She couldn't imagine the pain of knowing his sister died in such a way.
"…You killed her. All of you. It…it was all of you" Ezra exclaimed, wiping away tears that threatened to fall from his own eyes.
Kara's eyes widened as she watched him raise his gun, his hand shaking, aiming it at Aria's head. They all finally had the truth, no matter how horrific it was.
"It's time to end this story" Ezra spat out, a second before he went to pull the trigger.
Author's Notes: I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! I hope it all adds up with Bethany's death, some more things will be cleared up next chapter though, like how Alison was buried etc. As you can probably tell by now, Ezria and the liars will not be getting a happy ending in this story, haha. What do you guys think about Ezra being A.D in this story? Please leave a review:)
Nicole Beverley234: I'm glad you liked it, haha! Enjoy the new update:)
Ineveryfandom: Well done, you guessed right! We'll have to wait and see if Lucas survives...and pretty much anyone in the church, haha. I don't think my American accent is very convincing, so I can't really talk! I hope you like the new chapter:)
EchoMoment: I'm glad I was able to surprise you! I always thought Ezra was A from the first time I watched the show, so I was really disappointed when he wasn't involved at all.
Hope10: We will have some deaths coming up soon, including some main characters! I hope you like the update:)
