Elsa blinked at the paper in confusion. "No...No, that isn't right." She shook her head.

The former queen shook her head once more before crumpling the paper. She threw the ball of crumpled paper toward the small trash can beside her. Oddly, the trashcan was already full with discarded ideas. The paper ball only bounced off of the full bin. Then, it proceeded to fall onto the carpeted floor.

She frowned and looked toward the ceiling. That was before she allowed her head to sloppily fall onto the table. "Ugh…" Elsa groaned before looking at before looking back at the new blank sheet of paper.

That's when she looked at it with a determined expression. She grabbed the pen that had rolled to the side in her turmoil. She had picked up her pen. Then she tapped her chin as she thought of a new way to make this speech. That was before her eyes furrowed as she scribbled away.

After a collective amount of hours, she had finally finished. Not only that, she had finally made something that might actually be convincing. She was very proud of her work. Elsa sighed once she had reread her speech. She read over it one more time before smiling.

Elsa nodded as she grinned. She called to the god that was also in the room. "Hades! Hades, I'm…" She looked over to find him sleeping. "Seriously..." She said in a deadpan.

Hades was passed out in a nearby chair and snored a bit when she called for him before he was silently sleeping again.

Elsa continued to stare at him in a deadpan. "For the love of…" She conjured up a snowball and chucked it at his face.

Hades awoke a few seconds after the snowball made contact with his face. He blinked a few times in confusion before staring at her. "...Did you just throw a snowball at me?"

"Yes," Elsa said, still looking at him in a deadpan. "Yes, I did."

"...Why?" Hades asked, equally deadpanning as the snow melted off of him.

She sighed before saying, "I wanted to tell you that I am finally finished and I wanted you to be...happy?" Elsa said matter-of-factly.

"Uh...Congrats?" Hades replied with a blink.

Elsa pouted at him. "Do you want to at least read what I have?"

Hades shrugged. "I guess...I'm not exactly the person you go to for speeches." He said with halved eyes as he accepted the paper and began reading it over.

Elsa shrugged at that. "Right now, you are the best I've got at the moment." She looked at him with a tilt of her head.

"Huh...that's a first to hear. Even Hermes is picked over me when it comes to speeches." Hades said idly before flipping it over to check for a back. He shrugged when there wasn't one and handed it back to her. "Sounds good to me."

Elsa took it back with a head tilt. "I may make some improvements...but for the most part...I think this is okay." She said as she looked over the speech once more.

"I guess it just depends on how you sell it." Hades said as he shifted in the chair.

Elsa nodded at. That's before she chuckled. "I'm...admittedly a bit nervous." She smiled nervously.

"Well...I'd say I'd be up there...but that's up for debate since I'm not sure where you...want me to be." Hades said with a confused look as he held up a finger.

Elsa blinked before furrowing her eyebrows. "I want you to show yourself when I am finished. That seems like the proper time." She nodded with a smile.

"Okay...Watch somebody signal me early." He said with a deadpan.

Elsa nervously chuckled. "I'll roll with the punches. I just have to...do it and make it work." She nodded before smiling with determination.

"...Speaking of which, when are you making that announcement?" The god asked with a raised eyebrow.

Elsa nodded before thinking. "I am thinking...tomorrow. I need to explain what's going on as soon as possible before the people...freak out." She looked up in thought.

"I'm surprised they aren't already arranging the "Save the former queen from the bad guy" raids." Hades said with sarcasm.

Elsa blinked at that. "Yeah...I should do this fast. If not...you're going to be on the run again." She waved that off. "Of course, I am thinking on the optimistic side. If It's done right, you won't have to worry about everyone screaming whenever you walk by." She shrugged and tilted her head.

"Good to know. Maybe I should get my "Fugitive" jacket nice and ready in case the reception isn't all that nice." Hades said as he began to get up.

Elsa nodded at that. "And I will get mentally prepared. I suppose I will see you later?" She tilted her head with a smile.

Hades shrugged and nodded. "Probably. Hestia is bound to try and catch me again. Might have to put that jacket to use earlier than I thought." He said, deadpanning at the end as he walked towards the door.

Elsa smirked at that. "Yeah...I'll catch up with you." She shook her head in amusement.

After a while of mental preparation, Elsa looked at herself in the mirror. She practiced how she should stand, she practiced how she should speak, and also practiced when to pause. Elsa still found herself still tilting her head. She wanted to fix more things, but she did not have the energy to go over the speech again. That's when she decided to take a walk.

A walk to clear her head wasn't a bad idea. It helped her not to think about the speech as much. However, she was thinking about something else now. Now her thoughts had wandered to her past. She had found her parents, she had figured out why her parents had passed away, but that still didn't answer who she was. There were still some parts of that story that weren't filled in and it made her feel uncomfortable to be honest.

The former queen continued to walk through the halls aimlessly. Elsa looked up at the large windows she had passed. She looked out of it and looked straight toward the kingdom. Her eyes bounced around all of the citizens in thought.

There was the sound of footsteps approaching before a somewhat confused looking Skadi peeked her head around the corner. "...But I was just here...Did I go in a circle back there?" She asked with a small frown as she rubbed her brow.

Elsa blinked at the voice. The sound of her mother's voice caused her thoughts to break and she looked in the direction of her voice. "...Oh, mother?" She tilted her head.

Skadi stared at her before shaking her head and walking over to her. "...I was trying to find my way around." She said with halved eyes.

Elsa nodded at that before approaching the goddess. "You'll get it eventually. Ara and Hazel were the same when I first brought then here." She said with a slight smile.

"It's the biggest building I have been in...in a long time. Asgard has bigger...but they are far too loud and battle-loving for me to stay for more than thirty minutes." Skadi said with a sour look.

"And after all that has happened, you probably never imagined coming here of all places." Elsa said before sighing. "I'm just out to clear my head. There is the matter of the speech, then the wedding, and then my past...it's just a lot."

Skadi nodded in understanding. "I cannot reveal much more of your past that you don't already know...and Njord is still cooling off." She said with halved eyes before shaking her head. "I may be able to assist a bit with the other two, though."

Elsa looked down as she continued to think. She pursed her lips and fiddled with her fingers. "I'm wondering if taking a trip to Ahtohallan would help…" Her eyebrows furrowed in thought.

Skadi blinked at that. "...Why would you wish to visit that place? It is far too cold for non-frost giants." She asked with a hint of concern.

"I've been there before." Elsa looked back up at her mother. "Something called me there...some type of siren song." She tilted her head. "That's where I found out the history between Arendelle and the Enchanted Forest. Maybe I could go back and try to find out about my past." She bit her bottom lip.

Skadi's eyes narrowed. "...Ahtohallan has never called people to it. Only the gods and frost giants were supposed to use it...perhaps because of its capabilities to see into the past and sometimes even the present. That's why it is so cold...it's to make mortals stay away." She explained with a small frown.

Elsa shrugged at that. "I lasted long enough to see that much. I'll take my chances again." She looked out of the window once more.

Skadi shook her head. "If you wish to go...then I will join you. Ahtohallan will listen to me...it will try to hurt you." She said while fiddling with her fingers a bit as she looked back up.

Elsa blinked as she stared at her. That before she nodded with a smile. "Okay. Thank you, mother." She smiled at that.

"I am able to leave at any time...but if you wish to leave sooner than later to clear your mind, just say the word." Skadi said with a small smile.

"The sooner I put my mind at rest, the sooner my mind will be cleared." Elsa replied with a smile. "We shall leave." She nodded with a smile. Then she began to walk through the halls, signaling her mother to follow.

Skadi nodded as her ice dress shifted to a dark blue ice jumpsuit. "Do you have a way to get to Ahtohallan? Otherwise I can carry you across." She said with a chuckle as she magiced her hair into a long braid that went past her waist.

Elsa blinked before grinning. "Yeah, I have a way. Come on. Let's go."

Skadi chuckled and shook her head. "Something tells me that you might be the individual that made crabby Nokk shut up." She said with a smirk.

Elsa looked at her mother in amusement. "I am the fifth spirit. I know how to calm all of the spirits." She said as she continued to walk.

"Oh? The fifth spirit is...hmm...If you ask me, you should have a better title. Spirit makes it seem as though you are what Hades deals with." Skadi said with humor.

Elsa laughed a bit at that. "Well, I don't have any other names in mind." She tilted her head in humor.

"Then you shall have to think up some new ones along the way." Skadi chuckled while shaking her head.

"I don't think I even know where to begin with that." Elsa shook her head. "Do you have any ideas, mother?"

"Hmm...Well my most known titles revolve around me being upon a mountain." Skadi said thoughtfully with a hum.

Elsa pursed her lips. "You're a powerful mountain goddess. I'm not a queen. Everything I thought I was is not who I really am. How can I name myself if I don't who I am?" She said with a sigh.

"As I said...you will find them along the way." Skadi said with a small smile. "When you find yourself...you will find a name for yourself."

Elsa blinked at that. She nodded before saying, "Okay. The faster we get there, the faster I find more of my past." She smiled at that thought.

"Well, the fastest way I usually take is by skis...or just by going giant." Skadi said as she frowned a bit.

Elsa blinked. She stared for a moment before saying, "Ah...Then I can trust you can keep up." She said once they had finally made it out into the courtyard.

"I manage." Skadi said with a small shrug as she glanced around.

Elsa nodded at that before bringing her fingers into her mouth. That caused a shrill whistle to sound throughout the air.

That was shortly followed by a whinny. A few seconds after that, Nokk rode into the courtyard and stopped before Elsa happily. He only deadpanned when he saw Skadi.

Skadi deadpanned as well. "...Don't give me that look." She said with halved eyes.

The water horse only deadpanned more at that.

Elsa only looked between the two. "It seems you two have history." She raised her eyebrow.

"...He's a cranky old man of a spirit." Skadi said while folding her arms.

Elsa shook her head at them before petting the horse on the snout. "Do you want a ride, mother?" She turned to Skadi while Nokk looked at Skadi with halved eyes.

Skadi stared before slowly smirking. "...I will take you up on that offer." She said pleasantly while watching the horse twitch a bit.

Nokk huffed in annoyance, flicking his tail.

Elsa rolled her eyes at that. "Oh, please. Don't be like that." She told the horse. "We just need you to take us to Ahtohallan. After you do that, take us back and that's it." She gave the horse a pleading gaze.

Nokk stared bitterly...before huffing. He gaze in as he turned, looking back at them. This was his silent way of saying he was ready to depart.

Elsa shook her head once more before mounting the horse. "We should go before he changes his mind."

Skadi shrugged as she got on the horse with ease. "If he did...I have my ways." She said with a smile.

Elsa chuckled at that. "What am I going to do with you two?" She patted the horse on the back before he started to ride off.

Nokk was honestly hoping that the goddess would fall off along the way.

It didn't take long to make it to Ahtohallan. At least not long to Elsa. In reality, the trip took a good thirty minutes. Now, that the weather was much more pleasant, the trip was easy and with little to no complications. The warm spring air only began to get chilly once they were ready to cross the Dark Sea.

Right before they were beginning to cross, Nokk gave Elsa one last look. Elsa nodded before patting the horse on the side. That urged the mythical water horse to nod in return. After that, he took off over the wild, raging waters. The horse easily conquered the sea and took them all the way to their destination.

Nokk stopped once his liquid hooves made contact with the partially frozen ground. Elsa noticed how the temperature dropped significantly. "...We're here." She hopped off of Nokk fluently.

Skadi didn't appear bothered by the drop in temperature as her skin took on a slight blue tint. "...I have never truly visited this place. It isn't well known to most...since it was sort of abandoned." She said aloud as she hopped off the horse and landed.

Elsa blinked as she continued to look at the magnificent ice mountain. "The only reason I knew about it was because of my deceased mother. She knew of this place." She said before walking down the all too familiar path.

"It's a legend to the people in the forest. In reality...It was just a gift that was declined because it could not tell the future." Skadi said as she followed her daughter closely.

Elsa blinked at that. "Really?" She asked in disbelief.

"Yes. It happened long ago...and the gods casted it away because they claimed they didn't need to know of the past or present. They wished to know the future so they could predict each battle." Skadi said with a head tilt.

Elsa nodded at that as he continued to walk as she pursed her lips. "Hmm...that sounds like something the gods would do." She said with a slight frown.

"Asgard is full of battle-hungry fools...that's the reason Ahtohallan is here on Earth now. After that the frost giants and those from Asgard went to several wars. I wasn't born until a little bit after the biggest wars." Skadi said as she trailed her fingers on the ice.

Elsa nodded at that. "I see. So...you had no conflict with the gods or..?" Her eyebrows furrowed.

"That is...a longer story that resulted in my father's death and my marriage to Njord." Skadi said with a small frown.

Elsa made a small 'o' with her mouth before pursing her lips. "Ah...I'm sorry." She said with sympathy as she frowned.

"...Ah, his death wasn't for no reason. He kidnapped the goddess that allowed the gods to remain immortal...then they killed him and got her back. Since then those fools seemed to adapt to not needing the apples. They tried bribing me with gold when I charged the citadel." Skadi said with a chuckle and a roll of her eyes.

Elsa smiled at her mother. "You have quite the story." She looked at the goddess, noticing that they were almost there.

"I suppose I do...It ended with me picking my husband...by only looking at their shoes. I figured that the one I wanted would want to show off his beauty...and instead it just happened to be Njord who lost his shoes not even five minutes later." Skadi said in a deadpan.

Elsa blinked in confusion before tilting her head. "...Gods have some weird customs." She looked ahead before looking down at the highly reflective ground.

"It wasn't a custom...more like an additional challenge for me." Skadi said while shaking her head.

Elsa's eyebrows furrowed at that. "Huh…" That's when she looked ahead.

There were columns of ice that reflected the auroras that bounced around beyond the door ahead. The door was their destination. "I think we've arrived." She looked ahead blankly.

Skadi nodded before stepping forward a bit, causing the ice to turn a darker shade of blue. The giantess laid her palm on the door and smirked a bit as it opened for her. "...I guess it still works for us." She said while looking at Elsa.

Elsa smiled a bit. "I'm glad it does." She closed her eyes as she took a deep breath. Afterward, she opened her eyes. "Alright. Let's go." She said before walking into the icy room.

Skadi entered after her and looked around. "I am unsure of how this works." She said with a hint of confusion.

Elsa blinked before looking around. "I don't...completely know how it works. When I first came here, I wanted to know how to calm the spirits and unite Arendelle and the Northuldra. Now...I need to figure out more about my past." She continued to blink.

Skadi tilted her head as she saw the multicolored glow of the ice shift. "...Maybe it listens?" She wondered as her eyebrows furrowed.

"It does?" The former queen looked around. That was before her eyes caught sight of the ice. "...I guess it does." Elsa continued to look at it in wonder.

"I wonder what it's going to do...It almost just looks like some sort of light show." Skadi said with a blink.

Elsa shrugged at that. "Don't ask me. This didn't happen the last time I was here." She said with widened eyes.

"...What did it do the last time?" Skadi asked, glancing around as the floor of ice also turned a different color.

Elsa continued to stare as she said, "Last time it was a room full of memories. They all seemed so real as well, but this...didn't happen." She looked around a bit.

The room suddenly glowed before the ice changed and appeared as though it was a forest floor while the walls changed to match the floor.

Skadi paused before she blinked in confusion. "...It's the enchanted forest." She said with a puzzled expression.

Elsa looked around. She mouth was slightly agape. "...It is…why would it show us the forest?" Her eyebrows raised.

Skadi turned around to look for a possible answer before she jumped out of the way as a gust of blue magic whipped past her and transformed into a slightly taller version of herself. "...I think it's showing mine." She said with a frown, noticing the staggering magic version of herself.

"Oh, wow." Elsa blinked a bit as she looked at the memory of the goddess.

Skadi shook her head. "It's after I sensed you being taken...I sort of just...stumbled down the mountain." She said with a conflicted expression as she turned away from the memory.

Elsa looked at the real goddess with a confused expression. "You did? Why? Did something happen to you?"

"I...wanted to find you and when I didn't…" Skadi gestured a bit to the memory version of herself that was turning a dark blue while her eyes turned a blood red. "...I went mad." She said as a loud yell from the memory echoed and bounced around the room.

Elsa slowly nodded at that. "I see…" She frowned a bit as she continued to watch the memories.

The floor and walls changed back to ice while individual memories of an angry looking Skadi covered the walls at each turn. With each one she looked more and more upset, with some even showing her attacking beings and firing at them.

Skadi shook her head. "I attacked all the spirits...the fae...any being with magic. If they had magic and were close enough, I attacked them." She admitted with a frown.

Elsa watched the memory with a slight frown. "...I had no idea you were that upset."

"I don't think anybody did." Skadi said with a sigh as the memories shifted to more violent ones. "Instead I just became like all the other frost giants...causing destruction and killing innocents." She said while folding her arms as she closed her eyes.

Elsa sadly nodded at that. She continued to watch with a wince every now and then.

After a few minutes, Skadi shook her head and stomped, causing the memories to stop rather abruptly and fade. "We did not come here to see my past." She said while opening her eyes.

Elsa continued to frown. She sighed through her nose before resting her hand on the goddess' arm. "It's alright. I needed to know. Your past is a part of my past." She offered her a small smile at the end.

"...I know. You shouldn't have had to see it though...I wasn't in my right mind when I did all that." Skadi said with a sigh.

Elsa stared at her mother. That was before she brought her into an embrace. "...It's okay, mother. It's okay."

Skadi hugged her for a bit longer before she reluctantly released her and shook her head. "...If I knew what you wanted to see...I might be able to try and get it to show it. It...appears to listen to me." She said with a hint of confusion in her voice.

Elsa blinked at that before nodding. "...I-I want to inquire about the memories in the journal." She pursed her lips at the end.

Skadi nodded and looked away for a moment before blinking as a few memories began to show up on the walls. "...I think it got it right." She said, watching as she saw Iduna stumble upon a baby as she walked around. "...Though she claimed that she found you while on horseback. I wonder if she may have lied a bit about that." She stated, taking note of the fact that Iduna seemed to be in an outfit that was quite similar to that of the Northuldran people.

Elsa furrowed her eyebrows at that. "...Why is she dressed like that? At this point in time, she was the queen." She finished with a frown.

"Maybe she was visiting and put on different clothes." Skadi commented while rubbing her chin.

Elsa blinked as she continued to watch. "That...seems plausible." She nodded, still holding the same expression.

Skadi was silent before she noticed somebody coming up in the memory. "...And that must be the king...someone isn't happy." She said with obvious distaste as the upset looking man charged in on horse and tried grabbing at the woman to get her to come with him. "Something tells me she snuck out."

Elsa looked at the scene with confusion. "He didn't allow her to visit her own family?" She frowned deeply at that.

"I did hear of a conflict between them, so perhaps he was trying to prove a point that their marriage wasn't the answer to the conflict." Skadi said while looking at Elsa.

"Oh…" Elsa continued to frown before she looked at something else. "Was that me?" She blinked at the image of herself.

Skadi nodded. "Yes. You can see why it was hard for me to send you away with Njord." She said with a hint of humor.

Elsa slightly smiled at that. "I was adorable." She chuckled before smiling wider.

"Indeed. It seems as though the king was quite the chicken." Skadi said with a chuckle as she pointed out his agape expression when Iduna cuddled the baby.

Elsa nodded at that. "He does, doesn't he? He really was afraid of me." She wore the slightest frown at that.

"While Iduna came from a people that lived next to the spirits and were in peace with them and their magic...the king came from a bunch of chicken mortals." Skadi said with a smirk. "They believed the magic was going to kill them all one day or another."

"I've run into my fair share of chickens…" Elsa winced at her own memories.

"They are everywhere if you ask me. The king just happened to come from a long line of them." Skadi commented as she saw the king practically flinch as the baby made a snowflake appear while Iduna laughed.

"Aww…" Elsa cooed at herself. "I could make little snowflakes." She chuckled a bit.

"And freeze noses...you froze your father's." Skadi said casually as Iduna finally stood up with the baby and began speaking with the king.

Elsa blinked at that before smirking. "I froze Njord's nose?" She chuckled a bit.

"Gave him icicles and everything." Skadi said as she fought the urge to laugh.

"Oh, wow." Elsa laughed at that before shaking her head.

"Yes...I don't think he was expecting that to happen." Skadi said as she closed her eyes, not appearing to notice as that very memory suddenly appearing on the wall.

Elsa blinked before openly laughing. "Perfect timing." She watched as the memory played out.

Skadi opened her eyes and blinked. "...And I forgot that I'm in control." She said as she failed to contain a laugh as Njord stumbled into a wall in complete shock while frantically trying to unfreeze his nose.

Elsa tilted her head in amusement. That was before she looked at her mother. "Any other important memories?"

"...The boat." Skadi said before tilting her head. "And that's a no from my memories...there weren't that many anyway since it happened pretty fast." She explained with a nod as the memories shifted.

Elsa swallowed once the goddess mentioned the boat. She slowly nodded before sighing. "Alright. Let's do the boat then." She pursed her lips.

Skadi nodded before looking up as the memories flashed to the king and queen on the ship. The goddess watched in thought before frowning. "The Dark Sea has always been the home of a sea goddess who is the cause for the horrible weather." She said before blinking as the memory showed a second ship in the distance.

Elsa blinked before glancing at Skadi. "It is? I don't remember seeing a…" She trailed off as she tried to remember if she saw a goddess.

"Her name is Ran, I believe. She usually sits at the bottom waiting for ships to pass over...then she sinks them and takes all of their belongings and the bodies along with their souls." Skadi informed her as the scene changed to the king trying to get the old woman on the second ships attention.

Elsa honestly had no words for that. At the moment, she felt something between shock, sorrow, and frustration. She just pursed her lips before continuing to watch the memory.

The memory showed the old woman staring at them with a lack of emotion before her eyes glowed bright red and the storm started to pick up while the waves grew violent.

Skadi winced as the old woman turned into some sort of sea monster. "...She is beyond weird. She normally tricks sailors into approaching her ship since most of them show concern for an old lady alone on a ship. And when they are close enough...sea monster." Skadi said with a sour expression. "The reason she probably didn't go after you is because you weren't on a ship." She added on thoughtfully.

When the ship began to sink, the sea monster promptly began grabbing at all the people on deck. Except for one, Iduna, who seemed to be in what almost looked like a light of some sort.

"Wait...That doesn't make any sense." Skadi began before she suddenly deadpanned as she spotted a blonde woman appear next to the queen with her hand outstretched. "...Oh, it's her."

"Who is she?" Elsa didn't remove her eyes from the memory.

"That would be one of Njord's kids. Considering the lack of magic and the fact that it's just the spotlight, I'd say it's Freya and not her brother." Skadi said with halved eyes.

Elsa nodded at that. That was before she silently continued to watch the scene play out.

Freya and Iduna seemed to have a conversation of sorts before Iduna looked back at her husband. Freya appeared to frown before she waved her hand and suddenly there was a copy of the woman. Iduna looked and smiled before nodding before the two disappeared in a golden flash.

Elsa looked at Skadi with an emotionless expression. "...Is that the end?"

Skadi looked down before nodding. "...It seems that...she planned it. She didn't plan the end, though. That was Freya's own decision." She said while glancing up at her daughter.

Elsa slowly nodded at that before she bit her bottom lip. "...That's all I wanted to know. Now...there's something I have to do." She said and promptly beginning to walk towards the exit.

Skadi nodded and followed her before bringing her into a small side hug. "I will be around if you need me after we get back...okay?" She asked while offering her the smallest of smiles.

Elsa merely nodded at that as she kept walking. Her eyes were focused on the path ahead and wasn't very talkative at the moment.

Skadi nodded at that before her eyes narrowed in thought as they began to leave the large ice mountain.

Once they reached the castle, Elsa allowed Skadi to dismount the horse. However, Elsa chose to remain on the horse. The former queen seemed to be in deep thought. She also seemed stiff and a bit tense as well.

"I'll catch up with you later." Elsa looked down at her mother.

"I need to speak with Njord, take your time." Skadi replied as she reached and rubbed Elsa's hand in a comforting manner before nodding and turning away to head back into the castle.

Elsa's eyes softened at that. Then she brought her gaze to the center of Arendelle.

"You know where I want to go." She told the mythical horse with a firm expression.

Nokk nodded at that before he took off in her desired direction. The horse did stop until he was in the heart of Arendelle. That is where the statue of her mother and ex-father were as children lie.

Elsa glared at the statue with an intensity they had never possessed before. She was enraged, and she was hurt. She was going to do what she should have done a long time ago.

"Here!" Elsa called to the horse, confirming that this was her desired destination.

Nokk neighed at that. He allowed her to adjust his stance, now they both were facing the statue.

Elsa glared at the statue coldly. She balled her hands into a fists as she gritted her teeth. The wind began to pick up around her and the train of her dress began to blow in these winds.

Without much thought, she lifted her arms and thrusted out her hands. To her surprise, a mixture of ice and light blue lightning shot out. It mercilessly obliterated the statue, pieces of it flying about in the form of chunks and dust. Ice and soot was left in its place.

Elsa nodded at that. "We'll build another one...and honor someone more deserving." She frowned before urging the horse elsewhere.

At that, Nokk neighed loudly before blasting off in another direction.

The former queen left behind the confused and shocked citizens. They looked at each other questionably as she blasted off, leaving a trail of ice behind her.

Skadi walked in the direction of the room that where, hopefully, Njord was. She had given in and asked a servant and they were quick to tell her. While this was good, and Skadi appreciated it, she still was easily turned around in such a large building. It was moments like this where she wished that she could teleport from place to place like her husband.

The giantess sighed as she turned into a hallway. "If this is correct...it's…" She looked at the doors before turning to one. "This one." She nodded before promptly pushing the locked door open with her strength.

Thankfully she had gotten the correct room. Njord was passed out with a magazine that had fallen on his face.

Skadi deadpanned and walked over to him before grabbing the magazine and rolling it up. She looked at it for a moment before promptly whacking him on the head. "Njord. Wake up." She said in exasperation before whacking him once more.

After the second whack, Njord groggily opened his eyes and yawned. "Oh...hello Skadi...your hair looks nice like that…" He said, prompting the goddess to look at him with halved eyes. "...Did you need something?"

"Yes. Freya is your daughter and I don't know anything about her." Skadi said, not noticing how he perked up a bit at that. "What does it mean when she randomly pops in and takes someone away?" She asked with folded arms.

"...Eh...Could mean a lot of things. Death, usual chosen one stuff, valkyrie picking...if it was a god she's picking them up for lunch. Oh, she once picked somebody up then disguised herself as them!" Njord said, grinning at the end. "Why do you want to know that?"

Skadi deadpanned at him once more. "She rescued somebody from the clutches of Ran and used some sort of...light. It seemed all very dramatic." She said with a raised eyebrow. "Then she proceeded to take that person while leaving a decoy to take her place."

Njord blinked. "That's oddly specific."

"Because it happened, Njord." Skadi said with exasperation before shaking her head. "What did Freya do with her?" She asked with a frown.

Njord looked thoughtful before frowning. "I...Well I would have to ask her. She rarely chooses a Valkyrie nowadays and she doesn't exactly go to pick up souls herself. She's a loner." He explained as he stretched and sat up.

"Oh, so she'd use a rather obvious and annoying blinding light to pick up a soul?" Skadi said in a deadpan.

Njord blinked. "Well...no-"

"Then for the love of Odin, what did she do?" Skadi asked as she irately leaned over him.

"Eh...the...well, Frey did mention his sister going out to do something and she left her realm…" The god trailed off with an owlish look.

Skadi gave him a half-eyed stare. "...Just spit it out."

Njord quickly nodded. "Right, right, she came back with someone. Frey was too far away, but whoever it was...they were making Freya smile up a storm. She smiled more around that woman than she did in months. But when Frey went to ask…" He paused with realization. "...Oh."

"Oh, what? Njord, I'm not a very patient woman." Skadi said with a twitch.

"Sorry-Frey said Freya said that she was welcoming a very important guest and that he should not dare to talk with her. I'm assuming he meant the guest, but it could have meant Freya and-" He stopped babbling once Skadi shot him a glare. "...He guessed it was a woman? I could message him to try and get him to find out...but I'm not sure if it is who you want to know about." He said as he leaned further back in his chair.

Skadi deadpanned before nabbing his phone that he had gotten recently. "How do you work this thing?" She asked in annoyance.

Njord deadpanned in reply. "...You go to contacts...and tap the name." He said slowly, holding in a bit of laughter at the sight of the confused giantess.

The woman irately tapped the screen before finally tossing it at him. "Just call him!" She said in a huff as her husband silently snickered. "Njord!"

Njord chuckled a bit before looking at his phone. He quickly called up his son and hummed as it rang, irritating Skadi even more in the process. "Hello? Freeeey! No-it isn't the weekly call, I need you to find out about that person that Freya likes so much-you already know her?"

At that, Skadi nabbed the phone. "What is her name?!" She asked loudly, causing laughter to be heard over the phone as Njord bit his lip to hide his own laughter. "Oh shut up, Frey. Give me the name before I come and kick your ass." She said irately, accidentally pressing the speaker button, causing her to drop it as the laughing grew much louder.

"Heh...Eh...Alright. The chick is kind of a star round here. There are people that can sing...then there are people that can sing. She's the second one. I've been trying to get Freya to let me take her to parties...but it's a no-go. She's too fond of her. What waaaas her name again? In...grid? Ida…?" As Frey continued to try and think of the name, Skadi slowly deadpanned at Njord.

Njord blinked. "What?"

"...I can see the resemblence." She replied in a dry tone.

Before Njord could comment, Frey clapped his hands. "Okay, so I don't remember her name, Freya didn't tell me, but this chick...she has to be royalty. She misplaced her crown the other day...and it is real. Everything is real. Oh and she only wears dresses. Maybe she's like some sort of lost princess, she did mention a boat when I did get to chat her up...maybe she was shipwrecked!" He offered with a 'hmm'.

"Or she was going to be apart of Ran's collection." Skadi said, hoping the younger god caught what she was dropping.

"...OHHHHHH! You think that Freya saved a princess from a watery grave?! ...My respect for her has gone way up." Frey said before Skadi managed to find the dot to hang up.

While Njord tilted his head, Skadi tossed the phone at her husband and began to leave. "I have to go find Elsa...go back to bed, Njord." She said with a deadpan before she left with a slam of the door.

Njord blinked once more before shrugging and closing his eyes.

Could it be..? Is the former queen Iduna, Elsa and Anna's deceased mother alive?

On top of that, there is the matter of Elsa's speech. Hopefully, it's good. If not, they may want to consider moving to another country.

This was also me and my partner's version of what happened to the late king and queen. It's our epic imaginations coming together to make...this.

Keep in minf that the wedding still approaches! I'm probably gonna start doong a countdown!
