Fairy Tail has faced many battles, many enemies. They usually come out winning, even when others say their enemies couldn't be beat like Grimoire Heart, the Alvarez Empire, and Acnologia. However, they are not without a challenge and, as powerful as Fairy Tail is, they're might be an enemy they can't beat.

"How much father?"

"Quit complaining like a child. We're almost there." Two guys were walking through the forest and were on their way somewhere.

"I just don't understand why we have to go all this way just to check out some stupid guild?"

"It's as we were ordered, Kisaru. Look there." Both of them stood over a cliff and they could see Magnolia. "That's it."

"So that's Magnolia. What do you think, Airin?"

"It might be home to the most powerful guild in this country, but that doesn't mean they're stronger than us. We just shouldn't draw too much attention to ourselves."

"Then this should be easy."

...

Nashi

Nashi was just outside Magnolia with her father. The two of them were doing some training. After what's been happening lately, Nashi could see she still has a long way to go to reach her father's level of strength.

"Come on, Nashi." Natsu said. Nashi took deep breaths as she went through some of her energy, but she went with it as she charged at him and kept trying to attack him. Natsu grabbed her arm and tossed her back.

"One more time." Nashi said as she was going to continue, but as a small breeze blew by, she felt something different and stopped herself. She looked towards the direction of Magnolia.

"Something wrong?" Natsu asked.

"Just got a bad feeling all of a sudden." Nashi said.

"What bad feeling? There's nothing to be worried about." Natsu said. Nashi would like to believe her father, but she's been in her share of battles and could just feel it when something doesn't feel right.

...

Magnolia

"Thanks for coming with me while I do a little shopping, Gray." Lucy said as the two of them walked through Magnolia with groceries. "It's not easy buying so much food when your husband is a bottomless pit."

"No problem." Gray said.

"You sure Juvia is okay? You know how she is when you're with other girls." Lucy said.

"She's fine. She only has thoughts in her nightmares." Gray said. "At the very least, she's keeping those crazy ideas to herself." The two of them kept walking until they saw Erza coming their way.

"Hey! Erza!" Lucy called and got her attention.

"Oh... Hello, Lucy and Gray. What are you two up to?" Erza asked.

"Just helping Lucy with a little grocery shopping." Gray said. "She needs to buy a lot of food considering who Natsu is."

"I see your point in that." Erza said as the three of them had a small laugh. It was nice, but Erza took a quick look at a small shop and noticed two people at a table that caught her attention in a way. "Actually, why don't you let me take of that for you, Lucy."

"Huh? How come?" Lucy asked.

"There's something I need the two of you to look at for me." Erza said. Gray and Lucy didn't understand. Erza thought she went unnoticed when talking to those two, but that wasn't entirely true. Erza whispered something to the two of them and they began to understand.

"Sure, Erza. No problem." Gray said. Erza was glad to hear that. When she look towards the shop, she saw those two were gone.

...

The River

The two mysterious figures were able to make it into Magnolia. At the moment, they were walking along the river and away from people.

"Why are we going the long way to check this guild out, Airin?" Kisaru asked.

"We just need to make a small detour. We need to avoid some unneeded trouble." Airin said.

"What the hell are you talking about? What trouble could we really run into?" Kisaru asked.

"You just found it!" Both of them looked ahead and were faced with Gray and Lucy.

"So these are the two Erza was talking about?" Lucy asked.

"Yeah. That's them." Gray said. They got a good look at the two and they didn't really seem friendly. Airin had spikey brown hair and had pads over his ears. He wore a navy blue jacket that went to his knees and wore a green shirt with beige pants. Kisaru had darker brown hair with a black sports top and green pants tucked under some boots. He also had an elaborate tattoo of a shark on his right shoulder and a strange looking green mark on his left. It looked like a mix between a trident and an ankh.

"Gray Fullbuster and Lucy Heartfilia Dragneel." Airin said.

"Hold on. These two are some of the big dogs in that guild?" Kisaru said.

"Yes." Airin said. "You seem to have been aware of us. I'm a little curious. How did you find out about us?"

"You two have to try a little harder to fool someone like Erza." Gray said. "She could just sense that you two were trouble and asked us to look into it."

"So who are the two of you?" Lucy said.

"My name is Airin Boras. I hold the mark of the barracuda."

"And I'm Kisaru Hoshin. I hold the mark of the shark."

"Mark of the shark? Mark of the barracuda? What does that mean?" Lucy asked.

"Who really cares?" Gray said. "Listen, here. We don't tolerate troublemakers like yourselves around here. So how about you save us some trouble and just get lost before anyone gets hurt. Of course, I actually prefer to do it the hard way."

"Do you? What a coincidence." Kisaru said as he stepped forward. "I actually prefer it that way myself."

"Kisaru, remember why we're really here." Airin said.

"I know, but I think is the best way to do just that." Kisaru said as he didn't wait around and went on the attack. He tried to hit them, but Gray formed a wall of ice and blocked his attack.

"You asked for it." Gray said, but Kisaru pushed through and he was able to break through Gray's ice. Gray was shocked to see that.

"Is that all you got?" Kisaru said as he looked excited for a battle. Airin wanted to stay out of this, but Lucy didn't give him a chance. She pulled out her whip and it extended towards him and it wrapped around his arm.

"I've got this one!" Lucy said.

"Think again." Airin said as he somehow blew the whip off his arm. He gathered magic around his hand and launched an attack at Lucy. Lucy barely saw it coming and moved out of the way of the attack.

"Did he shot air at me?" Lucy questioned. Airin moved incredibly fast as he appeared behind Lucy. Lucy didn't have time to react as Airin gave her a pretty strong kick and knocked her in the middle of the river.

"Lucy!" Gray called.

"Worry about yourself!" Kisaru said as he tried to kick him, but Gray pulled a ninja-like move and all he hit was Gray's shirt. "The hell...?"

"Ice-Make: Hammer!" Gray tried attacking him, but Kisaru jumped out of the way of his attack. "Lucy! Are you okay?!" Water burst from where Lucy was and saw she changed forms.

"Star Dress: Aquarius Form!"

"Star Dress..." Airin said as he acknowledge the spell. Lucy used the power of her Star Dress and launched some of the water at them, but Airin used his spell and formed a barrier to block the attack.

"I knew it. It looks like he uses air magic." Lucy said.

"That's right." Airin said as he appeared right behind her. Lucy turned to him, but he kicked her legs and caused her to fall over.

'He's so fast!' Lucy thought as he couldn't believe how fast he moved. Lucy could see that whoever these two are no ordinary opponents.

"Lucy!" Gray called, but Kisaru took advantage of the small distraction and kicked him back.

"You should know better than to look away!" Kisaru said.

'Oh man. Who are these guys?' Gray thought as he was starting to see the same thing.

"Now to end this." Airin said as he was about to finish her, but he sensed another attack coming. He moved out of the way of another attack coming from behind him.

"It would seem I underestimated these two." All of them looked behind Airin and saw Erza standing on the other side of the river.

"Erza!" Lucy called as she was glad to see her.

"Erza Titania Scarlet." Airin said. "I should have known that someone like you was going to show herself eventually." Erza kept her guard up. If these two are giving Lucy and Gray a tough time, these two are pretty tough.

"Gray and Lucy, are you two doing okay? I'm sorry for asking you two to take care of these two." Erza said. "They're clearly stronger and more skilled than I thought."

"We're fine. We've only gotten started." Gray said.

"Yeah. We're still good to go." Lucy said.

"Yeah right." Kisaru said. "You guys are suppose to be some of Fairy Tail's best? I'm not really impressed. Fairy Tail is suppose to be powerful, but I'm not seeing it yet."

"Kisaru, stop it." Airin said. "We didn't come here to pick a fight in the first place. We only came here on a recon mission, to check this guild out."

"Hello. The best way to do that was to see how strong they are." Kisaru said. "I'm not sure about these two, but red over there is suppose to be one of their best."

"There's more to us than what you've seen. No one trashes our guild!" Gray said as created spikes of ice, but Kisaru jumped back and avoided them. He kicked off from the ground and moved incredibly fast over the ice with him striking Gray. Kisaru wanted this fight to keep going and Airin just went with it.

"So be it. I suppose a few are fine. So let's see what this one can do." Airin said as he launched a blast of air at Erza, but Erza dived under the water.

"Now you're in real trouble." Lucy said as she stood back up and was going to join Erza in the fight. She was ready, but Erza jumped out of the water and pushed Lucy away.

"Get back, Lucy!" Erza said as she could feel a large attack coming. Out of nowhere, an explosion of water went off.

"Erza! Lucy!" Gray called as he didn't like the looks of this. Gray launched some ice at Kisaru to keep him out of the way and jumped in to check to make sure they're safe. Kisaru jumped over himself and landed on the other side of the river as he regrouped with Airin. Gray was able to find the girls in that mess.

"You two okay?" Gray said.

"Yes. Watch yourselves. There's so much magic power emitting from these two." Erza said. "The scary part is that I'm not sure they're even trying."

"Yeah. It does seem like they're holding back. The one called Kisaru hasn't even used any magic yet, but he was able to break through Gray's ice." Lucy said.

"Who are these two?" Gray said.

"Is this really the best that guild has to offer?" Kisaru questioned.

"I don't think they've shown us all their tricks yet." Airin said.

"Just who are you two and what purpose do you have for being here?" Erza said as the three of them faced them.

"We only came here to gather info on your guild." Airin said. "You see, we are part of a powerful force and we've taken an interest in you, Fairy Tail." He close his eyes and placed his hand over his face. "I was hoping to avoid trouble because we didn't really come here to fight. However, given who we're facing at the moment, I suppose I might have to use this."

"Hold on. Are you serious? You're really going to use that against these guys?" Kisaru questioned.

"Of course. I'll take them out before they even have the chance to unleash their full power." Airin said. His movements had Erza see what he was doing.

"Close your eyes! Don't look into his eyes!" Erza called. Lucy and Gray did what she said and closed their eyes. Erza only closed one and kept another one open. "Nice try, but my artificial eye will keep any forms of visual magic from greatly affecting me."

"An artificial eye? You really think that will save you?" Airin questioned. Erza kept her guard up for whatever he might try, but she noticed something strange. The area around her changed and she found herself chained to a metal wall.

"What is this?" Erza questioned as she didn't understand. She thought her fake eye would be able to protect her from his eye magic. So how is it Erza fell victim to whatever magic he's using? These two appear to be strong both physically and with magic. Who are these two and where did they come from?
