Erza found herself chained and she couldn't move her arms and legs. She, Gray, and Lucy became weary of some mysterious visitors. They thought they wouldn't be a problem, but these two proved to be more challenging they thought.
"What is this?" Erza said as she couldn't get free.
"Comfortable, Erza?" Erza looked and saw Airin standing right before her and carried a blade.
"What have you done?" Erza questioned.
"Just relax, Erza. At the very least, try to." Airin said. "We're going to be here for a long time."
'What is going on? He was about to use some sort of spell and it looked like he needed the use of his eyes.' Erza thought. 'My artificial eye should have protected me, but it hasn't and I can't seem to break the spell with it.' Erza tried to resist, but she felt some pain. She looked down and saw Airin stabbed her.
"I told you that we were going to be here for a long time." Airin said as he pulled the blade out. "It will be just like this." Time went by so slowly for Erza and Airin just kept torturing her like that. It was hell for Erza, but none of it was real. She and Airin never went anywhere. They were still at the river with the others. Gray and Lucy had their eyes closed, but they heard Erza collapsed.
"Erza, what's wrong? Can we open our eyes?" Lucy said.
"No... Something's not right." Erza said as she was catching her breath. She looked like she was in bad shape. She could barely keep herself up.
"What happened? One second you tell us to close our eyes, the next you dropped to the ground." Gray said.
'A second? I was in there for about a week.' Erza thought. 'Whatever spell he used seems to have affected my sense of time. What did he do?'
"You know, you actually can open your eyes, dummies." Kisaru said. "Airin didn't use any visual magic."
"It's true. The magic I used was air magic." Airin said. "I just tricked her into thinking it was eye magic. The truth is that eye contact isn't needed. This spell travels through the ears."
"Say what?" Lucy questioned as she and Gray carefully opened their eyes.
"Yes. The spell is called Pressura Mutatio." Airin said. "It's a very advance spell of air magic. It changes the air pressure around you and travels through the ears and directly into the brain. It has a great affect on the brain that affects your senses. So your artificial eye was completely useless to protect you, Erza." Erza tried glaring at him, but her consciousness was starting to fade. "I'm actually impressed you're still conscious. People instantly collapse and don't wake up for days after suffering from that spell. A true testament to your strength."
"Who the hell are these guys?" Gray questioned.
"I'm not sure, but it's clear they're strong." Lucy said.
"Strong? We're not like those other pushovers you guys have dealt with." Kisaru said. "We're on a completely different level. In fact, you three will be lucky to make out of this alive!" He charged right at them over the water and was going for the kill.
"Kisaru, wait!" Airin called, but he just kept going. Gray and Lucy were ready to defend Erza, but someone beat them to the punch. Someone showed up at the last second and hit Kisaru as he was forced back to Airin.
"Who did that?!" Kisaru shouted.
"I heard a commotion and thought I come join in the fun." Lucy and Gray were glad to see who their savior was.
"Mirajane!" Lucy said. Mira entered the battle in Satan Soul and they were both grateful they showed up when they did.
"Thanks for lending a hand." Gray said.
"No problem. You're lucky I was close by." Mirajane said. She looked down at Erza and saw she was barely holding herself together. "Erza... You don't look so well."
"I'm fine..." Erza said as she tried to stand, but couldn't.
"Hold on. Mirajane? You're Mirajane the She-Devil?" Kisaru questioned.
"What if I am?" Mirajane asked. Kisaru looked even more excited as he had a big grin on his face.
"Perfect. Out of all the members of Fairy Tail, I was hoping to face you most of all." Kisaru said.
"Why is that?" Mirajane questioned.
"Because you use take over magic! I want to see how strong you are because of that and show that I'm stronger!" Kisaru said.
"I take it by the way you're talking that you use the same kind of magic that I do?" Mirajane said.
"What if I do?" Kisaru said.
"That's right." Lucy said as she realized something. "One can use air magic, but his partner hasn't used any kind of magic, yet he could fend off Gray."
"I...wasn't really trying." Gray said.
"Well, now I can have some real fun." Kisaru said, but Airin held his arm out and kept him from doing anything.
"Kisaru, that's enough." Airin said. "We didn't come here to pick a fight with the whole guild. We only came here on a recon mission. If we drag this out, the rest of the guild might show up. However, after seeing how Erza handled my spell, I think we have a general idea of their strength. We're leaving." Kisaru hated to admit it, but Airin had a point.
"Man. Things were just starting to get good." Kisaru said.
"Hold it! You're not going anywhere after what you did to Erza!" Gray said. "Who are the two of you anyway?"
"We told you our names. I am Airin, I hold the mark of the barracuda."
"And I'm Kisaru. I hold the mark of the shark."
"You do well to remember that. We will meet again, Fairy Tail." Airin said and used his magic. The air and wind stirred up as he used magic to surround both him and Kisaru in spheres of air. As he released some of his power, Lucy and the others could feel their true power and they were shocked by it.
'No way! They had this much magic power in them the whole time?!' Lucy thought. 'They're as strong as a wizard saint. Maybe even stronger. I haven't seen anyone with so much power since...' Airin and Kisaru took off to the sky and they flew away at great speed. "That was unreal. Where did those two come from?"
"They were quite powerful." Mirajane said as she returned back to her normal form. As for Erza, she tried to hold herself together, but couldn't anymore with her collapsing and scaring the others. "Erza!" They gathered around her and saw she was out of it.
"We need to get back to the guild." Lucy said.
"Right." Mirajane said. This was hard for them to believe. Those two were able to take down someone like Erza like this?
'Unbelievable. I can't believe they were able to take Erza like this. Who were those guys?' Gray thought as he didn't think Erza could get beaten like this. This looked bad and the rest of the guild wasn't going to like this.
...
The Guild
Erza was taken to the guild. When they got her there, Wendy was doing her best to help Erza. Many were shocked to see Erza in the state she was in.
"How is she, Wendy?" Lucy asked.
"I'm doing my best, but the spell that did this to her really took it's toll." Wendy said. Word was spreading like wildfire about this. When it got back to Simon, he came running in the infirmary.
"Mother!" Simon said and rushed to her side. "Is she okay?"
"She'll be fine. We really shouldn't worry too much." Wendy said. "Erza is one of the toughest people I know. I'm sure she can pull through this."
"Indeed. I've been through worse." All of them were surprised to see Erza waking up so soon. "You shouldn't concern yourselves with me." She tried to sit up, but Wendy kept her down with Erza feeling dizzy.
"Erza, you need to rest. You shouldn't move so soon." Wendy said.
"I don't think there's time for rest. Something is coming. I just know we haven't seen the last of those two." Erza said.
"Yes, but we'll be able to handle it without you. You need to rest like Wendy says." Simon said as they had her move back down. Everyone was glad Erza was going to be okay, but thinking that there was someone out there that could break her like this in the first place was a scary thought. Once it was made clear that Erza was going to recover, everyone gathered to discuss such a matter.
"So who were the guys that did this to Erza in the first place?" Laxus asked.
"I thought they were just punks, but these guys had some real power." Gray said.
"No kidding." Lucy said. "They said their names were Airin and Kisaru. They both were extremely powerful. Mira helped us out, but they both pulled away at the last moment. Erza was right. Those two will come back. They only came to see what we were made of. I just know something is coming."
"I knew something bad was going on." Nashi said.
"It doesn't matter who they were. Who cares who they are?" Natsu said as he pounded his fist into his hand. "They're not going to get off easy for what they did to Erza. If these guys want a fight, they got one."
"But where did they come from?" Lucy questioned as some of them were just as curious.
"It would seem I arrived at a good time." Everyone looked to the entrance and Nashi was glad to see who it was.
"Uncle Zeref!" Nashi said.
"Zeref? You're back?" Natsu said.
"Yes." Zeref said. "Although, it sounds like I arrived at the right time to explain what's going on, but too late before you were attacked. I know who attacked you...as well as who they serve." This didn't sound good and things are only beginning.
...
Airin and Kisaru
With Airin's magic, they were able to get back to where they were going with great speed. The three of them walked down the halls of some castle, but Kisaru didn't appear to be happy.
"I still say we should have stayed and finished them." Kisaru said.
"That was not our orders." Airin said.
"You are such a stick in the mud." Kisaru said. "I didn't see really anything special about them. We could have finished them right then and there. Not to mention Mirajane was there. You know I want to take her on and show that I'm stronger. You know how I am with take over wizards like her."
"Silence you fool." Airin said as Kisaru looked ahead and they were faced with their leader. "We have returned, our lord." Airin and Kisaru both dropped down to one knee as they were met with their leader.
"Welcome back, Airin and Kisaru." Their leader was only one person. A dark ruler that brings destruction and disaster everywhere he goes. It is none other than Ankhselam himself. "How was your trip to Magnolia?"
