Warning: noncon element, blood, violence

Shiena sighed with relief when the plane finally arrived at its destination. She never took the plane before and it wasn't an experience she was eager to do again. But flying was the best way to reach Hokkaido, the second-largest island of Japan.

The brunette was glad to have finally landed and as soon as she could, she exited the plane. She didn't have any luggage with her and instead was only carrying a travelling bag. It was much more simple that way.

Shiena didn't lose any time and called for a taxi to go to her motel. Nothing too extravagant in a rather small suburban town.

Once there, Shiena paid for her reservation and picked up her keys; room 5. It was a rather simplistic room, kind of cheap without being seedy. Shiena dropped her bag on a chair and started unpacking her stuff: a few articles of clothing, some sanitary products, snacks, and her laptop.

She then let herself fall to her bed, exhausted and in great need of a nap.

Tomorrow, she'll start her search and track down Otoya.

Shiena put her hoodie on and reajusted her sunglasses, still keeping an eye on the flower shop. Good thing that it was a rather chilly day today- she wouldn't look too weird for being overdressed and catch unwanted attention. She took a deep breath to give herself some courage and walked towards the shop and stepped inside.

It was a rather modest flower shop. Not as extravagant as the one back home. Really, there was nothing particularly special about this one, except maybe how it looked so awfully normal. Which was probably the intended goal…

The brunette froze when she saw her. She was just there, standing behind the counter, smiling at some customers- gosh, she was as beautiful as she remembered. Her pretty dark hair tied up in a ponytail, those turquoise eyes, her smile, everything was just so gorgeous about her!

Shiena vigorously shook her head.

"Stay focused, Shiena!" she reprimanded herself. "This is not why you are here!"

Honestly, she wasn't sure how to feel being so close to Otoya once again. It felt like she was back to the good old times but she knew how awful reality truly was- how bad their relationship was.

Shiena pretended to be just a regular customer, looking around as if she was searching for a specific flower while trying to not get noticed by her ex. She performed this little charade until it was the evening- the time where the store closed.

"You're fine with closing the shop again, Hasami-san?" one of the employees asked.

"Leave it to me!" 'Hasami' replied.

While all customers were starting to leave, Shiena quickly hid behind some merchandise and hoped she wouldn't be caught. She wasn't.

When everyone had finally left, Otoya locked the front door and turned off the light, before leaving out the back door.

Trying to make as little noise as possible, Shiena followed her. The room behind the door was the greenhouse. Otoya seemed to be watering some flowers. Shiena could feel her heart racing like crazy. She was starting to wonder if it was a good idea after all. Seeing Otoya again… it was bringing too many memories to her.

"No, I have to do this!" Shiena convinced herself.

She accidentally stepped on some twig and a soft crack could be heard. It was barely audible, but given how quiet the room was, it was unlikely for Otoya to not have heard it.

Shiena quickly hid behind some flowers as Otoya turned back. The brunette could feel a drop of sweat rolling from her forehead. Instinctively, she reached for her gun she was hiding in her pocket without drawing it.

Otoya looked around for a moment and shrugged before getting back to work. Shiena sighed in relief as she released her weapon.

"Show yourself, little mouse," Otoya suddenly said softly before her voice turned darker. "Unless you want the cat to eat you."

Shiena's heart skipped a beat. She spotted her! But she didn't seem to know it was her… yet.

"Don't make me look for you, little mouse. You won't like it if I have to chase you down, trust me."

Shiena hesitated for a moment before deciding to get out of her hiding spot.

"Huh? I saw you lurking around in the store. What do you want?" Otoya asked stoically.

Shit. So Otoya did notice her… but she still didn't seem to have recognized her.

"Don't tell me you already forgot me," Shiena said, forcing herself to sound smug.

"Eh? That voice…?"

Shiena removed her hoodie and sunglasses, revealing her identity. Otoya remained silent, expressionless.

"It has been a while, Oto- Takechi!" Shiena exclaimed with a smirk, discreetly holding to her gun in her pocket.

Otoya stayed quiet, still emotionless. Shiena was starting to get uneased by her lack of reaction.

"Missed me? Did the cat get your tongue?" Shiena taunted to hide her stress.

Then, much to her surprise, Otoya gave her a warm smile.

"Shiena-chan! I missed you so much!" Otoya exclaimed cheerfully.

Shiena was not expecting that. Otoya looked so… genuinely happy to see her. As if she still cared about her, still loved her-

Forgave her.

"Takechi…" Shiena started to say as her grip on her weapon grew weaker. "Otoya! I missed you too!"

"You found me… I knew you would! Only you could," Otoya said.

"Of course! Hasami Kenko! You really thought I wouldn't get it!"

Taken by a sudden impulse, Shiena stepped closer to Otoya, feeling like hugging her right now.

"Otoya… I love you! I'm so sorry for what I did! Please, forgive me!"

Shiena was now facing Otoya, who was still smiling.

"Huh? Forgiving you? What for?" Otoya asked innocently.

"You know… Telling the truth to Namatame. But it's over now. I'm not with AKA anymore. I won't betray you any more, I swear!"

"Is that so…?"

Otoya was still smiling, but it looked… darker.

"I'm sure you won't betray me anymore. After all, I don't intend to give you any more occasions to do so!"

Before Shiena could process what she heard she noticed that Otoya was holding something dangerously close to her.

"Is that… a taser…?"

A violent pain suddenly hit her, like a shock going through her entire body, and everything went black.

Shiena was welcomed by pure darkness. Something was obstructing her vision- like a blindfold of something.

Her first instinct would have been to scream for help, but that was off the table too; there was some kind of gag in her mouth preventing her from speaking.

"What the…?!"

She could feel rope digging into her skin, restraining her body against what appeared to be a chair. She tried to struggle, scream, but it was all in vain.

"Oh. You're awake, huh. Always the loud type as I can see."

Shiena could feel chills down her spine. This voice…

Right. She found Otoya and things didn't go quite as planned. Things went horribly, in fact. And that was mostly on her.

"Mmm…!" Shiena mumbled, trying to say Otoya's name.

"Eh? Sorry, I didn't quite get that. Not that it matters, really. I don't want to hear your lies anymore, Shiena."

Shiena's body started to shiver. Otoya's voice sounded so cold, so dark, so… devoid of any humanity.

"Forgiving you? Really? Did you really think I would forgive you? After lying to me? Manipulating me? Betraying me? I know better than to trust someone who bit me once, Shiena."

Shiena tried to protest, but with the gag in her mouth, it was a pathetic attempt that just sounded like muffled mumbles. Otoya sighed as she removed Shiena's gag.

"What?" Otoya asked sharply.

Shiena hesitated for a moment, her heart racing like crazy, before finally speaking.

"You… you also lied to me…! You manipulated me for months and deceived me…!"

Before Shiena could add anything else Otoya put her hand on her mouth to shut her up.

"You and I are not comparable! If you were too dumb to realize I was lying to you and manipulating you, that's on you. I'm not dumb! You lying and manipulating me like that means you thought I was stupid; that you were smarter than me! And not only that, you betrayed me! I never betrayed you, did I? I did so many things for you! I treated you well, I gave you my priceless and unconditional love, I protected you, I saved you! And this is how you thank me? By denouncing me to Namatame!? This is unacceptable, Shiena. Unforgivable!"

Otoya continued to gag Shiena with her hand until she finally let her go, allowing her to speak.

"I… I really regret it, I swear! I never meant to hurt you! I… I was scared and made a mistake. I'm sorry…!"

"It also took you so long to find me, even if I was kind and considerate enough to leave you clues of my whereabouts. It's as if you didn't care enough about me…"

"I do care about you! I swear! All I ever wanted was to see you again and apologize-"

"Then explain this!"

With a quick tug, Otoya removed Shiena's blindfold. The latter kept her eyes closed for a moment because she wasn't used to the light. When she opened her eyes, the first thing she noticed was that she appeared to be in a shed for gardening tools- probably affiliated to the flower shop. There was also her hoodie lying on the floor…

And Otoya holding her gun.

Shiena almost felt like her heart stopped beating for a moment. Otoya was standing in front of her, holding her gun so nonchalantly, while her expression was just so cold.

"I… It… was just for my personal protection-"

"From me?" Otoya interrupted.

"... Can you blame me?"

Otoya looked surprised for a moment before she cracked a smile and started laughing maniacally.

"HAHAHAHA! I suppose you are right! Not bad, not bad, Shiena-chan! You're not as dumb as I thought after all… But still…"

Otoya's expression was back at being cold and stoic.

"You betrayed me. This is not something I can take lightly. I hope you can understand that I can't forgive you. For toying with my feelings and taking advantage of my love for you, you deserve to be punished…"

Otoya's expression turned gloomier as she pulled out a pair of scissors.

"... And the punishment is death."

No words came to Shiena when she heard that. Cold sweat was dripping on her back as she smiled awkwardly.

"Y-You… You're joking, right?"

But Otoya's serious expression answered her question. She wasn't joking.

"W-Wait, Otoya…! Please, don't do that! I'm sorry! I really am. I love you!"

Tears were starting to bead from Shiena's eyes, but there was not a single shred of sympathy in Otoya's glare.

"You should have thought about it before betraying me," Otoya replied coldly.

"Oto-"

A sharp pain on her cheek interrupted Shiena. With a quick movement, Otoya had cut her. Blood started to pour from Shiena's fresh wound, dripping down her cheek.

"A… Ahhh… AHHH!"

Tears started to roll on her cheeks. Otoya's gaze changed, to look more… lustful.

"Ah… yes. I missed that feeling. Only you could bring me that kind of pleasure. A shame really that I have to kill you… But hey, now that you are here, I can experience it one last time- and I do intend to take my time."

As she said that, Otoya sat on Shiena's lap before licking the blood dripping from Shiena's cheek.

"Delicious… I missed the taste of your blood, Shiena-chan."

All Shiena could do was shiver and sob, cursing herself for actually being turned on as she was about to get tortured, raped, and killed. Otoya started leaving soft kisses on Shiena's neck, sucking on her flesh…

Before biting down.

"Ughh… ahh…!"

Otoya started to gently kiss the wounded flesh and lapped the blood clean.

"I missed your moans, Shiena-chan, and your crying voice. I will really miss you."

Shiena could feel Otoya's hand brushing her ribs before slipping under her t-shirt, caressing her belly before suddenly groping her breast.

"Ahhh…!"

"My my, no bra? You really are asking for it huh, Shiena-chan. What a naughty girl you are."

Otoya was now gently fondling Shiena's breast as she started to hump her crotch against the brunette's leg. Otoya closed the distance between them and suddenly kissed Shiena, forcing her tongue inside of her mouth. Shiena was unable to resist and could only moan inside Otoya's mouth, who looked quite pleased. Then suddenly, Otoya bit her lip hard.

"Gyaa…!"

Otoya hungrily licked clean Shiena's lip, licking down her chin to be sure to get all the blood.

"Ahhh… I'm already so wet… I don't think I'll be able to last long-"

"Get away from her, you degenerate!"

Otoya stopped what she was doing. Her face showed no particular expression, but Shiena could see that her eyes were screaming pure anger.

Otoya rose up, putting up a fake smile as she turned down.

Inspector Kurodo was standing near the door, aiming at Otoya with his gun.

"K-Kurodo!?" Shiena exclaimed.

"Tsk, so you didn't come alone huh, Shiena…"

"I… I have no idea he was here, I swear…!"

"Sorry, Kenmochi-san. I kept a close eye on you after our meeting and followed you here. Thanks for leading me to this psycho. I can finally deal with her properly!"

"I don't even know who you are," Otoya replied. "Can't you see we are busy?"

"You bastard… You don't remember me, do you?"

"Why would I remember some old man?"

"I'm not just some old man. I'm an inspector," Kurodo started to say as his gaze became darker. "And you killed my niece."

Otoya didn't answer anything at first before she suddenly smirked.

"Eh? Who? You ought to be more specific. I killed a lot of people's nieces, you see…"

"You fucking psycho…!"

Kurodo fired his gun. Otoya quickly jumped to the ground to dodge the bullet and then charged at the inspector, ready to stab him. Kurodo tried to fire again but Otoya was faster and slashed his hand, making him drop his weapon. Blood poured from his hand but he didn't care, overtaken by pure rage and hatred. He drew his baton and violently hit Otoya on the head, making her fall to the ground.

"Otoya…!"

Shiena started to struggle once again to break free from her restraints. She looked around and noticed there was a nail sticking out of the floor.

"That could work…!"

She continued to struggle enough to make the chair fall. She landed near the nail and started rubbing her restraints against it until it cut the rope. Once her hands were free, Shiena proceeded to untie the rest of them and stood up.

Kurodo was now on top of Otoya pinning her against the floor as he pressed his baton against her throat, choking her.

"Otoya…!"

Shiena noticed her gun lying on the floor. Quickly she grabbed it and aimed in their direction.

"Stop! Or I will shoot!" Shiena threatened.

Kurodo stopped pressing against Otoya's throat and looked at Shiena.

"I have to, Kenmochi-san! She's too dangerous to be left alive!"

"You don't get to choose who lives and who dies! You're a cop, not a judge and not an executioner!"

Otoya took advantage of his distraction and stabbed him in the arm. Kurodo let out a grunt of pain before picking his gun back up and aiming right at Otoya's head.

"This is for my niece...!"

POW!

The firearm resounded in the shed. Otoya was suddenly tainted in crimson, blood splattering on her face.

Kurodo fell to the floor, blood dripping from his head. He died instantly.

Otoya nonchalantly wiped the blood from her face. Shiena's hands were shaking as she dropped her weapon in utter shock.

She just shot someone. She just killed someone.

Shiena dropped to her knees, feeling awfully nauseous. She couldn't stop her tears from falling and started to cry.

"W-What… What I have done!?"

Shiena was reduced to a sobbing mess, shocked by the sin she had committed.

"Shiena…"

Shiena raised her head, to discover that Otoya was standing right in front of her. With everything that happened, Shiena almost forgot about her- about how frightened she was by her and the prospect of dying.

But now, she couldn't care less. She would gladly accept death if it freed her from this awful feeling of guiltiness that was eating up her soul.

But the final blow never came. Instead, Shiena felt a gentle hand pat her head and stroke her hair.

"You did well, Shiena-chan. I'm proud of you. You saved me."

"But…! I… I killed him! I murdered an innocent man!"

"He wasn't innocent. He tried to kill me after all. As a cop, someone who is supposed to stand for justice, isn't it unforgivable that he tried to murder me for vengeance?"

Shiena was unable to answer this and instead just continued to cry. In desperate need for comfort, she clung to Otoya's legs, still sobbing on her knees.

"Shhh, it's alright, Shiena-chan. You did nothing wrong. You protected me. You proved to me that you were worthy of my trust again."

When she heard those words, Shiena stopped sobbing for a moment.

"Does it mean… you will forgive me?"

For the first time today, Otoya gave her a smile that seemed genuine, before she crouched down to hug Shiena.

"Of course. I forgive you, Shiena-chan. I know now how much you care about me and love me," Otoya said softly into Shiena's ear. "And I love you too."

Shiena's heart started to race and she hugged Otoya back.

"I love you! I promise I won't break your trust again!"

Otoya started rubbing her back and petting her hair.

"I'm sure you won't, Shiena-chan."

Hey, everything is getting for the best... right?

Shiena should really google the definition of Stockholm Syndrome...
