Series 2, Episode 61 ~ House of Trades

Camilla wasn't surprised to see Jerome and Mara whispering together as they walked into breakfast, the familiar feelings of jealousy flaring up in her even though she knew they probably were discussing the strange message from Trudy. After spotting the 'help me' Jerome had become very hush hush with Camilla the night before and she knew there was something he was hiding from her. Thankfully Mara had more than enough to say for the two who had gone silent and Camilla quickly found an excuse to leave the girls room to go back to the Sibuna's.

Mara's chatting or worrying as it had been the night before had clearly not stopped and Camilla slumped down in her chair as she watched the pair sit themselves down– only to be kicked under the table by Amber. Clearly, her jealousy was showing a little too obviously.

'no guy likes a jealous girl Camilla, plus it gives your wrinkles'.

Thankfully a distraction came as Patricia and her doubled walked into the dining room as everyone sat down, "You're probably wondering who this is," she told them all as Piper gave the room a bright smile. "meet Piper!" she told them all as the boys all gasped at the sight of two Patricia's.

"Finally had to come clean?" Camilla laughed as the girl sat down.

"Dad found out..." Eddie muttered from beside her, Jerome having taken his seat to keep talking to Mara leaving the only one open next to Camilla.

"At least this isn't like the time I knocked out the school's Wi-Fi Network" Patricia spoke up patting Camilla on the shoulder as the two girls rounded the table to sit either side of Joy, causing the Anubis house members who remembered that incident to nod their heads. Patricia could be lethal with a laptop sometimes and the teachers didn't believe it until that moment in time.

"Finally, someone who understands the pains of having a twin," Fabian spoke up trying to break the odd tension in the room, causing Piper to laugh as she sat down in her chair.

"that's the exact thing Camilla said."

This comment caused the Rutter twins to look at each other with mock glares causing laughter from around the table.

"This makes sense..." Alfie smiled smittenly at Piper causing Amber to frown at the pair. The same green-eyed monster she had just told Camilla off for showing in her own expression, causing the female Rutter twin to happily kick her blonde friend and raise an eyebrow at her.

Amber glanced to Camilla and nodded her head; they would get through this together. Sibuna Sisters.

Keeping a green-eyed monster, a bay was not something either girl seemed very good at. The two stood by Amber's open locker watching Alfie and Jerome down the corridor, Mara had just left Jerome causing the boy to watch her go before turning around to talk to Alfie who was staring up the corridor (past Amber and Camilla) to where Piper was stood waiting to go into Mr Sweet's office.

"that's all we need," Jerome's voice floated up the corridor, "two of them. You coming?"

"Yeah... in a minute..." Alfie agreed with the boy.

Jerome sent Camilla a smile as he passed the two girls, but something was off about it. It didn't reach his eyes which were filled with worry, a new thing she had noticed since he got the letter from Jasper. Whenever his eyes fell on her or Fabian they instantly filled with worry.

Alfie rushed over to talk to Piper who sent him a bright smile causing Amber to let out a soft 'Hmf' crossing her arms slightly.

"Amber don't worry, it's a fling. Alfie is really in love with you," Camilla told her as she pulled another cupcake from her bag – she had turned this jealousy thing into eating it felt like the best way to deal with it. Amber sent her friend a look, "What?" Camilla told her as she bit into the cupcake, "I'm magic, I know these things."

"Love?" Amber asked a slight pink flush crossing her cheeks at the word Camilla used.

"Love," Camilla told her with a nod of her head, "and you like the sound of that cos you are blushing."

"Okay, I don't blush, I glow," Amber corrected Camilla with a smile.

Thankfully Eddie seemed to be on Team Amfie too as before Alfie could speak to Piper the American boy had moved in front of him so he couldn't, "So little miss stand in..." Eddie grumpily spoke up looking to Piper.

Joy had told both Williamson twins the twin swap on the date would be a bad idea, Camilla just thought the whole idea was hilarious which was why she was chucked from the girl's room as they got ready the night before. The date was a complete disaster on an epic proportion which Eddie happily complained loudly about too both Rutter twins – seeing as they knew who his dad was – on the walk to school.

Eddie's voice caught the attention of the girls who turned back to hear the conversation, Camilla nudging Amber to go grab Alfie as Eddie needed to talk to Piper alone. Amber flushing slightly more, before tossing her hair over her shoulder and rushing over to Alfie giving him a bright smile before dragging him away.

"can I speak to you for a moment?" Eddie spoke softly, looking around to make sure no one was listening only to see Camilla leaning on her locker munching on a cupcake not being subtle about her eavesdropping. "you know when we..." he trailed off looking to Piper, "Kissed, I didn't know..."

"Neither did I," Piper told him honestly.

"so, should we tell her?"

"no!" Piper was quick to say to him, knowing telling Patricia she had kissed her boyfriend meant instant death. "have you met Patricia?"

"I know!" Eddie agreed slightly, "I feel bad..."

"you couldn't feel worse than me."

Before the lovely future In-Law chat could continue Mr Sweet came out of his office, causing the two teens to straighten up and look at him, "Piper, ready for you now." Piper sent Eddie a small smile before turning and entering Mr Sweet's office.

Eddie let out a sigh and trudged over to Camilla, "Cupcakes?" he asked as he leaned on the locker next to her with a defeated sigh.

"I'm eating this cupcake right now because it's my unbirthday," She explained simply.

Eddie let out a weak chuckle, "and here I thought it was because someone was jealous of Jerome's increasing time with Mara..." Camilla squinted her eyes at him, but that was the only indication he had hit a nerve causing the American boy to laugh. Amun Academy may come with drama but it had also given him some friendships he never expected.

"There are twice as many symbols on Victor's chart than on the chamber wall," Fabian exhaled as he compared the two photos. Nina had called a Sibuna lunch meeting and they were all gathered in the student hall discussing Nina's big find the night before.

"and still nothing from the dollhouse," Nina added in frustration, "we're this close to the mask chamber and Victor's gonna beat us to the punch."

"God Nina calm down," Camilla groaned from next to Amber. Honestly, the girl was slowly getting on her nerves. Yes, she knew this was important but her being all angsty about it was not helping them at all. "plus, I still don't think Victor is the main issue..."

"Look," Fabian spoke up quickly interrupting his sister, as Camilla went to start her normal Victor isn't a bad guy rant. Reading the look in his sisters' eye and the puckered look on Nina's face all too well. The last thing the Sibuna's needed right now was the two of them fighting. They needed to focus and act like one if they wanted to complete this task. "we have as many clues as he has," Fabian tried to reassure Nina, knowing the bigger battle was keeping her focused. Camilla, for him, was easier. If he was going to be a part of this task, he knew so would she, "and you're not seriously suggesting he's smarter than we are."

"We have two Egyptian geeks to his one," Amber added patting Camilla's knee as she scoffed causing a smile to appear on Nina's face at her friend's words.

"he is luckier than us, you've got to admit." Patricia sighed slightly, glancing to the door again as Piper still hadn't come out of Sweetie's office yet - and she didn't know if that was a good or bad thing.

"Still, none of that means anything without his amulet," Nina told them all, getting to the real point of why she had called the meeting. "We've got to get it off him."

The school bell rang and the Sibuna's got to their feet, rushing down the corridor to the English classroom the sounds and chatter of their classmates filling their ears. Camilla sighed and leaned her head on Amber's shoulder as she looked around at their peers, it felt like a lifetime ago they were simply students without death looming over them at any moment.

"Do you miss it?" Amber asked as she followed Camilla's eye line, "life before Sibuna."

"A little," Camilla honestly told her, "but Sibuna brought me you," she told her best friend with a smile, which Amber happily returned. "Life knows me and you are a forever thing, Amber,"

"Sister's forever." Amber agreed with a nod of her head, squeezing Camilla's arm before the two settled down at their desk.

"QUIET!" At Mr Sweet shout, the classroom fell silent as the last stragglers sat down in their seats and students turned round to look at the bumbling headteacher. "I have an announcement. Patricia..." the headteacher gestured for the girl to come to the front. Everyone looked around as Patricia got up from her seat, looking as confused as everyone else, and made her way up to the front of the classroom. "Patricia's sister, Piper..." at her name Piper walked into the room and gave them all a small wave, "will be joining you for a short time." As Mr Sweet leaned in to whisper something to the two girls Amber and Camilla both turned to look to one another – this would be interesting.

"I think Piper will be a right asset to the school during her stay," Mr Sweet spoke up as Patricia looked away from the man and her sister annoyed at whatever she had just been told, "so I would like you all to give her a very warm welcome." With that Mr Sweet led the applause for the girl who sent him an embarrassed smile from the doorway.

Victor lined up the Anubis house residents the moment they arrived back to the house after school, making them stand in silence as they waited for the Williamson girls. The front door slammed and they all looked at one another, their wait wouldn't be for much longer.

"Why do you even want to come here?!" Came Patricia's angry tone followed by the girl as she stormed into the living room, Piper close on her heels. The two clearly in the middle of an argument.

The Anubis house residents watched on in awe as Patricia took on someone who could fight her back at an equal measure. There weren't many twin fights in the house, mainly because Camilla and Fabian weren't those kinds of twins. They were so different they didn't need to fight, and due to their parents not giving them much attention and their grandparents dying so close after their 7th birthday they learned early on they needed each other so they couldn't fight. So, watching a full-on twin spat was new for all Anubis residents.

"we have the worst music room ever; our guitars are all string-less so we use them as drums!"

"Eric phoned mum and dad," Piper happily snapped back at Patricia in the exact same tone as her sister, "that was the only way to calm them down!"

"ohhh, Eric, now is he? I know you wrapping everyone around your finger." Patricia hissed at her sister, "this is my school! You have no intentions of going back to the Academy, do you?! Tell me why?!"

Thankfully Piper was saved a response as Victor decided to cough loudly, having had enough of the dramatics for one day. Both Williamson girls whipped their heads around to see the Anubis Housemates awkwardly standing lined up in front of the dining room table, all of them trying to play off what they had heard as cool and failing miserably.

"Patricia," Victor spoke up in a sweet voice causing a bubble of a laugh to come from Camilla who was quickly elbowed silent by Fabian who stood next to her, the smile on Victor's face growing ever so slightly at the laugh he heard, "would you be kind enough to join us, please. Piper you are excused."

Patricia glared at her sister before moving off to join the house line up, Piper looking at them all before hurrying from the room, leaving the Anubis House residents to the hands of Victor.

The moment Patricia joined the line, Victor stepped back and pointed to Vera so the woman could talk to the students. "Gustav Ziestack is visiting tomorrow," this caused groans from the twins as they looked at one another, hating the news already. Vera kept talking as if there had been no interruptions from the pair, "and we are throwing a dinner here in his honour."

"Of course, we are," the twins muttered to one another, knowing they would have to somehow attend that dinner at Gustav's insistence.

"so, WE," Vera spoke loudly glaring at the pair who dared to interrupt her, getting an eye roll from one and a nervous cough from the other, "need volunteers for service." Vera paused to look at the students, from the opposite side of Fabian, Nina raised her hand before forcing Amber to do the same. Camilla crossing her arms because like hell was she going to play waiter (this could be her upbringing talking but she had some standards, and from the looks of Amber's face she couldn't believe Nina was forcing her to lower her's). Patricia's hand shot into the air as she saw the other two girls volunteering.

Vera smiled at the girls before looking over the rest of the housemates, "And, eh, and entertainment..."

Fabian looked slightly excited as he looked up and down the line of students before nervously raising his hand, "I... I play a little guitar..."

"good..." Vera didn't look very happy with the idea, "good... anyone else?"

"I can do magic!" Alfie raised his hand, "Amber what's that behind your ear?" the boy pushed a strand of hair behind the blonde ear before producing a coin in his hands, he showed the coin to Vera before making it disappear with a squeeze of his fist.

The housemother let out a delighted laugh at the show of magic, causing Victor to raise his eyebrows at the boy in a sympathetic way. As if the 'magic' was less than him, which Camilla understood, once upon a time Victor could do displays of real magic.

"Bravo!" Vera told the boy with a smile, "Victor perhaps Alfie should top the billing?"

Victor looked less than pleased with this but he knew not to argue when cornered, "Fine..." he murmured before looking at the students, "Mr Rutter, you will be eating with us, and you too Miss Rutter. Gustav asked for you two specifically," Victor told them both bluntly.

"I can't, wait." Camilla sarcastically spoke up, looking to her brother who looked as pleased as she did at the prospect. A dinner with Gustav, not an ideal use of their time at the moment.

"You do magic?" Amber asked Alfie in awe as the Sibuna's walked into the girl's bedroom, Camilla and Amber going straight for the girl's wardrobe knowing they needed to find the girl the right dress for tomorrow night. As much as she was going to hate the whole thing Camilla at least wanted to look good.

"Is that the sound of you regretting breaking up with me?" Alfie asked as he pulled out Camilla's desk chair and sat down on it, his feet going onto the wooden box at the end of her bed as he crossed his arms watching the pair by the wardrobe. Amber rolled her eyes but didn't say anything, Camilla being the only one close enough to her to see the blush form on her cheeks at the boy's words.

"Please," Amber told him, as she focused on the clothes in front of her, "and FYI," she told him from the mirror, "your welcome Patricia number 2,"

"Alfie," Alfie's head turned towards Fabian at the call of his name but not quick enough that Camilla didn't see the slight hurt look on his face. That was when she quickly realised what he was doing, he was using Piper to make Amber jealous. "you haven't done it in years," Fabian told the boy, "remember that rabbit he tried to disappear?" Fabian asked the room at large, "before it bred out of control in Victors rose garden..."

"he still misses those roses," Camilla nodded remembering in incident Fabian was talking about.

"I did get Bilbo back, but I could never really be sure it was him." Alfie wistfully spoke causing them all to laugh. "Guys! A table magician uses objects from the audience, right? Right?" he looked around at them all to see them looking blankly at him.

"eh, sure?" Fabian shrugged looking to Camilla who pulled a face at her brother. Her knowledge of magic was the stuff she was studying, not the magic Alfie knew.

"I could just do the disappearing Amulet trick on Victor!" Alfie explained his plan to them, before he held his hand out to Fabian, "Fabian, give me your watch..."

"oh..." Fabian started to stutter a disagreement but Alfie insisted and the pushes from Nina and Patricia didn't help. Camilla watched with tension as he handed over their grandfather's watch – one of the few things they had left of him.

Alfie pulled out a handkerchief, from god knows where, and placed the watch into the handkerchief before pushing it up his sleeve.

'what is he doing?' Fabian mouthed to Amber and Camilla who had stopped looking at dressed to watch the magic show of Alfie's.

Alfie then took off his own watch and show them it with a bright smile, which he then placed in an identical handkerchief. "now watch." He told them, before waving his hands over his fist which was holding a handkerchief, before he did a weird movement with his arm, "so I have now swapped it for the fake one, and the next bit is theatre,"

"Alfie!" Fabian spoke up nervously.

Alfie ignored the boy and placed a handkerchief down on a seat.

"Alfie!"

"Alfie no!" Camilla joined in the chorus with her brother as Alfie picked up one of Amber's high heels and started to bash on the handkerchief like a mad man.

"ALFIE!" The twins screamed causing the boy to stop and look at them with a smile.

"relax guys," he told them, "its just magic... observe..." with that he lifted the handkerchief to show the twins the broken pieces of their grandpa's watch.

Fabian let out a noise of distress as he ran over to the chair, Camilla on his heels, "Camilla..." He quietly squeaked in disbelief.

"That wasn't important was it?" Alfie asked the girls.

"Just their grandfather's watch..." Amber softly spoke giving the twins a sympathetic look.

"I know I can do it," Alfie told them all honestly, "its just a straight swap."

"Okay Alfie," Nina spoke up as the twins huddled around the broken pieces of the watch as if it was a dying child, knowing the two were not going to be much help. "we are desperate here, we'll let you do the disappearing act with the amulet, but no SMASHING."

"And Practice!" Fabian added with a distressed cry.

"who said anything about it being purely Alfie magic... we have Camilla magic," Patricia added trying to bring them some hope, though it did little in the way of bringing any to them.

A trip to the tunnels was the last thing they needed, but Nina knew the twins needed to be distracted from their family heirloom being smashed so it felt right.

"Its extra dark in here," Patricia noted as they all looked around the task chamber.

"The sun's ray's cant be reflected right now," Fabian explained with a wave of his hand, Camilla adding to the explanation as she pointed to the huge globe on the ceiling.

"Why does the zodiac in Victor's notebook have twice as many symbols?" Nina asked as she wandered over to the wall the zodiac was on.

Fabian sighed and lifted his phone as he looked at the zodiac Nina was talking about, "Well, the symbol for mirror... Cam could you?" he looked to his sister who nodded, she knew the symbols as well as Fabian she could help him explain, shining her torch on the one he was talking about. "and since one of the reflectors is a mirror, I just assumed that all the reflectors were going to be mirrors." He told the Sibuna's.

"Or made of glass, or along those lines," Camilla finished for him, causing a nod of Fabian's head.

"So, you'd need another clue to narrow it down," Nina spoke absentmindedly.

"Well if you look..." the Sibuna's all gathered around the small screen as Fabian pointed at the full zodiac, "one clue for Mirror..."

"Right opposite the clue for music." Nina gasped as Fabian's finger pointed to the music symbol. "so it's the mirror in the music box."

"So its two symbols per clue?" Amber summarised easily.

Camilla shone her torch back up at the wall, "we think these ones, one the wall, are what the reflector is... and it's opposite..."

"Is the clue to where we'd find it," Fabian ended the theory for his sister.

"Well, one down six to go!" Nina excitedly spoke to them.

"well I suggest you hurry child," the voice of the spirit was not one Camilla wanted to hear, not today. "men have crossed the great desert at speed... watch the timepiece!" she threatened them all before disappearing.

"LOOK JUST LEAVE HER ALONE!" Fabian screamed at the air she once was in, seeing the worried glance Nina gave Camilla who's expression had darkened.
