"H...H...Hy...Hylla," Reyna choked out. She stared at the decapitated head of her sister and blinked a few times. This couldn't be happening. Hylla was fine. This was just some kind of sick dream. The Mistveil was messing with her again. "Hylla."

Reyna watched Hylla's blood spill onto the deck, staining the wood. She looked down and stared at the blood. That couldn't belong to Hylla. It could not be the blood of her older sister. Reyna felt a knot forming in her stomach, and there something cold shot through her chest.

"Let's make a deal," Damon said. Reyna didn't even look at him. She just stared at Hylla's body. This was just a dream. It was only a dream, and she was going to wake up from it. Reyna closed her eyes tightly and tried to calm down. She just needed to breathe and focus on waking up. "Oh captain, we have business to speak of."

Reyna didn't answer him. She just focused on trying to wake up. This couldn't be happening. Hylla was alive. All Reyna had to do was wake up. All she had to do was open her eyes and be back on the ship. Reyna prayed to all of the gods that she would wake up and be back on the ship.

The cold feeling in her chest became worse, and she found it hard to breathe. Everything came out in a struggled gasp like something was squeezing the air out of her lungs. Tears came to her eyes, but there was no need to cry. Hylla was alive. She could not be dead. Hylla was not fucking dead.

Two hands let go of her arms, and a foot slammed into Reyna's back. Reyna fell forward onto the deck, right into the blood of her sister. As some of it splashed into her mouth, she gagged on it and tried to scramble away. Someone sat on her back and forced her face into the blood.

"Do you taste the blood of your sister?" Kendall asked. Reyna tried to lift her head, but Kendall didn't let her. She just pressed Reyna's face right into the blood. Reyna was forced to breathe through her nose, and her stomach twisted as she smelled iron.

Reyna closed her eyes tightly. Someone knelt by her and spoke, "We have business to discuss captain. I want those Greek demigods. Then, the rest of your crew can go free."

Reyna wanted to yell that they were gone, but if she opened her mouth, she would taste the blood again. Kendall lifted her head. Reyna slowly spoke, "They're gone."

"I do recall you saying that you sent them away, but my terms are still the same. Give me the demigods, and I will spare your crew. Well, what's left of it," Damon said. He looked around. "If you decline, I will slaughter everyone."

"Oh come on, Reyna. This is your first act as a captain," Kendall taunted. "This is going to set the precedent for your reign."

Reyna tried to speak, but she was slammed back into the deck. More of Hylla's blood hit her mouth, and she choked on it. This was Hylla's blood. But, it couldn't be. This had to be a dream. Reyna just needed to wake up. She just needed to open her eyes and be out of this nightmare.

"You don't want to disappoint your sister," Damon whispered. Reyna was forced to look up again, and she stared at the decapitated head of her sister. Reyna tried to pull away, but Kendall held her in place. Damon moved Hylla's head close enough to Reyna that their noses were touching.

Reyna closed her eyes tightly and felt sick. Her stomach started to do flips, and drawing in each breath became a struggle. Damon spoke, "Open your eyes captain."

"St..stop," Reyna choked out. The cold feeling in her chest spread throughout her body, and all she wanted to do was wake up from this nightmare. "Please."

"Open your eyes and look at your sister. Tell her that you are going to let her entire crew die, and all of her work is going down the drain. How were you suppose to make Hylla proud if you can't even make a decision?" Damon questioned. Reyna felt Damon push Hylla's head into hers.

Reyna's eyes unwilling opened, and she stared at the cold, dead eyes of her sister. This wasn't a nightmare. Hylla was dead. Her older sister was dead. Reyna spoke in a stutter, "Hylla."

Damon threw Hylla's head into Reyna's chest. She involuntarily caught the head and stared down at it. Reyna wasn't able to breathe, and she dropped the head. She turned away and felt bile in the back of her throat. Reyna tried to calm down, but it was no use. She gagged on the bile and then vomited.

When her stomach was empty, Reyna started to retch. She could still taste Hylla's blood in her mouth, and that only made her retch more. Someone laughed and pulled Reyna to her feet. They shoved her right next to the body of Hylla.

Reyna felt tears coming to her eyes, and she tried to keep it together. Her eyes slowly moved around to her crew. They were all staring in shock. Each one had a sword to their necks. Reyna swallowed back the bile and blinked rapidly.

"Let them go," Reyna whispered. She swallowed painfully and cleared her throat. "Please just let them go."

A hand roughly grabbed Reyna's face, and she was forced to look up at Kendall. The traitor smiled coldly at her. Kendall spoke, "We already gave you an offer. There is no room for negotiation."

"They shouldn't be involved," Reyna whispered. She couldn't raise her voice, and she was practically shaking. Tears leaked out of her eyes. Reyna couldn't hold it together anymore. She just needed to get her crew out of there before she broke down.

"You're not very good at this begging thing," Kendall commented. "Do you even want them to live? If you do, you have to beg."

Reyna looked down and remained silent. Tears slipped from her face and hit the deck, mixing with her sister's blood. A heavy boot to the head sent her tumbling back into the blood. Reyna whimpered and closed her eyes tightly.

"I told you to beg," Kendall snapped. Reyna buried her face in the blood, and her shoulders shook as she cried. Her sister was dead. Hylla was dead, and it was all Reyna's fault. She should have known the Mistveil would attack them. Why didn't she prepare for this?

There was a yell of pain. Reyna felt Kendall grab her hair and force her to look up. Through tears and blood, she saw Maurice being dragged forward. He was forced to his knees, and Damon placed a sword to the back of Maurice's neck.

"Stop," Reyna whispered. Damon raised the sword. "Stop! I'll beg. Just stop!"

"Then beg," Damon ordered. He lowered the sword and placed it back to Damon's neck. Reyna tried to swallow back tears She took shaky breaths and tried to calm herself down. If she did whatever Damon wanted, he had to let her crew go. "Get on your damn knees and beg for mercy."

Kendall let go of Reyna and stepped away. Reyna struggled to get to her knees. Her arms were shaking, and she was forced to put her hands on the bloodstained deck to make it to her knees. Reyna stared down at the still warm blood of her sister, and the grief was starting to be replaced with something else. Something like anger filled her veins, but this was more than just anger. It was pure rage.

"Reyna, don't listen to them," Maurice said. Reyna slowly looked at him. Before Maurice could continue, a Mistveil pirate clamped his mouth shut.

"Are you going to endanger the remnants of your crew because you cannot beg properly?" Kendall asked. Reyna looked back down at the blood. Her eyes moved to Hylla's body. These fucking bastards killed Hylla, and if they thought for one second that Reyna would give in to their demands, they were wrong.

Reyna suddenly grabbed Hylla's knife and turned. She went to stab Kendall in the chest. Two Mistveil pirates immediately slammed her to the ground. Reyna stared as Damon brought his sword across Maurice's throat and then kicked him to the ground.

Reyna watched Maurice gasp and choke for air. He moved both hands to his throat, but upon making eye contact with Reyna, he gave her a small salute. Reyna tried to fight the two pirates that held her down, but it was no use.

"Kill them all," Damon sneered. He walked towards Reyna and spat down at her. "Pick the stupid bitch up."

Reyna was pulled to her feet. She struggled with the two Mistveil pirates, but they had an iron grip on her. One kicked her in the back of the leg, and she fell to her knees. All Reyna could do was watch as the rest of the crew was slaughtered. Reyna tried to look away, but Damon forced her to watch.

Some pirates were decapitated with one quick movement. Others had their throats slit and were left to bleed out. A select few were stabbed in the chest. One or two pirates, the ones who always hated Kendall, were choked to death. All Reyna could do was watch and wish that the mixture of blood and tears in her eyes kept her from seeing everything.

When the slaughter was done, Reyna stared at all of the bodies of her pirates. They were the pirates who pledged their loyalty to her and Hylla. It was Reyna's fault they were dead. This was all her fault. Hylla was dead because of her. The crew was dead because of her.

Reyna stared at the now blood red deck. More tears leaked out of her eyes, and she didn't try to stop them. Kendall turned towards her and spoke, "We could have worked things out. You failed. Now, we are going to kill you."

Kendall picked up Hylla's knife from the ground and examined it. Reyna struggled with the two Mistveil pirates, but they didn't let her move. Reyna gasped as she was stabbed in the stomach. Kendall twisted the knife, and Reyna hissed in pain. She refused to give Kendall the reaction that she wanted.

"I thought that wound healed," Kendall said as she twisted the knife more and more. Tears came to Reyna's eyes. "Captain Damon, should we have some fun with her before we kill her?"

"I'm going to kill you," Reyna hissed. She looked in between Damon and Kendall. "I am fucking going to kill both of you. I swear on the River fucking Styx that I am going to kill each and every bastard that calls themselves a Mistveil pirate. Your crew will burn."

Kendall laughed. Damon let out a deep sigh and looked at the ground. He made a sign like he was warding off evil. Damon seemed to mutter a prayer. Reyna stared at him, but she tensed as Kendall grabbed the knife once again, not seeming to notice her captain's reaction.

"And, how do you plan on doing that?" Kendall asked. She stabbed the knife deeper and then tore it completely across Reyna's stomach. The pirates let go of Reyna, and she collapsed to the ground. Reyna brought both hands to her stomach and tried to stop the bleeding.

Reyna choked on a yell as a sword was stabbed through her back and out her chest. She whimpered in agony and felt herself starting to drift away. Reyna had to stay awake. She had to stay alive and fulfill her vow. The sword twisted, but she didn't have the strength to cry out. Fear shot her as she realized that this was the same place she had been stabbed in her dream. Was the dream warning her that she was going to die?

"Captain, should we burn the ship?" Kendall asked. Reyna tried to look up at him. The sword was pulled from her chest, and she whimpered in pain. The sword, her own cutlass, was thrown to the side a moment later.

"No. We wait for this piece of shit to bleed out, and we leave this ship here as a warning," Damon said. His eyes moved to the side. Reyna slowly followed his gaze. She could have sworn that she saw someone watching them. "No. Dump her in the water. Let the sea take her."

Two pirates grabbed Reyna by her arms and started to drag her. Reyna stared at the ground and watched all of the blood that seemed to be left behind as she was dragged. Her world was getting darker by the second. She wasn't sure how deep the wound was or if her intestines were also littering the ship

Reyna felt the two pirates stop near the edge of the ship, and she was pulled to her feet. Her knees instantly gave out, and the world disappeared for a few moments. When she came to, she had been shoved against the railing. Her eyes focused on the body of her sister.

"The two of you will be reunited soon. May you rot in Hades," Damon sneered. He nodded to his pirates, and they shoved Reyna over the railing. Reyna hit the water but didn't even feel it. Water filled her lungs, and whatever blood she had left in her mixed with the sea.

As Reyna sank downwards, her gaze focused on the sun that barely shone through the water. This was how she was going to die. Alone and at the bottom of the sea. Reyna failed to help the demigods. The Mistveil was going to find the rest of their crew and murder them. Reyna's eyes finally closed, and as her life faded away, her only thoughts were of being reunited with her sister.
