A/N: This is not The Tales of version of Percy Jackson and the Greek Gods or Percy Jackson and the Greek Heroes, but rather The Tales of version of a book I got of Greek and Roman Mythology I got in Rome Italy. The settings will be after 'The Tales of the Heroes of Olympus: The Blood of Olympus' so please read that before getting in this story. Think of this story as something to pass by until The Trials of Apollo books.
Alcathous
I'm going to start with the lesser known Alcathous.
He was son of Porthaon and Euryte. He was thought to been murdered by his nephew Tydeus or put to death by Oenomaus when he became a suitor of Hippodamia.
He's not the last guy brought up because of Hippodamia so remember her name for later.
Second Alcanthous was son of Pelops and Hippodamia.
When King Megareus had a son who had been killed by a lion, and had promised the hand of his daughter Evacchme to anyone who could kill the beast. Alcathous was the one that succeeded, and he gained the reward, and throne of Onchestus. In doing so he also deserted his previous wife Pyrgo.
With Apollo's help Alcathous rebuilt the walls of Megara. The stone on which Apollo laid his lyre while working on the wall would give out a musical sound when struck with a pebble.
Alcanthous' son Ischepolis was killed in the infamous Calydonian boar hunt. Then his other son Callipolis interupted the sacrifice to Apollo to give Alcanthous the news. Alcanthous, angered and thinking his son wanted to offend the gods, killed him with a blazing log.
Alcanthus also had a daughter Iphinoe, whose tomb could be seen at Megara.
Yep, there's one of your ancient greeks example of a father behavior. I'm guessing much of it has to do with fates payback for ditching his wife for a kingdom.
Next is a daughter of Pelias and how she had nopart in in her father's murder by Medea.
