Once they got home, Ricky went straight into the flat to put Emilia down for her nap whilst Brax tried to phone Heath to ask what was going on. When he was on the phone, Casey and Denny walked out to ready to leave for their date, noticing Kyle was in the kitchen doing a bowl of food for Bruno.

"Back already?" Casey asks.

"Yeah, Emilia was sick down me and she was due a nap soon. Ricky's in the flat putting her down." Kyle replies.

"What about Brax?"

"He needed to make a call, to Heath I think. He didn't really say much about it."

"Right, okay." Casey nods.

"You heading off now?" Kyle asks.

"Yep, all ready now." Casey smiles down at Denny.

"What've you actually got planned?"

"It's a surprise but we'll need to stop off at the diner first." Casey says.

"You haven't made our first proper date since being married at the diner have you?" Denny asks, sounding a little disappointed.

"No, of course I haven't. We need to stop there to get something, then we'll be heading off on our date. Trust me, this is going to be the best date we've ever been on." Casey smiles.

"I'll have to take your word on it." She says with a smile.

"Anyway, we better head off to make it in time." Casey says. "Can you remember to leave the door on the latch later as I don't know what time we'll be back."

"If I feel like it." Kyle smirks as they walk out. "There we go boy." He says as he puts the dog bowl on the floor for Bruno.

Meanwhile in the flat, Brax had just come off the phone to Heath as Casey and Denny walked off down the path. He glanced in the house, seeing Kyle sat at the table on his phone, so he shut the door to think about what he was going to do.

"Is everything okay?" Ricky asks.

"Heath was called into the police station earlier by Kat as she wanted to talk to him. Apparently they've got a pretty strong lead after looking in the FED and nurse, and there's CCTV pictures of them with a baby on different days, meaning it's not just them babysitting or whatever. It wouldn't make sense if they were." Brax starts. "But Kat said there's nothing anywhere to say she's had her own kid or them singing up for adoption agencies."

"So it could be Lillie?" Ricky asks.

"It's possible. Heath's gone with them to see and is going to call me as soon as he knows more. He said it's up to me to decide whether Kyle knows about the new search or not as he knows this could backfire." Brax replies.

"Well that must be a good thing. You've been spending the most amount of time with Kyle since he came home, so you'd be the best person to determine whether he's ready or not. But if this is a strong lead, maybe it's best to tell him. Kyle's stronger now and he's got a lot of support with all of us, so bare that in mind." Ricky says.

"Yeah you're right. Maybe I should tell him in case it is. If not, we'll deal with it." Brax says, glancing over at his daughter's cot. "Will you be okay here? I know you wanted to check a few potential clients out."

"There's more important things to do first. I can go later when you've told Kyle." Ricky says, smiling at him before walking over to the couch.

"What happens if this is just a false lead and they really did have their own kid?" Heath asks Kat and she drives down the road in convoy with other police cars.

"Well there would be questions about how they did when there is no records of it anywhere, not even pregnancy pictures on their social medias. If the baby is of a DNA match to them then social services will place the baby into temporary foster care until a family member can look after it, or a close friend. It the baby isn't a match we'll have to do an investigation into how they got the child without going through the necessary processes such as adoption or surrogacy with an official company." Kat explains as they take a right down another country road.

"You said there's an arrest warrant for an attempted abduction, what's that about?"

"When looking up Ryan Shaw in our police force database, it came up that he was a registered sperm donor. Him and Jasmine tried to take a baby after wanting her in their lives but did it without consent from the company, as its not part of their rules. The mother took out an AVO which they continuously went against." Kat replies. "But these charges were wiped from the FEDs database and as we don't have the same systems as them, it wasn't wiped for us. So regardless of whether the baby is Lillie or not, we'll be arresting them. At that stage, you won't be getting involved and are to keep quiet if they address you on anything. You're just a witness to their arrests."

"A witness for an arrest? Didn't know that was a thing." Heath scoffs.

"It was the only way McCarthy could authorise you being there when we scope the place out. A ex-con with us during something like this wouldn't go down well, so you are to stay anonymous. They ask for your name, you don't say a word." Kat firmly says.

"Got it." Heath nods. "And if the baby is Lillie, can we get her straight home to Kyle?"

"First we'll get her checked over at the local hospital to make sure she is healthy, then we can get her home. I know how much this is needed, so I hope it goes well." Kat says, briefly glancing over at him before concentrating back on the road.

"Yeah, we really need this. Kyle needs answers but I now have a feeling this could bring more questions." Heath lightly frowns.

"How come?"

"He never had any interactions with either of them, so why would they have taken his baby?"

"I'm not sure but we can find they out once we know more." Kat says as they see a driveway up ahead leading to the farm the couple were suspected to be living at. "We're here, now you must do as we say or it won't just be you this goes badly for."

"Yeah, I know." Heath nods as she starts talking over the radio the other other police cars.

"Hey mate." Brax lightly smiles, getting Kyle's attention. "You free to talk about some stuff?"

"What stuff?" Kyle asks, putting his phone down on the table as Brax sits opposite him.

"I know you found it hard after the cops called the search for Lillie off and we all know it took its toll on you... When you were at the clinic, Heath went to the cops and convinced them to start a new search up for Lillie with clearer plans-" Brax starts, being interrupted by his younger brother.

"Why the hell would you let him do that without telling me about it first?" Kyle shouts.

"Kyle, calm down. We weren't allowed any contact with you whilst you were in the clinic and we just want you to get the closure you need. It was all Heath's idea because he cares about you whether you two were in a good place or not." Brax calmly replies.

"You had no right without asking me about it, she's my daughter!" Kyle hisses as he stands up.

"They think they've found her!" Brax quickly informs.

"What?" Kyle frowns, shaking his head. "You're lying."

"I'm not. Heath went to the police station earlier today and went out with the cops to check it out." Brax says.

"No, you are lying." Kyle hisses, and walking out without his phone or Bruno with him.

"Kyle, stop!" Brax calls after him, rushing to the door to see Kyle had already disappeared from sight.
