Inuyasha: Existence!

Chapter 42: Sesshomaru's love

A/N: A heads up, both endings will be kind of similar in some ways, but different at the same time. So make sure you choose wisely on which ending you want :D!

Here's Sesshomaru's ending with you, Y/N!

I decided not to add the opening this time, instead... It has a different use. You'll see further down ;D

Mind you, the ending theme below once you get to it, is the closest song I could find that relates to this story. Most, but not ALL of it is matching, I thought it was good either way. XD

Faint whispers that seemed to echo through Y/N's mind, occurred. The scene showed her eyes closed, sleeping, but they kept squinting in a continuous manner. Her head turned left and right, sweat began to build up and made beads roll down her forehead; flashing images of Sesshomaru appearing in her dream caused her to snap her alien eyes awake. With haste, she jolted up in bed, yes...a bed. A familiar bed that almost felt foreign to her considering the many days she's spent sleeping in futons. Her fingers felt around on the blanket that covered her, its soft fur was so long that she was able to trace her fingers through them like hair.

Her eyes widened, she was in her bedroom from her own timeline. The familiar color on the walls that was to her liking, a ceiling light with a beige and teal-rimmed shade covering it up, a soft carpet that would put blankets to shame, and curtains that were closed, hiding the window. It was dark inside, but a faint morning glow peeked through the closed curtains that were made with her favorite color on it.

A wardrobe full of various clothing had one of its doors hanging open, while two pairs of shoes sat against its side in a neat line. Assuming it was still open even after she had left to do her parkour routine. The bedroom door was just across from the bed she sat on and it was closed. Posters of her favorite anime littered her walls, movies sat in stacks near her T.V that was on one side of her room, and so much other stuff that fitted the room nicely.

Her breath began to hitch, her eyes widened and her hands started to shake. The very thought of it all being just a terribly long dream started to occur in her mind, but once she saw a few strands of Sesshomaru's hair laying across her blanket-covered legs, she froze. "I... T-The Time Corpse... I...!" A tear strayed from her one eye and her mind began to go into shock. I never... Got to...ask him to wait for me! I never got to explain how I got my power! What the hell?! she mentally exclaimed in confusion and anger, her teeth gritting into view. Her small cube, the device that held her shrunken futuristic pistols inside, sat on her nightstand to her one side; the phone she had and her headphones were placed next to her small cube as well.

She lifted her hand up and stared at her palm, pondering hard on everything that just happened. Why, why did she send me back to my time so quick?! What was the rush about?! Why couldn't she let me just wake up and see my friends on last time before I went?! Why didn't she let me have some time before leaving?! she added furiously. Her hand clenched tightly into a fist, angrily puncturing her nails into her skin because of how enraged she was. Her eyes began to glow red from fury, but the only thing that snapped her out of her thoughts was when time had stopped. She knew exactly where the Time corpse was, where else would she appear other than to her side where the most clearing was in her room?

"Y/N... Thank you for defeating that creature," she began, still holding up that stopwatch and staring at her with eyeless sockets. "It will not take long for a reaper to capture its soul..." she finished, then soon continued on by jumping to another subject. "As a reward...for your efforts; I explained everything to your friends after I had sent you back to your time. They were all upset, especially your lover... However, after asking your lover to wait for you at a specific meeting place when the future came around, he seemed understanding. He accepted and was never heard of again from his allies other than the small group he traveled with in the past," she explained and stood there as emotionless as usual, or so she believed.

With Y/N being unconscious after growing tired from the fight with Hateshiganai, she never got to witness the emotional change in the Time Corpse's features.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST LET ME HAVE A BIT MORE TIME WITH THEM, BEFORE I HAD TO GO?! I WASN'T READY TO LEAVE THEM! I HAD THINGS THAT NEEDED EXPLAINING! I WANTED TO ASK SESSHOMARU IF HE'D WAI-" It finally registered in Y/N's brain, with what the corpse girl said. She told Sesshomaru to wait for her until the future hits? Telling him where to go in the future, to meet up with her?

Now she was curious. Her anger never subsided though, it continued to boil. "More time, the more choices to make and the more chances of your timeline changing. Hateshiganai had chances of reawakening if I had not moved you back to your timeline; as I had mentioned before, there was only one path to take, to truly be rid of that threat..." The corpse girl paused and soon continued on. "In your place, Asashi Gota explained everything to your friends and lover about how you gained your power. His perceptive ability provided an explanation all on its own, there was no need for him or anyone else to question me directly," she finished. A long silence wafted through the air and Y/N's eyes looked down at her own covered legs.

Y/N, without hesitance, moved the blanket off of her form and stood up from her bed. She didn't even bother fixing it back up neatly, she just stood there with a contemplative stare at the floor. "Where...?" she asked, not once averting her dazed looking, mournful eyes from the floor.

"He agreed to meet with you in the nearest city, where I had pointed out your home's location... Do keep in mind, when you-" before she got to finish her sentence, Y/N ran to the door and swung it open but something froze her in place. The Time Corpse had her one finger lazily pointing at Y/N's legs, they were grayed-out and immobile... "When you visit the city, you will encounter creatures other than your own... The past events had changed your timeline, so now, all the races co-exist. All the kingdoms had come to an agreement upon having peace with each other. Now all races live together as one. You will find this difficult to grow accustomed to the new changes, but Sesshomaru without a doubt, will assist you," she explained and let go of Y/N's legs, allowing time to go back to normal on her lower limbs.

Y/N stood frozen in the doorway, eyes wide with shock and her fingers tightly clamping onto the frame of the doorway. "Where...at in the city...?" she asked, her breath shaking from eagerness and the need to see him.

"On top of the highest business building..." With that said, Y/N, who rushed to put her shoes on that sat on the side of the wardrobe, hurried out of the door like she had an emergency at the hospital... The Time Corpse smiled sweetly at Y/N's leave, staring at the empty doorway and a faint giggle escaped her closed dead lips.

(Here it is, play the song Dream of netherlands by Nano! This is why I wanted to use this as an opening! :D It's also for this very moment!)

Soon enough time had returned to its normal state, with her vanishing from sight. Y/N rode her bicycle down the pathway from her house after exiting the door and grabbing her bike that sat just outside of it. She paddled as fast as she could, with only one thing on her mind... Sesshomaru, Sesshomaruuu! she said in her mind. Tears brimmed her eyes and flew in the wind from her speed. She swerved down onto a blacktop road now, avoiding incoming cars that were occupied with a yokai who had fangs poking out of his mouth and a human who seemed to be chatting with him, her eyes were glued to the yokai.

Their eyes widened when they saw Y/N zip past them in a hurry, just for the male yokai to hit the breaks and look out the window confusedly. Y/N didn't care, she continued on and wanted so badly to find Sesshomaru.

Through the woods, countless trees passed her by alongside the road and soon she came to a clearing where houses were coming into view. More and more houses appeared, then taller buildings, next it was skyscrapers. She didn't notice any of the races around her, she didn't want to take the time to look. Y/N knew exactly where the tallest business building was, so she just rode passed red stoplights that hung in the air, zigzagged through the many vehicles and even pushed past a crowd of elvish people with a few gasps coming from them. "I see it!" It was taking her a while to get there.

She threw her bike aside after jumping off of it, nearly smacking a mage right in the face. She bolted with all of her blinding speed, shocking everyone around her. A lot of people screamed when the chunks of earth uprooted from her spot, she just kept running... She jumped high into the air and used her kinetic energy, flying through the sky and avoiding some soaring yokai who flew through the air with their wings or self-transportable power. She whizzed past a hover car doing a vertical spin and barely missing the windshield, making the hover vehicle to stop in mid-flight. Sesshomaru, where are you?! she hollered in her mind, tears still falling from her eyes and a serious, determined look on her face.

She flew up the side of a skyscraper and made a couple windows to crash from the velocity. Once she got high enough into the air, she saw the top of the building she needed to go to and blasted off towards it with haste.

Closer, closer, and much closer it got by the second! Time raced against her, anticipation got to her, and the love for him pushed aside any care at this point for other citizens she passed. It took her a while, but she finally made it! She came to a slow stop and landed on top of the building, panting slightly from the sudden use of kinetic energy. Her eyes wandered all over the roof, only seeing ventilation tubes, air conditioners that guided cool air into the building through the ventilation system, and an upper exit nearby that led inside the building. Hectically her eyes moved, searching for Sesshomaru with those tears still falling. (Song ends here :D!)

He was nowhere to be found, nowhere to be seen and she began to think the Time Corpse lied to her... "Where... Sesshomaru... Did she lie to me...?" she mumbled, too focused on trying to find him to even speak right.

"I'm here... My love..." Hearing that voice made her eyes widen and for her to gradually turn her head to the side. There, on top of the exit stood Sesshomaru. He wore modern clothes with that fluffy tail of his laying over his shoulder. His arms were to his sides and his black dress pants seemed a bit dirty. He wore a gold chain necklace that had Y/N's name literally written in gold on it.

He looked handsome...wearing a dress shirt with a white undershirt and a black tie. His tie and long silver hair flowed gently with the wind, as did Y/N's hair. She watched him jump down and walk towards her, seeing him giving her a loving gaze her way.

As if on cue, Y/N bolted after him, crying and running into his chest. He immediately complied without hesitance and wrapped his arms around her frame, closing his eyes all the while. The scent that wafted up his nose was certainly something he missed... Feeling her in his arms after so many centuries of waiting to be with her again, he almost felt deprived of her touch... "Y/N, you have never left my mind... Ever since the Time Corpse told me everything...and that Asashi had explained to us of how you gained your power, I never forgot about you..." he whispered into her ear after leaning forward and nuzzled into her hair.

Hearing her cries of relief and feeling the tears staining his shirt, he knew she missed him just as much. "And I never...forgot the question I wanted to ask of you..." Him saying that, made her look up at him with her watery alien eyes.

"Ask me...something? I don't remember! I must have been too tired to let it all register in my head when you said that!" she started to panic until he kissed her with such great passion, that it shocked her completely. Her eyes widened from surprise but tears continued to fall, not from sorrow anymore...but from joy.

Once he broke the kiss, he looked dead into her alien eyes and gave her the most serious stare. "There is no need to be scared of losing me anymore...we are bound by our love, no one will break us apart again... Not even time itself.." Sesshomaru began, knelt on one knee and pulled out a ring from behind him. "Y/N... Will you become my mate for all eternity?" That question froze her in place, stunned at his sudden proposal that he yearned to do when she was still in the past with him.

"If...if that's your way of asking me to be your wife..." Y/N began, covering her mouth with bits of muffled chuckling and tears trailing down her cheeks. The ring sparkled under the morning sun just as much as her mesmerizing eyes. As soon as she saw that ring, she about broke into tears... "YES! For Pete's sake YES!" she cried out then tackled Sesshi to the ground and heard him make a faint hmph from his closed lips. Unexpectedly he earned a lip-lock from her, catching him by surprise.

He closed his eyes and they kept up with their kisses, Sesshi basically groaned into her lips, enjoying every aspect of her person. She figured her friends from the past grew too old to outlive the centuries. She knew better to think that they'd live just as long as Sesshi. So, when she parted from him, she saw him smiling genuinely. Something she thought he'd never do for anyone and it mesmerized her. "If only you could smile like that more often, my cuddly pup.~ Also... There's so much I want to show you now since you're in my timeline. So...many things... LIKE ANIME!" she blushed heavily and grinned, as she stared into his golden eyes.

He thought about the word anime but chose not to question it. He would get his answers later...but for now... "Only for you, would I ever allow to see my smile... No one is allowed to feast their eyes upon this side of me, for it is the side I will ONLY let you see," he replied, causing her to turn beet-red and widen her eyes once more. "I will never let anyone...take you away from me again..." he added. Knowing she was on top of him, he lifted his free arm and gently grasped the back of her head, only to make her gasp when he yanked her head down and made their lips connect once more.

Damn... He's such a good kisser... she mentally spoke and closed her eyes. Though something just came to her mind, a thought she never thought about before yet made perfect sense to her. After she parted her lips, she smiled down at him and watched him grow a confused feature. "You know... After thinking about demons, you demons aren't really demons... Your race doesn't exactly worship the devil nor serve him. You guys just seem so similar to humans in many ways, there are good ones and bad ones. Bad ones would stoop so low to the point of doing devilish work, yet the good ones, like yourself...wouldn't do anything like that of the sort. So, I don't really think your race are actually demons, more of... A different species like the Ketix or elves; a race of its own with its own variety of creature mixes! Demons are spawns of Satan himself, so wouldn't you be getting controlled by him, by now?~" She asked with a wink and giggled. "Just because your eyes turn red when you're transforming, doesn't make you a demon. I mean shit, look at me!" she added, laughed and saw his shocked expression.

"So... You believe we are not...demons...? But another species entirely...?" he questioned back in surprise, only to see her nod. He smiled, her way of thinking about things was remarkable sometimes. Now, how to convince all the others of his kind of species that they're not demons, would be hard. When the scene zoomed out on them, he yanked her down and a distant eep occurred from her. He got on top of her and started chuckling darkly at her. From that point on, those two were going to live a long, happy life. Albeit difficult considering they would have to convince the rest of Sesshi's yokai race that they're not really Yokai, would be hard...

As the scene rolled up towards the sun slowly, Y/N's monologue occurred. I'm gonna get so many haters for messing with the anime's aspects like this...and their demons... Author of my story, I hate you... With that, the author of this story simply rolled her eyes and giggled at Y/N.

(Ending theme! Play: Vanquish by Two stesp from hell! :DDD)

As it showed the entirety of the city in her timeline, it showed Sesshomaru's race, the ex-demons soaring through the sky with their wings or other means of transport. Hovering vehicles flew through the clouds and past skyscrapers, high above the many highways within the city and its many blacktop roads. The scene followed along a couple of elves that ran down the sidewalk laughing with glee and hanging out with their human pals. Children from mages and priests of all kinds, even kids from other races, all played outside in their yards or playgrounds.

Foreign birds that have never been in her timeline before, brushed through the sky and crowed out their cries. They flew alongside the planes that were heading towards airplane landing sights. All in all, it was a lively city and so lived on the co-existence of the races who were going to be killed...by the walking...Armageddon; thanks to Y/N, the descendant of Princess Mouo, who defeated the creature in a heated battle...to the death.

The End!~
