Saturday December 5th 2021.

Today Clay and Nicole were looking at houses with a realtor. They have until the end of the year or else they'd have to sign into another year.

"Clay you didn't wash the griddle..." Nicole said taking notice to it sitting in the sink.

"Sorry hun, I'll wash it when we get home." He said from the bedroom.

"Huh...it's going to get stuck on by then...!" Nicole complained. She took off her wedding ring, pushed up her sleeves and started to wash it herself.

"Here, I can do it. I have to get dressed though so just give me a couple minutes...?" Clay said coming out of the bedroom, buttoning his cuffs, the front of his shirt unbuttoned.

"We have to leave in 15 minutes, you knew that all morning, so it is not my fault that you spent it going on a 3 mile run, and then taking a 20 minute cold shower, followed by making a full blown breakfast for yourself." Nicole said fired up.

"Woah babe relax...I offered to make you pancakes?" He said. She shook her head with an eye roll and continued to wash it.

"Nic, I'll do it. Stop..." Clay said and attempted to take over.

"No! I'll do it. Go get dressed so we're ready!" She told him.

"Why are you so uptight?" He wondered.

"I'm not." She said and scrubbed the griddle vigorously, Clay observed a second then turned the water off.

"What's. Wrong." He said.

"I'm just nervous about today." She said.

"Babe...Sonny's a big teddy bear and besides Megan will be with him so it's not like we're throwing Teagan to a pack of wolves." Sonny assured.

"No, no. Not that. She'll be fine. I mean looking for a house." Nicole said.

"Oh. Well don't be. What are you worried about?" Clay wondered.

"I don't know. I just wanna find the perfect place." She said.

"It will be babe, you'll make it perfect and you'll make it our home" he told her.

"I guess." She said sighing. Clay kissed her forehead and then there was knocking at the door.

"I gotta get dressed..." Clay said and hurried off to the bedroom. Nicole dried her hands and headed to the front door.

"Hey!" Nicole said smiling when she opened the door to see Sonny and Megan standing there. They came in and Nicole grabbed the paper off the counter to go over with them.

"Okay so. Right now she's down for her morning nap, she'll probably be up around 10:30, she'll need a 6 ounce bottle. Oh and, shes been having blowouts more often but I wanna use up all the size one diapers so sorry. But anyway, around 1:30 put her down for another nap but give her 6 ounces first. She'll hopefully sleep until at least 3. When she gets up she'll have another 6 ounces. We will hopefully be home by dinner." Nicole rambled, Megan was understanding every word and looked at Sonny. He was staring blankly at the paper.

"So you said she sleepin'?" Sonny asked. Megan and Nicole busted out laughing.

"Yes." Nicole said.

"C'mon Sonny...your times comin' take notes." Clay said laughing, coming out of the bedroom. Sonny smirked and shook his head. It was a lot of information.

"Don't worry. I got it." Megan said. Clay and Nicole put on their coats and headed out.

2 hours later:

"Uh I don't think she likes this..." Sonny said observing the 3 month old gag on the bottle nipple.

"Prop her up a little more." Megan told him.

"Like this?" Sonny asked after he adjusted.

"Mhm." She said and sat down beside him watching.

"I love this." She told him.

"Ha ha, soon enough." He said.

When she was done eating Sonny got her to burp no problem and then laid her on the play mat she had on the floor.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom, I'll be right back okay?" Nicole said.

"Don't worry I don't think she's goin' anywhere." Sonny said laughing.

Megan came out of the bathroom to Sonny walking around the room bouncing Teagan in his arms, she was screaming.

"What happened?!" Megan said panicked as the loud pitch rattled her brain.

"Don't know she just started screamin'" Sonny said panicked.

"Let me see...!" Megan insisted and held her arms out for the baby. Sonny gladly handed her over and watched her walk around the room with her up on her shoulder.

"Shhh...shhh." She said calmly, rubbing the baby's back.

"Teagan..." she said and tried to burp her again. Sonny just watched her work her magic, she burped again and the screaming stopped.

"There we go..." Megan said. Sonny came up behind her and kissed her shoulder.

"You're gon be amazin Meg." He told her. She smiled at his compliment.

"Yeah...now it's your time to shine...she pooped." Megan said and held her out for him to take her. He smirked and shook his head laughing.

Clay and Nicole looked at 5 houses and were knee deep in paperwork, they found the perfect one. It was 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, the kitchen was beautiful, the living room was spacious, there was a back deck that stepped down to there own backyard. A connected two car garage, and a stone walkway that led up to a front porch.

On the way home they were beaming with happiness, Nicole was so excited to start packing and be moved in by Christmas! She couldn't wait to be able to spread out. They'd be able to have a kitchen table, room for Teagans toys, an extra room for an office or storage. It's practically every mother's dream.

Looks like there life isn't slowing down any time soon. In the end it's all worth it though. I'm sure they were so thankful Megan and Sonny could watch Teagan so they could go do this, besides it's like there first outing without baby. Big stuff! I think reality is hitting Sonny that having a baby is a big responsibility but I also think he's glad Megan knows what she's doing. Leave your thoughts on everything in this chapter (there was a couple things)
