Chapter 50: The Fantasy Section
''Is it seriously just the two of us, here,'' Jaime asked.
''Maybe fate was being kind,'' White chuckled, taking his boyfriend's hand. ''Or just wants us to be alone.''
''Oh, you are a tease,'' Jaime says, giving him a kiss. ''But we should get serious. The Library is under siege, remember.''
''I'm the siren of pure heart, love is kind of literally in my genes,'' White said. ''Not as much as Eos, as she is the actual siren of love.''
''Where are we, anyway,'' Jaime asked. ''Considering the obvious, Lena or Krinos would probably know.''
They were surrounded by a thick and beautiful forest. A lake and castle could also be seen. They looked over a large castle with a forest on one side and a lake on the other. The forest was made of oak, pine, cherry blossom, and willow trees. They could see all types of animals running free in the trees and on the grounds, along with bookshelves near trees and bushes. The lake looked so clean you could probably see your reflection. They could see sea and water animals playing in the water.
The whole castle was made up of silver cement blocks that glistened with protective enchantments. The windows were lined with gold bricks, going with the silver. In front was a large set of doors made from maple wood. There a few towers and also a few turrets coming from the roof of the castle. There statues of different magical creatures dotted around the whole building. They could see the large stables on one side of the castle and the top of a glass dome near the back of the castle.
In short, it was like a fairy tale. Which was made even more obvious when a unicorn ran past them.
''Welcome to the Fantasy section,'' White smiled.
''Why am I not surprised that we ended up here,'' Jaime snickered. ''Siren are considered to be magical 'creatures.''
''Says the one with the magic armor,'' White said, them quickly realized what came out. ''Oh shoot.''
Beetle looked at him like he had three heads. Siren covered his mouth, feeling really stupid about letting that slip. Only himself, Phantom, and the vampires knew about Beetle's armor really being magic instead of alien.
''Qué,'' Jaime gasped.
''I have been spending too much time with Lena,'' White complained. ''I just can't keep my big mouth shut.''
''What do you mean magic armor,'' Jaime asked. ''I thought the scarab was created by the Reach. Like the scarab for Green Beetle and Black Beetle.''
''The Reach did, indeed, make the scarabs for themselves and Mars, but they stole yours,'' White explained. ''About 500 years ago, a powerful set of armor were created. It as called the scarab because it was a set of Egyptian magicians that created it. They used the Isle of Crystal's magic. Your armor's made from black onyx, a gem that uses power for combat with a true warrior, and sapphire, a gem that harnesses the power of the moon.''
''So, the Reach stole the scarab and then later used it to create their own copies,'' Jaime put together.
''Yeah, pretty much,'' White shrugged. ''Truthfully, we didn't know about your armor until Phantom had a talk with Dracula and the other vampires. We all had that same feeling of your armor's inner magical aura. Plus, no technology is near artificial intelligence, yet. Red Tornado, Torpedo, Inferno, and Volcano are pretty much the only exceptions for that. That voice in your armor is the spirit of the scarab.''
''He is correct, Jaime Reyes,'' the scarab told his wheilder.
''And you never said anything,'' Jaime asked it.
''Going for most of those 500 years begin dormant messed with the magic,'' the scarab explained. ''The Reach messed with the magic as they tried to copy me. But they only ended up with poor excuses for scarabs.''
''He's right,'' White says. ''On all three accounts.''
''What would that mean if the heart is destroyed,'' Jaime asked.
''You've fully bonded with the scarab, grown into friends,'' White told his boyfriend. ''You would be taken, just like the rest of us.''
''Well, there would be one up side to that,'' Jaime said.
''And what would that be,'' White smirked, knowing the answer.
''I don't get separated from you,'' Jaime says, taking his had.
The two kissed again. But what seemed like happily ever after, instantly turned into the chase scene of a thriller.
''Aw, how sweet,'' an evil woman's voice sneered.
The two immediately darted their heads in that direction. They came face to face with the delusional Fentons.
''I hate sweet,'' Maddie swore.
A squad of Guys In White agents were behind her and Jack.
''That's pretty obvious with how you treat two kids that did nothing, yet somehow their existence was seen as a crime,'' Jaime taunted.
''You've seen what they can do, how dangerous they are,'' Jack yelled. ''How can you side with living killing machines.''
''Because we don't want to kill,'' White snapped. ''Take it like this. Some humans do bad things, ever hear of human serial killers. Yet most still think that it is not humans in general that are bad. Apply that logic to us. Some ghosts and mystics may be bad, but that does not mean the same for all of us.''
''You're supposed to be a hero, how can you let that creature spew lies right from it's mouth,'' Maddie shouted at Beetle.
''Gold only lies about his identity,'' Jaime said. ''Other than that, he's about as honest as a boy scout. Can get right annoying, really.''
''I may hate my siren song, but I will still scream until your eardrums burst,'' White threatened.
''You're no fun to tease, you know that right,'' Jaime chuckled, then got a slap on the arm brought to him by his siren boyfriend.
''So I've been told,'' White said.
''Would you two stop talking and pay attention to the ones with guns pointed at you,'' Agent N yelled at them.
''We only pay attention to people that matter,'' White smirked. ''And nowhere on the list of people that matter are psychopaths and agents of an abolished government agency.''
That certainly got them angry. Anti-magic blasts started firing at them. Beetle brought out his glider wings and they both took off into the air. They were bobbing and weaving to avoid the constant barrage of blasts. (Try saying that five times fast.)
''Just had to make the psychopaths with guns angry, didn't you,'' Jaime shouted, avoiding another blast that just barely missed his head.
''Just because i'm the siren of pure heart doesn't mean I can't piss off my fair share of people,'' White said, putting up a shield to block some more.
''You've been spending way too much time with Phantom,'' Jaime told him.
''We're twins, what can you do,'' White shrugged.
They heard a large click. Looking down, they saw a bazooka on the shoulder of one of the agents. It was aimed right at them.
''Oh...'' White started.
''...Crap,'' Jaime finished.
''Kalecky Erupt,'' a girl's voice said.
A stream of orange and red light, combined with pointed rocks, came shooting out of nowhere. It was like a stream of lava, but more magical. As the blast went toward the agents, it melted the bazooka. And wherever the lava landed, erupted up as piles of sharp rocks. It sent the agents scattering.
''Did not see that coming,'' Jaime said.
''Few people do,'' the girl's voice said again.
The two turned to see two more figures. A girl riding a pegasus.
The girl was definitely a night person. She had black hair and was dressed in a knee-length black dress covered in silver sparkled, like stars. She had two belts, one pearl and one sapphire. Around her neck was a milky way infinity scarf and an amethyst cape. She had black flats. A staff of oak, and a moonstone tip, was in her hand.
The pegasus she was riding was very regal and noble. He, most definitely a he, had lavender fur with a mane and tail of maroon. His hooves had golden horse shoes. His wings were brilliant maroon and lavender colored feathers.
''Melinda, Skylar,'' White gasped. ''When did you get here? How did you get here?''
''We just got here, in fact,'' Melinda answered. ''With impeccable timing, I might add. As for how, i'm a witch with very handy teleportation spells. Right now, Orion's flying about the horror section.''
''Hello, there,'' Skylar greeted Beetle.
Beetle nearly fell out of the sky, he was so shocked. Sure, he's met a dragon, a unicorn, and a number of other of creatures. But come on, who wouldn't be shocked if a winged horse talked to you. Siren burst into laughter.
''Jaime Reyes, meet Skylar and Melinda,'' White introduced. ''The leader of the Isle of Pegasi and the elder witch of the Isle of Wicca.''
''So these are the two magical friends you keep talking about,'' Jaime says. ''You didn't tell me that pegasi could talk, though.''
''Meh, comes with the magic,'' White shrugged.
''I take it things have been going well, here,'' Melinda asked her friend.
''We may be divided, but whoever came up with the 'divided we fall' saying has never met us,'' White smirked.
''Two more freaks,'' Jack yelled, on the ground.
''Kill them all,'' Maddie screamed.
''Ah, delusional people,'' Skylar sighed. ''Never a shortage of those, are there?''
The four landed on the ground, ready for battle. The agents surrounded them. All of them had their guns aimed and ready to fire.
''Melinda, do your thing,'' White and Skylar smirked, as her hands glowed silver.
''Saphirius Expectorium Perpetua,'' she cast.
Out of her hands came a giant tornado. The wind swept around them, as she commanded the natural disaster. Or rather, unnatural this time. The force of the wind pushed back the agents as the wind got tougher to fight against.
''This is awesome,'' Jaime yelled. ''How powerful is she!''
''This is just her warm up,'' White yelled back.
''I like her already,'' Jaime shouted in response.
But there fun was ruined by a few stray anti-magic blasts that nailed Melinda right in her chest. The wind slowed to a stop as the witch was barely conscious. Skylar immediately ran to her. He was about to charge in when he, himself, was incapacitated by more blasts. Siren ran to his friends, Beetle putting up a shield in front of them.
''Are they okay,'' he asked.
''Those guns may hurt us, but not for very long,'' White said through clenched teeth. ''But now, they've taken this too far. These two, who have never even met a human before, have been hurt by them. They will pay.''
''Gold, i'm not sure...'' Jaime stopped himself upon seeing the anger.
His eyes were pure gold and his wings also turning into the precious metal. Siren walked out, right in the line of fire of the agents.
''Take another step and you're fried,'' Maddie threatened.
''You are the ones in trouble, not me,'' White growled, the ground starting to shake.
Everyone had to keep their balance as it got worse. Beetle was quick to know that this was the results of anger mixing with Siren's vibration powers. Like at Christmas, but ten times worse. You could see the fury in the golden eyes.
''You are so afraid of us,'' White says to the psychos. ''You fear our powers, and that's why you label us as evil. You think that what you believe is fact when it is just conspiracy theory. But you've gone too far now. You invade my home, attack my friends, try to ruin our lives. All out of pathetic fear. You had no reason before. BUT LET ME GIVE YOU A REASON TO FEAR US, NOW.''
With that, sound and music exploded. Beetle decided to name this power Gold Siren's siren explosion.
