KLAUS POV:

Vee had her little cub and named him after my brother. If I had a heart maybe I would care... perhaps I care a little, it was a sweet thing to do I have to admit.

But more importantly, Elijah was undaggered and definitely owed me, soon I would be out of this year-round fur jacket and into something much more slim cut.

Not since I had killed one of the 5 had I been this isolated and even after 3 months I was growing tired of it. And dear God did I miss sex. Really didn't want to have to resort to Beastiality, even if I looked like I wolf my mind was still of a man and that was one line I was unwilling to cross.

Although I think I've developed more of an appreciation for butts being the approximately the same height as them definitely had me noticing them more, especially the one on Ms. Forbes, tight and perky without being too small, it made my mouth water whenever I spotted it.

Yes, I could identify most people my their rears now, what a useful trick.

I look up into the sky and finally the full moon is approaching.

3rd Person POV:

Klaus transformed and stretched out his achy muscles, earlier Rebekah had told him where they were leaving a car and some clothes for him. When he was ready he was supposed to meet at Vee's apartment to meet up to discuss next strategies.

Over at the bakery...

"Explain to me again why you are planning to be up at 4am tomorrow, you've just given birth last week you need your rest," Elijah says to Vee.

"Because you can't prep bagel's the night before, if they overproof it will ruin the texture, I need to make them the day of."

"Yes, but 4 am?"

"Which is why I only sell them Saturdays and Sundays."

"Well why not show me how to do it, you can stay upstairs with Henrik and I can come down to," Elijah has to take a breath and close his eyes slightly unable to believe the following sentence is about to come out of his mouth, "to make the bagels."

"You, Elijah Mikaelson is going to make bagels for the town of Mystic Falls?" Vee asks amused by the idea.

"I can't quite believe it either but I need far less sleep than you,"

Vee thinks on it for a moment before relenting, "alright we can try it once I suppose," she goes over to the shelf she has her recipe binders organized on and pulls down the weekend one to show him where to find the recipe.

"If there's anything you don't understand there's always google."

Elijah smiles, "see how could I possibly go wrong when I have your recipe and google."

"I don't know but I'm sure we're going to find out."

"Do you have no faith in your fiancee?" he asks teasingly as he walks her back up against the counter.

"When it comes to baking? The most generous odds I can give you are 50/50."

Elijah smirks, "I'll take it," he leans down and kisses her, he loves the first few seconds of a kiss with Lavender, everything seems to slow down and get quieter as he surrenders to their love. He can smell her... flour, vanilla, and a little hint of baby throw up but nothing intoxicates him more.

He gives her bottom lip a little nip and moves his hand into her hair as the other grabs her hip and pulls her close,

"eh, eh, eh, none of that it's almost time to meet Klaus," Rebekah says walking into the kitchen holding Henrik,

Vee smiles and goes over to her son, "hello my love, I missed you," she tells him as she takes him from Rebekah and kisses the top of his head breathing in his wonderful warm baby scent.

"I've only had him for an hour," Rebekah points out,

"Still," Vee says distractedly completely consumed with cuddling Henrik close.

Upstairs...

Rebekah, Bonnie, Elijah, and Vee await Klaus, Vee wanted to keep the meeting small as it was going to be in her apartment so she didn't have to travel with the baby.

Finally, Klaus walks in the door, "as surprise parties go, I was expecting a bit more," he says unimpressed with the crowd.

Elijah approaches his brother, "Thank you, Nikaus. It's because of you I can be here with my family,"

Klaus is slightly hurt at Elijah's phrasing but keeps it to himself.

"Yes well, clearly this band of misfits wasn't leaving me with much confidence of ever getting out of my current predicament, we needed a ringer."

Elijah nods and goes back over to sit next to Vee.

Klaus claps his hands together, "so ideas... anyone?"

"Actually yes," Vee says, "I haven't had time to completely flush it out or run it by Bonnie but maybe there's a way to transfer the curse onto someone else,"

Bonnie thinks about it for a moment, "a transference spell is relatively straight-forward... it could work."

"Fantastic, now we just have to select a wolf to palm this troublesome curse onto."

Vee thinks for a second, "or a hybrid."

Everyone looks at her, "sorry love but I'm still the only hybrid around," Klaus says correcting her.

"What if you weren't," she suggests.

"You want him to use Elena's blood and make a new hybrid?" Bonnie asks not loving the idea.

Vee shrugs

Bonnie shakes her head, "who would you want to turn into a hybrid just to curse?"

Vee turns and looks at Klaus, "how do you feel about re-gifting?"

Klaus gets a devious little smile, "are you suggesting we transfer this curse back to who it came from?"

Vee looks unbothered, "who better than to have to live with what she created."

"I'm sorry," Rebekah interrupts, "are you talking about turning our mother into a hybrid... is that even possible, wouldn't she have to be a wolf first?"

Bonnie thinks it through, "not necessarily,"

"She would never let us get close enough," Elijah interjects

"Maybe she would if she thought we were in trouble from the one person she fears most."

"Our Father? I already took care of him or are you forgetting when Elijah and I took that lovely trip over the Atlantic," Klaus says

"Not your father, her sister."
