The Bakugan Battle Brawlers in:
Origins: Part 3 - Yurina

Kyubis had stood on Yurina's nightstand and watched her partner standing in the middle of the room. "Well, are you going to tell me?"

Yurina winked at her partner. "Patience, Kyubis. Let me just get comfortable." She stretched her body and suddenly pale yellow fox ears with red tips replaced her ears. Also three, long fox tails appeared to stretch from her backside. "Ah… much better."

"How did you do that?"

"The mask conceals my unique attributes. It's so fitting, but it gets uncomfortable at times. You probably have soooo many questions, and my answer to that is: be patient. The main character in my little story was very impatient." Yurina had laid down on her bed, her orange hair sprawled all over. "So… let's begin."

11 Years Earlier

There was a figure who was walking through the halls, she was tall, with slightly round hips and a large chest that bounced with every step. She wore a dark red, long-sleeved kimono with black accents. She wore white flats with red soles. She had blonde colored hair with fox ears that were red with cream-colored tips. She had two long fox tails that were red with cream tips just like her ears. Her brown fox-like eyes were slanted and looked ahead with a serious expression.

She was in what looked like a royal hallway, the walls were maroon with gold pillars and doors. There was a younger girl beside her that was in her early teens. She wore a kimono as well but hers was shoulder-less and colored red, her hair was orange, and had red flats covering her feet. She had fox-like features like the woman in front of her.

There were double doors in front of her, she then pushed them open and saw that there was a large room in front of her. There looked to be other Alursians of differing breeds in the room that surrounded a large circular table. All of them stood at their posts.

The fox figure walked up to her spot on the table, while the smaller figure stood beside her.

One of the delegates - A falcon Alursian stood up straight. "Right, so now that Ran-Seki has arrived, we can start."

The figure known as Ran-Seki looked at all the delegates. "Now that everyone is here, I want to speak on the motion that we attack Fabrega. I have convinced the Freedom Party to move forward with this, I just need the authorization of the Order Party."

The leader of the Order Party - A baboon Alursian had glared down at Ran-Seki. "You know that we can't do that. Starting a war with Fabrega is a foolish idea!" he said. "What exactly would we gain from doing that?"

"Equal treatment!" Ran-Seki replied. "It is no secret that they see us as lesser creatures - as nothing more than feral beasts that live on the world above. We have tried to get equal treatment from them with little success! Surely you must know that not enough progress is being made. We can also benefit from their advances in technology."

"While the Fabregans are slow to respond, we still intend to make progress for the sharing of resources and opening up interplanetary travel," he said. "There is no justifiable reason to go to war, Ran-Seki!"

The woman sighed. "That bigoted king has been stalling negotiations for 3 years. If they won't help us, then we should take what we deserve!"

"Fighting is not the answer, that is not our way of life. We use Bakugan and the technique of Reversion to spread and keep the peace. Fighting in anger goes against everything we as Alursians stand for!"

"Hmpf sounds like cowardly talk to me. You and the rest of your party are afraid! You cling to your old ways, afraid of change. The Fabregans treat us like dirt, and that is not going to change any time soon. This non-aggression pact has put us under the foot of our oppressors for years." Ran-Seki said while clenching her fist. "It is finally time to take our place above them!"

"A war with Fabrega is not progressing towards peace!"

She angrily threw her fist on the table. "You really think what we have is peace!? It isn't! And it certainly shouldn't be the way we look in front of our people. They see our government as weak, and I refuse to live in a world where that is a reality!"

The leader of the Order Party pointed at Ran-Seki. "We knew you wouldn't stand down. So you leave us no choice." He cleared his throat as he prepared to make his ultimatum. "If you start a war with Fabrega, you forfeit your right to stay Supreme Ruler of Alursia!"

She clicked her tongue and kept her mouth shut for the rest of the meeting, the younger fox girl looked up to her with worry.

After the meeting, Ran-Seki was in her room and was sitting on a throne. The doors to her room opened and the young girl that tailed her from before stepped through. "Y-You called Mother?" she asked timidly.

"Yukiko," she replied. "I am glad you've arrived. Unfortunately, we can't do anything about Fabrega and their bigoted king without attracting the ire of the Order Party."

"What do you want to do?"

"You know I am a very impatient woman, and if we don't attack. The Fabregans will only take further advantage of us. We need to hit them hard. They won't even see it coming. But for me to do that… I need you to do me a big favor…"

Yukiko looked on at her mother who returned her curious look with a smirk.

Yukiko walked out onto one of the many balconies of the palace. The palace was surrounded by what looked like beautiful vast plains covered in green, the palace was on a high incline. Out in the distance, huge villages stood in the distance.

"Something on your mind?"

She looked back to see a black panther Alursian standing behind her. He was dressed in white robes "Grand Minister?"

He chuckled. "As I've told you before, young one. Please call me, Bones." she looked out in the distance. "I heard your Mother put up quite a fuss a couple of hours earlier." Yukiko only grunted in response. "I am not going to pry, but is there something wrong?"

"Can Fabregans and Alursians really be equal?" she asked, fixing her gaze out into the distance.

"Hmm… well that depends on what you mean by 'equal'. Genetically and physically, Alurisans and Fabregans are vastly different and will never be equal in that respect. But I'm sure that's not what you meant." Yukiko folded her arms. "We all want equality - or at least some form that looks like equality, but many people have different ways of achieving it."

Yukiko then turned around and faced Bones. "Then what would you do?"

"I would prefer to engage in healthy discussion, but some people are so stubborn that you might as well be talking to a brick wall."

"So what do you do if they don't listen?"

Bones thought about her question. "Well if you can't move a wall, then perhaps you should climb over it." he looked at her irritated face. "What I am saying is that you should find another way."

"But… my mother… she wants to…"

"I mentioned climbing over a wall, your mother wants to destroy it. I can't agree with her actions. But I can, at the very least understand. Ran-Seki feels as if her hand is being forced."

"I don't know… Mother says that while the Fabregans have the technology, we have mastered Reversion. And there are a lot of people I've met that feel the same way as her."

Bones sighed. "Personally, I am glad I don't have to make those tough decisions." he noticed Yukiko flinched at those words. "Hmm… something wrong?"

"No… just leave it." she continued to look forward. "What would the world look like if we actually got along… if we actually worked together?"

Bones smiled. "I hope to live to see that day."

Yukiko had arrived in the backyard of the palace to see Ran-Seki on their practice battlefield. In front of Ran-Seki was a Ventus Fly Beetle in its regular form.

"Get ready Kyubis!" she tossed in her Pyrus Bakugan and Kyubis stood up and she was a nine-tailed fox with red fur and white accents. Kyubis growled at the Fly Beetle and without Ran's command, she leaped up in the air and made orange fireballs rain down on the Ventus Bakugan. She noticed her daughter looking at them. "Yukiko? I didn't see you there." after Kyubis landed on the ground, her eyes were locked onto the young Yukiko. "Hmm… what is it Kyubis?" she only let deep breaths as she continued to stare at Yukiko. "Ah, it is very unfortunate that you don't talk. But staring is rude!" she said shrugging her shoulders.

"Mom… are you sure you want to go through with your plan?"

"Do you doubt me, daughter?"

"No, I'm just… worried."

"You shouldn't worry about me. All you should worry about is doing the best for Alursia in my absence."

Still, that didn't do anything to bring Yukiko out of her deep train of worrying thoughts. "I talked to Bones earlier."

Ran-Seki rolled her eyes. "I see, so what did the old fool have to say this time?"

"That you have to climb over a brick wall instead of destroying it. Or at least that what I got from it."

"Of course, he likes to speak in riddles. And the brick wall represents…?"

"Fabrega. The wall represents them not listening to us. I think he was trying to say that it was better to climb over the wall."

"Tch…" she knelt in front of her daughter. "Let me tell you something, Fabregans like to ignore everything that is around them. Refuse to pursue the greater good. They will not listen to our requests, no matter what we say. So what they need is a shock to their system. Let them know that their silence has consequences. That their ignorance isn't bliss." Yukiko looked away slightly. "If you are going to stay silent in your ivory tower while you could benefit those that are less advantaged, then you are guilty in my eyes. And they can't claim ignorance here."

Yukiko was still questioning the extreme measures that her mother wanted to take. "Mom… I don't know anymore." she then flinched as if something surprised her, she looked at Kyubis who continued to stare intensely.

"Kyubis don't scare her!" Kyubis returned to her ball form and landed in Ran-Seki's palm. "Huh, I can never get a read on her." she stared into Yukiko's eyes. "This is the right thing to do. This is the only way the Fabregans will listen."

"Right…" she begrudgingly agreed while breaking eye contact.

Several weeks later, there was a scheduled meeting where the high figures of Alursia would meet. But there was a notable figure that was missing.

Many of the delegates have started to speak among themselves. Mostly, asking where Ran-Seki was, as no one had seen her for the last couple of days.

"Where is she…?" a delegate from the Order Party asked. They all heard steps coming towards the large room, but instead of Ran-Seki, they saw her daughter, Yukiko. She walked to the same platform where her mother would stand. "Princess Yukiko, might you be able to tell us where your mother is?"

Yukiko had walked over to the center of the large room and eyed a device that had the appearance of a gold orb being held on a silver pedestal. As soon as she touched it, a pulse spread through the entire room. Suddenly they all saw what looked like a hologram of their High Leader - Ran Seki projected from the orb. "Attention!" the hologram said. "I trust that this message has reached the Royal Guard. I am making this message as a last resort on behalf of my people!"

All the Alursians in the room were visibly surprised by what Ran-Seki was doing, but little did they know that this was only just the start of her plan. "As you no doubt know, we have been making requests to your people, with no response other than stalling. You know about the problems our people face on your surface, treated like subterranean-class citizens. And with your advancements in technology, it would do wonders to help both our races, but you sit back and push back our peaceful requests."

"No… she didn't…" one male delegate said, fearing where Ran-Seki was going with this message.

"So with this, I have taken it upon myself to do something about this, for the betterment of my people." then Ran-Seki looked to have a Bakugan pop up on her shoulder, it was Kyubis. "To the people of Alursia, I have decided to step down as High Leader, in accordance with royal protocol, my Kin - Yukiko will take my place in the interim until further notice. Bones Kuro will be promoted to be her adviser."

"Why is she stepping down?" one Alursian asked.

"Now for my requests, I will be giving the Fabregan King 24 hours to respond to this message so we can engage in a healthy discussion about the future. If not, then… as the old saying goes… 'Your actions have consequences'." the hologram shut off, and everyone in the room had turned to the only one who could give them any answers.

"Yukiko! When was this message created?"

She let out a sigh. "Mothe- Ran-Seki had broadcast this message yesterday on Fabrega. At this time, the response from the Fabregans should come to us."

"And if it doesn't…?" a feminine rhino delegate asked.

She looked down at what looked like shame before she looked up at the adults in the room. "She promised to tear Fabrega asunder."

Many of the delegates feared the worst, and they feared that Ran-Seki had made a reckless move without their consent. One of the many delegates had switched on the large monitor in the room. The second they did, they could see a news report, with the headline that made many of them feel chills down their spines.

'Alursia Declares War!' they could see that a whole city was engulfed in flames. Apparently, according to the report, the High Leader of Alursia - Ran-Seki along with what looked like 30 other battlers from Alursia had destroyed a city that was leading the production of their upcoming Mechanical Bakugan as well as their Mobile Assault and other battle accessories.

"Ran-Seki… what have you done?" Bones muttered to himself as he stood next to Yukiko.

The day was coming to an end and Yukiko was staring at the chair her mother used to sit in, inside her throne room. "You can always take it down." she heard. Behind her was Bones. "I always did find that chair a bit tacky."

"How can you be so calm at a time like this?" Yukiko asked with a panicked tone.

"Well, your mother riled up some battlers that were just as angry as she was. And it is too late to stop her. We just don't have anyone that can stand up to your Mother's strength. But I fear that there may be greater consequences for your mother's actions."

"What do you mean?"

"Your mother had just started a war with Fabrega because she was the High Leader of Alursia. They will think we are accepting of her rash actions."

"B-but at least half of us aren't."

"Yes that is true… but think about it from their perspective." Bones cleared his throat. "You remember that burning city right? Well imagine if you lived there, and you came to your home, completely destroyed. Or maybe worse: you have friends or family that live in that city. They could be dead by now." Yukiko shamefully gazed to the ground. "Your Mother isn't wrong for harboring a hatred for the Fabregans, but doing this will only muddy the already tense relationship between our two species."

"What do you mean?"

"Violence only breeds more violence. Hatred only sours relationships. Your mother's actions will not just have consequences for herself, but for every Alursian for the next few decades."

"Then what do I do!?" she asked, raising her voice at Bones. "What do I do? How can I stop this?"

"I've known Ran-Seki for a long time, and she is someone who will not stop until she gets what she wants. All we can do is hope is that the damage caused by her is repairable." Bone said. "You don't have a Bakugan, and even if you did, Ran-Seki is the strongest Battler on Alursia. I doubt you could stop her and her guerrilla fighters if you tried."

"I have to do something!" Yukiko was angrily pacing, but Bones had gently held her shoulder.

"We will figure something out before this gets out of hand," he said as he lowered himself to her level so she would be more comfortable.

Days turned into weeks and the attacks on Fabrega didn't let up. In fact, the Order Party had known this and they immediately made a statement, that separated themselves from Ran-Seki's actions. Though that seemed to do little to affect what happened on the surface of Fabrega. Yukiko watched this going on and felt so helpless.

While she tended to her new duties which included trying to keep Alursia together, she always asked what they could do about her mother, and every time, the rest of the Alursian delegates told her there was nothing they could do. Ran-Seki was able to convince most of Alursia's battlers to fight for her cause, and the other battlers couldn't hope to stand up to her. Ran-Seki would only see them as obstacles that stood in her way.

As the weeks continued, they got updates on the situation. With the Fabregans underprepared for such an attack, any defenses they laid out were useless as it turned out that Alursian Bakugan Reversion forms had superseded their advanced technology. Since all of the battlers were capable of this power, they made light work of any defenses that the Fabregans had laid down. Any Fabregan that fought against them with their Bakugan, would either have that Bakugan taken or it would be killed in battle.

Ran-Seki didn't even take over locations, she just destroyed one major city before moving onto the next. Though she made sure that the city was completely decimated, making it unsuitable for anyone to live there. She had the destructive fury of a tornado that was ripping through cities with no sign of stopping.

About a month after the first attack, Ran-Seki's path of destruction was inching ever closer and closer to the planet's capital. As for Yukiko, she had enough trouble trying to keep people on Alursia calm, but worries would only intensify one night when she was asleep.

Her fox ears ruffled in the darkness and she could hear a beeping close by. It was coming from her desk, which had what looked like something to display a holographic call. She tiredly got up and expected to see one of the delegates, but was surprised to see that it was someone whose identity was concealed. "Huh? Hello?"

"You must be Yukiko, Ran-Seki's daughter I presume." the person said with a deep voice that was obviously modulated, so Yukiko couldn't tell the gender of the person.

"Who's asking?"

"I am afraid I can't reveal myself to you at this time. But I am someone who is very close to the Fabregan royal family. I've been asked to come to you to see if you can call off your Mother."

"Believe me… I've tried. But she won't answer any transmissions coming from Alursia. She has completely left to pursue this crusade… and I wish I could stop her, but I can't…"

"I see…" the mystery person said. "Well, then you should know this. I would have gladly listened to any requests Alursia made, but you see. The rest of the Royals aren't as understanding as I am. If they manage to stop your Mother, they will retaliate…"

Yukiko started to panic "B-but… No, I didn't… my mother, she-"

"Relax, I am on your side here. I won't be able to stop the retaliation, but I can arrange something that can save you and your people should it come to that." there was a slight pause in the conversation before the figure continued. "For now, if you can find a way to stop your Mother, then we can get out of this with as little casualties as possible." Yukiko thought about what the figure said. "We will talk more at a later date, just start planning for now." the transmission ended and Yukiko just stared at the wall, trying to piece together her thoughts. But one thing was clear, her mother would be in grave danger if she continued.

As the days went on, Ran-Seki continued on her path of destruction. Her daughter could only try and calm people's fears back on Alursia. Though the other delegates have prevented her from trying to take action as they fear any action from Ran-Seki's daughter would only make the situation worse.

She was having lunch, and the other person at the table was Bones, though they sat at the opposite heads of the table. "Yukiko, this food is positively scrumptious. My compliments to the chef." he got no response as she only drew her fork across the meat and vegetables that decorated her plate. "I know you are worried about the current situation."

"Worried? Try Frustrated! My mother is waging war with our neighbors and I can't even stop it. Not that I could if I tried, those political delegates won't even allow me, even though mother put me in charge!"

"I know… but your Mother was in the same boat. While she could make decisions that could bring change around Alursia - for better or worse. She still had people to answer to, those are the delegates. They exist ultimately to keep the High Leader in check, to prevent situations like the one we are dealing with." Yukiko folded her arms. "In order to step down from the position, the current leader must have a next-of-kin to take the position if something should happen. Your mother used this loophole to step down and lead an attack on Fabrega. She waged war as a civilian."

"So… she used me…"

"She thinks this is what is good for the future of Alursia. Unfortunately, she is too blinded by rage and hate to see that her actions have consequences."

Yukiko continued to drag her fork across the table. "I-I have to do something."

"I understand, but if you rush into a decision. You could end up doing something just as reckless as your mother. And since you are the new High Leader, your actions reflect on all of us."

She looked to think about what Bones said, and while she wanted to go down there and stop her mother. But she was still mad about how her mother used her as a ploy just to attack Fabrega. "I need some time to myself." she got up to leave and even left a full plate since she was too anxious to touch her food.

Almost a week later and Yukiko had really only kept to herself. She locked herself up in her room, this was her attempt to avoid facing the responsibility that was forced onto her by Ran-Seki.

Speaking of the former High Leader, Yukiko had been following the war, just hoping that her mother wouldn't be killed in this battle. And she hadn't heard from her mysterious contact since the week before, so her anxiety was always on edge.

What she was currently viewing was the tipping point of the war. Ran-Seki made it as far as the city which would be their final stop before heading to the capital - Valhalla City. Crews of reporters were all over Eden City trying to report the chaos that Ran-Seki and her band of battlers were capable of. They all even looked to be in their Reversion Forms, doing everything in their power to destroy everything in their path.

"As you can see! The savages from Alursia continue their march through Eden City. Every effort to stop them has resulted in casualties." The reporter had narrowly leaped out of the way as an Aquos Hippo Bakugan nearly stomped on her.

There were Fabregan Bakugan, mechanical and non-mechanical that stood in their way, but the camera turned to Ran-Seki who took out a card while the pink Reversion symbol on her arm shone red. The symbol itself resembled the face of a fox. She had a smirk on her face.

"All of you better move," she said looking out at the Bakugan blockade. "Ability Activate! Meteor Foxtrot!" both her and Kyubis had leaped up and their nine tails lit up with fire. Their bodies had eight fireballs surrounding them. The sixteen fiery orbs had rained down all over the Bakugan that formed the blockade. They and their partners were engulfed in flames. The reporters were shocked at what they saw.

Before long, the ground was cracking around them and there was an explosion of magma that looked similar to a volcano. They all saw a Bakugan that looked like it was made from the fiery core itself.

The sky exploded with a burst of bright light and coming down was a Bakugan that had a feminine body made from prisms.

Another Bakugan that looked like a cheery humanoid peacock had hovered above the flames and flapped her wings which looked to give off healing energy that quelled the fires.

Ice crystals then shot out of the ground, trapping all of the Alursian Bakugan. In place, a humanoid Bakugan, made out of entirely ice crystals was giving off a cold aura as his hands were impaled into the ground.

Another feminine Bakugan had appeared she was of the Darkus attribute and had tentacles stretching from her back, had red eyes, and her body was covered in a mixture of purple and dark purple splotches.

And the Pyrus Bakugan was a humanoid porcupine Bakugan and his quills were constantly on Fire.

"W-who are these Bakugan?" the reporter asked.

A young-looking Maximus stepped forward. "We are the High Council! Fabrega's last defense against threats like Ran-Seki!"

A middle-aged Heros then raised his gauntlet. "You have made a grave error in judgment, Ran-Seki."

What Yukiko would see next was something she would never forget. The six Bakugan and their battlers would be the last stand that would keep Ran-Seki from completing her plan of bringing chaos to Fabrega. And once they started battling, it initially looked like Ran-Seki's forces would have the advantage. But as the melee continued in the streets, the battlers on Ran-Seki's side were suffering the effects of staying in their Reversion Forms for too long, and many of them were losing hold of them.

Sparkles of different attributes were floating into the sky. Ran-Seki watched as her forces were quickly being dwindled. She tried to fight them off herself, but she could find her own Reversion Form leaving her. She could see that Maximus was going to face her and what she saw shocked her and all the viewers watching.

Maximus and his partner Prismanta had managed to achieve Reversion as they managed to even transform, stunning Everyone watching.

"How… Fabregan scum like you shouldn't…" Ran-Seki started as Maximus attacked. Both she and he had clashed as they began their one-sided dual while Kyubis and Prismanta battled each other.

Yukiko couldn't take her eyes away as she watched her mother battle. Then all of a sudden, she remembered Kyubis staring back at her intensely, and couldn't figure out why. Suddenly, the battle between her mother and Maximus had come to an end as red sparkles were coming off of her. After this, Kyubis had sped over to Maximus' palm.

"Mother!" Ran-Seki's daughter had gotten up to her feet, feeling a huge pang of worry for her mother. "W-what do I do now?"

Much later that night, Yukiko was trying to sleep but was twisting and turning in her bed. From inside her own head, she found herself in a white space. "Where am I?" she asked herself.

"Finally!" she heard a deep-ish feminine voice and saw an apparition of Kyubis staring at her as she walked into the white space.

"K-Kyubis! You can talk!?" she exclaimed in shock. "Where is my mother? Is she all right?"

"This isn't the time at the moment. Your mother is in grave danger." Yukiko gasped. "She is going to be executed for her crimes against Fabrega now that she is in their custody. I narrowly escaped from them, I needed to get this message to you."

"She is going to be-? No, I have to stop them, how do I do it? I don't even have a ship like my mother did."

"Do not worry. I will use what is left of my Reversion power. In order to bring you to the planet's surface with me at your side."

"Wait, if you could teleport people the whole time, why didn't you do it before?"

"Because that is something I can only grant the true recipient of my Reversion power."

Yukiko tried to absorb what Kyubis was trying to tell her. "Wait, you mean-?"

"You are my true partner, I only allowed Ran-Seki to use a mere fraction of my power. I wasn't even in my true Reversion Form. But you… I can grant you full access to my power."

"Can you really get me to Fabrega?" Kyubis only gave a single nod. "If I can get there and speak with their king directly, I can put an end to all of this."

"Perhaps…"

Yukiko smiled to herself. "Maybe there is hope. How close can you get to the King without being detected?"

"Into his Throne Room possibly, but what are you even going to say?"

"Hopefully convince him that not all Alursians are like my mother and convince him to spare my Mother's life."

Yukiko was awake and dressed in her outfit as it was already early the next morning. She was sitting on her bed, waiting… hoping that Kyubis could actually do something to help. She had her eyes closed and it even looked like she was praying to herself.

"It is time…" she heard from inside her head. "Are you ready?"

Yukiko silently nodded and she looked at her arm, there was a red symbol of what looked like a sitting nine-tailed fox on her arm. "I am ready." she took a breath and a bright white light had covered her body. Once the light fully took over her, she was gone, and with that, she was heading to the surface of enemy territory to hopefully rescue the person that caused all of this.

That morning, the king was in his throne room and looked to be going over a list of his duties for the day. He had a smirk on his face. "You seem to be in a great mood, dear." he looked at his wife who sat by his side.

"Why shouldn't I be? We have defeated the biggest enemy in Fabregan history. Those savages thought they could just come here and destroy our way of life. Well, their ring-leader has gotten exactly what she deserves."

Suddenly all the Fabregans in the room had shielded their eyes and a bright light was coming from the middle of the room. When the light started to fade, they could all see that Yukiko stood in the room with a serious look on her face. She had her mother's old Bakugan, Kyubis in her hand.

"ANOTHER ONE!" the king exclaimed. "GUARDS!" he exclaimed.

"WAIT!" Yukiko yelled as guards came in and they sealed all of the exits. "I didn't come to fight or start anything! I just want to talk…"

"Talk…? You look like that feral maniac that tried to tear our home apart."

"Yes… I am her daughter… Yukiko."

"Hmpf, and you think that makes it all better? Why have you come here, other than to join your mother on death row?"

"No please!" Yukiko begged. "If you spare my mother, I will take her and leave, and my people will never set foot on your planet ever again."

The king hummed to himself. "Hmm…"

"Dear…" his wife started. "Maybe we should listen to her request, more people shouldn't get hurt. We've lost many already."

"If I let that murderer run free, then how will that make me look in front of our people, huh?!" he asked. "No… there is a way to settle this!" he stood up from his throne. "We battle! If you win, you get to take your leader and retreat to your planet of cowards. But if I win, I am free to do what I want with that prisoner, deal?"

Kyubis hovered up to Yukiko's ear. "This king won't let her go without a fight, maybe we should accept."

"But if I lose… then…"

"Then we won't lose, with you by my side, I can unleash my full power!" Kyubis reminded her.

She nodded and looked forward. "Right." she pointed at the King. "I accept your challenge, but you better keep your word."

They were both on an outdoor battlefield that looked like it was in a large courtyard of the palace. King Oeruaqx had a very confident look on his face as he equipped his black and gold accented gauntlet. "You will regret coming here you bloody animal." He raised his gauntlet and the power card had let out an orange glow. Yukiko had looked at her arm and her Reversion symbol shone.

"I don't know why we thought talking to you would change anything!" she then held a gate card in between her fingers. "Gate Card Set!" she tossed in a command card that sunk into the ground. "Bakugan Brawl!" she tossed in Kyubis who stood soon after. Nine whips of fire shot up from the ground and those flames had turned into Kyubis' nine tails as she fully materialized on the field out of the flames.

"And now begins… you reckoning! Bakugan Brawl!" he threw in a black and orange Bakugan. It stood on the field and out of an orange glow, Yukiko could see what was a mostly black gorilla-like Bakugan. The orange parts were his chest, feet, and face. There were three brown, rocky spikes that stuck out of each of his arms. There looked to be a metal spine going down his back that had steel spikes sticking out of them. One of his eyes was glowing blue while the other was bright yellow and half his face looked to be made out of cybernetics. His hands were also purely cybernetic as they were white and had a power core in the palms of the hands.

Yukiko stepped back slightly. "W-what did you do to that Bakugan?!"

"Cybernetics, the beauty of Fabregan science! The fusion of a blood Bakugan and powerful mechanical parts to make it an unstoppable killing machine, and it looks like his first victim will be you!"

"That… that's sick!"

Kang: 1000 / Kyubis: 700

Yukiko was quick to take out a card to try and even the power level difference. "I have to strike fast! Ability Activate, Howling Blaze!" Kyubis leaped up and three orbs of fire surrounded her body. They each fired down on Kang and the explosion of fire engulfed him, transferring 250Gs. Putting Kang down to 750 and Kyubis at 950

But through the fire, Yukiko could see that Kang didn't look the slightest bit affected. His blue cybernetic eye was shining through. "Is that really the same Bakugan your mother used? I guess you're just naturally weaker." the king mocked.

Yukiko had another Alursian Ability Card in her hand. "You won't be saying that after this! Ability Activate, Meteor Foxtrot!" Kyubis had fire surround her tails and there were eight orbs of fire this time that orbited around her, she fired them quickly to Kang and the resulting explosion had made the cybernetic gorilla slide back. Immediately, 500Gs was taken away from Kang and was further brought down to 250Gs.

"You've had your fun, you damn animal. But that stops here." he placed a Fabregan ability card into his gauntlet. "Ability Activate, Earth Wrecker!" the power cores on his hands had released blue electricity and suddenly tiny stones were being clumped together in between his hands and he then tossed the clump of large stones to Kyubis He gained 300Gs while taking 200 from Kyubis.

Kang: 550 / Kyubis: 750

Kyubis however had blasted a fireball at the attack, seeing as her power level was higher, she had an easy time defending against the attack. "I won't stop! This is to free my mother, and to lead our people to a better tomorrow! Ability Activate, Burning Demise!" Kyubis opened his mouth and he let out a tremendous stream of pure white fire that was looking to completely engulf Kang. Right after this, 400 was added to Kyubis while 300 was taken away from Kang.

Kang: 250 / Kyubis: 1150

"If I had my way, you people wouldn't have 'a tomorrow'! Ability Activate, Bio Shield!" the spines on his back became electrified and were glowing. A blue spherical, see-through barrier had covered Kang and the white flames had hit the barrier but they didn't cause a single dent. When the flames stopped, the barrier was still up. "Bio Shield is a defensive ability that not only adds to Kang's power level but also nullifies your ability. The power gain from Burning Demise was negated, and an additional 300Gs was added to Kang's power level.

Kang: 850 / Kyubis: 750

Oeruaqx raised his gauntlet and the card shone orange as Kang was preparing another attack. "Ability Activate, Energy Jaw!" Kang opened his mouth and he proceeded to fire a powerful, bright blue all-engulfing light that looked to cover Kyubis. Immediately 400Gs were transferred between the two. Putting Kang at 1250 and Kyubis down to 350.

"AAH!" Yukiko screamed in annoyance as she swung her arm to present another card. "Ability Activate, Explosion Guard!" a fiery aura had surrounded Kyubis as the attack had engulfed her. Once the beam covered her, the King was surprised to see that Kyubis was still standing accompanied by a fiery aura surrounding her body. "You like that? Explosion Guard makes Kyubis immune to your abilities for a short time!" Kyubis's power increased to 450Gs after the activation of the ability.

"You're only delaying the inevitable, child! Your mother is a war criminal, and she will pay for her crimes, and so will the rest of your people!"

"You monster!" she exclaimed and she swung her arm. "Gate Card Open! Hexagonal Light!" the command card opened and a yellowish-white light with red, blue, and yellow outlines had surrounded Kyubis. "Hexagonal Light is a command card that transfers 500Gs from a Darkus, Ventus, or Subterra Bakugan to a Pyrus, Haos, and Aquos Bakugan."

Kang: 750 / Kyubis: 950

King Oereaqx had extended his arms to his sides. "Fine, do your worst. Defeat my Kang, if you dare!"

"As if I needed an invitation! Ability Activate! Soul Extinction!" On top of the Explosion Guard aura that protected her, there was a purple, fiery aura that extended from Kyubis, and a second later a bright white ghastly form of Kyubis was speeding to Kang.

"IT'S OVER!" the ghastly Kyubis said as she had 650Gs added to her power level, putting her at 1600Gs.

His gauntlet was raised. "Know your place, child. Ability Activate! King Fortress!" Kang felt himself become heavier and he let out a very loud roar. His muscles became more pronounced and rocks were growing on his abs and chest as an orange outline was surrounding him. His power went up by 500Gs as Kyubis rocketed closer to him.

Kang: 1250 / Kyubis: 1600

The ghastly fox had clashed with the gorilla and an explosion was created after the impact. But Kang was still standing. "B-but how?"

"King Fortress allows Kang to increase his defenses ten-fold after this ability is activated. It doesn't matter how hard you strike, Kang will always stand tall!"

"So we're even then."

"I don't think we are! Ability Activate! Earthquake!" Kang angrily roared and he slammed his cyber fists into the ground and right after this, jagged, rock pillars were jutting out from the ground all over the field. Kyubis, still being protected by Explosion Guard had avoided the spikes. But Yukiko could see that her command card had shattered thanks to the ability. Earthquake added 500Gs to Kang, and as a result of the command card shattering, 500Gs was transferred between Kyubis and Kang.

Kang: 2250 / Kyubis: 1100

"No! I'll defeat you!" She yelled as she held up two cards. "Double Ability Activate! Comet Crash, plus Ghastly Fire!" Kyubis in a last-ditch effort to win the fight had leaped up high into the sky and she had blue fire surrounding her. She fell back down to the battlefield with five comets of blue fire following her. The blue flames were being powered by Ghastly Fire. Kyubis had 400Gs transferred between herself and her opponent while 300 was added on top of that.

Kang: 1850 / Kyubis: 1800

"NO! Kyubis is still behind!?" Yukiko exclaimed with shock as Kyubis had crashed right into Kang. The tremendous explosion of blue fire blinded the both of them, soon after the fire had cleared Kang stood in the blue flames looking unaffected. To make matters worse, the red aura that protected Kyubis was fading. "Oh no… Kyubis!"

"Oh look at that. Now I can finally do this! Ability Activate, Atlas Charge!" his spine was glowing again and rear boosters opened up from the back of his metal back. They ignited and Kang was charging right to Kyubis and successfully shoulder-tackled the nine-tailed fox, adding 500 to himself and taking away 250 in the process. Which put Kang up at 2350 while Kyubis was dropped down to 1550.

The damage was too great as Kyubis had roared out in pain and was sent back to her partner while still flying from the shoulder tackle. She had a bright red aura surround her as she quickly retreated to her ball form. She bounced on the ground and her partner's life gauge had fallen down to 20%.

Yukiko gasped as Kang was returned to his partner. "Should you really be surprised? You must be out of your mind if you think an Alursian Runt can defeat the Fabregan King. If you surrender now, I'll make sure your mother's death is a painless one."

Yukiko had clenched her fists as she glared right at King Oeruaqx. "screw you…" she silently said.

The king was taken back by what he heard. "I'm sorry, I believe I didn't hear-"

"I said SCREW YOU!" she exclaimed as a white aura was surrounding her. "I see now… I understand why… Why my mother did what she did! Fabregans and Alursians will never achieve peace with people like you running around!"

"Oh no, I do believe in peace. Peace through superior firepower. No one will dare fight against us if they see they have no chance. Killing your mother will send a message to your barbaric race. If you screw with us, you pay the ultimate price!"

"You…!" Yukiko growled.

The king had a gate card in his hand. "I've had enough out of you!" he tossed in his gate card and it disappeared into the ground and let out a brown sheen. "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!" Kang stood and he pounded his chest.

Kyubis opened in Yukiko's hand. "Yukiko, don't let your emotions run you. We should calm ourselves, if you let him get into your head, then the battle is already lost, and we will lose your mother forever."

Yukiko thought hard about this and nodded right after as the mere thought of losing her mother had scared her, and she was already behind in saving her. If she didn't focus, she would definitely lose her. A white flaming aura surrounded her as Kyubis closed in her palm. "Bakugan Brawl!" she bounced on the field and stood and a white flaming aura spread out from her as soon as her ball form opened. "Kyubis, stand!" nine whips of fire formed and Kyubis' body emerged from those nine fire whips.

Kang: 1000 / Kyubis: 700

"Time to send you back to that hellhole of Alursia. Ability Activate, Rocket Fist!" Kang had aimed one of his fists forward and it launched off his arm and the boosters ignited, the blue flames charged the fist towards Kyubis. 500Gs was taken from Kyubis as the fist got closer, putting her down to 200Gs.

"Kyubis, run right towards it! Ability Activate, Soul Extinction!" Kyubis was sprinting towards the rocket fist and a purple, fiery aura covered her, and she let the rocket fist explode into her. Out of the large plume of smoke that was created, there was a white ghastly form of Kyubis that was speeding to Kang, and the gorilla cyborg was hit and he staggered. He was still lacking a right fist as it was still repairing. 650Gs was added to Kyubis, current power level, putting her at 850Gs.

"What did that, do? You're still lower on power aren't you?"

Yukiko kept quiet and she looked at the arm that Kang was still missing, Kyubis almost reading her mind, attacked Kang's right side. Yukiko thought back to her first battle. "We need to bait him into using other abilities, that don't require the use of his right arm."

"If you want to charge at him, be my guest! Ability Activate, Atlas Charge!" his rear boosters ignited with a blue fire and he threw himself forward with a shoulder tackle. Yukiko saw this as her best chance. 500 was added to Kang and 250 was taken from Kyubis.

Kang: 1500 / Kyubis: 600

"This is it!" There was two Ability card in between her fingers and she activated the first one. "Double Ability Activate, Explosion Guard!" Kyubis had a fiery aura surrounding her as she continued to charge forward. Her power increased to only 700Gs, she leaped and landed a hard headbutt onto Kang as he collided with her. Despite the 800G power difference, Kang staggered back and Kyubis gracefully landed on her feet. "Plus! Burning Demise!" Kyubis had fired a stream of white flames that engulfed Kang who screamed in pain. Afterward the cybernetic gorilla hybrid had fallen to one knee and had burn marks on his body. After this, 400 was added and Kang lost 300.

Kang: 1200 / Kyubis: 1100

"You stupid Bakugan!" the King angrily yelled shaking his fist. "Hurry up and regenerate your hand."

However, he heard a voice from his gauntlet. '[Exoskeleton regeneration interrupted due to Burning Demise!]' the gauntlet sounded.

"I don't understand!"

"Then let me put it in simple terms that even you will understand! Burning Demise inflicts a powerful flame that can even burn a foe from the inside out. Those flames have weakened you, and that thing you call a Bakugan will feel pain every time it moves."

"Preposterous!" the King jeered. "Ability Activate, Energy Jaw!" Kang had powered up a blue energy ball in his maw and it exploded into a powerful energy blast. Kang's power increased by 400 and took away the same amount from Kyubis.

Kang: 1600 / Kyubis: 700

Yukiko took out a card in retaliation. "We will do this, Kyubis! Ability Activate, Comet Crash!" Kyubis sprinted towards the blue beam that was speeding toward her and she made five energy comets surround her and she tossed them right into the blue beam which was enough to counter it. Making a black smoke cloud, that gave Kyubis some cover to escape in. Comet Crash transferred 400 which brought Kang back down to 1200 while putting Kyubis back at 1100.

Suddenly Kang was roaring in pain as white flames covered him. "What's wrong you stupid-" he gasped when he saw that 300Gs was taken away from him, bringing Kang down to 900Gs. "What the-"

"Remember Burning Demise, those are the after-effects I told you about?" Yukiko said. "And this speaking of which. Now Kyubis, Ability Activate, Meteor Foxtrot!" She was up in the air and eight fireballs had rained down towards Kang. This ability brought Kang's power level down further by 500Gs.

Kang: 400 / Kyubis: 1100

"No, I refuse to let myself lose to an Alursian runt! Ability Activate, Bio Shield!" Kang generated a blue, hemispherical barrier of light around him and the fireballs had crashed into it. The shield shattered but he did manage to defend himself. His power level increased by 300 putting him up to 700Gs. He saw on his gauntlet that the arm wasn't close to finishing regenerating since Kang was still taking interior damage from Burning Demise.

Kyubis then darted her pupils back to Yukiko and noticed she didn't make a move. She quickly knew that she was wondering what the King's next move would be. "Fine, you brought this on yourself. Gate Card Open!" the command card opened and there was a bright white glow around them. "Event Horizon!" suddenly there was a glowing orb of darkness that was looking to suction everything around them. Kyubis could barely hang onto her the ground as the jet black gravity sphere was pulling her closer and closer.

Yukiko had noticed a horrifying graphic when she looked at Kyubis' power level.

Kang: 400 / Kyubis: 0

The king was laughing to himself maniacally. "You see that! Event Horizon will suck up everything that isn't Kang into itself, and devour it completely!" he exclaimed with a laugh.

Yukiko held up a card. "Let's see how your Event Horizon can deal with a little, Ghastly Fire!" the card shone, and as Kyubis was being brought closer to the black hole. She opened her mouth and fired a stream of blue fire which was sucked up by the black hole, but as soon as it was, the light of the blue fire seemed to escape as the event was struggling to keep itself together. Then the black orb exploded, and the command card was nullified. Kyubis was back up to where her power level was before the black hole but she had an additional 300Gs on her.

Kang: 400 / Kyubis: 1400

The king's pupils were shifting in his eyes. "NO! IMPOSSIBLE!" he was even more terrified when he could see a white aura flaming aura surround Yukiko, and that same white aura surrounded Kyubis until the fire completely consumed her whole body. "NO… what is going on!?"

Yukiko was going through a change herself as her fox parts were turning white, her eyes were glowing bright yellow and she had symbols on cheeks that were flashing red. "What is this!?"

Queen Rena looked on in astonishment as it seemed that she knew what was going on. "Could that be Reversion!?" A magic circle had formed underneath her and the white flames exploded around her. Yukiko's traits became more pronounced and as for Kyubis, her red fur turned pure white and the accents turned red.

She held out a special card that formed in her hand out of the white fire. "Reversion Ability Activate! Kitsune Reflection!" White flames formed around Kyubis and she suddenly found her body changing and it the result of this had her transform into a complete copy of Subterra Kang which growled at the real Kang.

"What did you do!?" the King angrily asked.

"Kitsune Reflection! A Reversion ability that allows Kyubis to transform into any other Bakugan and enables the use of some of their abilities. The king gulped and stepped back.

"DAMMIT! Where is that ARM!"

"You mean this one?" Yukiko asked as she held a card in front of her. "Ability Activate, Earth Wrecker!" Kyubis-Kang had made rocks clump in between her arms and she flung the clumps of rock right at Kang who was thrown back. 300 was added to Kyubis and 200 taken from Kang.

Kang: 200 / Kyubis: 1700

The King raised his gauntlet. "I still have a leg in this fight, you damn whelp! Ability Activate, King Fortress!" Kang let out a powerful roar and his muscles were much more pronounced, rocks grew on his body and he angrily pounded his chest. His power increased by 500 and was up to 700.

Yukiko had two Abilities in her hand, a typical Fabregan Ability card, but also another card that had a different design. "You're going to pay for not using this Ability when you had the change! Double Ability Activate!" she yelled Atlas Charge, plus Fusion Ability -"

"OH NO!"

"DIAMOND SURGE!" Yukiko exclaimed as white energy was surging through Kang-Kyubis and she opened the thrusters on her back. They ignited and she was speeding very quickly to Kang. She threw a powerful punch to the real Kang that as she flew past him, he flipped in the air before landing on his stomach. The power of the fusion ability had doubled the effect of Atlas Charge, meaning Kyubis' power level was brought up by 1000Gs and Kang had lost 500Gs.

Kang: 200 / Kyubis: 2700

Kang was somehow still not taken out of the battle, but it was only a formality, as Kyubis had shifted back into her normal form. Yukiko was walking to the king as he was glaring at the girl with sheer rage. "How dare you-"

"Release my mother now… this battle is won. I don't want to have to take your Bakugan, or worse." she calmly said. The king started to chuckle to himself. "What is so funny?"

"Hehe… bested once again by your pesky Reversion! You filthy animals! However… it is a good thing your mother showed us in the flesh of how it is done."

"How so?"

"Because we were able to observe that energy, and at the moment are working on a way to recreate that energy. Called 'Synthetic Reversion'."

"You'll never be able to match Real Reversion!" Yukiko said.

"Yes, admittedly we are far from that reality, but you would have seen, that not only Alursians can harness the power of Reversion."

"Enough! You're stalling. Release my mother or I will take your Bakugan!"

The king chuckled again. "You see, you won't be taking much of anything from us! Isn't that right, Maximus…"

Yukiko's eyes grew wide as she could feel a presence behind her, she couldn't react fast enough as she could feel something sharp going through her mid-section. It came out the other side as blood was dripping from the sword. The sword itself was made of shining steel and there were blue runes on it. She turned back to see her assailant, Young Maximus looked at her with a confident grin. "You are looking at Fabrega's first, Reversion user, the first of many." Sparkles were leaking off of Yukiko as she tried her hardest to keep her Reversion form together because she felt it was the only thing keeping her alive at that moment.

"YUKIKO!" Kyubis yelled as sparkles were leaking off of her, she suddenly felt the sharp stinging pain that Yukiko was going through and she screamed out in pain. "No! The Reversion link!" she fell down to her stomach and she could see that Yukiko's form was fading. "No… if I let Yukiko lose all my power… then she will for sure die…"

The king walked to Yukiko who had dropped to her knees and she held the sword. She looked up at Maximus and Oeruaqx. "It… hurts…" she painfully muttered.

"Wow, she is still clinging onto life." the king muttered. "Unfortunately for you, there is no point! You see, Ran-Seki, the woman you came all this way here to save. Well, she's long dead."

Yukiko's eyes grew wide while her pupils shrunk. "NO… you're lying…" she whispered to herself, but when king and Maximus smirked as they watched her dying.

"Do you have any idea how many lives your mother took, how many families she ruined and torn apart? There was only one reasonable punishment for her crimes, and that is execution. After we captured her, we delivered her just punishment!" Yukiko couldn't stop the torrent of tears that were falling down her face she clenched her teeth while trying to prevent herself from crying. The pain going through her midsection was nothing compared to losing her mother, her own blood.

Kyubis on her end felt the pain and the heartbreak from her partner. "You… monsters!" she muttered in pain. Kyubis was holding her Reversion form because she wasn't about to let Yukiko die, unfortunately, her Bakugan form couldn't hold on and she screamed out as a red aura surrounded her and she landed on the ground, but her ball form was different. It was white like it was in her Reversion form with red accents.

Yukiko was floating as the white flames had continued to burn around her. The flames were so hot that it completely shattered the sword. "AHHHHHHHH!" Yukiko cried as she hovered, she continued to sob after losing her mother. The flames looked to be healing the gaping wound that Maximus made. 'Mother… I'm sorry…' The flames faded and she fell down and landed hard on the ground. She was very still for the moment, but her eyelids were tightly shut as she tried to fight the pain all over her body.

She tried to wake herself up, and she saw footsteps walking towards her, but since she lost, and her mother was already gone, she lost the will to keep living. She lost the will to keep fighting. Yukiko had accepted her fate.

Present Day

Kyubis sat on her bed after Yurina explained her near-tragic tale. "That is some story…" Kyubis said. "So how come I don't remember any of that?"

"You were captured and went through the reconditioning process. They wiped all of your memories," Yurina said. "But for some reason, you remain locked in your Reversion Form."

"And what about you?"

"Me? They let me live, even though I was practically waiting for them to finish me off. Eventually, I woke up in a cell, with no memories as I was reconditioned too, a kind soul though helped me regain them. After that, she managed to make me a recruit, and get me into the Royal Guard… and finally the high council. As far as everyone knows, I am Yurina. The king doesn't know that I remember what happened to me."

"So… what is your plan?" Kyubis asked. "Revenge?"

Yurina put her hand on the window that over-looked the city. "Revenge? Where would that get me? Yes, I was able to avenge my mother's death, but what then? You'd have the King's devoted supported rise up. Then one psycho would be able to think of an elaborate plan and kill me. You see, Revenge only repeats the cycle. Then a close friend of mine would kill that person. You see the problem?"

"I suppose, so what will you do?"

Yurina looked at Kyubis. "Yukiko wanted a unified world where everyone would get along. But Yukiko died that day, no. I am Yurina now, and what I want is… a Revolution. A new generation of people who will work together regardless of race, no jealousy, no selfishness, no bigotry. Just everyone working together to reach a greater good."

"And if there are people who disagree?"

Yurina giggled. "If they disagree, Fabregan or Alursian, it doesn't matter. If they can't see the greater good." she gave Kyubis a sweet smile. "Then they will be eradicated… simple." she walked to her vanity mirror. "The greater good is within gasp if anyone gets in my way. They will be killed." she fell to her bed next to Kyubis. "Soooo… knowing this, would you still help me?"

"Of course, if I trusted you back then, then why shouldn't I trust you now. If you believe that you can lead everyone into a better world, then I shall assist you."

Yurina smiled. "Aw~ thanks partner!" there was a knock on the door and she leaped up off the bed and in behind the door was Queen Rena. "Queenie!"

"Hello Yurina, how are you doing?"

"I just told Kyubis my origin story… I hope you don't mind."

The queen smiled. "Nope, not at all. I'm glad that Kyubis is finally on the same page." the queen walked inside. "So…" she bowed before her. "What is your next course of action, Miss Yurina?"

Yurina picked up her mask, her fox features disappeared and she placed it back on her face. "It's almost time to make our move."

Waves were crashing on the sand of a large beach. There were children playing, and splashing water on one another. Interestingly, the children were of both Fabregan and Alursian race. There were a couple of huts on the beaches. The coastal city in the background looked very advance with a couple of floating ships. There were also small cargo containers being moved in the streets.

The city wasn't very big, as homes and buildings were stacked on top of each other to save space and there were Aquos Bakugan diving around in the sea while other Ventus Bakugan were flying in the skies.

There were a couple of huts that sat near the outside of the city on the beach. Inside one of them, Zavanna slowly rose up from her sleep. She shielded her eyes from the sun's rays. She walked out and saw the landscape of Utopia City in the background.

"Utopia City… I haven't visited this place before. But it is beautiful…"

She could see, Bones approaching her tent. "Good morning, Zavanna. I trust you've managed to sleep well."

"I did," Zavanna said, but she looked worried as if something was on her mind. "So how did you manage to get Utopia City to allow us to stay here?"

"Utopia City is more accepting." Bones said. "They actually try to live up to their name, but because of their accepting nature. The King has made security lax around the city, so that's why everyone mostly bands together in times of crisis." they both spotted an Alursian with a scorpion tail helping lift a large crate with a young Fabregan girl directing him. "There is a real sense of community here."

"Why can't the rest of Fabrega be like this?"

"That is a question I, unfortunately, don't have the answer to. Unfortunately, many Alursians also choose to hold onto their hatred for Fabregans. Which, unfortunately, only makes the Fabregans feel justified in putting them down. It's a really complicated puzzle that no one has solved." Bones looked out to the ocean. "Many people are going to be set in their ways, all we can do is convince those in the middle to just be better to the others. We can't make Fabregans accept Alursians, but at the same time, we can't tell Alursians not to vilify Fabregans. If both are to work together, it needs to happen naturally."

"Yes… I agree with you." Zavanna said. "I'm at least glad that a place like this exists. It makes me have hope for the future."

Bones chuckled. "You should take a load off, I have thought everything through. Shino is in the process of finding a base of operations for us in the city, it will be secret from the Royal Guard of course."

Zavanna looked at the ball forms of Cameron's Flamingo and Akira's Pearora. "Nothing will alleviate my worry." she closed her eyes and her hair blew in the morning wind. "I have a feeling deep in my stomach that this harmony won't last. Something big is coming… something bad…" she held Scorchiree tighter in her other hand. "And I'm worried that we might not be able to have the strength to stop it…"

Both of them looked out into the ocean. Bones couldn't alleviate Zavanna's worry and he comfortingly put his hand on her shoulder. "Come, I should show you around the city. I think you'll like it."

Sorry for the long wait, this year has been crazy and I'm very sorry for not updating regularly. I hope to get back to regular updates as my creative juices are flowing better these days. So, I hope you enjoyed the chapter and I'll see you guys soon.
