The Gryffindor Common Room, Hogwarts
Harry
Later, Harry tossed and turned in his sleep. He didn't know what to do. Harry was sure that he was the child of Iapetus. The deme-titan. He decided to consult with Percy in the morning.
However, Percy seemed to suspect him of being the impersonator. He and his friends avoided him. Even Jason, whom Harry usually got along well with, walked in the opposite direction when Harry tried to approach him.
Harry almost wanted to shout right then and there, "I'm THE DEME-TITAN!" but he refrained. It would be uncouth of him.
School went on as usual. April passed without any major success. Soon, May rolled in. The temperature was hotter, the classes were harder, and the shadowy presence of 'exams' drifted closer with each passing day. Ron still was trying to get close to Annabeth. Some people never learn, Harry thought, as he watched Ron sit in the armchair right next to Annabeth's. Annabeth rolled her eyes and left.
Ron stood up too, and was saying something to Annabeth. Annabeth apparently ignored him.
Quidditch practice went on as usual. The summer Quidditch games were looming right around the corner, so the team was practicing extra hard. The muddy Quidditch field was often soggy from the spring showers that often occurred. They weren't cold, but it was really distracting when you were playing Quidditch, as it felt like warm soup.
Jason
Jason was worried about Percy. After the fight with Melinoe, he'd become much more seclusive. Jason wasn't sure why.
Of course, there still was the matter of Erebus. Jason wasn't sure why Erebus would try and stop them. Erebus in the old myths were often described as neutral. Granted, he wasn't in many myths.
He wasn't sure why Erebus wanted to take over the castle, either. At least, that's what Jason assumed he was doing. Monster attacks became more common. After the time with the Chimaera with Percy, and the attack of Melinoe, there were several more assaults that probably was started by Erebus. Once, when Jason was playing Quidditch, a flock of Stymphalian Birds attacked him. Recently, a gryphon, multiple venti, and some dracaenae also made their presence. At night, hellhounds routinely appeared, threatening the grounds of Hogwarts.
It had to stop soon.
This is quite a short chapter... Mostly to set the setting and the pace for the ending of the story. So you can say it is the transition between the middle of the story and the end.
