Awhile Later

Tree Hill

The Davis/Scott Home

"You don't like me do you.?" Jack asked. Looking to Lilly. As she put the remaining dessert in the fridge.

Al and Theo had finished dinner and raced outside to finish a pick up game between them. When all that activity tired them out. The two came back inside and went straight to bed.

The teenager had just finished checking in with her dad and Brooke. She was tired and wanted to enjoy the rest of her friday alone. Her homework was done so she had the remaining days to herself. But since he asked she might as well answer the question.

"What does it matter what i think or how i feel.? You're living here. My dad and Brooke made room upstairs so you could have a space of you're own. Al and Theo worship you. So why do you care.?" Lilly asked.

"As much as all of that matters to me. Especially what Brooke and Lucas have done. What you think of me matters. Yeah Al and Theo like having me to hang out with. But none of that compares to what you mean to them."

"I would like us to be friends. If that's possible." Jack replied.

"Honestly i don't not like you. It's just trusting for me takes time. I don't know how to feel about you yet but i'm willing to give you a chance. That's all i can offer at the moment." Lilly said.

"Fair enough." Jack said.

"What do you want from this temporary arrangement anyway.?" Lilly asked.

Jack took a breath. The walls normally bolted shut slightly lowered.

"Something i've never really had before. A family." Jack admitted.

"Since we're both free for the night. How about we have a movie night and talk.?" Lilly suggested.

"Sure sounds fun." Jack replied smiling slightly.

The hotel room was steps away from the water. It was just spacious their luggage was pulled away. The couple went to breakfast.

To Brooke's surprise they were eating dinner on the beach. The area they were seated at was decoracted with candles and rose pedals.

"This night. Is perfect from the minute we got here. I can't thank you enough for whisking me away on this trip. You've managed to keep the details of this trip a secret from me. Which isn't easy to do." Brooke said. Looking over at Lucas.

Lucas took his gaze off the fading sunset and looked to her.

"It took a certain amount of effort but it was worth it. Seeing the look on you're face was all i wanted." Lucas replied.

"You were quiet during dinner what's going on. Anything you want to talk about.?" Brooke asked.

Lucas nodded his head in agreement. Smiling back at her. As he got down on one knee. Revealing a ring box.

An expression on surprise and shock went across her face. Her gaze locked on his. Taking in his words.

"I've envisioned this moment in my dreams many times. Yet it seemed so far away. Almost impossible. I thought we were lost to each other forever. Fate. Circumstances. Or pure luck. Brought us back into the same place."

"No amount of time. Distance. Or obstacles. Changed how we felt about each other."

"You told me once a long time ago. People that are meant to be together find their way in the end. Here we are but this is only the start of what our life together will look like. It's me and you. No matter where life takes us next. Brooke Penelope Davis. Will you marry me.?" Lucas asked.

"Yes! There is nothing i want more then to spend the rest of my life being you're wife." Brooke replied.

Lucas slipped the ring on her finger.

Brooke cupped his face in her hands kissing him.

When the couple eventually made their way back to their room.

Their eyes were locked on each other.

Brooke took a deep breath and let go of his hand.

"I'll admit it. I'm nervous. The last time we were alone like this."

"In love. And hopeful. We spent the night together and i left weeks later. After breaking you're heart." Brooke said.

"I wasn't going to mention it." Lucas replied.

"How can you not.? This force has pulled us in the same direction since we met. We tried denying it. Forgetting it. Pushing each other away. None of that did anything but bring us closer."

"I want you. All of you. To express exactly how much i love you. But if you aren't ready. We won't until you are." Brooke proclaimed.

Lucas took ahold of her hands. The expression on his face softening.

"Nothing comes with know that better then anyone want my heart. You have it. You want to be let in. You are. I'm yours." Lucas replied.

He leaned over kissing her

Brooke kissed him back.

She reached for his shirt. Tossing it the floor. Running her hands over his bare chest.

Lucas reached for both straps of her dress. And pulled them down at once. Leaning over kissing her bare shoulder blades.

Brooke's eyes shut as she shivered at the contact.

Feeling his hands pull the dress off in one swift movement.

Made her skin feel hot and her senses on full alert. Craving his lips and touch.

Brooke leaned over taking his pants off. Feeling her heart race. As she tossed it the building pile of various clothing items on the floor.

Only in a bra and panties. Brooke had never felt more vunerable.

Only in his boxers. Lucas caressed her face with his hand.

"I need you." He confessed.

"I need you more. You taught me what real love is supposed to be like." Brooke replied.

She kissed him hard.

He kissed her back.

She pulled them down onto the bed.

He positioned himself between her legs. Reaching over removing her bra slowly.

Brooke felt her heart pounding so loudly.

Brooke pulled down his boxers.

Lucas leaned over pulling off her panties

Tossing them to the floor.

He locked eyes with her. Taking in the sight of her naked body.

He had a clear view of her scars now. He gently kissed them.

"You're perfect." Lucas said.

Brooke felt tears welling up in her eyes.

"Look at me." He requested.

Brooke took a breath. Looking up at him.

"I only know what it means to be in love because of you." Lucas proclaimed. Leaning over reconnecting their lips.

Brooke felt tears fall from her eyes as she clung to him.

Their bodies once seperate were now moving as one.
