April 5th Tuesday.

Jamie and Eddie were at the hospital checking up on the victim (a John Doe) involved in a shooting they had been involved in earlier. The gunman got away and they needed to talk to this guy to get more info.

"I'd say by tomorrow he should be more aware and up for talking." The nurse told them. He was sleeping and groggy from emergency surgery.

"Of course. Thanks for your time." Jamie said and they both walked down the hall to leave the hospital.

"Huh. Well, guess I ain't sleeping good tonight." Eddie said with a sigh disappointed the gunman was still out there.

"There's nothing else we can do, we put in the best description we could but..." Jamie said.

"Yeah black pants, black hoodie, black man...really helpful." She said.

"Eddie you could've gotten hurt, or worse you could've gotten the baby hurt, if you would've kept after him." Jamie told her as they reached the parking garage.

"I know." Eddie confessed and held her stomach. They stood and waited for the elevator to open.

"I'm just saying you need to be careful with that little boy in there." Jamie said making Eddie smile. They got onto the elevator and up to the 5th floor. When they got off they heard screaming.

"Where the hells that coming from!?" Eddie asked panicked.

"I don't know!" Jamie and her took off toward the sound. They came up on a car with its driver door open. There was a young women probably 20 years old sitting in the seat with her feet out onto the ground wincing in pain.

"Ma'am are you okay!?" Jamie rushed right to her.

"She's in labor!" Eddie said and got down with them.

"How do you know!?" Jamie asked.

"I know that face!" Eddie said.

"Ah! Yes! I'm in labor! My damn boyfriend won't answer his phone!" She said very angrily through the pain, gritting her teeth.

"Okay just calm down. What's your name?" Jamie said and got his gloves on, so did Eddie.

"Jenn!" She said.

"Okay, Jenn, my names Jamie. Were gonna help you, we've delivered babies before. Eddie call it." Jamie said and quick got gloves on.

"Ugh I don't even care just get it out of me!" She demanded. Eddie got on the radio and Jamie got all up in this women's business.

"I can feel and see the head. Next contraction I want you to push okay?" Jamie said.

"Ambulance is coming Jenn! Where we at!?" Eddie asked and got down where Jamie was.

"Oh we're here! Okay, okay..!" Eddie got up and opened the back seat of her car to grab a blanket she had.

"Ahh!" She screamed in pain, it echoed in the parking garage and probably for miles around.

"Good! That was good! Next one let's do another big push okay?" Jamie said to this young girl, she was scared, trying to catch her breath.

"Here Jamie, I found these." Eddie brought over the blankets.

"Ugh! Here comes another one!" Jenn said wincing.

"Alright push!" Jamie directed.

"There ya go! Push push! The heads almost out!" Eddie said.

"I can't it hurts!" She said crying.

"You can do it! I know it hurts! You got it!" Eddie said assuring.

"C'mon Jenn one big push!" Jamie told her and she listened. He helped the baby out and then they heard sirens coming.

"She's here Jenn!" Jamie told her and let Eddie take him in the blanket. He was wailing.

"Huh! Oh my god!" She said catching her breath and crying. Jamie was sweating he ripped off his gloves and walked out into the open area so the paramedics could find them.

"She's beautiful Jenn!" Eddie said and handed her to her. She snuggled the baby into her and tried to get him to stop crying. Eddie rubbed her back also comforting her.

"Over here!" Jamie yelled. The paramedics ran over and immediately started assisting Jenn and the baby.

"Well take it from here thanks." The one told Eddie. She politely nodded and joined Jamie.

"That was intense." He said trying to catch his breath. He was still sweating, he took off his jacket and leaned against a truck.

"Yeah...are you okay?" Eddie asked concerned.

"Yeah. Just forgot how intense that was and how your next." He said.

"Jamie I plan on getting an epidural again and better yet, you aren't delivering it." Eddie told him laughing.

"I know...you were still in pain." Jamie reminded her.

"Ugh yeah but not like that. She's a warrior. I couldn't do that." Eddie said.

"You set your mind to it you could." Jamie assured. She cocked her head like that was not true.

"C'mon lets go find out where this boyfriend is." Jamie suggested and walked back over to Jenn. They had gotten her on the stretcher.

"Jenn, we'd like to get a hold of your boyfriend what's his name? Any idea where he is?" Jamie asked.

"Trevor Santiago, Probably sitting at home playing video games with the damn headset on, he never hears me call." She said.

"Ok well, just give us the address and we'll go get him." Jamie said. Eddie wrote down the address and they headed back to their car.

"As graphic as childbirth is...you delivering that baby kinda turned me on." Eddie told Jamie as they started to drive. Jamie laughed at her and shook his head.

"Wait Eddie what's the address?" Jamie asked, he was on to something more important.

"315, chestnut lane." Eddie read off the paper she wrote.

"Isn't that the house we were at earlier!?" Jamie questioned as they got closer to it.

"Oh my god... I bet our witness is Trevor!" Eddie said.

"Or the gunman?!" Jamie added as they pulled up to the house/crime scene.

"The baby was white." Eddie said. They got out of the car and asked the detectives to go inside and look around.

"Check this out." Jamie called from the living room. He pointed at an X-Box, the controller and headphones were laying on the floor. A detective came in to talk to them about what they think happened.

"So guy comes in, they get into it, he fires shot, that's when a neighbor calls 911, they hear you guys coming, guy runs out of the house-" the detective was saying.

"That's when we see them both bolting down the street." Jamie interrupted.

"Yeah, so we got a unit looking in a 2 mile radius but so far nothing. No ones seen anything." The detective added.

"Man." Eddie shook her head uneasy.

"Do you know who lives here? A Trevor Santiago?" Jamie asked.

"Yeah he's 19, lives here with his parents who we can't get a hold of." The detective said. Jamie and Eddie looked at each-other and felt awful, there stomachs turning.

"Well his girlfriend is in the hospital now, she was giving birth in the parking garage when we left the hospital. Couldn't get a hold of Trevor. My bet is she was right, he was playing video games." Jamie said looking at Eddie.

"Yeah and he didn't see it coming." Eddie said shaking her head.

"Well...looks like we're making a trip back to the hospital." Jamie said and hit Eddie in the back (obviously playfully), they walked back to their car.

"Huh." Eddie closed her eyes and swallowed hard. Jamie grabbed her hand as he drove off.

"Doc said he'll be fine Janko..." he assured her.

"I just have a bad feeling." She said.
