Author's Note:
The only complaint I've heard about how I write Ruby are about her ridiculous engineering skills and how it's OOC for her to want to work on them/the others letting them. Because some of them probably built their own weapons too etc.
Her fast engineering skills are a concession I made back when I decided to write an epilogue fic after the reactions are done. I wanted to write how season 3 would play out if they had RvB upgrades etc. I'm probably not going to change anything unless her making upgrades annoys a lot of you.
P.S: The epilogue fic has now been shortened, I'm probably just going to do a few epilogue chapters in the Chorus reaction.
P.S.S: I thought this would he an easy chapter to write. I forgot what this episode was, this reaction is almost as important as the CT reaction.

Chapter 42- Out of Mind
"We can relax until the tournament, I hope there are enough seasons to last until then." Weiss smiled.
"Out of Mind" appeared on the screen with the theme.
"Out of Body, and now Out of Mind." Blake commented.
"Hm, I wonder if the next episode will be titled Out of Soul." Ren pondered.
Fade in to a beach from the Halo 2 map Relic.
"What happened to the graphics?" Blake raised an eyebrow.
Ruby's eyes widened. "I think it's one of the older games."
"The game before the game they're in now." Jaune agreed.
A portion of audio from the Out of Mind mini-series is heard in the background.
Tex: "(voice over) Okay, I'll take the lead. Give me fifteen seconds, then follow. Sync?"
"Oh I know where this is!" Yang sat up, "This is where Tex and York fought Wyoming."
"When was.. oh yeah in Out of Mind." Ruby nodded.
"Explains the title of the episode." Blake mumbled.
"Hm, this is where York died." Pyrrha looked down, "This is the island fortress Carolina mentioned."
York: "(voice over) ...Sync."
Fade to the holographic lock and teleporter from Out of Mind.
Delta: "(voice over) Fire detected. Cover recommended."
Tex: "(voice over) Damn it! Damn! Cover, cover, cover!"
A battle rifle is heard firing, with a scream of pain from York following.
"It's so much worse hearing it now." Ruby winced.
"I hope what we're hearing isn't from an audio log that Carolina is listening to right now." Pyrrha grimaced, "Hearing his death would be horrible for her."
"Out of all the freelancers I think she was closest to York." Ruby added with a sad sigh.
Fade to the fortress
Tex: "(voice over) York, are you okay?! How bad is it, D?"
Delta: "(voice over) York will not survive."
Ren shook his head.
Fade in to a blast mark in a corner of the fortress.
"That's all that's left? A scorch mark." Pyrrha took a calming breath, "He didn't deserve to end up like that."
Blake sighed, shaking her head. "I wonder if Wash regrets setting the charge. He was so apathetic then."
"It was his job, as unfortunate as it is." Ren grimaced.
Cut to Carolina staring at it.
Carolina: "I'm sorry, York."
"ABANDONED ISLAND FORTRESS. PRESENT DAY." Appeared on the screen as the opening of "Good Fight" by Trocadero plays.
Carolina: "Sorry I didn't listen. I just...I don't understand. Why her?"
Church appears on Carolina's Mongoose which is not far behind her.
"He's intruding on something private." Pyrrha commented, "If he can log off, he should."
Ruby nodded, "She's visiting the closest thing to his grave, it should be private." Yang wordlessly put a hand on Ruby's back and gave her a few light pats.
Carolina: "Why Tex?"
What does that mean? Yang frowned.
Church: "Tex?"
Carolina turns around and notices Church.
Carolina: "You."
"He's just as bad as Tucker." Blake shook her head.
Church: "Ah, shit."
"He doesn't sound that upset about being caught." Ruby noted.
"Do you think he did it on purpose?" Nora asked.
Ruby shrugged, "Maybe."
Carolina walks over to Church.
Carolina: "Let me guess, just... wanted some information."
Church: "Carolina I don't-"
Carolina: "You don't have a clue, do you? You and your friends just think I'm some blood-thirsty merc with a bad attitude. But you know what? You're wrong. I'm much worse."
"Is she trying to scare him?" Yang asked.
"It worked on the others." Blake shrugged.
"Threats don't work on an A.I." Ren chuckled.
"And Tex is way scarier." Ruby giggled.
Yang laughed, "And she could actually hurt him, what happens if a ghost shoots a ghost remember?"
Church: "Look, you go and round up everyone I know just to bring me back, and then you keep us all in the dark? What the hell did you think was going to happen, Carolina? Of course no one trusts you!"
"They had to resort to spying, but they're all terrible at staying quiet." Blake rolled her eyes.
"Well all they do is stand around and talk, it's instinct at this point." Weiss chuckled.
Carolina: "Well I don't trust them, Epsilon. I don't trust anyone anymore."
Church: "Oh, why not? Because having friends would ruin the whole 'psychotic loner bitch' thing you got going on? 'Cause that would be a real shame."
Yang smiled, "I like that Church is straight with everyone, he doesn't mince words."
"Sometimes he's too mean about it." Ruby commented.
"I think she's a little deserving of it here.. right?" Yang asked.
Pyrrha nodded, "Carolina hasn't given the Reds and Blues a chance. I'm sure she has great reasons to be distrusting but so did Washington."
"Yet he gave them a chance and worked with them to stop the Meta, twice." Blake nodded emphasized by holding up two fingers.
Carolina: "It's because I had a team once."
Flashbacks begin to appear of all of the Freelancers during events from Season 9.
Carolina: "A team with the best training, the best equipment, and despite everything that they had that made them the best-"
As Carolina spoke, Nora winced. Glancing down at her Hammer, then to her team. Jaune, Ren, and finally settling her gaze Pyrrha. Her mind began to race.
Carolina: "They still lied, and stole, and tore each other to pieces! So you tell me: How the hell am I supposed to trust a rag-tag team of idiots when I couldn't even trust the people that were closest to me?!"
Nora stilled, she tried taking a deep breath but it caught in her throat.
"Nora? Is something wrong?" Pyrrha turned with concern towards Nora.
Nora shook her head rapidly and looked down, "That- that won't happen to us will it?" She blurted out. "I mean we're a team, we have the best training, the best equipment and you know we're the best." She looked up as if it was a fact, but the fact didn't bring her any comfort or cheer at the moment. "Hearing that from y- I mean Carolina I started thinking- what if that happens to us! I trust all of you but it can happen I mean we're only first years. People grow apart and what if we start lying to each other?" Nora spoke rapidly without breathing, "Something can come between us, it won't even be our fault and it can start out small but-"
"Nora." Pyrrha placed a hand on her shoulder, shocking the girl. "I have complete trust in you. In all of you." She turned to meet her teammates eyes, then team RWBY's. "We're not like them." She stated simply, returning her gaze to Nora who relaxed a tiny bit.
"We're better." Jaune added.
"We haven't grown apart." Ren smiled.
Nora nodded warily as their words clicked in her mind. Unashamed, she wiped her eyes and smiled brightly, then blushed. "Sorry it's not that I don't trust any of you." She turned from Pyrrha to everyone. "I trust all of you, It's just.. hearing Pyrrha's voice made it feel so real. It was weird."
Pyrrha smiled sadly, "I understand, hearing her when she's angry and now this." She gestured to the screen. "It's hard for me too sometimes. I can't help but not associate with it."
Nora nodded, "It has to be really hard for her." Nora perked up, all fears and worries gone with the simple confirmation from her friends.
"No wonder she's so bitter." Yang grimaced, "Think about just how many of them betrayed the others. C.T. was just the start. Wyoming killed York, South let the Meta kill her brother, and Maine.." Yang trailed off.
Pyrrha nodded, seeing her point.
"I hope she can come to trust the rag tag team of idiots. It's important to trust your team." Blake looked around. "I've told you about my former partner, despite everything that made him great. He became horrible, it's hard to trust after that." Blake's ears flopped down. "I understand how Carolina feels."
"But then we came along!" Ruby smiled.
"Yeah, we're the rag tag team you can trust." Yang smirked.
Weiss scoffed, "We may be ragtag, but we're not idiots. And we're certainly not going to be anything like Carolina's former team or your former partner."
Blake laughed, her ears perking up. "I know."
Church looks away for a brief moment and then vanishes.
Carolina: "That's what I thought."
Fade to black. Cut back in to Grif, Simmons, and Tucker inside the temple at the desert.
Grif: "(sigh) I never thought I'd say this, but I can't sleep."
Nora smiled, happy that the reds and blues were there.
"How is that possible?" Weiss frowned.
"He's probably anxious." Blake suggested.
"ANCIENT ALIEN TEMPLES. PRESENT DAY." Appeared on the screen.
Simmons: "Yes, we know! You've been shoveling food into your mouth for an hour!"
Tucker runs up behind Grif.
Tucker: "Yeah, what's up with that?"
Grif: "It's a nervous habit, okay?"
Tucker: "No, where the fuck does someone find potato chips in the middle of the desert?!"
"Ew gross those chips are probably stale!" Ruby recoiled.
Sarge: "Ah, quit your complaining. Carolina is probably miles away by now. The only thing we've got to worry about are sand fleas...and that other highly trained operative on patrol outside."
"Is he nervous about Wash?" Blake asked.
"I think Church made them all a little worried about him." Ruby winced.
Pyrrha shook her head, "I don't like where this is going, the reds and blues distrust Wash and Carolina and she distrusts them."
"I hope Wash doesn't follow suite with Carolina." Blake's eyes widened, "It could happen.. but I don't think it will. After what happened in season eight, Wash would never betray the reds and blues."
Tucker: "Wow. You have a way with words that just immediately makes me want to kill myself."
Sarge: "Look, it's like your little fairy friend said."
Tucker: "I thought Donut was your friend?"
Simmons: "He means Church."
Sarge: "All we've got to do is stick together, and everything will be just fine."
Grif: "Well somebody probably should've told Caboose that, 'cause he's gone."
Ruby giggled, "The last time Caboose disappeared in the temple he put Church in the artifact."
"I wonder what he'll do now." Pyrrha smiled.
Fade to a lighter on the floor of the island fortress with the Club Errera symbol on it. Carolina is seen staring at it. Church appears on the Mongoose again, albeit very distorted.
Church: "C-C-Carolina?"
Ruby leaned forward.
Carolina: "I'm done talking to you."
Church: "Carolina, I think I found something you might want to s-see."
"Something's wrong with him." Ruby frowned.
Carolina: "Really? What might that be?"
Delta appears in Church's place.
Epsilon-Delta: "A memory."
"Delta?" Ren sat up, "Epsilon Delta."
"I forgot he also remembered Delta." Ruby commented.
"Now he is the memory he was searching for." Jaune smirked, glancing at Ren who chuckled and nodded.
"I wonder if he has memories of all the fragments." Ruby added.
"He probably does, all the fragments before Alpha split him away." Ren nodded.
Carolina: "Delta?!"
Epsilon-Delta: "We must be brief. Epsilon is struggling to remember."
Carolina: "Remember what?"
Epsilon-Delta vanishes
Carolina: "Delta? Delta, please don't-"
A holographic image of York appears, glowing green.
York: "Good evening, beautiful people. It's a lovely Monday night and I'm here with another adrenaline pumping journal entry, courtesy of our good friend, Delta."
"Wow, he makes journal entries not boring." Nora complimented.
"They're adrenaline pumping." Yang added with a chuckle.
Carolina: "It can't be."
Delta: "(off screen) York, please, documentation is an important part of-"
York: "Yea, yeah. Jiminy Christmas forgive me for trying to lighten the mood."
Nora, Blake, and Pyrrha laughed.
"We need someone to lighten the mood now." Pyrrha commented.
"That's what the reds and blues are for." Nora smiled.
York: "So today, I intercepted some interesting messages from our good friends over at Project Freelancer. It sounds like someone is causing them a bit of trouble. Old news, I know. Old news. But here's the interesting part; D, give me a drum roll please."
Delta: "(off screen) I would prefer not to."
"I'll do it!" Nora shouted, she drummed slapping her hands onto her knees. Jaune chuckled and hit play as soon as she finished.
York: "They said she, she as in a lady. Not Wyoming. Not Maine. But a former female Freelancer has suddenly popped up on the PFL radar. And if you know me, then you know my money's on the gal in the greenish-blue-seafoam-green-turquoise- whatever it is- armor."
"No one can recognize aqua." Weiss mumbled, shaking her head.
"He still thought she was alive, she was presumed dead." Blake commented.
"He was right, but he died before seeing her again." Pyrrha sighed.
"It's sad, I wonder what happened to her before she gathered the reds and blues to hunt the Director." Ruby commented. "Do you think she chose not to find him or couldn't?"
"I don't know if she couldn't or wouldn't, but she does regret something." Pyrrha noted.
"It sounded like something involving Tex." Yang added. I'd bet Carolina's jealousy got in the way somehow with York and Tex. I doubt it's anything romantic." Yang snickered at the absurdity of the idea. "But something."
Pyrrha nodded, "The break in, York is probably one of the freelancers that took part in the break in. We know Tex did too."
Yang sat up, "Yeah that's it, there's no way Carolina would join Tex."
York: "Well at least, if I had any money."
"He had to pick locks and steal, that's where Tex found him." Ruby commented. "Which is weird, why was he trying to break in during the day?"
"It's the safest time to break in, people are home at night." Blake explained. "It's a small detail but I like it. Though it doesn't take an expert to break into an apartment, it shows his past as an infiltration expert."
York vanishes
Carolina: "(runs forward) Wait!"
York reappears again with a different entry.
York: "Still no ID on our female trouble maker. But given what I know about South's last location, fairly certain the odds are in my favor."
Delta: "(off screen) Again, I must point out that from a statistical standpoint, the odds of Agent Carolina-"
York: "-In other news, hurricane Delta continues to rain on my parade."
"It can't be Carolina, although the Director probably knows she's alive, everyone else doesn't. Or didn't." Blake frowned.
"It's probably Tex, who else can it be?" Yang sighed.
York vanishes and reappears again
York: "So when I finally see her again, I think I've narrowed my lines down to like, two options, okay? Here they are: One, hey there Carolina, if I said I like your armor, would you hold it against me?"
Yang laughed, "His pickup lines are way better than Tucker's. I like that pickup line. It has two meanings." Yang held up one hand, "She can hold it against him as in to get angry at him for saying that." She held up her other hand, "Or she can literally hold her armor against him."
York: "Or two-"
Delta: "(off screen) York, please focus."
York: "What? Pickup lines are important D. Did I ever tell you about how we met? See, I was out one night with my buddies...they abandoned me at some ridiculous nightclub, I think it was called…"
York and Carolina: "(simultaneously) Errera."
"They met each other before the project?" Ruby sighed, "They were closer than I thought."
"They probably joined together." Blake commented.
"If they did, I bet he joined because of her." Yang added.
York: "So I'm just sitting there at the bar, bored out of my skull, and I'm flicking this lighter off and on. Then from out of nowhere, she walks up and just grabs the lighter, right out of my hands, and she goes-"
York vanishes.
"Aw we're not going to hear what she said." Ruby whined.
Yang laughed, "I wonder if it was a pickup line."
"I doubt it, that doesn't sound like Carolina." Blake chuckled.
"What could Carolina's pick up line possibly be?" Weiss asked.
Yang hummed for a moment, "'Need a light?'" Yang said in an attempt to imitate Pyrrha's voice. "And then she does this." Yang gestured to herself.
Pyrrha chuckled, "That was good."
"I think stealing York's lighter is perfect for her, she's not the kind of person to wait around for someone to hit on her." Yang chuckled.
"That lighter she took though." Blake leaned forward, "That was the lighter on the ground at the beginning of the episode, I think it even said Errera on it."
Ruby gasped, "That's what she lost, I bet she came for it."
"It's a miracle it survived the blast." Blake added.
York reappears.
York: "Agent Foxtrot 12, journal entry 0424. Intercepted another transmission from command today. They have confirmed that... Agent Texas continues to evade their response teams. And she still does possess the Omega AI. Nothing more to report."
Ruby, Blake, Yang, Weiss, and Pyrrha winced, all hearing the defeated tone in York's voice.
"I think this is when he accepted that she died." Blake commented.
Delta: "(off screen) ...York."
York: "You know, D? I bet if I had opened up with a pickup line, I would've never seen her again."
Delta: "(off screen) Why is that?"
York: "Because she probably would've busted my other eye."
Pyrrha laughed sadly.
Yang chuckled, "He literally would never see her again.. I wish he could have."
Delta: "(off screen) What would you have told her, York?"
York: "I would've told her...that I understand why she did what she did. I just wish she hadn't...I wish she could've learned to let things go. I guess I should too."
York vanishes for the final time; ending the journal.
"At least his words got to her." Pyrrha smiled.
"It's so cruel." Ruby sniffed, "She was alive but he never got to see her."
"It's horrible for him, he understands why she did whatever she did. There's no questioning, all he can do is wish that she hadn't." Blake sighed.
Yang nodded, I wonder if I'll feel that way after I find her. I don't think any answers can be comforting.
Carolina: "(to Church) ...Why did you show me that?"
Church: "Because... I know what it's like to spend your life chasing ghosts."
Yang grimaced as a tear fell from her right eye, "Damnit."
"Yang?" Ruby turned, full of worry.
"It's-" Yang grumbled and sighed as all eyes turned toward her. "I know what it's like too, you know? To spend my life chasing a ghost."
Blake and Ruby nodded, the others shook their heads.
Yang took in a breath, "It's my mom, not Ruby's. Our last names are different for a reason. I took our Dad's and Ruby took her mom's."
"I always wondered about that but thought it was rude to ask." Jaune commented.
Yang scoffed, "You guys can ask me anything." She smiled before turning serious, "Ever since I learned about my mom. I've always wanted to find her, and well she's pretty much a ghost." She shrugged. "I barely know anything about her, and no one has seen her since she left. I just want to know the answer to know what happened to her, and why she left." Yang chuckled, "I think that's the real ghost I'm looking for, not her. The answers to those questions."
Everyone stared at her, as she took a breath.
"But unlike Church and Carolina, I won't let my search run my life. I learned that lesson early when I almost got Ruby killed." Yang paused as a few gasps from Weiss, Jaune, Pyrrha, and Nora escaped. "Long story." She waved it off.
"You almost died too." Ruby grumbled, "And I don't blame you."
Yang smiled and ruffled Ruby's hair. "I think Church and Carolina have it worse. Church's ghost is a literal ghost, he had to forget her entirely. And Carolina is just going to make her ghost a ghost.. know what I mean?"
"She wants to kill the director." Blake nodded.
Weiss gaped at Yang, "Were you seriously trying to make a pun?"
Yang laughed loudly with heaving breaths, "Sorry I just told everyone my sob story, I had to lighten the mood."
Weiss rolled her eyes with obvious mock anger at Yang.
"I think it's good for Church that he let Tex go." Ruby commented.
"Me too, but you know it wasn't easy for him." Yang met Ruby's eyes. Both nodded, thinking about their father after their true mother died.
Fade to Washington atop the temple, staring into the sunset.
"Woah, the desert looks amazing at night." Jaune commented.
"I think I understand what Sun means now." Blake agreed. It really is beautiful, it must look even better in Vacuo.
Cut to a front view of Washington looking off screen.
Caboose: "(whispering)Sneaking."
The group fell into a fit of chuckles and giggles the instant the words left Caboose's mouth.
"Caboose's stealth skills are growing on me." Blake commented.
Caboose: "Sneaking, sneaking, sneaking."
As Wash turns, Caboose appears behind him.
Washington: "(sigh)Hello, Caboose."
Caboose: "(still whispering) Hello, Agent Washington."
"It's incredible how Caboose can lighten the mood of the show the instant he appears on screen." Blake snapped her fingers.
"It's why he's my favorite character." Pyrrha smiled.
Washington: "Caboose, you know you're supposed to be in the temple with the rest of your squad?"
Caboose: "Um, yes. Um well, um, but see um, I am spying on you."
"Caboose along with Theta are probably the two sweetest characters in this show." Pyrrha smiled.
"Caboose is like a child sometimes, it's oddly endearing." Weiss commented.
"Sometimes it's hard not to imagine Caboose as a child in the suit with stilts." Yang added.
Washington: "(long sigh)And why are you spying on me, Caboose?"
Caboose: "Well yes um, since everyone is kind of scared of you and uh Carolina, we figured we should try and get as much information on you guys as possible. So um, where do you guys see yourself in the next 5–10 years?"
"I like that Caboose suddenly became an job applicant interviewer." Weiss chuckled.
"It would be rude not to answer him." Nora huffed, "I see myself in a palace, surrounded by pink dyed Grimm rugs! With my servants carrying my palanquin from my bedroom to my kitchen everyday! Where my kitchen servant Ren, serves anything I want. And after we've had our fill, we add to our collection of rugs!"
Ren looked up at Nora and shook his head, "I see myself doing something else. I want to protect villages outside the kingdoms, and possibly teach them how to better fight the Grimm."
"I see myself just being a huntress." Ruby shrugged, "I know all of you." Ruby gestured to her team, "Have different goals but I'd like to go on missions with you even after Beacon. Just helping people."
Blake smiled, "It's a nice image, I see myself doing the same. But I also see myself helping the Faunus and undoing the years of hate. Hopefully by then I will have figured out how to do it."
"I'm a huntress first and the heiress to the SDC second, in ten years I see no reason why I cannot be both." Weiss explained. "I will make the Schnee name honorable and trustworthy again, and I will do my best to ensure the company never sinks to the lows my father has brought it to ever again."
"I see myself being a huntsman I guess." Jaune frowned, "I don't really know where I'll be after Beacon. But.." Jaune blushed, "I'll be a huntsmen no matter what. Like my father, and grandfather before him."
Yang grinned, "I have no idea what I'll be doing in five to ten years, and that's a good thing."
Pyrrha turned to Ruby, "I see myself doing the same as you, helping people and the world in the best way I can. It's the destiny I chose when I decided to become a huntress."
Ren smiled, "All of us have our goals, some small." He gestured to himself, "And some.." he turned to Nora, "Grand, but we have our goals nonetheless. Though II don't think the same can be said of Washington or Carolina."
Blake hummed, "I think Wash is like the reds and blues now, I think deep down, he wants to be exactly where he is."
"And hopefully Carolina finds out where she wants to be too." Pyrrha smiled.
Washington: "Caboose, you do realize that when you spy on someone, no one's actually supposed to know you are spying on them."
Caboose: "I know, I just figured that you wouldn't tell anyone."
Washington: "Wait, what makes you think that?"
Caboose: "Oh, come on Agent Washington. I mean I'm- you know I'm pretty sure- you know that we can trust you. I mean, we are friends."
Caboose walks away. Washington stares back into the sunset.
Washington: "Friends."
Blake chuckled, "I don't think Wash understood that they were friends yet, to hear it confirmed must feel good."
"So matter of factly too, Caboose didn't hesitate." Nora grinned.
"Caboose is the only one who could have told him that, the others deny it but they are truly friends." Pyrrha smiled.
Fade back to fortress. Carolina is crouched in front of Church.
Carolina: "I don't understand...these are more than memory."
Church: "His journal entries were part of the data that Wash recovered and they stored them in his personal file. Which just so happens to be one of many folders that yours truly picked up, the last time I visited a Freelancer facility. Not bad for a rag tag idiot, if I do say so myself. Feel free to start begging for my forgiveness whenever you feel like it, Carolina."
Ruby groaned "He's pushing it too far!" She grabbed her hair.
"He's earned himself another bullet." Yang laughed.
Carolina: "Not happening."
Ruby gasped, "Wait, does anyone else feel like she's smiling?"
"I feel it too." Pyrrha grinned, "Church got through to her."
"He was able to give her some closure. Blake explained.
Carolina stands up.
Church: "What, seriously?"
Carolina: "But, I will thank you."
Church: "Yeah, well, I'm pretty great."
"He is." Ruby agreed, Pyrrha and Yang nodded.
Carolina: "Church, the Director is still out there somewhere. And I need to find him. Not just for what he did to me. But for what he did to York, to Wash, to Maine, the twins- to all of them."
"That's why she hunts him, not simply for revenge." Pyrrha shook her head, "But to get justice for her fallen comrades, who were manipulated and tortured by his schemes."
Ruby nodded, "There are a lot of lessons against revenge.. they don't apply to the director." Her eyes hardened.
Carolina turns around to face Church.
Carolina: "And for what he did to you, Church. I guess I forgot, that, in a way, you were there alongside us too."
"She just said his name." Ruby grinned, "She didn't call him Epsilon."
"I wonder why Wash still calls him Epsilon.." Blake mumbled to herself, "Could it be more personal than calling him Church?"
Church: "You know, the more memories I sift through, the more that sounds like a pretty damn good plan."
"More memories of the horrible things he did." Ruby scowled.
Carolina: "Find anything that can help us out?"
Church: "Yeah, it's a lot of stuff to remember all at once, but I might be able to pull up some of the Director's logs if you gave me some time."
Carolina: "Well, you'll have plenty of time on our ride back."
Church: "About that- hey is there anyway we could get back to the others that doesn't involve me carrying you?"
Ruby giggled, "Is he embarrassed?"
"Sounds like it." Yang laughed.
Carolina: "Haha, wow Church."
"She laughed." Pyrrha laughed herself.
Carolina: "I didn't know an AI unit could get so, easily embarrassed. Tell you what, just tell your friends that you 'picked' me up. How does that sound?"
"It's nice to see this side of her again." Pyrrha smiled. "It only appeared rarely when we saw her in the flashbacks.
Jaune nodded "The reds and blues have brought out the best in Washington and Church has brought out the best in Carolina."
Church: "Remind me to never let you talk to Tucker again."
"That's a great idea." Weiss nodded.
Cut to Sandtrap. Carolina returns riding on her mongoose between the Reds and Blues.
Carolina: "Alright people, pack it up people. We're moving."
Grif: "Where to now?"
Carolina: "There's an old ship that crashed in a Freelancer outpost a few years back."
Washington: "Outpost 17-B?"
As Carolina walks away from the Mongoose, Caboose hurries over to it.
"He's checking for Church." Pyrrha pointed.
"Oh cool." Jaune commented.
"There is great attention to detail this season." Weiss complimented.
Simmons: "You mean we're going back to Valhalla?"
"You know, I thought they would visit Blood Gulch." Nora commented. "But Valhalla is cool too."
Sarge: "Back to our own base?"
Caboose turns away from the Mongoose at the sound of Church's voice, which is coming from Carolina's direction.
Church: "That's right assholes! You're finally going home! And you're taking us with you!"
The episode cut to black.
"So he did find a way, he's implanted in her armor now." Pyrrha's eyes widened.
"She trusts him." Ruby grinned.
"That was a really good episode." Yang let out a sigh, "And I thought C.T. was sad."
"I'll say it again, this show has come a long way." Weiss commented.
"While still holding true to its roots." Jaune added.
"Meaning it's still really funny." Nora giggled.
Ruby looked up, "What Church said about them going home made me think of something. I thought Blood Gulch would still be their home. But any boxed in canyon with two bases on opposite sides can be home for them." She giggled.
QUESTION: What do you guys think about how I write WEISS? Good/bad? In character? Annoying? Does she add to the reactions? Etc.
—V8 SPOILERS—
Don't read farther if you haven't seen episode 4 yet.
Loved the episode, Weiss and Yang were unnecessarily colossal bitches to Whitley and Ren respectively but other than that, good episode. Oscar getting tortured was amazing, Ren getting pissed was great. Salem is still a good villain which is nice. Qrow explaining why he cared about Clover was good. He doesn't care that much about Clover per say, moreso he wanted to live without bad luck. The ace ops are still kind of bad. Harriet and Marrow should be the only two that exist. Elm and Vine are useless and only waste space.
Everyone still hates Cinder but I'm hoping she gets some character development years later than she should have. It looks like they're trying to fix a lot with this season. So far so good, I love the Hound. And again, Salem torturing Oscar was great. Hazel's motivations are still dumb but he's a good character, if only his motivations weren't "Ozpin sent my huntress in training sister to do her job and she died. So I joined the leader of the Grimm to kill him."
