A/N: Hello everyone, I recently posted a video on my YouTube channel iHateFridays called 'One Punch Simulator anime intro', which is, uh, pretty much what the title says it is. Feel free to check it out if you want.

Kuu Dere had always had difficulty expressing her feelings. However, that did not mean she could not feel at all. In fact, Kuu probably felt more emotions than any other person in the world. Of course, expressing these feelings was an entirely different matter. Her nickname was 'Kuu Dere' for a reason.

Many people had misconceptions about Kuu due to her cold and apathetic nature. Not to mention she was a loner. As the school librarian, she spent most of her time in the library, away from other students. She preferred her own company (or the company of a book) to other people. However, despite what some people believed, she was not friendless.

She had two good friends by the names of Midori Gurin and Ayano Aishi. The three had been friends since elementary school. Midori Gurin was practically the complete opposite of Kuu: boisterous, bouncy, sociable, and also incredibly stupid. Despite this, Midori and Kuu somehow managed to remain friends for many years. Even though she was more often than not rather annoying, Kuu had to admit she had a small soft spot for Midori.

Ayano on the other hand was much more similar to Kuu. She was quiet, shy, and somewhat of a wallflower. She didn't stick out, but she wasn't a complete loner, either. She was a nice person to hang around, but every so often, Kuu wasn't sure why, she got… strange vibes from Ayano. Every so often, vibes that made her skin crawl, or a slight sickness brew in her stomach.

Yet despite her aloof nature, Kuu enjoyed the company of her two unusual friends. They had known each other for a long time, and would most likely continue to be friends for the remainder of their high school years.

… that was, until Ayano became a hero.

Kuu remembered it well, the day Ayano was no longer the same. Something about Ayano had changed. Kuu couldn't describe what, but something had awoken inside her friend. Kuu suddenly realized that Ayano was no longer the girl she had known since elementary school. Or had she ever been that girl in the first place?

She wanted to talk to Ayano about it, but of course, she failed to put her feelings into words. So she acted the same as she always did: cold and aloof.

Midori was the same as always, if that meant anything.

Before long, Ayano's changes were starting to become much more noticeable. She had suddenly become much more aloof, swarmed with hero duties left, right and center, or so she claimed. While she was still attending school, she hardly ever spoke to Midori or Kuu anymore. Midori was constantly complaining about her.

"Yan-chan never responds to my texts anymore!" she whined to Kuu. "Ever since she's become a hero, she's been totally ignoring us!"

Kuu didn't respond to that, of course. What could she say? She only continued to observe Ayano from afar. And Ayano herself continued to change and grow. Her popularity was skyrocketing, and her hero rank was always increasing. She went from B to A Class in record time.

Despite her success, heroes, students, and civilians were dying all around them. That didn't seem to bother Ayano either, who continued to become even more popular. Heck, she even got herself a boyfriend.

The strange feeling around Ayano continued to grow as well, though no one seemed to notice. Kuu wasn't sure what to do.

Maybe it's just me, she told herself. It's just all in my head… right?

… and then Midori died.

It happened quickly, and out of nowhere. Midori had been alive, and then she was gone, found dead outside the school.

Kuu finally understood one of her feelings: guilt. She wished she had been able to express to Midori that she had been a good friend, and that she had meant something to her. But in the end, she was no better than Ayano.

That was another feeling Kuu understood: fear.

Kuu came to realise there was something horribly wrong with Ayano. It wasn't just an unusual gut feeling anymore - it was shivers down the spine, trembling, pure fear.

Kuu realised she was terrified of Ayano. The look in Ayano's eyes was doll-like, like she was a walking corpse. The way she twitched, the way she walked…

Kuu couldn't bring herself to be around Ayano anymore. She isolated herself from the girl - and everyone else, for that matter. She did not want to be in Ayano's line of sight. Nowhere near her.

And so, that was where she stayed, far away from Ayano. Anytime she wasn't in class, Kuu was in the library, consumed by books, hiding behind bookshelves.

Thankfully, Ayano didn't seem to care about her, so she ignored Kuu for the most part. The only time Kuu allowed herself to go near Ayano again was the assembly announcing the return of the Student Council President. And this made Kuu understand something else.

Ayano never cared about me, she realised. Not even before she changed. Midori and I… we meant nothing to her.

She understood another new feeling: worthlessness.

She slumped against one of the bookshelves in the library, her body trembling. Her face expressed no emotion, but she felt trapped all the same.

"Wow, you're in here again, Kuu Dere? Or should I say, Kumi Demura?"

Kuu peeked through a gap in her arm and legs, spotting Shiromi Torayoshi walking towards her.

"I know you're the school librarian, but surely you must get bored hanging out in here all the time," Shiromi chuckled.

Kuu shrugged. "I don't mind."

"Nah, there's something else to it," Shiromi replied. "It's that Yan-chan girl, isn't it? Your old friend."

Kuu dug her face closer into her knees.

"You haven't spoken to her for ages, have ya, Kumi?" Shiromi asked. She tilted her head. "Maybe it's because one of your mutual friends, well…"

Kuu stared out of the library window.

"Y'know, you're smarter than people give you credit for, Demura," Shiromi said. "I know you see things other people don't. Maybe you're not so good with the emotional stuff, but you detect lies when you see 'em."

"Ayano…" Kuu spoke up, slowly. "One day, she changed. She has been… very wrong since then."

"You're onto something, Demura," Shiromi winked. "Why're you hiding in the library when you know so much stuff?"

Kuu didn't reply.

"You could really help me with something, y'know," Shiromi told her. "You're a good weapon against Aishi. She doesn't suspect anything odd about 'cha. I guess even she underestimated you."

Kuu's red eyes lit up for a moment. I can help…?

She forced herself to stand up. She faced Shiromi, straightening her posture.

"Now that's what I'm talking about," Shiromi grinned. "C'mon Demura, let's show 'em what we're made of."

One of the greatest lessons Megami had learnt from being popular was not to let insults get to her head. And most of the time, they did not. She was untouchable, after all - it would take much more than a few measly insults to knock her down. So of course the swarm of hatred on social media did not even touch her. She simply ignored it. Despite the Hero Association's failures and the public's anger, she knew she would be able to get back on top once again. Even if the Hero Association did fail, she would still act as a hero. The denizens of the public needed their goddess, after all.

"Goddess-sama."

Megami stood up from her desk. She was inside her private office inside the Saikou Corp building, where she did most of her work related to Saikou Corp. Of course, it was not her only office - she had a secret office in the Saikou Corp resort where she kept her private work. And work that she did not want her father to know about.

She glanced at the window, seeing a small, robotic figure. She recognised its voice immediately.

"Child Emperor." she spoke.

A small robot the shape of a kitten crept in through the window. It beeped, peering up at Megami.

"So you are alive," Megami said, gazing at the robot.

"Yan-chan attacked me in the Monster Association," Child Emperor's voice came from the robot. "She believed that she killed me, but I managed to get out alive, thanks to the help of her 'boyfriend'. I've been in hiding ever since. That's why I'm not here face-to-face."

"I see," Megami said. She folded her arms. "But you can't be in hiding forever."

"I know," Child Emperor replied, "but that's not why I'm here now. I have something to tell you."

"What is it?" Megami asked.

"Yan-chan plans to use bombs to detonate the jail where Metal Bat and Sweet Mask are," Child Emperor told her. "She is getting the bombs from a cyber criminal, where she can't be tracked. But I have been keeping an eye on her for a while. She almost spotted me once, but I got away."

"I see," Megami said, grimly.

"We still don't have concrete proof of any of her plans, but…" If Child Emperor were there, he'd be smirking. "... that doesn't mean we can't stop them. She doesn't suspect we know anything about her… so won't she be surprised when we ruin everything. This is our chance to take her down."

Megami's eyes gleamed. "Of course."

"We're going to visit my big bro?"

Megami nodded at the energetic young girl.

"Yes," she said. "I have something very serious I have to tell him."

"What is it?" Zenko asked.

"I don't want you to worry, so I will not tell you now," Megami answered, firmly.

Zenko pouted. "If it's something that's going to hurt my big bro, I wanna know!"

Megami sighed. She, Zenko, and her bodyguards climbed into a Saikou brand helicopter. The helicopter took off into the sky, flying over City Z. Megami gazed down at her city. So much destruction since she had been gone. She hated that she had been away for so long. If she had been around, the city would be free of destruction. And of course, City A would also still exist.

A short flight later, and the helicopter arrived at Smelly Lid Prison. Despite its somewhat humorous name, the prison held some of the most dangerous criminals in the world.

It had a tall gate and tall walls with barbed wires. The building was heavily monitored with cameras on different locations with large monitors for the guards to see. It was intimidating, towering over the ocean that surrounded it.

Megami and Zenko walked into the front office. There was only one, and it was surrounded by heavy walls. The main door itself was heavily barricaded. Megami scanned a pass, allowing herself and her co. access inside.

In the center of the room was a large, metal desk, surrounded by barricaded gates. A warden was sitting at the desk, typing on a computer. As soon as he noticed Zenko, he sighed. He was quite used to her, it seemed. His brow raised in surprise when he saw Megami.

"Miss Goddess!" he gasped. "What brings you here?"

"We wish to see Metal Bat," she told him.

The warden furrowed his brow. "Very well."

A few moments later, a prison guard emerged from a metal gate.

"Hi, Kageyama!" Zenko waved at him. Megami found it slightly disturbing that Zenko was familiar with the prison security.

"Follow me," the guard named Kageyama spoke, giving Zenko a quick glance over. He led Megami and co. through a long, metal hall. Despite the ominous aura, Zenko seemed quite cheerful. Megami supposed it was because they were on their way to visit her brother.

Megami kept her composure, ignoring shouting and banging from elsewhere in the prison. Due to the amount of dangerous criminals kept there, she wasn't surprised to hear all of the ruckus. The prison also made her think of Puri Puri Prisoner, the only man who could break out of Smelly Lid Prison. Although she was strongly against the fact that he was a literal convict, she had to admit he had been a surprisingly tolerable hero, even if he was constantly drooling over his harem of men.

Another hero lost in the fray. Despite his flaws, he would not be forgotten. Perhaps the jail break would be an omen to his death.

After much more walking, the group finally reached a cell with large, metal walls. The thick bars were made of iron. Seated inside was a young man with shoulder-length, messy, black hair. He was wearing a prison jumpsuit, and was gloomily staring out the window. Heavy bags were under his eyes, and his tanned skin had lost its vitality.

"There he is." Kageyama said, adjusting his police hat.

"Big bro!" Zenko called.

The young man turned, tired face lighting up when he saw the young girl.

"Zenko!" he yelled, coming over to the bars. The siblings stared at each other, brightly. "Oh my God, y'have no idea how much I've missed ya! I'm really sorry 'bout all this, I keep tryin' to get 'em to listen to me but they won't. But I'm tryin', don't worry, I'm gonna-"

"Ahem." Megami cleared her throat.

Badd trailed off, a scowl appearing on his face when he saw Megami. "The Hell are you doin' here?"

"Polite as always," Megami sighed. "I have come to inform you of something."

"What is it?" Badd asked.

Megami turned to Kageyama and the bodyguards. "I would like to speak to him privately for a short moment."

Kageyama shook his head. "Sorry, Miss Goddess, can't allow it. Against the rules."

"It will only be for a few minutes," Megami replied. "I would never try anything malicious, and I wouldn't let Metal Bat try anything either. And besides, you have security cameras watching our every move. Neither of us could get away with anything even if we wanted to."

Kageyama scowled. "Three minutes."

He moved out of the room, the bodyguards following him. Only the S Class heroes and Zenko were left behind.

Megami kneeled down, crossing her arms. "I know you're innocent, Badd."

"You do?" Badd asked, raising a brow.

"You are many things, Metal Bat," Megami replied, her voice soft. "Reckless, brash, ignorant… but not a murderer. Even if there's evidence against you... I know you're not the killer."

"Y'serious?" he asked.

"But that is not the reason I'm here," Megami continued. "The true murderer has a plan to blow up this jail, thus killing you, Sweet Mask, and the many other criminals locked away in here."

"Are you serious?!" Badd demanded.

"Unfortunately so," Megami said. She clenched her fist. "But fear not. I've got a plan. A plan that will unite the entire world against the true killer. We'll remove her from the pedestal she's put herself on."

Badd narrowed his eyes. "A plan, huh… why can't we just beat the shit outta her?"

"To take down a creature such as her, we'll need more than brute force," Megami told him. "We'll need the help of all the S Class heroes."

Badd tch-ed. "Yeah, sure, whatever. As long as she gets taken down."

"Of course," Megami put a hand on her chest.

"What should I do now?" Badd asked.

"Just sit tight for now," Megami told him. "We will figure this out."

She looked away. We'll catch her by surprise... just like she thinks she can do to us. Foolish girl... you have no chance against the heroes.

"Miss Goddess?"

Megami glanced down at Zenko. They had just left the prison, and were entering the Saikou Corp helicopter.

"Yes?" Megami asked, staring down at the young girl.

"Why didn't you speak to Sweet Mask?" she asked. "He's in jail as well, right?"

Megami breathed out, heavily. "Ah, you see… I actually believe Sweet Mask deserves to be in jail."

"What?!" Zenko asked. "He didn't really assault Yan-chan, did he?"

"I don't think so, but even if he did, that wouldn't be the reason why I believe he belongs in jail," Megami replied. "You see, Zenko… Sweet Mask is a monster."

"A monster?!" Zenko cried. "How do you know?!"

"Ever since I first saw him, I already had the feeling that he wasn't completely human," Megami explained. "I looked into his history, and discovered that he used to have an incredibly malformed face. He used to wear a mask over his face, and thus, his hero name was 'Secret Mask' instead of 'Sweet Mask'. Then one day, the mask fell off… and he suddenly had an incredibly beautiful face."

"He could've had plastic surgery or something," Zenko said.

"No, he didn't have the money to afford such a thing," Megami told her. "His desire for beauty turned him into a monster. But that wasn't enough proof for me. His behaviour was another factor. The way he obelirated monsters, especially…"

Megami gazed at Sweet Mask, standing near her. His skin was covered in inhuman veins. All around him were the corpses of monsters.

"Ah, Goddess," he said, staring at her. His eyes were blood red. "Of course you are here. You're always dependable."

"I see you have taken care of these demon-level threats," Megami spoke, noticing the veins on his body.

He looks something like a Yandere, she thought. But… no. He is not that inhuman.

"Of course," Sweet Mask nodded. "A hero must do his job well."

His aura… Megami realised. He's losing his humanity...

"Sweet Mask…" Zenko went pale. "But… are you going to kill him?"

"Not quite yet," Megami said. "He's far less of a threat compared to the Yandere. We'll worry about him later."

Zombieman was unusual in many ways. He appreciated mortality, for one. He had been brought back to life so many times by the twisted Dr. Genus, the thought of dying permanently seemed like a gift from the Heavens. Shame he was immortal.

Another thing was he knew about a girl who didn't exist. He had dubbed her the 'original goddess', as during her teenage years, she had been the world's first superhero. That is, until her father erased her from existence with the help of Dr. Genus.

Unlike the Goddess that currently existed, the original Goddess had been much more easy-going, friendly, and in some ways, more powerful. The only other people that remembered her were, of course, Dr. Genus, and Traveller, her twin sister. Yet her own father did not remember her.

Zombieman had angsted over the… removal of the original Goddess for many years. But there was no one he could cry about it to except for Dr. Genus, and he outwardly refused to speak to that man ever again. Traveller herself didn't remember much about the original Goddess, aside from the fact that they were twin sisters. She was still searching for her. It had been over three decades since her search had begun.

Zombieman almost pitied her. She was searching for a girl who didn't exist.

The original Goddess had been Zombieman's only true friend. He'd never been able to connect as closely with another person since she'd disappeared. He had tried to speak to the current Goddess, but she was too uptight, too formal, just like Traveller had been as a teenager.

Zombieman sighed, shaking his head. The original Goddess had been removed over thirty years ago. He had to move on. Then again, it was hard to move on from her disappearance. He would've been better off if she had just died normally. At least then she'd had a grave he could visit.

His thoughts went back to Dr. Genus' lab. There, thirty years ago, Dr Genus had also investigated a woman named Ryoba Aishi, who was something called a 'Yandere'. Being a Yandere, Ryoba had ties to the fate of the universe - however, she threw them all away for the sake of her boyfriend. Many years later, she had a child with this man - birthing another Yandere. And this Yandere… she was different from her mother. She was dangerous, world-dominating, life-consuming. Far too powerful.

Zombieman had to track her down and find more information about her. So that's what led him to City Z Suburbia, the nicest part of City Z. He walked through the peaceful streets, ignoring people gasping as he walked by. He made it to Ayano's house. He scanned the building, clenching his gun. The house appeared normal enough, but he couldn't help but feel… unsettled.

Then his phone began to ring. He picked up his phone, bringing to his ear.

"Hello?" he asked.

"Zombieman, I hear you are in town," Goddess' voice. "Good. I'd like you to come to Saikou Corp."

"Why?" Zombieman asked.

"I heard you're looking for information about Yanderes," Megami replied. "You aren't the only one. I'm gathering the remaining S Class heroes for a meeting about this situation."

"Remaining S Class heroes?" Zombieman asked.

"Yes," Megami said, her voice grim. "Pig God has recently gone missing."

Zombieman gritted his teeth. "I'll be over."

He hung up his phone, making his way to Saikou Corp.

Alright, he rubbed his hands together. Let's show them what we got.
