Just a short intro chapter for ya. Enjoy.

Several weeks later

Theron Shan was conflicted.

He was on his way to Copero, a chiss colony where the next piece of his new coalition's plan was said to be hidden. Theron had gained the trust of the local Chiss nobel house on the planet, but they had inside help, a Force sensitive Chiss outcast, so this was going to be an easy smash and grab, or at least that was the plan.

The trip was going to take a few days, so Theron had time to think. Too much time to think.

He hated betraying the commander. She was one of the few people he considered a true friend. He hated it, but it was the only way. If only there had been a way to tell her or Lana just what he was up to. To tell them how important what he was currently doing was to everyone, not just the Alliance.

Theron continued to think. Commander Wryn and the people working with her were smart enough to figure out his next stop. Somehow, they'd be on Copero, regardless of his destination being a secret. The clue he had left subtly behind would ensure it, but once the commander was on the planet, he needed a way to communicate his intentions without it being broadcast to his new friends. There had to be a way.

Fortunately, he had several days to work it out.

It had been three days and Theron only had one shot in the dark plan. He had racked his brain to think of a better idea, but literally nothing came to mind that wasn't doomed to fail. He could continue to plant breadcrumbs for Commander Wryn to follow, but there was no guarantee she'd trust him enough to go along with anything he left.

The plan didn't involve the commander or Copero and the chances the plan would actually work were slim, but it was the only option he could think of.

Theron started to compose a message. He got three lines in, then erased the message. No, he had to be more subtle. He wrote three words, confirmed the frequency of the destination, blocked all sender information, and hit send.

Now, all he could do was wait and hope the recipient of the message would remember and understand.

More to come soon. Thanks for reading.
