On the drive home, Kyle had been fairly quiet unless Brax had made conversation with him. Once they got home, Kyle went into the garden to play with Bruno whilst Brax went to check on Ricky and Emilia in the flat to see how they were doing.

"Hey, is Kyle okay?" Ricky asks as he walks through the door.

"Yeah, we spoke about some stuff. He's just scared about relapsing if it's a false lead. I know he's stronger than that, I just think he needed some reassurance." Brax replies as she hands Emilia over to him for a cuddle.

"It's going to be tough but he's got this. We're all here to help him whatever the outcome. Do you know anymore yet?" She asks.

"Not yet. I asked Kyle if he wanted me to call Heath to find out what's going on, he just needed some time to get his head around it. I'll wait for when Kyle's ready as I'm going to let him take the lead a bit more now as it's his daughter." Brax says, wanting Kyle to feel more control over it. "Anyway, did you want to head of to meet your client? I've got things covered here."

"You sure? I can postpone to another day." Ricky says.

"No, you go. I haven't had enough time with her for a few days. You deserve some time off as well. Brax smiles.

"Yeah, it's going to be good to get some normality back. I just hope this client doesn't want anything too big done." She says as she stands up, grabbing her bag from the counter.

"You said you weren't taking on big jobs at the moment, so she has to respect that." Brax says as they kiss.

"Hopefully she will. I'll see you later, love you both." Ricky smiles as she walks out.

Brax smiled down at Emilia as she wiggled slightly, still feeling extremely lucky to have been given the opportunity with her. She was their miracle baby, and they now hoped that she could have siblings, but knew it didn't matter if she couldn't. They would try in the future, but they were happy with their family either way.

"Hey." Kyle says from the doorway as he walks in, breaking Brax from his thoughts.

"Hey mate." Brax says, glancing at his brother as he joins him on the couch.

"Have you heard from Heath yet?" Kyle asks, briefly glancing down as Bruno sat next them.

"Not yet. Do you want me to call him?" Brax asks.

"Uh… Maybe leave it just a little bit." Kyle mutters, them both smiling as Emilia looks at Bruno, giggling to herself. "Bet you never thought this would happen." He lightly smirks.

"What's that?" Brax asks, looking at him.

"Being sat here with a kid and a dog." Kyle replies.

"Nope. I was never sure on the kid part, but the dog, I never thought that would happen. I've been saying no to Casey for years, I guess things change." Brax smiles.

"Some things more than others." Kyle sighs, staring at Bruno for a few moments before lightly nodding to himself. "I need to know what's going on."

"You want me to call Heath?" Brax asks, Kyle nodding. "Okay, I'll just put Emilia down." He says as he stands up, walking over to the cot.

"Shouldn't he have called by now anyway?" Kyle asks.

"Maybe they got held up with something." Brax says, turning the mobile on to help Emilia fall asleep. "The police were taking charge, so anything could be happening."

"Bad things?" Kyle lightly frowns.

"No, I just meant they won't let Heath do anything that would jeopardise their investigation. If they think it's Lillie, I guess they'll have to be doing DNA checks or whatever to make sure." Brax says, impressed at how quick Emilia fell asleep, so he placed the baby monitor on the side before walking into the house with Kyle.

"What if that takes ages?"

"Kyle, you'll be the first to know if it is. You know Heath wouldn't keep you waiting for hours on end." Brax says, pulling his phone from his pocket. "Let me call him and-" He pauses, hearing his brothers voice walking up the path, coming through the door moments later with company.

"Alright bros?" Heath smiles.

"Has Ricky left already?" Bianca asks, Brax nodding in reply before looking at Kyle.

"Well aren't you going to come and get your daughter?" Heath asks with a grin.

"It's Lillie?" Kyle quietly asks, staring at the baby in Heath's arms.

"Yep, confirmed by doctors at the hospital. We got her checked over whilst we were there and they said she's perfectly healthy and a good size for her age." Heath says, walking over to Kyle, seeing him hesitate before taking a step back. "What's wrong?"

"I can't do it." Kyle mutters.

"Do what?" Brax asks.

"I'll just lose her all over again and I can't do it."

"Kyle, we've been over this. You're stronger than all of that and you've got all of us to help you now." Brax says, nudging Kyle's arm.

"Okay." Kyle lightly nods as Heath hands Lillie over to him. "Is she really okay?" He asks, getting teary eyed.

"Everything's fine, she's going to be okay." Bianca smiles.

"So who had her?" Kyle frowns, having forgotten about everything now he had his daughter back.

"Remember that bent FED and his nurse wife?" Heath asks, getting a nod after a couple seconds as Kyle thought about it. "They had her. We don't know why yet but the police have taken them in for questioning to find out why."

"They said they'll call as soon as they know something, but to let you know that they won't be granted bail." Bianca says. "They had other charges against them and will stay in cells until their trials."

"So they can't come back and take her?" Kyle asks.

"No, they can't. They won't be coming near you again, we'll make sure of it." Heath says, Brax nodding in agreement.

"I got rid of her things." Kyle sighs, unable to take his eyes off her.

"We kept them in the flat for you." Brax says.

"Why don't I go and set it all up for you." Bianca smiles, walking towards the flat to get them before heading to Kyle's room, knowing he wouldn't want to be away from Lillie yet.

"I told you everything would be okay." Brax says as they all sit down on the couch.

"She's so big now. I wouldn't even know what to do at this age. I mean, she would be able to do a lot more at 9 months." Kyle says, starting to worry he wouldn't do enough and lose her all over again. "I haven't had her all that time and things would have changed, wouldn't they?"

"Don't worry, me and Bee can help you cause we've had to do it with Harley." Heath says.

"And you've got us to help. Casey's going to love having her around, so you've got a lot of help there as well." Brax says.

"They still not back yet?" Heath asks.

"Not yet. They were going to make the night off it as we weren't expecting Lillie home so soon. He'll want to know what's going on, just maybe leave it a bit as this is their first time alone for a while." Brax says, not needing their marriage to be on the line again.

"Right, got ya." Heath nods as Lillie starts to cry.

"Oh…" Kyle lightly gasps, looking like a deer in headlights. "Does she need changing or feeding?" He asks, completely out of sync with her needs now.

"Well if she doesn't smell then she might want feeding. We picked up some formula on the way home for you as she'll need different than before." Heath says, walking over to Bianca's bag to get it, making a bottle up for him. "Here, try this."

"Thanks." Kyle says, trying to get Lillie to have some, which she eventually did.

"See, she was just hungry." Heath smiles.

"Should I put her down for a nap after?" Kyle asks.

"Yeah, you could both do with the sleep." Heath lightly smirks as he ruffles Kyle's hair.

"Tomorrow could you help me work out what routine I need to get her into now?" Kyle asks his two brothers.

"Sure, we can do that." Brax nods, glad Kyle got Lillie back and they could all be a proper family again.
