Unknown Muggle Town, Muggle World...
An Ill wind had set in the air above a quiet little Muggle Town. As the citizens set about their average daily routines, they had no knowledge of the evil that set it's sights upon them. High in the slowly darkening sky had been a figure clad in black from head to toe as it lingered through unknown magics relishing the up coming onslaught that was about to take place.
The lone figure seemed to hover for quite some time before a faint black and purple hue emitted from it's frame and multiplied in the air that surrounded it. Sweeping flames of darkness licked and flickered at the air which had groan increasingly more heated as the build up went on.
A crack of thunder sent the first burst of flame crashing into a nearby Muggle house swiftly engulfing it and reducing it to mere cinders. There was amusement in the firgure's movements as another ball of black molten flame hit yet another Muggle house incenerating all within it's path.
Thick billowing clouds of black smoke blanketed the seemingly pleasant little Muggle Town. Screams filled the air as panic set in further causing amusement for the figure whom continued to burn the now panicked townsfolk alive.
As the figure watched the struggling people from afar, a guest arrived seemingly quite pleased with all that had transpired.
"It seems you have developed quite the knack for burning Muggles alive." said the newly arrived guest cloaked in soiled grey robes splattered with dust and soot.
The lone figure whom and been draped in black from head to toe nodded not at all showing a face beyond the ivory mask and black hood that covered it from view.
"Have I pleased you then?" Asked the black hooded figure as the grey robed guest floated above the town beside him via a wave of liquid black smoke.
"You have most definitely earned the right to sit at my side as the new commander of my armies." the grey robed figure assured his most exceptional pupil.
"And what of Snape?" Asked the hooded figure in black. " Where does he fit into all of this?"
A long sigh escaped the grey robed figure.
"S-Severus-s-s is of no concern of yours at the moment...he still has his use." He replied pointing a long bony finger at the rather cold figure beside him.
"And if he should out live his usefulness?" asked the black hooded figure.
" Then you shall have to prove yourself worthy in getting rid of him." Replied the figure in grey robes. "Still I doubt it will come to that, S-S-Severus-s-s is and always has been my most loyal of death eaters past and present."
The black hooded firgure didn't seem all that pleased to hear such a thing about the wizard whom he despised above all others having favor with the most powerful organization in the wizarding world.
"As you say, my Lord." he replied dutifully.
"Good." Replied the firgure in grey robes. " Now finish off these urchin muggles and do remember to report back with your adviser...stay out of sight for now until I request your appearance, we can't chance that fool Dumbledore getting wind of you now can we?"
With that a clap of thunder saw to the grey robed figure disappearing as quickly as he had arrived leaving the black hooded figure behind to further decimate the formerly sleepy little Muggle Town.
As the screams continued and the spilling of blood commenced, the black hooded figure began to relishing torturing the townsfolk picturing them all to have been aquatintences of one Severus Snape.

Open Field, Unknown Location, Muggle World...
Severus Snape had noted an eerily odd flicker in the distance as his current flight path took him in the direction of a muggles town he often passed along his route to Malfoy Manor. The thick black smoke in the distance had further captured his attention and saw to him rushing to see what had occured.
The Headmaster's previous words about a muggles town meeting a similar fate had been at the forefront of his mind. He had no doubt that the murders were don't in the dark lord's name, but he knew not whom had been given the order to carry it out. Of those the despot trusted with such a delicate assault, only Lucius, Bellatrix and himself would have recieved such a decree given the sorry state of the other more mentally deranged members of the Death Eater ranks. This strange new occurance had puzzled Snape to no end and he wondered silently if it meant that things were escalating quite quickly in terms of the up coming war.
Bodies meant investigation muggle and wizarding citizens alike would have a vested interest which would make it all more difficult to contain and given how small the wizarding world had been due to the already vast and devistating wars with the muggles, there would be no telling just how the outcome of this one would be. The Potions Master bristled at the thought of what had been on the horizon. He'd only just gotten the love of his life returned to him there was no way he'd lose her now. Knowing that she'd want to be informed about her parents as soon as possible, Snape made a mental note to see to their saftey himself if need be, if only to put her mind at ease.
The smoke filled crator where the muggle town had been was cloaked in thick black smoke and no life remained but off in the distance the lone hooded figure responsible caught sight of Snape making his way toward Malfoy Manor.
An eerie calm washed over him and before too long he'd been gone, but not before uttering a few parting words in the distance.
"I'll see you soon...Severus." he had said with a good deal of contempt in his tone.
