WWF Over the Edge was live at Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. In the arena, D-Lo Brown's music hit and he comes out with Mark Henry for their tag team match to kick off the show as they will be facing the World Tag Team Champions in the hopes of finally ending their reign of destruction.
"The following tag team contest is scheduled for one-fall and it is for the WWF World Tag Team Championship! Introducing first. Accompanied by Ivory, at a combined weight of 666 lbs, the team of D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry!"
The challengers enter the ring with Ivory staying outside and away from the entrance ramp, knowing just how dangerous the current World Tag Team Champions were.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
A bell begins tolling after the wolf howl as Jim Johnston's Dark Side starts up. Fire goes off at the entrance and the lights change to dark red and dark blue as the Bladewolf and Kane walk out, getting a loud pop from the fans. They had their WWF World Tag Team Championships on their right shoulders
"And their opponents. At a combined weight of 636 lbs, they are the World Wrestling Federation World Tag Team Champions...THE BROTHERS OF DESTRUCTION!" Howard Finkel announced.
"There they are!" JR said. "Those two men have held the World Tag Team Championships for 98 days, a reign of destructiion. They dominated ever since reuniting and won the titles earlier this year in February."
"And they defend them once again tonight. Bladewolf has two matches to go through." Jerry adds.
The Tag Team Champions get onto the ring apron and enter the ring, Kane raising his arms before throwing them down which spews fire from the turnbuckles. Bladewolf's theme dies down as they hand their titles to the referee, never once taking their eyes off their challengers tonight. the referee raises the titles and hands them to someone at ringside before calling for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Mark Henry gets out onto the ring apron while Bladewolf and Kane turn, seemingly to speak to each other but then suddenly turn...AND RUN AT BROWN AND HENRY! Kane knocks Henry off with a big boot while Bladewolf...NAILS BROWN WITH A SPEAR!
"What the?!" Jerry blinks in surprise.
Bladewolf grabs Brown and lifts him onto his shoulders as Kane deals with Mark Henry. In the ring Bladewolf...HITS THE WOLF'S HOWL! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! THEY RETAIN THE TITLES!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
"What the heck?!" Jerry blinks in surprise.
Dark Side plays as the Brothers of Destruction stand up and are handed their titles. "here are your winners and STILL World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions...THE BLADEWOLF AND KANE!" Howard Finkel announced.
The two brothers leave the ring and head to the back as everyone was surprised with how quick that match was.
Next was the hardcore match, which allowed no disqualifications or countouts. WWF Hardcore Champion Al Snow defended against Hardcore Holly. Holly and Snow began their match in the ring but moved their brawl into the arena stands. From there, they proceeded to the backstage area, and into the concession stands before returning to the ring. The fight was decided when Snow lifted Holly onto his shoulders and threw him through a wooden table. Successfully covering and pinning Holly, Snow retained the WWF Hardcore Championship.
The next scheduled match was a singles match for the WWF Intercontinental Title between The Godfather (champion) and the Blue Blazer. As Hart descended into the ring on a safety harness, the equipment gave way, and he fell. Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) rushed him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival. The show was halted for 15 minutes before it continued with the next match, a mixed tag team match pitting Val Venis and Nicole Bass against Jeff Jarrett and Debra. At one point, Jarrett attempted to hit Bass with a guitar, but Venis took the guitar away, dropped Jarrett on the mat and pinned him.
In the fourth match of the evening, Billy Gunn defeated his former tag team partner Road Dogg, after hitting him with the time keeper's hammer.
The fifth match was the eight-man elimination tag-team match between The Union and the Corporate Ministry. Test was eliminated by pinfall after Bradshaw performed a "Clothesline from Hell" on him. Bradshaw was then eliminated by submission as a result of Ken Shamrock's ankle lock. Afterwards, Shamrock was eliminated via disqualification as a result of attacking the referee. Then, Faarooq was eliminated by pinfall after the Big Show chokeslammed him. Only one member of each team remained after Viscera and the Big Show failed to return to the ring within ten seconds and were counted out as a result. The Union won the match after Mankind forced Boss Man to submit with the Mandible claw. It was at this point that the viewers at home were told by Jim Ross that Owen Hart had died.
The sixth match of the night pitted Triple H against The Rock. Triple H targeted The Rock's injured arm. Towards the end of the match, Triple H asked Chyna, his valet, to retrieve a folding chair. The referee, however, took it away from him, which led to an argument between Triple H and the referee; Triple H pushed down the referee, for which he was disqualified Triple H, giving The Rock the victory. After the match, Mankind ran in to save The Rock from Triple H and Chyna.
Now it was time for the WWF Championship match.
Vince McMahon's theme plays in the arena but Shane McMahon comes out instead to boos as he was dressed in a referee's attire. Howard Finkel begins announcements. "Ladies and Gentlemen, at this time, may I introduce to you the Guest referees for this match! One of the owners of the World Wrestling Federation...SHANE MCMAHON!"
Shane enters the ring and his theme dies down as he waits when suddenly Pat Patterson comes down in a referee's shirt to replace Vince McMahon, who had been attacked by the Corporate Ministry earlier on Sunday Night Heat.
The Undertaker's slow Ministry theme hit and the Deadman came out with Paul Bearer at his side, making their way towards the ring. "The following contest is scheduled for one-fall and it is for the World Wrestling Federation Championship!" Howard Finkel announced. "Making his way to the ring, accompanied by Paul Bearer, from Death Valley, weighing 299 lbs, representing the Corporate Ministry...THE UNDERTAKER!"
"This is going to be one heck of a fight once more between two brothers." JR said. "These two fought in the UK at No Mercy inside Hell in a Cell where the Bladewolf retained his WWF Championship but tonight he defends it once more against the Undertaker."
Undertaker enters the ring and the lights return to normal as Paul Bearer begins undoing the Undertaker's cape while the Deadman stares a dark hole at Pat Patterson. As the Undertaker's theme dies down, Shane gets into a shoving match with Patterson when he then turns around only to be grabbed by the throat by the Undertaker, lifted up and drilled with a Chokeslam. Patterson rolls out the ring.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
A bell begins tolling after the wolf howl as Jim Johnston's Dark Side starts up. Fire goes off at the entrance and the lights change to dark red and dark blue as the Bladewolf walks out to a loud pop from the fans. He had the WWF Championship around his waist and begins walking towards the ring.
"And his opponent, from Death Valley, weighing 310 lbs, he is the World Wrestling Federation Champion and one half of the WWF World Tag Team Champions...THE BLADEWOLF!" Howard Finkel announces as Bladewolf makes his way towards the ring.
Bladewolf stops at the ring apron and takes off his trench coat before he slides into the ring, tosses his title outside near the announce table and goes at it with the Undertaker as Shane calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Undertaker and Bladewolf go back and fourth in a slugfest with each other until Bladewolf begins winning as he unleashes a fury of right hooks onto the Deadman and gets him against the ropes. Bladewolf goes for an Irish whip but the Undertaker reverses it and sends Bladewolf into the ropes, goes for an elbow which connects and sends the WWF Champion down.
"Bladewolf nailed with an elbow from the Undertaker." JR said as Bladewolf rolls out the ring and leans against the barricade, briefly adjusting his mask. "WWF Title on the line."
Bladewolf slides into the ring only to be clotheslined over the top rope by his older brother. Bladewolf shakes his head as he gets to his feet and climbs onto the ring apron, Undertaker going to grab him but Bladewolf brings the Deadman's head into the ropes which sends the Undertaker stumbling back, allowing Bladewolf to roll into the ring.
"What hope does Bladewolf have at retaining the title with Shane McMahon as referee?" JR asks. "They wanted it to be Austin who they have facing the Undertaker, but Bladewolf is the Champion now." Bladewolf goes to the top rope. "Now Bladewolf going to the top!"
Bladewolf jumps off with a diving clothesline and takes the Undertaker down. Bladewolf goes for the cover, watching Shane closely as he gets to two but the Undertaker kicks out. Bladewolf begins hammering away at his older brother's forehead, backing off when Shane gives him a warning and rolls his eyes about it befor ehe rebounds off the ropes and goes for a leg drop which connects.
Bladewolf picks the Undertaker up and gets him into the corner where he begins stomping away on the Deadman repeatedly, stopping when Shane reached four, then repeated his action, stopping again at four to flip off Shane who flipped out out it before resuming his count, to which Bladewolf stopped and backed off as Undertaker wa snow sitting in the corner from the stomps.
Bladewolf flipped his hair back and briefly adjusted his elbow pads then runs and drives his knee into the Undertaker.
"Oof! What a knee!" Jerry calls.
"Indeed, King." JR nods.
Bladewolf hammers away with rights and lefts to the Undertaker before backing off and paces around before turning into an uppercut from the Undertaker who had recovered and gotten to his feet.
"Uppercut by the Deadman now." JR said.
Undertaker grabs his brother and drives his masked face into the turnbuckle where the Undertaker stomps away on Bladewolf then delivers a reverse elbow into the side of his younger brother's head followed by a uppercut that has Bladewolf lean against the top rope. Undertaker goes for an Irish whip but Bladewolf reverses it and sends Undertaker into the corner and goes for a big boot but the Undertaker catches his boot and trips him up, driving his elbow into Bladewolf's leg.
Undertaker does this a few more times to take out the power of his brother then locks in a submission hold on the leg but Bladewolf is not down for long as he reached up and pulls Undertaker down, bringing his leg down across the Undertaker's throat a few times until the Undertaker let go of his leg. Bladewolf was quick on the attack though as he unloads with lefts and rights on the Undertaker into the face of the Undertaker. He then rebounds off the ropes and hits a leg drop on the Phenom.
Bladewolf grabs the Undertaker's left leg and places it against the bottom rope, places one boot on it before raising himself up and brings his other boot into the ankle of the Deadman, causing him to grunt in pain. Bladewolf stomps away on the Undertaker's left leg before he backs off and fixes his right elbow pad. Bladewolf walks over, picks up both of the Undertaker's legs before he brings a boot down on Undertaker's chest.
Shane tries warning him off from doing that but Bladewolf ignores him as the WWF Champion gets Undertaker into the corner where he places the Undertaker's left leg over the middle rope then drives his boot into it a few times, stomping away on it before stopping when Shane's count reached four, just in time as the Undertaker falls down and his leg gets tangled on the middle and bottom ropes.
Shane tries releasing the Undertaker's leg while Bladewolf walks over and continues his assault. When Shane gets Undertaker's leg off the ropes, Bladewolf leans his knee into the Deadman's throat and begins choking him before getting up at the 4 count.
Bladewolf leaves the ring and grabs Undertaker, sticking him halfway out on the ring apron before he backs up, runs and boots the Undertaker in the side of the head hard. Undertaker rolls out and leans against the ring apron, Bladewolf hitting a right hand to the face of the Undertaker, then hits another one before being hit witha elbow to the face by the Undertaker, causing Bladewolf to back away.
Undertaker walks over and hits a right into the ribs of the Bladewolf, then nails a uppercut to the chin of Bladewolf before he grabs him and brings his masked face into the ring apron, then goes for an irish whip but Bladewolf reverses it and sends the Undertaker into the steel steps.
"Bladewolf reverses and sends the Undertaker into the steel steps." JR said. Bladewolf grabs the left leg.
"Wait a minute, what's he trying to do?" Jerry asks.
Bladewolf brings the Undertaker's left leg onto the steel steps but Shane McMahon was trying to pull the Undertaker away, causing Bladewolf to walk over and stomp on the Undertaker's chest, knowing if he touches Shane then he gets disqualified and the title is awarded to the Undertaker. Bladewolf grabs the leg and slams it into the steel steps hard.
Bladewolf picks the Undertaker up and tosses him right back into the ring, rolls in after him. Bladewolf focuses on the left leg of the Undertaker that he has been targeting, delivering a kick to it from behind which sends the Deadman onto his back with a yell of pain. Bladewolf grabs the leg before he hits a leg drop on it, then picks it up and drives his elbow into the Undertaker's thigh. Bladewolf does this again and again befor ehe yanks on the leg and gets a hold onto it that makes the Undertaker yell in pain before Bladewolf releases his brother.
Bladewolf bends down and starts hammering away on the Undertaker before getting to his feet, delivers another stomp to the Undertaker's left leg before dragging him to the ropes, slides out and grabs the left leg again when Paul Bearer gets too close only for Bladewolf to knock him down with a hard right hand and goes to work on the Undertaker only to be pushed hard into the barricade ribs first.
Undertaker rolls out the ring, limping a little due to the punishment his left leg has gone through. He grabs the Bladewolf, picks him up before running and drives the Bladewolf's back into the steel ring post. Undertaker grabs Bladewolf's left leg, lifts it up and brings it down into the concrete floor then picks Bladewolf up and tosses him over the barricade. Undertaker goes for a right but Bladewolf blocks it and fights back only to be knocked down with a hard right hand from the Undertaker.
"i do not have a good feeling about this match-up." JR said.
Bladewolf gets knocked down with another right hand from the Undertaker. Bladewolf stumbles to his feet only to be knocked back over the barricade by an uppercut from the Undertaker. Now at ringside again, Undertaker climbs over the barricade and grabs Bladewolf, tossing him into the announce table, then into the steel steps. Undertaker walks over, grabs Bladewolf by the head and bounces his masked face right off the steel steps, sending the WWF Champion down to his knees.
undertaker removes the steel steps and sets up the bottom half before he grabs Bladewolf's left leg and places it against the ring post...THEN BRINGS THE STEEL STEPS INTO THE BLADEWOLF'S LEFT LEG!
"Good God." JR said as Bladewolf gets to his feet and limps a few feet away before falling down, groaning in pain.
"Hey! Hey! That's not fair!" Shane tells the Undertaker instead of disqualifying him for illegal use of a weapon.
"I'm sure he won't do it again." jerry said.
"Sure, King." JR rolls his eyes.
Undertaker picks up Bladewolf and rolls him back into the ring and follows after him with Shane. Bladewolf stumbles into a corner, his left leg hurting. Undertaker walks over and stomps away on the left leg as Bladewolf falls down, leaning against the bottom turnbuckle. Undertaker picks up his brother and delivers a hard right hand but Bladewolf begins fighting back with rights of his own only to be knocked down by Undertaker with a right shot.
Undertaker grabs his brother only to be tackled down and assaulted with a fury of lefts and rights that have Undertaker needing to roll out to escape from. Bladewolf follows and grabs his brother, sending him over the announce table.
"Watch out!" JR shouts. "Undertaker right here on our announce table."
Bladewolf walks over and grabs the Undertaker, driving bis head into the announce table then tosses the Undertaker back into the ring and slides in after him. Bladewolf Irish whips Undertaker off the ropes and goes for a right but Undertaker ducks it, rebounds off the ropes and runs...INTO A SPINEBUSTER FROM THE BLADEWOLF!
Bladewolf rolls his shoulders before he grabs the Undertaker and drives his knee into the side of the Deadman's face, then stomps away on him once more before picking him up and send shim over the top rope and to the outside of the ring. Bladewolf rolls out the ring and grabs undertaker, bringing him up the to the stage where he brings Undertaker's head down onto part of the entrance stage, sending the Deadman to a knee.
Bladewolf stomps away on the Undertaker a few times before he grabs Undertaker and sends him into several crates and boxes. Bladewolf picks up Undertaker...THEN SENDS HIM HEADFIRST INTO GLASS THAT WAS PART OF THE ENTRANCE STAGE!
"Right through that glass!" JR said.
"Ahh!" Jerry yelled.
Bladewolf scoops Undertaker onto his right shoulder and walks back towards the ring with the Undertaker on his right shoulder. He reaches the ringside area when Undertaker fights back before he slides off and pushes Bladewolf...STRAIGHT INTO THE STEEL RING POST!
Bladewolf falls down onto his knees only to be grabbed by the Undertaker and tossed back into the ring, slides in after him and walks towards him. Shane looks around, which Bladewolf takes advantage of...AS HE HITS A LOW BLOW! Bladewolf gets to his feet and scoops up the Undertaker onto his right shoulder and stands in the middle of the ring as he holds the Undertaker upside down in front of him...AND HITS THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!
"Tombstone!" JR called.
"Bladewolf has this!" Jerry adds.
Bladewolf crosses the arms over the Undertaker's chest for the pin! ONE! TWO!...SHANE DOES NOT COUNT THREE! Bladewolf snaps a glare to Shane who was looking like his arm was hurt. Bladewolf gets to his feet and backs Shane into the corner, unaware Paul Bearer slides in a steel chair to the Undertaker. Bladewolf turns around after glaring darkly at Shane and sees the chair but he quickly boots Undertaker in the stomach, then goes for an Irish whip and sends Undertaker...RIGHT INTO SHANE MCMAHON!
Bladewolf picks up the steel chair and waits. Undertaker turns around...RIGHT INTO A STEEL CHAIR TO THE SKULL! Bladewolf goes for the cover but there is no referee! gerald Brisco runs down the ramp, slides in! ONE! TWO! THRE-! UNDERTAKER KICKS OUT!
Bladewolf slaps the mat in anger and gets to his feet, picking up the Undertaker who uppercuts Bladewolf then takes him down witha big boot...THEN KNOCKS OUT BRISCO!
Undertaker Irish whips Bladewolf off the ropes but Bladewolf reverses it. Undertaker rebounds off the ropes, ducks a right, rebounds off the ropes again and hits a leaping clothesline. Everyone in the ring was down!
Suddenly Vince McMahon came limping down towards the ring. Despite that, he reaches the ring and gets inside as Undertaker and Bladewolf went at it once more, trading back and fourth right hands with each other. Bladewolf lifts Undertaker up into a Fireman's Carry but Undertaker slides off and send shim into the ropes, Bladewolf ducks a right and both men rebound off the ropes and crash into each other!
"Both brothers are down!" JR calls.
Vince begins the count and reaches 7...WHEN BOTH MEN SIT UP! Bladewolf and Undertaker glare at one another before getting to their feet and slug it out once more in a fist for fist fight. Bladewolf ducks a right, grabs Undertaker by the throat before lifting him up...AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM! Bladewolf gets an arm over the Undertaker and Vince goes for the pin! ONE! TWO! THRE-! SHANE PULLS HIS FATHER AWAY!
Vince gets to his feet and begins arguing with his son while Bladewolf gets to his feet and looks ready to kill Shane...WHEN SHANE SHOVES VINCE INTO BLADEWOLF! Undertaker rolls Bladewolf up! Shane slides down...AND HITS A FAST 3 COUNT! WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Undertaker's theme played as Shane rolled out the ring, celebrating, grabbing the title and showing it off, taunting Bladewolf who growls and stomps away on undertaker. He was furious at being screwed like this. The rest of the Corporate Ministry come down and attack Bladewolf, the numbers are overwhelming!
Glass shatters and Stone Cold's theme plays to a loud pop. The Rattlesnake runs down the ramp and slides into the ring with a chair in hand, attacking every member of the Corporate Ministry with it. The Corporate Ministry retreat to where Undertaker and Shane are on the stage as Austin and Bladewolf stand together in the ring. Both men were angry as they glared at the Corporate Ministry as the PPV went off the air...
I hope you all enjoyed that and sadly Bladewolf's second WWF Title reign ends with a screwjob. Shane McMahon screwed him out of the title but that doesn't mean Bladewolf is finished, oh no, his target has changed to one Shane McMahon now. Bladewolf is going to put Shane through hell as payback for what he did and since Shane is the European Champion...you can be damn well guaranteed Bladewolf is coming for that title.
