A canon-compliant drabble on The Amazing Spider-Man #113.
It was early, and Gwen hadn't been able to relax. She went to Peter and Harry's apartment, hoping to talk to Peter and find out if he hated her for what she did to Aunt May. Peter wasn't home, but Harry was. They spent the next couple hours talking before they heard moaning coming from Peter's room. Worrying Gwen, she came into his room to find him muttering in his sleep.
"Promise you- promise you- I'll find you- no matter what- I'll find- you..."
Gwen knelt beside Peter, stroking his hair. "Peter, wake up- please, Peter..." the blonde said a little more urgently.
Peter looked dreadful as he finally opened his eyes.
"You've been having a nightmare- and it's over, now. When we heard you moaning, Harry and I realized you were back- Are you alright?" Gwen inquired softly.
"Gwendy... You...?" Peter questioned slowly.
"I've been waiting hours for you, Peter... I was so worried, and..." Gwen trailed off when the door to Peter's bedroom opened, and Harry entered with Dr. Bromwell.
"Oh! Harry... You did get a Doctor...!"
"I looked in Pete's phone directory and-" Harry trailed off.
"Doctor Bromwell!" Peter called out.
Harry and Gwen stepped out of the room as Doctor Bromwell looked over Peter. It was a matter of minutes before the doctor called Gwen from the other room.
"Miss Stacy, would you step in here a moment?" Doctor Bromwell asked, and Gwen entered the room, staying by the doorway. Peter was sitting on the bed shirtless, and Doctor Bromwell stood before him, bag in hand.
"Yes, Doctor?" Gwen inquired softly.
"I'd like you to watch this boy... See that he eats nothing spicy, no peppers, tomatoes... That sort of thing. Until I see further tests, I won't be sure... But I think our Mister Parker has himself a dandy little duodenal ulcer." Doctor Bromwell explained, turning to face Gwen.
Peter shot upright in his bed. "What?" he asked, his eyes wide as saucers.
Gwen entered the room, and Harry entered the doorway with Doctor Bromwell. "An ulcer? Well... I guess it would explain the way he's been acting lately. I can hardly blame him... Worrying about his Aunt and all that..."
Gwen stood at Peter's side, gently cradling Peter's head as he stared ahead dazed at the results. "Oh, Peter... You poor thing! I'll take care of you, Peter... I promise, I will!"
"... What..?"
Gwen and Harry would follow Doctor Bromwell to the front door, inquiring further about Peter. Or maybe Gwen's still beside Peter, idk tbh.
"Have this prescription filled as soon as possible, Mr. Osborn. Three times a day, before meals-" Doctor Bromwell could be heard from across the apartment, slowly fading out.
"... What..?" Peter repeated, stunned.
A/N: I don't want to sound overdramatic but if Emma Stone doesn't reprise her role in Untitled Spider-Man 3 I'm going to kill myself and drag the MCU down to hell with me.
