Chapter 70
.
Note: This version of Superman/Clark Kent is from Smallville, as is Lois Lane. This version of Hercules is from "Legendary Journeys." As for Hercules description of his death, see my story "Hercules and Ares."
.
Clark Kent and Hercules were having an arm wrestling contest. People had long debated who would win such a contest, and Clark no longer had to hide his abliities. It seemed to end in a draw, both man put up a good effort, both were confident enough in their own manhood that they didn't feel the need to prove themselves. Then Clark's wife, Lois, showed up, as did Hercules' wife Dienera. In his other life Hercules had been married twice, and he endured the tragedy of losing both Dienera and Serena. Both women made it with him to this new world, making things somewhat awkward. They were still working things out. Lois and Dienera showed up with Liv Moore, Bianca Montgomery, and Teri Bauer.
.
Lois; We hear you two are going on another rescue mission.
Clark: Specifically called recon, but we'll probably bring back some refugees.
Lois: These three all have children who are likely in Hell, they're coming with you.
Clark: It's dangerous, we can't guarantee what will happen if you die in Hell.
Bianca: They're our children, we'll take our chances.
Hercules: Are any of you even equipped to fight?
Teri; We're still training. But I understand you've never even fired a gun.
Hercules; True, but I have the strength of a demigod and I'm experienced in war.
Liv: So am I, and I'm somewhat experienced in firearms.
Clark: Pardon my ignorance, I thought zombies couldn't have children.
Liv: If you want technical, they're adopted. Terminally ill children that I turned into zombies, along with my husband Major.
Lois: Clark, our children were raptured. If they were in Hell, would you stop me from rescuing them?
Clark: Even if I tried, you'd find a way.
Hercules: And I have no doubt that Dienera would do the same, no reason to think you three are any different. Okay, you're in.
Liv: One more thing, Hercules, how did you die?
Hercules: I made a deal to stop a demon, took on certain demonic aspects. It took over, finally I asked my brother Ares to kill me, rather than let my soul be corrupted. It's ironic, all the times he tried to kill me, and when I asked he hesitated. One of the few times he and I were real brothers.
Liv: So that part where you lived thousands of years and actually took on the name Kevin Sorbo?
Hercules: I've heard of that world, a parrallel universe, not the first I encountered.
Liv: I guess that makes sense, whatever force tries to create stories to inspire people, must have manipulated events slightly different in that universe. Thanks for clearing that up.
