Sam was in their bedroom, with Janet Michelle and Cassie, getting ready for her wedding. It wasn't how she had imagined. She was happy though everyone who she wanted to be there was there. When they explained to Myalah the wedding and the ceremony, she was confused because Sam and Jack already did everything they explained. Sam's dad had made it the day prior, and he was still slightly shocked. He walked into a wedding and a pregnancy. He could see the looks of bliss in both of their eyes, and he couldn't be happier for the two of them. The last time he had come, he found a new light in Jack and steadiness in Sam he hadn't seen before.
Sam had talked to Mark, who had got last-minute time off and got plane tickets for his family. They still hadn't met the girls, and Sam blamed herself for that. She had told Mark that they had adopted, and Sam had to lie through her teeth, explaining how they just suddenly stumbled upon two girls. She stated a fellow officer had died in a freak accident, and the girls had no other family, so she and Jack took them in.
Sam and Janet had found the perfect dress after work on Thursday. An Ivory gown with lace sleeves that hung loose but didn't bell. The dress had no train but did touch the ground all the way around. There was no time for significant adjustments, but it wasn't needed. The scoop neckline scalloped at the edge, and A-line cut to fit her shape wonderfully. Luckily it was a crisp fall day. The air was dry, and the weather was a little warmer than usual at 68 degrees.
The tree around back had decorated for them with beautiful orange and yellow leaves littering the yard.
Janet Cassie and Michelle were all wearing burgundy, and the girls were wearing sage green Lupali had picked them out. There was an Archway under the big oak tree in the back yard. The swing set moved to the side of the house. Chairs lined the yard. Sam wasn't sure where Jack had found them on such short notice, but there were people there setting them up, and Sam didn't care as long as everyone who was there had a seat.
They didn't invite a whole lot of people, close friends, and family some staff from the SGC. All in all, they had only invited about 25-30 people.
Sam insisted ongoing without a veil and instead wore a flower hairband that Cassie had weaved for her. The Officiant was an old friend of Jack's, someone Sam had never met but quickly enjoyed his company last night when they ran a quick rehearsal.
Jacob Daniel and Teal'c were with Jack in the basement in Cassie's room, getting ready, Jack had insisted on a tux instead of dress blues, and Sam agreed because it was something special. He had opted for a modern tux with a green tie that matched the girl's dresses.
Jack hadn't felt a bit nervous but was anxious to get it done. He had never wanted something more. Daniel and Jacob had to tell him multiple times that the guests hadn't even arrived, and there was no need to stand out in the cool breeze and catch a cold, even though they all knew that's not how you get sick. Jack started meandering around his oldest daughter's room. She hadn't decorated it like the one upstairs that Myalah currently occupied. They had painted it teal, her favorite color. The bedroom suite was new, as was the one in Elliot's room. He looked around and realized how much he already had. Three daughters and he was about to get a wife, a brother, and a father. Soon enough, another baby on the way. Jacob had been dad in his mind for a long time now, and Jacob never fought it.
Jack was getting bored, and the group of guys had run out of talking points. It wasn't like this was Jack's first rodeo, and he knew what to expect, but he was anxious. He grabbed a book on Cassie's nightstand, not bothering too much into looking at what it was. He thought the words of a teenager's book would calm him. It may be boring, but it was something to do. He flipped to a random section in the book, knowing full well he would never finish it. He had been about 2/3 of the way in when he starts to read a sex scene.
"Son of a bitch." Jack growled.
"What?" Daniel asked.
"My daughter is reading trashy romance novels," Jack stated, dropping the book as if it was on fire.
"Janet lets her read these things?" Jack asked.
"Apparently you do too. It's in your house." Daniel pointed out.
"Just be glad she's reading." Jacob pointed out.
Jack sighs, unsure he needed to know that his daughter was one for romance novels. Finally, after what seemed like days, Jacob had told the men it was time. Jacob went upstairs to get his daughter. The people who set up the back yard had set it up an angle and put up fabric covering obscuring the view of the backdoor. Michelle came out first, followed by Cassie and then Janet. Then the girls came out. Sam had told them to sit in the first row. The girls listened, and then Sam and Jacob came out from behind the curtain. Jack and Sam stare at each other the whole way. They act as though they are the only two in the universe until he takes her hand.
"You look beautiful," Jack claimed.
Sam smiled and gave her bouquet to Janet to hold as the ceremony begins.
The ceremony itself was short and traditional, they didn't write their own vowels, but they already knew how they felt. Lupali was quickly bored and ran to Jack in the middle of the ceremony, and Myalah, walked up to Sam, putting her arm around Sam. Sam was convinced it couldn't get any more perfect than today. Despite knowing the baby was on the way, she was convinced today was the day she would say was the best moment of her life.
After the kiss, Sam hoisted Lupali on her him, and Jack picked up Myalah, walking with the girls back into the house. The girls quickly saying they want to play. Sam smiled and told Myalah to change into play close and helped Lupali with her dress and getting changed.
The wedding party came back in, all the guys divesting their jackets. The ladies, changing shoes realizing the heels sunk into the dirt a little too much. They hadn't gotten a photographer on such short notice, but Elliott had said he would do it. He admitted he had been interested in photography but never really learned. Janet had a new digital camera she hadn't taken out often enough but showed him the basics and had taken multiple pictures throughout the ceremony, and was coming in to take group pictures in the living room, and paraded them out to the archway. Sam and Jack were raising eyebrows that the almost 19-year-old was bossing around a Colonel and Major, and they had no issues with it.
After the last picture was taken, the people who had set up the chairs had moved them to some tables set up on the opposite side of the yard. The food was on the deck, buffet style. Sam and Jack had cut the cake. There was no DJ, but they had put on a mix of music that the bridal party had suggested for the day.
As soon as the plates were taken away, Mark walked up to Sam. "This is perfect Sam, you and your two little girls and now a husband," Mark claimed.
"Soon, it will be three," Sam claimed. Sam looked at him, and she put his hand on her belly.
"No!" Mark claimed.
Sam nodded.
"You two need to move to California. The kids need to see each other," Mark claimed.
"Well, hopefully, we see each other a lot more," Sam claimed.
Mark looked at her.
"Jack and I discussed it, as of November 1st, I am Dr. Samantha Carter, consultant, part-time," Sam claimed.
"No way," Mark claimed.
"Jack's worked it out. He'll be home almost every evening, took a desk job, becoming general soon." Sam claimed.
"Good for you. I'll only worry ½ as much." Mark exclaimed.
Sam smiled.
"I know how mad you were with dad, and I know how upset I was he was never around, and I'm not doing it to the girls or the new one on the way."
"How far along are you?" Mark asked.
"5 weeks," Sam claimed.
"You're early," Mark claimed.
Sam nodded her head. "We know, we haven't told the girls, but just about everyone else knows. We told dad last night I think he still might be seeing stars." Sam giggled.
Mark laughed.
Other people were lining up to talk to one or both of them.
"It was so beautiful," Cassie claimed.
"I'm so happy for you, dad!" Cassie claimed.
"Soon enough, it will be your turn," Sam claimed.
"Don't say that!" Jack hissed.
Cassie laughed.
"So mom never told me where are you going on your honeymoon?" Cassie asked.
The two looked at each other, not even thinking about it.
"I think that ship sailed, honey. You don't have a honeymoon when there is a three and 7-year-old and another one the way." Sam claimed.
"Non-sense. Elliott and I can watch the girls. You guys go stay somewhere, at least for tonight."Cassie claimed.
"No, we couldn't do that," Jack claimed.
"Oh come on, just like Sam said, you'll have a baby to think about soon enough, you should have tonight at least," Cassie stated.
Sam blushed.
"Come on, before you know it, there will be three screaming kids, and you'll never have time to even think about baby number four, let alone try," Cassie claimed.
"Cass!" Janet yelled, overhearing what her daughter said.
"Well, it's the truth," Cassie claimed.
Janet eyeballed her child.
"She gets this from you," Janet said, pointing to Jack, and the group laughs.
"Fine, We'll go stay in some fancy place in Denver for the night and be back at a reasonable time for Elliott to get back to school," Jack claimed.
People come and congratulate them, some leaving right away, others meandering around dancing to the music. Maybe I'm Amazed, starts, and the two dance holding each other talking. Jack pressed his hands upon her stomach, smiling about the day that is occurring. He can't believe that Samantha Carter is finally his, growing their baby inside of her.
As soon as the song is over, they both dance a few more songs. Lupali and Myalah both dancing and giggling. Lupali raises her arms for Sam to pick her up, and she dances with her on her hip.
"Should you really be picking her up?" Jacob asks.
"I'll be fine, Dad," Sam claimed and held the girl in her arms and sways to the music.
Lupali goes and runs around playing with her newly found cousins, the foursome is playing some game that none of the adults can figure out, but they're just happy they get along.
Sam asks Daniel to dance.
"I want to thank you so much," Sam claimed.
"What did I do?" Daniel asked.
"You're always there for Jack and I both, you've been through so much, and I feel bad like I'm leaving you behind," Sam claimed.
"Don't! You know I went through the gate to find Sha're. We both know how that ended. After she died, and I let her go, I just continued because we could. I'm still going to go through the gate, and you will too. You know I'm needed more in SGC then, out. Technically we're still SG-11 were just not an active rotation." Daniel claimed.
Sam nodded.
"So how does it feel to be uncle Daniel to 3 kids," Sam asked.
"To be honest, you and Jack make me want to settle down again," Daniel admitted.
"You'll find her," Sam stated.
"One day." Daniel gave a smiled and glanced over at Janet.
Sam and Daniel finish the dance, and Sam decides to get some food.
Sam looked for Teal'c, who was in the corner observing the evening.
"What do you think?" Sam asked.
"This wasn't quite like the movies show," Teal'c claimed.
"No, the movies are never accurate," Sam claimed.
"You look very beautiful in your dress," Teal'c claimed.
"Thank you, Teal'c, I'm just glad it fits," Sam claimed.
"You will gain much weight in the next few months," Teal'c claimed.
"You don't have to remind me," Sam claimed.
Teal'c nodded.
"So what kinds of the ceremony is there to indicate to guess it's time to leave?" Teal'c asked.
"Usually, the last song will be announced, and that's the cue for everyone to leave," Sam claimed.
Teal'c nodded.
"Do you want to dance?" Sam asked.
"I don't understand Earth's dancing on Chulack, it's much more precise, and different rituals call for different dances." Teal'c described.
"Alright, well, just come with me," Sam claimed.
Other than Jack and Daniel, no one else was watching Sam attempt to show Teal'c how to slow dance.
"How can he be so stiff?" Jack asks Daniel.
"No idea," Daniel claimed.
Sam says something to Teal'c, and suddenly it looks like he's some professional dancer holding Sam perfectly, and she looks like she's floating.
"How the hell did that happen!" Jack asked.
"Sam has her ways," Daniel claimed.
"That she does," Jack smirked.
After a couple of hours, the last dance is announced by Janet, and Sam will miss the company, but she's tired and wants nothing more to go to bed, even though now they are on their way to Denver because Elliott and Cassie agreed to babysit.
Jack holds Sam close.
"Can we just go stay at the Holiday Inn?" Sam asked.
Jack laughed.
"No, Ritz Carlton tonight?" Jack asked.
"No, I just want some sleep, without the kids waking me up at 5 am," Sam claimed.
"Sounds perfect," Jack stated and kissed her lips.
The last person to wander out was Jacob, who was going to Sam's. Despite the lack of furniture, there was a pull-out couch, and Sam had put the house up on the market.
"I'm so happy for you, Sammy. I'll see you Monday before I go." Jacob said, taking Sam's car back to her place.
Sam looked around.
"I'll make sure everything gets taken care of. You guys go and have a goodnight." Janet declared.
"You're a good friend Janet," Jack stated.
Sam hugged her best friend.
She went in search of the girls. It was past Lupali's bedtime and was close to Myalah's.
They tuck the girls in and kiss them goodnight promising to be back tomorrow afternoon.
Sam and Jack change in their bedroom Jack helping Sam with her dress, peeking the lingerie underneath.
"So, that's what you've been hiding from me?" Jack asks.
Sam smiles. "All day."
"You're tired. Let's get you out of here and to bed." Jack stated."
Sam nodded, and the two go to the hotel.
When they get up to the room, Sam looks around. Jack did pay for the whirlpool suite and doesn't hesitate to turn on the water, slowly taking his clothes off than Sam's and leading her to the warm water.
"This is nice," Sam claims.
"We need one of these," Jack claims.
"We'll get right on that." Sam laughed.
The two sit in the water until Jack notices Sam is nodding off and gets her out, pulling pajamas from the bag letting her dress herself. The two turn off the lamps, and fall asleep.
Sam wakes at 7 am and feels overjoyed that she is officially married to Jack O'Neill.
She presses her lips to his, and he smiles.
"That's a great way to start the day," Jack claims.
"Well, lucky for you, it's only going to get better," Sam claims.
Jack smiles.
Sam pulls off her clothes, and then Jacks, and the two are slow and sleepy in their movements, but it feels good. There is no pressure, they're not waiting for one of the girls to knock on their door, they're not so tired they feel like they are doing it to appease each other this was love, in its ultimate form and they were taking their time. The two lay in bed until check out at ll am and then go to for ice-cream.
When they get back to reality, they see Elliott and Cassie scrubbing the kitchen and what Sam assumes is finger paint.
"How did it get under the fridge?" Elliott asked.
"There is a spot on the ceiling." Cassie moans.
"Where are the girls?" Sam asked.
"Watching TV," Cassie claimed as she grabs another rag and begins scrubbing on the table.
"I thought this was washable!" Cassie claimed.
"That's how they get you," Sam claimed.
Cassie grumbled.
Sam laughed, grabbing a rag herself, Jack going to check in on the girls. As Sam helped clean off the paint, she couldn't believe how lucky she had been to be living life with her extended family. She didn't have a clue that Edora would bring them together. She would have never guessed that they would adopt two girls and her wildest dreams she never thought a baby would be in her future, but here she was, all her wildest dreams coming true.
The End.
A/N: Hey guys, it's the end. I can't believe it. I have the main bits of an epilogue, but I really want your input of what you'd like to see it's set five years into the future. I gave hints at a possible Daniel Janet relationship in this story, the tiniest of hints. Does anyone want to see that? Of course, it will be a short blurb. I want to thank you all for your continuous support. I am currently working on a 12 chapter story.
