Knight Hawk - Hyperspace
Jarik POV...
"Dad, I just realized something," Mara says suddenly.
"What's that?" I ask her, turning my chair to face her.
"It's been nearly a month since the last time I was here," she explains, making a face. "And it's been even longer for you."
I look up in thought for a second, shrugging in acknowledgement upon realizing she's correct.
"It would seem so," I respond.
"Oh my gosh, they probably think we're dead!" she exclaims, her eyes wide.
::They probably do, Mistress Mara!:: R5 beeps in laughter. ::I guess we don't have to come back here anymore if that's the case!::
"Seriously R5?" I ask, giving him a look.
::What?:: he asks innocently.
"Mara, I'm sure Hiccup and the others don't think we're dead," I reassure my adopted daughter.
"Dad, the last time they saw me is when I had to take off after you warned me about Thrawn's ambush on Atollon," she points out anxiously. "I wasn't exactly calm about it."
Mara then sighs, looking down at the floor.
"Honestly, I kind of feel a little guilty about it," she admits. "They've probably been stressing out about us for the past month."
"Well, today is the day we assure them that we're not dead," I tell her.
I smile and give her a comforting pat on the back, and she makes a face at me.
"You're being awfully casual about this," she remarks.
"I'm casual about a lot of things," I grin in reply.
Mara rolls her eyes at me, and just then we come out of hyperspace in front of the blue ocean world of Ahch-To. I take us down into the planet's atmosphere, already well familiar with the route to Temple Island despite the dark cloud cover currently hanging over the region, casting the ocean in a blanket of fog. Eventually the silhouette of Temple Island came into view, but as we got closer and closer to the island it started to become apparent that something was not right. At least half a dozen wooden ships were floating in the water just off the edge of the island: there were people here. Upon closer inspection it became readily apparent that the boats did not belong to the Hooligan tribe.
"What in the name of Morai..." I mutter uneasily.
"Uh... that's not good, right?" Mara asks, before raising her eyebrows in surprised recognition. "Okay, yeah, that's definitely not good."
"You recognize something about them?" I ask her.
"The lead boat has a Berserker crest on it," she explains worriedly.
I glance at her in surprise and concern, frowning, when R5 starts beeping urgently. I look back out the window to see several large boulders hurtling through the air in our direction. I swiftly angle the ship out of the way to avoid the projectiles, though one does manage to bounce off the side: still, that hit would leave nothing more than a scratch, and only gain R5's ire.
"Well this is stupid," I scoff in exasperation.
"Dad, I think the Berserkers have taken the Caretakers village," Mara points out worriedly.
I observe the same thing with a frown, concerned about whether or not the Caretakers are alright. They aren't fighters, and the Berserkers obviously aren't friendly.
"Well we can't have that," I say determinedly. "I'll jump out and say hello while you land the ship."
"Wait a second, shouldn't I join you?" she protests.
I think for a second before shrugging in acknowledgement.
"Fair enough. R5, can you take the ship in?" I ask him.
::Of course I can!:: he replies indignantly.
"Ok, ok, no need to throw a fit," I roll my eyes, waving a hand at him.
Once he plugs into the astromech socket to access the Knight Hawk's controls, Mara and I exit the cockpit and make our way towards the exit ramp. It opens up, providing us a clear view of the Caretaker's village beneath us, where I could see plenty of Berserker soldiers rushing around with their weapons. I didn't see any sign of the Caretakers just yet.
"Didn't you say all of the Berserkers were imprisoned?" I pause for a second, looking at Mara.
"Yeah, they were," she nods, looking out worriedly.
Acknowledging her answer, I waste no time and jump off of the ship's ramp to land on the ground just in the middle of the village square, Mara dropping down right beside me. Instantly we're surrounded by about a dozen Berserker warriors, all of them focusing on us, though a few others in the distance seemed to be trying to follow the Knight Hawk as it flew away towards the island's landing zone.
"Wh- where di-" one warrior sputters. "Who are you freaks?!"
"I'll do you one better: what our you doing on our island?" I demand, narrowing my eyes at them.
"Your island?" a voice calls out. "Hahahah! I'm sorry, but when was that ever established?"
I look over to see a man looking to be in his early twenties, with wild red hair, a scratchy beard, a tattoo running over his left eye and an ugly scar on his right cheek. Immediately I could notice the insanity in his eyes at he grinned at us in a mixture of crazed joy and curiosity, though he was also a bit tense as well. His gaze then falls on Mara, and his grin gets even wider.
"Well well well, is that who I think it is?" he asks excitedly.
"Dagur," Mara scowls at him.
"It is! Hahahah!" he doubles over in laughter. "Mara! How wonderful to see you again!"
"The feeling is not mutual," she retorts, reaching for her lightsaber. "When did you break out of jail?"
"Hmm... I can't remember the exact date, was it yesterday? Two days? A month? Who knows!" he snickers.
"Dagur, is it?" I interrupt, raising my voice to get his attention. "I don't care what you think you'll gain from being here, but there's only two options for you right now: leave this island right now, or risk losing your freedom."
Dagur frowns at me in annoyance, growling with sudden rage.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" he demands, before grinning. "I don't think you're in any position to make demands!"
"Oh really? Just try us!" Mara snaps, grabbing her lightsaber off her belt.
"Woah, woah! Watch it there you little witch!" Dagur exclaims, his men stepping forwards threateningly while he reaches for an axe. "You try any of your freaky magic, and these little walking toads get it!"
He directs our attention over to where several Berserkers are holding three of the Caretakers captive, one of them being Alcida-Auka, all holding knives to their throats. Mara widens her eyes in alarm, the three Caretakers spotting us and also widening their eyes, though despite their terror there was a bit of hope in them now.
"Alcida!" Mara says worriedly.
"Alssiii... what?" Dagur frowns, shaking his head. "Whatever, you get the point!"
"That's a bad move, Dagur," I state with a dangerous glare.
"Pfft! Of course it is! I'm a bad guy!" he sneers, laughing once more. "Let me guess, you Mara's space dad or something? Her precious, caring, stupid father?!"
"You might say that," I say calmly.
"Well then I've got something to say..." Dagur says, narrowing his eyes before grinning again. "Your daughter is beautiful! I thought she looked stunning three years ago, but now..."
He lets out a long whistle, and Mara grimaces in disgust.
"Can I have her too?" he asks hopefully. "Along with everything else on this island, of course."
I narrow my eyes at him in cold anger, clenching my fist. Taking several seconds to focus on the Force, gathering its energy around me, I compact it into a 'ball' of sorts and then slam both of my hands into the ground. Dagur only has a moment to widen his eyes in shocked realization before the shockwave throws him and all of the Berserkers into the air, freeing Alcida and the two Caretakers from their captors. Mara immediately sprints over to them, igniting her lightsaber, while I make a dash for Dagur himself. Two Berserkers that were the first to get up try to intercept me, but I blow them aside with a casual Force push, swinging an arm to punch a recovering Dagur. He manages to avoid my strike however, retrieving his axe with a scowl.
"Another witch-freak?! As if one wasn't enough!" he screams.
He charges at me with a maniacal war cry, swinging his axe at my head. I duck underneath his strike and counter by elbowing him in the face, and then punching the weapon straight out of his hands. Dagur lets out a yelp of pain, jumping back while shaking his hands since I used my metal arm, but I don't give him a break and then kick him in the chest to knock him down.
"In answer to your previous request, I'd have to say no," I state mockingly.
Dagur scowls angrily, getting to his feet with a yell and lunging at me with his fist out. I duck underneath his swing and deflect the next two hits, but he manages to kick me in the knee. I fall down to one knee with a grunt and swiftly catch his fist with my hand, halting his next strike. He widens his eyes in alarm, and I stand back up before tossing him away with a Force push, slamming him against the side of one of the Caretakers huts.
I'm forced to pull my attention away from him however when several Berserkers come charging at me with loud war cries, weapons in hand. I step back and duck underneath an axe strike, and then flip over a second Berserker, whose mace smashes into the head of the first guy instead of me. I kick the second guy in the back, sending him to the ground, and then spin around to throw out a fierce punch at the third. The Berserker raises his shield to block my strike, but it shatters into pieces upon contact with the beskar metal of my arm, which continues onward to send him flying several dozen feet, likely with a few broken ribs.
Mara was having similar success against the Berserkers who came after her, cutting through their weapons with her lightsaber and then incapacitating them by either kicking them in the face or blowing them away with a Force push. Behind her, Alcida and the other two Caretakers do their best to try and gather everyone else from their village together, nervously avoiding the Berserkers as best they could. I make my way over to Mara, incapacitating a Berserker along the way, and the two of us make short work of the remaining Berserkers, though without killing them.
A sudden cry has us whirling around in alarm to see Dagur restraining Alcida, holding a knife to her throat. Another Berserker, this one wearing a torn leather tunic over a chainmail vest and a helmet with bigger horns than the this, kept the other villagers away from Dagur by threatening them with a rusty sword.
"Still want to fight you freaks of nature?" Dagur calls out, grinning.
"What is your problem?!" Mara demands angrily. "Let her go, or else—"
"Or else what, princess? Use your magic on me?" he asks mockingly, shaking his head. "No, I don't think so. I'm not about to let you freaks surprise me again. So, here's the deal. You surrender now, we take everything of value on this island, and then maybe I won't cut the throat of this..."
Dagur pauses, furrowing his brow in confusion as he glances down at Alcida.
"...uh, what are you? A giant frog?" he asks.
Alcida shouts a few choice words in her native language, but she's silenced by Dagur pressing the knife closer to her throat, her eyes wide with fear.
"Eh, I'm sure you get the picture," Dagur shrugs, grinning at us.
I glare at the Berserker chief in frustration and contempt, and he narrows his eyes at me in response. He may seem insane, but he's also capable of being quite serious as well, his unspoken warning to me all too clear: I make another move, and he kills Alcida. It's a familiar situation that I've become all too familiar with, and it frustrates me to no end. No matter how powerful or skilled I—or any Jedi—might be, there's still very little I can do in this hostage scenario.
"I still see your glowy sword, Mara!" Dagur says warningly.
Mara glares furiously at him, but hesitantly begins to lower her lightsaber with Alcida's life on the line. Just then however, I start to hear the flap of wings in the air, followed by the roar of a Deadly Nadder. Mara widens her eyes in surprise, feeling a surge of hope, which lets me know which dragon is approaching. The Berserker's heard the roar as well, but just as Dagur began looking around for the source, he was suddenly sent flying by a purple Nadder who smacked him with with her head, roaring angrily at him. Dagur tumbles across the ground with a groan of pain, while his second-in-command jumps back with a startled cry of fear.
"Zenna!" Mara calls out happily.
Another dragon then makes himself known, a familiar shriek building up before one of the Berserker's ships explodes from a violet plasma blast. Toothless and Hiccup then come soaring into view, followed by the rest of the dragon riders, who begin to unleash their own aerial attacks from the backs of their dragons. Zenna chirps happily at the sight of Mara, the latter of which swiftly runs over to her in greeting, as well as to make sure Alcida was okay. As the Berserkers start to panic at the appearance of the dragon riders, I take advantage of the chaos by using the Force to blast incapacitate a few, resorting to physical strikes if they try to attack me.
"Wh- Hiccup?!" I hear Dagur shout at the sky incredulously.
"How's it going Dagur?" Hiccup shouts back in kind.
"You're a cheater! How do you know about this island?!" he screams in outrage. "AAAGGHH!"
He grabs and axe and starts running in Hiccup's direction, but is once more knocked down when Zenna whips her tail out, smacking him in the face. He hits the ground with a grunt of pain while Zenna starts to advance on him with a snarl of rage, though when Mara gets into a skirmish with another Berserker, she quickly switches her focus over to them instead. Dagur gets to his feet, shaking his head, only to see me standing a few feet in front of him with a stern glare on my face.
"Since I woke up today with the intention of not dealing with any nonsense, I'm going to give you the opportunity to leave," I state, narrowing my eyes. "And you would be wise to not ever return to the island again."
Dagur glares at me, full of rage, but it's overtaken by fear and the knowledge that he doesn't have the ability to pull a victory from this battle today, especially not with the dragon riders present. He's also afraid of me, far more than he is of Mara: good.
"Gahh!" he growls, pointing a finger threateningly at me. "Your days are numbered, you hear me?!"
"Leave. Now," I say fiercely in reply, taking a step forward.
Frightened, Dagur takes a few nervous steps backward and then takes off at a sprint while calling for a retreat. The other Berserkers are far more eager than he is to do so, rushing to their boats, some of them carrying the few who were knocked unconscious. Three of the boats, including the one shot by Toothless, were now completely destroyed as a result of the ferocious assault from the dragons, forcing the Berserkers to crowd themselves onto the other three boats, and start sailing away from the island as fast as the wind would carry them.
The Caretakers start to cheer at the victory, dancing happily with each other, and I ease up with a sigh of relief. Likewise, Hiccup and the rest of the group allow the Berserkers to sail away unhindered, coming in to land close by, while Zenna whines needfully for Mara's attention, constantly nudging the redhead's shoulder. She does her best to alleviate her dragon's wants while also trying to check the health of Alcida.
"It's okay Zenna— yes, I'm happy to see you too girl," she was attempting to say.
"I've never seen Dagur running away so scared before!" Snotlout exclaims smugly. "We sure showed him!"
"Yeah, it was glorious!" Tuffnut says in agreement. "He was screaming like a freshly whipped yak!"
"Uhh..." Fishlegs pauses warily.
"Or better yet, he took off like Hiccup did back whenever his inventions would destroy the village!" Ruffnut suggests.
The twins both cackle at the thought, and Hiccup looks at them with some annoyance.
"Thanks for the reminder," he deadpans.
"Ugh," Astrid rolls her eyes. "Well, at least we drove Dagur away."
The riders all dismount their dragons, and Mara makes her way over to us with a frantically whining Zenna right behind her every step of the way, practically keeping her head over the redhead. Alcida came up along with them, her mother also joining in.
"This certainly wasn't the return I was expecting," I start off, crossing my arms with a slightly bewildered look.
"Since when did Dagur get out of jail?!" Mara asks incredulously. "And how did he find our island?"
"He escaped just a few days after you left," Astrid replies.
"I can't believe he found this place. Nobody else except us knows about it," Hiccup says uneasily.
"The young dragon riders," Alcida's mother says, smiling at them. "I must thank you for your aid to drive off those terrible people. And you as well, Master Shan. Your timing was impeccable."
"Of course, matron," I nod my head in acknowledgement.
"I'm sorry that Dagur attacked your village," Hiccup apologizes to her. "I just wish we had gotten here sooner."
"That is quite alright, young man," the matron reassures him, turning around. "Come daughter! There is much that needs to be done now."
"Yes mother!" Alcida nods.
She gives Mara and the rest of us a quick wave before following her mother back to their village, which suffered some damage as a result of the Berserkers plundering.
"Not that I'm happy to see you guys, but why are you here all of a sudden?" Mara asks the group.
"Zenna just... took off all of a sudden," Astrid replies, shrugging her shoulders. "And, we were passing by the area anyway. We were in the middle of a search."
"Blah blah blah, we should be asking you when you got back!" Snotlout demands. "Where were you? When? How?"
"How?" Tuffnut frowns. "What does that mean?"
"We just returned no less than ten minutes ago," I inform them, looking out in the direction where the Berserkers sailed off to. "Only to find our island invaded by Berserkers."
"I can't believe that..." Mara shakes her head with a scowl.
Zenna growls in response to sensing Mara's anger, her pupils narrowing as she also gazes at the Berserker ships, which get smaller, though Mara calms her down by patting her snout soothingly.
"We're fine girl," she murmurs, refocusing on the group. "Sorry for being gone so long. You guys were probably stressing out like crazy."
"Uh, yeah we were! We thought you were dead!" Ruffnut scoffs.
"No, we did not," Hiccup retorts irritably.
"The possibility was high..." Fishlegs chimes in sheepishly. "Mara, did... kind of leave in a hurry."
"Yeah..." Mara nods in response. "Turned out to be a good thing that I did."
"So what happened? You said the Empire found the rebel base?" Hiccup asks in concern.
"They did," I confirm with a sad sigh. "We managed to escape after a prolonged battle, but it cost us more than half of our entire fleet, and even more rebel personnel."
The group all share worried and sad looks with each other, even Snotlout and the twins looking serious for a moment.
"That's terrible," Astrid says, looking at us sympathetically. "So what happens with the Rebellion now? Is it..."
"Gone? No. Atollon wasn't the base for the entire Rebellion, just Phoenix Cell, so the losses remained mostly exclusive to them," I explain grimly. "Still, it was a massive hit, and it'll be a while before the rebel leaders would attempt any gathering of our forces again."
"Wait, I thought you were the leader," Tuffnut says in confusion.
"I'm one of its founders. There's a difference," I correct him.
"Why don't you guys just attack the Empire head on in retaliation? Do the same damage back?" Snotlout suggests.
"That's a terrible idea," I reply in exasperation.
"Why?" he asks, frowning.
"The same reason Berk attacking the Dragon's Nest was a bad idea," Mara points out, reminding him of the battle with the Red Death. "When you guys rescued me—thank you by the way—a lot of that was seriously lucky."
"She's right. They never would've expected a direct hit like that, but now they'd be cautious," Hiccup adds in agreement. "Don't forget, it's still an Empire. They've got way more numbers and strength than the Rebellion."
"You know who else has more strength?" Tuffnut asks with a grin.
"Not you," Ruffnut says, and he glares at her.
"Muttonheads," Snotlout mutters.
3rd person POV...
R5 grumbles in frustration as he analyzes the damage done to the Knight Hawk's hull by the stone boulder. It wasn't more that a scratch, maybe a very minor dent, but to the astromech it was one too many. He rolls around in his own form of anxiety-filled pacing, running a list of possibilities through his processor about what course of action to take so as to repair the damage done to the ship, beeping quietly the whole time.
::'It's not too bad,' Master Jarik would say,:: R5 beeps sarcastically, and if he could he'd be rolling his eyes. ::Easy for him. He's not the one who takes care of the ship!::
As he was doing so, however, his systems suddenly picked up some sort of signal that the Knight Hawk was detecting. Confused, he uses his jets to fly down from the top of the Knight Hawk and rolls up the ramp into the ship, heading for the cockpit. Once there he plugs into the astromech socket, boosting the sensors available to him. After a few moments, what he finds nearly causes his processor to glitch in surprise and newfound fear.
Jarik POV...
Toothless, Stormfly, and the rest of the dragons jumbled together while investigating the Caretakers, still not completely familiar with them. To their credit, and my relief, the Caretakers were not bothered very much, and some of them actually gave them a few fish as a means of gratitude. Fishlegs was attempting to learn more about their society and lifestyle from Alcida, who was fairly eager to explain a few things: with permission from her mother of course. Snotlout and the twins by this point knew better than to do anything that would risk the ire of the Caretakers or myself, so I wasn't too concerned about them. Hiccup and Astrid, meanwhile, continued catching up with Mara and I on recent events, while Zenna of course remained by Mara's side.
"Wow. I guess life isn't boring for you anymore Hiccup," Mara was saying.
"My life was never... boring..." he mutters defensively.
"Come on, you know she's right," Astrid teases him. "I know I was getting bored."
"Thanks a lot, Astrid," Hiccup deadpans, rolling his eyes. "It's nice to know that the only time I enjoy something is when my our lives are at stake."
"It's all I've ever known," I shrug.
"Technically, Dad, you've been alive through a time of peace much longer than the rest of us," Mara points out, raising an eyebrow. "Before the Clone War, and all that?"
"I suppose that's true," I concede with an agreeable nod. "Even so, I still haven't had any peace since before I was fourteen."
"Whatever," she says dismissively.
Mara yelps when she's nearly shoved over by Zenna, who was aggressively prodding her with her head.
"I get it, you big whiner!" she exclaims in exasperation, rubbing Zenna's head. "I'm right here!"
"She really did miss you," Astrid remarks.
"Clearly," Mara scoffs. "So... what were you guys doing around here anyways?"
"Oh, you're gonna love this. We're looking for a rogue dragon rider," Hiccup starts off. "They've been destroying ships lately, riding a sharp class dragon that we've never heard of before. My Dad wasn't too happy."
"I can imagine," Mara murmurs, and I give her a look, to which she just shrugs.
"We figured out this dragon likes to eat sea slugs, so we've been searching several islands that have them," he continues to say. "We've been to three islands so far."
"If this is a new dragon you've never heard of before, how do you know what it eats?" she asks, slightly confused.
"The Dragon Eye had a few notes on it," he explains.
"Where did you say you found that again?" I ask curiously.
"On an old dragon hunter ship, after we heard that Dagur escaped," Astrid says.
"It's really incredible," Hiccup adds, pulling the object out of his bag. "To be honest, I almost thought it was some sort of device you guys might have."
He shows us the Dragon Eye, handing it over to me, and I take a moment to inspect it with a thoughtful gaze, noting the intricate mechanisms in it, particularly the use of crystal lenses to project an image, like what Hiccup and Astrid described.
"Well it's definitely one of the most sophisticated things I've seen on Ahch-To so far, I'll say that," I remark, handing it back to Hiccup. "But it doesn't seem to be from beyond your atmosphere."
"Honestly, it kind of resembles a lightsaber," Mara suggests, frowning at it. "A big, fat lightsaber, anyways."
Before the conversation could continue, however, the sound of frantic beeping reaches my ears. I look over to see R5 using his jets to fly over to us, seemingly at a very urgent pace. He nearly topples over after stumbling out of the air, but I quickly reach out to keep him upright. Hiccup and Astrid both step back in surprise at the droid's sudden appearance, whereas Zenna hisses at him and curls her tail around Mara in a protective fashion, making the redhead roll her eyes.
"R5? What's got you in such a rush?" I ask, slightly bewildered.
::They found us! They found us!:: he beeps frantically, shaking on his legs.
"Woah, why's the tin can of metal going so crazy?" Tuffnut asks in confusion.
R5's sudden appearance had drawn the attention of the rest of the dragon riders, who were coming over.
"Maybe he was frightened by a terrible terror," Ruffnut suggests.
Normally R5 would've gotten angry over them for their comments, but to my surprise he seemed to have barely heard them, and continued his frantic beeping.
"Woah, R5, slow down," I exclaim, grabbing his dome to keep him still. "What're you talking about?"
::Ahch-To is no longer safe. They found us!:: R5 beeps frantically.
I take a step back, shocked, staring at him in horror while Mara gasps in disbelief.
"What?!" she asks anxiously.
"What's wrong? What's he saying?" Astrid asks in concern.
::The Knight Hawk's scanners just detected a cruiser coming out of hyperspace!:: R5 wails.
"Is somebody going to explain what the heck is wrong with that thing?" Snotlout demands.
"Snotlout, be quiet!" Hiccup scolds. "Now's not the time."
"Oh no..." I murmur in despair, horror and guilt crashing down on top of me like a mountain.
Right at that moment, a booming sound reminiscent of thunder cracks through the air. I look up at the sky to see the small form of a dagger-like warship hovering in orbit through an opening in the otherwise cloudy atmosphere. The rest of the Vikings gasp in surprise and fear, the dragons flinching at the sudden burst of loud noise.
"Umm... were you expecting visitors?" Fishlegs whimpers fearfully.
"Dad..." Mara asks quietly, her voice laced with terror.
I'm on the verge of panicking myself, a million thoughts running through my mind: how did the Empire find us? Did I screw up without realizing it? What am I supposed to do now? I've just doomed Mara, myself, and everyone else on this planet! I've...
My panic falters when I something catches my attention: why is there only one ship? The Empire would've spared no expense in sending everything they had to crush me, and yet no other ships are emerging from hyperspace. Come to think of it, from what I can tell, that doesn't even look like a Star Destroyer, or any other Imperial warship...
The fear and anxiety is still at the forefront of my mind, but now it's backed up by confusion. Who does that ship belong to?
"Hold on a second..." I murmur, narrowing my eyes.
Steadfast - Ahch-To
3rd person POV...
Admiral Ar'alani stood on the bridge of her cruiser, looking out of the viewport at the blue curvature of the planet in front of her with a critical gaze, information processing itself to her computers as the Steadfast ran its scans. After a few moments the scans were complete, and she glanced down at her officers for analysis.
"Report, Captain Khresh," she says.
"It looks as though this is the correct planet we were expected to find, Admiral," Khresh states, analyzing the data on his terminal. "Our scans indicate a large abundant of lifeforms on the planet, but no traces of any technology whatsoever. The only signals we detected come from single point on the surface, the most clear of which originates from a VCX-350 light freighter, matching the description given to us by our informant."
Ar'alani curls her lip briefly in distaste at the description of the planet, but nods her head in satisfaction after Khresh finishes his report.
"It seems Mitth'raw'nuruodo was accurate in his assessment," she comments, glancing behind her. "Well done on bringing us here successfully, Vah'nya."
"Thank you Admiral," the young Chiss female replies. "It was much more arduous than I'm used too though. Using Second Sight to determine where an object has been is... difficult."
Vah'nya relinquishes possession of the slightly curved cylindrical object back into the hands of Ar'alani: the lightsaber of Jarik Shan, which Mitth'raw'nuruodo managed to deliver to them for precisely this reason.
"Nevertheless, you succeeded," the Chiss Admiral states, a hint of a smile appearing on her face, though it vanishes just as quickly. "Now, let us hope that this effort will be well worth it. Captain, isolate the location of the signals you are detecting, and take us in."
